It's been a long time coming, but it's back, The story is no longer on hiatus, and I couldn't be happier to write this again.

"Agent Texas what is the status of project R.O.S.E.?" The director asked.
"She is on her way back as we speak"
"Good"
BEEP BEEP BEEP, Yang's heart-rate monitor beeped away almost rhythmically as Blake sat beside her teammates bed. Her arm had been patched up, but that didn't stop it from hurting every time she moved. BEEP BEEP BEEP, Blake continued to sit in silence as sunlight peeked through the blinds behind her, not knowing if Yang was going to live or not. BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, Blake burst into tears as doctors rushed into the room to try and save Yang, but to no avail. Blake stood up and ran out of the room as fast as she could, trying to escape the truth.
Ruby arrived at the Freelancer base as the sun started to rise over the mountains. She got off the 4x4 and unfolded Crescent Rose, but before she could attack the numerous Freelancer troops that were gathering a loud rining sound happened and she blacked out.
When Ruby awoke she was on an operating table in a bright white with a bunch of tubes stuck in her. A voice spoke over the intercom
"Good morning, please raise your right arm"
Ruby raised her arm only to see it wasn't the same. She quickly rushed to the mirrored glass on one wall and what she saw almost made her faint. Her arms were metal and here eye had been replaced with a robotic one.
"What the fuck did you do to me!" Ruby screamed as she started punching the glass"
"Subdue her" a voice said right before Ruby blacked out again.
Weiss drove as fast as she could, the landscape zoomed past her as she tracked Ruby's signal. She could see Freelancer ships flying overhead, but they hadn't noticed her yet. Weiss drove the Ghost over to some rocks and took out a pair of binoculars. As she surveyed the area she noticed several guard patrols near one dome-shaped building. That must be where Ruby went, Weiss thought to herself. She slid down the cliff and hid behind some crates before a guard could see her. As soon as the path was clear she bolted for another set of crates and took cover. She knew that stealth was the only option here. Weiss eventually reached the entrance to the building and went inside. There weren't any guards inside as far as she could tell. She walked to another door and opened it. Inside she could see a figure with a red cape and a scythe standing in the darkness.
"Ruby!", Weiss said, "I'm glad your ok, c'mon let's leave"
Ruby said nothing and instead just stood there
"R-Ruby? Did you hear me?", Weiss asked. Instead of a response Ruby fired a sniper round that hit straight through Weiss' knee.
"AAAAAUUUGGHH!", Weiss screamed as she collapsed from the pain. Ruby, or at least what was left of Ruby, stepped out of the shadows. What Weiss saw was horrific to say the least. Ruby had arms replaced with metal, half her face was metal, and she was covered in blood. The worst part was the terrifying grin she had on her face.
"Are you impressed?", A voice asked over a loudspeaker
"W-what did you do to her?", Weiss asked
"We have transformed Ms. Rose here into the most deadly weapon ever, It's a shame you had to interfere though. Ruby, please dispose of this trash"
"Wait, Ruby don't do this, it's me Weiss remember?", Weiss pleaded as Ruby raised her scythe. With one quick swipe Weiss was no more.
"Good, prepare to move out. we've got a school to take", The voice said.

Blake had heard the announcements and rushed outside with the other students to see giant space ships firing at the school. Many students ran and panicked but some stood their ground only to be taken down by long range snipers. An army was approaching from the East and warships from the North. Several drop ships had the Freelancer logo on them while others had the White Fang insignia. Blake met up with teams JNPR and CRDL along with Glynda and Ozpin.
"What should we do?", Jaune asked frantically
"There's nothing we can do, Beacon is under seige and I won't risk the lives of students", Ozpin said as they took cover behind a crashed ship. Some enemy soldiers were rushing their position and were closing in. All of a sudden a hail of bullets killed many of the soldiers. The group looked to the source of the bullets to see the Reds and Blues with a variety of weapons
"Well don't just stand there, grab a gun", Carolina said as she shot some more enemy soldiers, "We've got a long night ahead of us"
Everyone grabed weapons and vehicles and stood ready to defend Beacon Academy from the onslaught of enemies coming their way
