Chapter VI

Ingrid was embarrassed as she went to find her sister. She knew it was something that all women went through and was perfectly normal but she couldn't help but blush bright red. She knocked on her sister's bedroom door. " 'Bekah? Can I come in?"

" Of course. What's wrong." The now fourteen year old shuffled into the room. Her face was the colour of beet root.

" I've started my bleedings." She murmured, barely audible. To her surprise, Rebekah laughed.

The blonde original shook her head. " It's nothing to be embarassed about. It's something all women go through. I even went through it when I was human." She gave Ingrid's shoulders a gentle squeeze. " My mother used to make a herbal tea to help with the cramps from it. Would you like me to get someone to fetch you a cup." She nodded, looking down.

Rebekah spent the rest of the day explaining to Ingrid how she was now a woman. She also told her how to use rags to absorb the blood and the such.

Rebekah walked absentmindedly through the halls of her family's home. " 'Bekah! Have you seen Ingrid? We were supposed to go riding earlier but she never showed up. I'm worried. She never misses the chance to go riding!"

She turned around to face Kol. " She's fine, brother. She's just a woman now and simply needs some time to...adjust."

" What do you-Oh!" His face went bright red as he realised what she meant. " I-I see." He sped away, his face bright red whilst his sister laughed at him.

Elijah and Klaus stood by as they watched their youngest sibling play in the gardens. "What happened to the little girl who turned up on our doorstep?" Elijah sighed.

" She grew up." His little brother supplied. " She's still our little Ingrid. Just a bit older."

" I've found a way for you to break his spirit."

" How?"

" There's a girl they've taken in. He cares about her. They all call her sibling."

" You're suggesting I can use her to get to him?"

" Naturally. Just wait a couple of years. Until she's old enough for them to turn her. Kill her then. When she's in their grasp for eternity. Rip her away."

Mikael smirked. He knew compelling himself a spy in the castle was a good idea. He was going to break his 'son' and then kill him. He'd have to be careful for now. He didn't want anyone catching word that he would be in England.

A/N: Apologies on the length of the chapters. I promise you they will get longer later on. These are pretty much just fillers to set the scene. Loved it? Hated it? Please review!
