"What's wrong, Uncle Poseidon?" Asks Thalia in worry. She and Nico looked at each other.
Poseidon took a big gulp of air, and released it. He then looked at them seriously, his sea green eyes darkened, and his lips drew a thin line. "I passed a cafe today…" They looked at him in curiosity. They didn't know that what they heard, would change their situation.
"Triston and Percy have met".
Chapter Seven
It was a quiet day with beautiful weather. The sun was shining brightly, the sky was clear of clouds, and the weather was warm. All in all, it was wonderful. So why was Annabeth in such a horrible mood?
Well, it started when she woke up. Right when she opened her eyes and saw the date, she knew that it wasn't going to be the best day ever. It was a Saturday, to be exact, Saturday, May 18. She remembered that Percy was off only on Fridays, Wednesdays, and most of the time, Sundays.
She also remembered that is was exactly 30 days til the History project was due. Unlike her other subjects, History-this year-was having the project count as her end-of-the-year grade. Her other subjects had tests (apart from Architecture, which was also a project, but one that she would get on the first of June) to do instead.
Then her day went from bad to worse when she realized that she had to work on some of the project alone, without Percy's wonderful skills of drawing. She was only assured by the fact that her coloring skills, for finishing the pictures on the poster, weren't bad. In fact, they were above average, but not really above beyond.
So here she was now, sitting at her kitchen table with the almost finished poster, and tons of crayola crayons. She was currently coloring in the bubble-lettered title with a pacific blue crayon, a timber-wolf grey crayon waiting to be used for the next bubble letter.
Annabeth's two little brothers were sitting on the couch, watching a Spongebob Squarepants replay episode. She heard them complaining to each other about how this episode was always playing.
She sighed in frustration. She didn't get good sleep last night due to the fact that since her parents were away last night, her two annoying little siblings were in their room shouting at each other.
Annabeth smiled when she realized that only one more bubble letter needed to be colored. It was to be grey, a timber-wolf grey to be specific. Her happy smile turns to a crestfallen look on her face when she realized that she had one more picture to color after it. She felt herself snap the pacific blue crayon that was in her right hand.
She slammed the broken crayon onto the kitchen table and stood, causing her siblings to look at her like she was crazy.
"I'm going to the craft store around the block to find material for my History project. When mom and dad wakes up, tell them that I'm going to be gone for around a half-an-hour. Okay?" Said Annabeth, who just picked up her wallet and walked out of the door without even listening to her brothers' answers.
"Okay then, Annabeth. Sheesh, what's her problem today?" Asked Matthew, who turned to Bobby, who just just shrugged in turn. Noth went back to watching the television.
Annabeth was walking slowly towards the craft store that was just a few minutes away from her neighborhood. She walked into the store when the jingle of the bell showed the owner that a customer had come. An old lady who was sitting at the cashier smiled and her welcomingly. Annabeth smiled back.
She went to the aisle that held art material like styrofoam, toothpicks, popsicle sticks, clay, etc. Annabeth's face lit up when she saw a tub of greyish white modeling clay. That would be good to use for the mini replica that Percy and her were going to have to make soon. She picked up the first tub she saw and walked to the counter.
She put the tub of modeling clay onto the counter and brought out her wallet. The old lady picked up the modeling clay and scanned it. Annabeth saw the price for the clay come up. 11.29, pretty pricey, but considering it was one of the best brand-made modeling clay, she didn't mind.
Annabeth got the exact amount out of her wallet and handed it to the lady, who thanked her while giving her the receipt.
Annabeth walked out of the store and started walking towards the main sidewalk that lead to her neighborhood when she bumped into someone.
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry mister…" Annabeth's eyes went wide when she saw the person. The man had to be at least six foot tall. He wore a business suit on, which must have been uncomfortable in the nice weather. He had unruly, jet black hair that looked like someone tried to neaten it up. His eyes were a sea green color that reminded her of Percy. His tan skin was another feature like Percy's. In fact, the man looked like an exact copy of Percy, only about three or four inches taller! Not to mention the fact that he flashed her a similar lopsided grin!
"...Poseidon. Poseidon Olympia. And it's okay, probably my fault too. I wasn't paying much attention to where I was. Sorry, but I have to get going, have a meeting with my brother." Says the now named Poseidon. He then stepped to her left and started walking away, oblivious to the look of shock on her face.
"It couldn't be, Percy couldn't possibly be Poseidon's son!? After all, the guy is married to a girl, Amy, I think." Murmured Annabeth, who was already nearing her house. Just as she stepped in and announced she was home, something clicked inside of her.
My dad pays me 500 $ a week, which is quite a bit. He also is suppose to be quite the famous one. That's what my mom told me. Wrote Percy. But I don't know much about him.
"Nico's dad is Hades, while my father is Zeus. Their brother is Poseidon." Explains an eleven year-old Thalia.
"Well, if it isn't Percy, our little cousin" says a smiling Thalia as she goes to hug him.
Oh, and say hi to my dad for me.
"I'm so stupid! It all makes sense, no wonder he gets so much money from his father! His father is one of the richest men in the USA!" Annabeth said to herself, stunned she didn't figure it out before.
She then paused, Wait, does Percy know who his father is?! That his father who he said he never met was so close to him, around ten minutes away! Her eyes widened when she thought about that. But she then remembered how he wrote about saying hi to his dad when she had first met him. But then again, there is a possibility that Percy doesn't know.
Annabeth bit her lip. But he looks exactly like his father.
A determined look crossed Annabeth's face. She was going to figure out this mystery even if it takes her forever. She then marched to her room, before literally face-planting on the ground.
After I finish coloring the poster, thought Annabeth miserably.
Oh yes, what an annoying day this was.
WwW
Percy sighed as he looked out of the window with a wistful look. He wanted to be spending his day outside drawing, or better yet, hanging with Annabeth. Not in Demeter's Sweet Treat's shop working.
He started designing cookies with flowers and smiley faces. Demeter always had him decorate the bakery's pastries due to his skill for decorating and drawing. He just finished making a blue flower cookie.
Blue, his favorite color. He still remembered the blue goods that his mom would cook. The pancakes, the cookies, the candy. He also remembered the kind words that came with the delicious foods. How he use to get the cookies when he was hurt or sad. How he would get the pancakes when they were celebrating or extra happy about something. And how he would get the candy when his mom would come home from the candy store she worked at. His favorite was always the blue jelly beans.
He then gave another sigh. Oh how he missed his mom. She was one of the best people in the world. He could still remember everything she had done for him.
Suddenly, Percy felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned to see Katie Gardner, daughter of Demeter. She has forest green eyes and lightish brown hair that is tinted slightly auburnish. She was wearing regular denim jeans and a green t-shirt. Her converse sneaker were old and worn, and her face was clean of make-up. She was slightly tomboyish, and was also close to Percy, like a sister. She was currently smiling.
"Hey Percy! I was wondering if you could do me a big favor...please? I need you to take me night shift." Pleaded Katie, making Percy smile before writing on his notepad.
Sure Katie, I don't have anything today really, so I can take your night shift.
Katie gave Percy a hug before Travis Stoll came in. His brown hair was still messily styled, like he just did a prank and was running. His blue eyes were lit up with trouble. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a red hoodie on. He was grinning mischieviously like always. When he saw Katie, he waved at her.
Katie gave Percy a smile before walking towards Travis, a playful scowl on her face. "Have you done a prank, Stoll?" Demanded Katie in a tone that made Travis stand straighter and give a mock salute.
"No Katie, I haven't done anything…" said Travis, a gleam in his eyes. Suddenly, you could hear a scream of frustration and the sound of lots of tripping and falling. "...Nothing big at least". Katie sighed before dragging Travis out of the bakery.
"Come on, Stoll. Let's go to the museum before I find you doing another prank" said Katie as she shut the door. You could see Travis smiling happily as he listened to Katie talk.
Percy smiled. I guess Katie forgave Travis. So now they are hanging out. Hmm, who would've thought Katie and Travis would get to together? …Actually, pretty much everyone did...never mind. Percy thought as he watched katie and Travis leave his sights.
Percy sighed before looking at the clock. It was 4:00 p.m. the time he usually got off. But adding Katie's shift...well, he was going to be here for awhile.
Percy set down his frosting tool (that had blue in it, might I add) and went to the sink to wash his hands. Katie's job was to usually sort out the customer's pre-orders, favorite's, etc. She also counted the amount that was split between her, her mom, Percy, and the bakery needs. Lately it's been busy, so Percy knew that his paycheck would be slightly larger than usual.
Percy started sorting through the pre-orders when he heard the door open and the bell ring. He didn't look up for awhile, expecting it to be Demeter or Tyson. He could hear two different footsteps stop in front of the counter.
He looked up and his eyes widened at who he saw. Two men standing there. One had slightly greyish black hair even though he was quite young, mid-thirties maybe. His eyes were an electric blue that reminded him of someone. The other man looked younger, but was obviously older by the way he held himself. He had black hair and obsidian eyes. His pale complexion was familiar.
Then he knew who those two looked like. Nico and Thalia. His heart ached when he thought those two names. His cousins. Everytime he saw them, he wanted to forgive them. To be able to smile and laugh with them like he use to three years ago. But every time they pleaded for forgiveness, he just couldn't. He couldn't look into their eyes and even show complete acceptance. Not yet, at least.
Both men looked at him with slight curiosity and mostly shock. "He looks exactly like him" murmured the eldest. The blue-eyed man looked at him sharply before saying.
"Hello Percy. I'm Zeus, and this man here is Hades. We're your uncles."

A/N: I know, I'm so mean. I've been giving you so many cliffhangers (more like only a couple) but I can't help it! Anyways, did any of you notice the slight moment of Tratie? Liked it? :3
Question 7: Sally Jackson's uncle died when? And what was the cause of his death? (For answering when Sally's uncle die, answer by what year of school was she in. Ex: preschool, elementary, etc.)
Au Revoir!
