I finally finished! It took me forever to get this chapter to be up to my standards. I deeply apologize for not being around for the past 2 months. Life got in my way I guess. Anyway, now that I finished this chapter, I'm going to finish up the latest chapter of Caged. With my busy school schedule, it's going to take me longer to get out chapters. But I promise you, I will get new chapters out. For both of my stories.

I just want to thank you all for being such patient and loyal readers. You guys make my days so much brighter!

Please enjoy!

I DON'T OWN THE TEEN TITANS!

On most occasions, students dread the upcoming week, which brought a close to the weekend excitement. The boredom washed over every student as they prepared to return to the evil which they knew as high school, an evil so foul it washes clean the purity of childhood and replaces it with the demands and responsibilities of adulthood. This week was no different for most schools. However, Jump City High was not like any other school on the planet. Instead, a new aura of excitement filled the dull halls, a buzz of fun that only came with anticipation for the week to come. The week that most students attending Jump City High were ecstatic for. Game Week.

Game Week is the week of the football game. 2 Fridays out of every month held a football game after school. The tradition of celebrating the Game Week had only began a year before, when Jump City High had finally won its first National Championship since 1986. It was all thanks to two sophomores. Victor Stone and Dick Grayson. The two were legendary on the field and both had lead the Titans to sweep the competition and win the National Championship as freshmen.

Game Week was the tradition everyone had heard of. Everyone except Kori.

Kori woke up at the same time that she normally did. The sun had just started to rise above the horizon and the birds chirped their happy morning tunes. She jumped out of bed and skipped to her bathroom where she got dressed and prepared for another great day. When she skipped down the stairs, she was surprised to find that Galfore wasn't in the kitchen making breakfast. He would usually awaken very early and make breakfast for everyone, but today the kitchen was empty. Kori noticed the note on the refrigerator door and tore it off to read. "Star, I have left to pick up your sister. She passed out in some bar downtown and I must get her home. I will pick you up at 7:30. I hope this isn't a problem. –Galfore" She sighed and pulled out a bowl and made herself some cereal. At 7:30, she heard the door fling open and a heavily drunk Koma stumbled up the stairs, slurring curse words under her breath. Kori twisted her head to see Galfore walk quietly into the house, gently shutting the door. He sighed and motioned for Kori to follow him to the car, which she did compliantly. Once she hopped inside the car, he started the car and drove toward the high school. "I believe I should apologize to you, Star." Galfore said after a few minutes of driving silently. Kori cocked her head and studied her guardian. "For what, Knorfka?" She asked innocently. "I've noticed how hard it has been since you've left Tamaran. It's been hard for all of us, especially Koma." He explained. Kori's face darkened and she bowed her head. "It has been hard, yes." She stated. He nodded and a smile outstretched his face. "The first 6 weeks of arriving here were tough on you, but that has changed ever since school started. I know you have made many friends since first attending. I believe I have never seen you this happy since your time on Tamaran." He reflected. He placed a hand under her chin and beamed happily. "It makes me happy to see you so happy. I hope it remains that way for a very long time." Before he could say anymore, he pulled into the high school parking lot and opened her door for her. "Know that I am proud of you, my little Star. Now, have a glorious day!" He bellowed. Before she left, she crushed him into a hug. "Thank you, Knorfka." She whispered. She kissed his cheek and skipped away. She disappeared behind the chain-linked fence, looking back to see Galfore pulling away in the white SUV.

The first thing Koi had noticed was how strangely everyone dressed. She had arrived when most of the bleachers were filled up by students. Many of the students she passed by wore strange hats, each being unique in their own way. When she made it to the bottom of the stairs, she saw most of her friends talking and laughing. The group took notice of Kori's late arrival and called for her to join them. "Hey Kori." Dick smiled. "Hi Kori." Rachel greeted. "Where were you? You're the last to arrive!" Karen asked. "Hey Kori!" Jen welcomed. "Morning lil' lady!" Vic greeted. "Hey Kori!" Gar waved. "Good morning, Kori!" Wally welcomed. "My Knorfka and I had to run an errand before I came to school." She glanced at all of her friends and giggled. "Friends, why do you wear those hats of ridiculousness?" She asked. Everyone but Rachel wore ridiculous hats. Vic had on a large puppy dog hat that reached past his shoulders, Wally wore a large burger, Gar wore a robot head that had red eyes, Dick had a large football helmet, Jen wore a flower hat, and Karen wore bee antennas. "Well Kori, this is because of the long, respected tradition of the holy Game Week!" Wally explained. "What is this holy Game Week you speak of?" Kori asked, puzzled. "It's the celebration of the Friday Game. Each day we have a theme, and today is Crazy Hat Monday." Dick explained. Kori squealed with delight. "It sounds like a glorious holiday! But why are you not wearing the hats, friend?" Rachel rolled her eyes. "Because the hats are ridiculous and pointless." She stated. "They're supposed to be ridiculous, Rae! That's what makes them fun!" Gar explained happily. "That doesn't change my opinion on them. The week is supposed to be about the football game, not on hats." She retorted. Gar shrugged and sighed. "Anyway, the rest of the week up till Friday is going to be so awesome, dudes!" Victor grinned. "Yeah, man! There's no better week than Game Week!" Wally grinned and shot up from his seat, placing a hand on his heart. In his deepest voice, he sang very loudly. "IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!" Wally sang. The group snickered and laughed as he took a bow. "Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all week." Kori smiled widely. "From your excitement, Wally, I believe this is to be the most wonderful week!" Kori cheered. "You said it, Joy!" Wally agreed. "Joy?" Vic asked. Wally laughed and threw an arm around Kori's shoulder. "Because I haven't once seen her without a smile!" He explained. Kori giggled. "I believe that to be a compliment, yes?" She asked. Wally nodded. "Of course! To the world, you are Kori Anders. But to the Wallman, you are now Joy!" He cheered. "If that is what you wish, I do not mind such a nickname." Kori agreed happily.

When the bell rang, Kori accompanied Rachel to their classroom, passing through the hallways that were decorated with white and gold "T" streamers, with black and white confetti littering the floor. When first period started, even the lessons had brighten up. The teachers were still monotone, but the lesson themselves were brighter, which breathed life into the daily school work. By the time lunch rolled around, the whole day felt like attending the last day of school but without the excitement of an approaching summer. It was a relief that washed over every student and caused the mood to brighten all around.

When Kori had arrived to the cafeteria for lunch, Karen was waiting by the door. "Hey Kori! All of the girls are sitting together today. You want to join us?" She asked. Kori squealed with delight. "That would be most glorious friend!" She cheered. She followed Karen to the end of the table. While the boys sat next to them talking, the 4 girls sat together. Karen placed her hands on the table that got the attention of the other three girls. "Alright, ladies! Girl talk!" She stated as she sat in her seat. "Oh, joyous! Girl talk!" Kori cheered. "What do you want to talk about?" Jen asked. "Well, since the beginning of the school year, we haven't gone anywhere without the guys. So I'm proposing a much needed shopping trip!" Karen explained. "That's sounds wonderful, friend! We could also attend the spa of beauty after our shopping!" Kori squealed. "You just read my mind, Kori!" Jen agreed. The three girls glanced at Rachel, who sighed. "I guess. Wouldn't want to ruin the fun, right?" Rachel complied. "Then it's settle then. Sunday, it's going to be a girl's outing!" Karen concluded. "Alright…" Rachel sighed. "Agreed." Jen stated. "Such joyous news!" Kori cheered.

Wally slinked toward the group of girls and slid right besides Jen. "Soooo, what are you fine ladies talking about?" He asked alluringly. Jen rolled her eyes. "Are you here to spy on us or are you just here trying to seduce us with your manly charms?" She asked. He grinned and wiggled his eyebrows. "Only if you want me to, baby. These charms have worked many times before." He purred with a wink. "Oh, have they now? I bet the whole female population falls beneath your feet as you pass them." Karen stated sarcastically. Wally grinned and laid back in his seat. "Yep. Even Rachel drools when I pass by." He slid next to Rachel and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. When she heard his comment, Rachel narrowed her eyes and smacked his forehead. He yelped and fell to the floor. The girls busted into laughter as he jumped up and rubbed the back of his head. "I guess you're not a fan of the Wallman's charms." He grinned sheepishly. Rachel scoffed. "Where is this charm of yours, exactly?" She stated. Wally chuckled. "Why it's in these handsomely good looks and witty humor!" Wally explained. The guys, who had been listening to the entire conversation, busted into laughter. Wally grinned and strutted his way back to the guys, leaving the whole group clutching their sides from laughter.

The rest of the day passed speedily for Kori as she reveled in the new joyous mood of the school. She skipped down the halls until she reached the doorway of her Art period, where Dick awaited patiently for her. He smiled as she approached. "Hey Kori." He greeted. "Hello friend! It is wonderful to see you this afternoon!" She beamed. He escorted her through the door as they took their seats in the back of the classroom. When the teacher began her daily lesson, Dick leaned over to Kori's desk. "Hey, are you going to the game on Friday?" He whispered to her. She smiled. "Of course friend! I would love to watch you play the game of football!" She whispered back. "Well, since I usually take you home, do you want to stay after school with Vic and me? We usually stay and practice before the game." He asked quietly. She smiled brightly. "I would love too! Will the other friends be there as well?" She cheered quietly. Dick smiled. "Karen will be there. Maybe the others if they want to come. Is that alright?" He asked. "Of course, friend!" Kori stated.

After the daily lesson and activities, the teacher allowed the students to interact with each other for the remainder of the period. Dick and Kori moved their desks together and continued to talk about football. "So, correct me if I am mistaken, you compete against another team in a 4 quarter match where the goal is to either score a touchdown or kick a field goal to gain the most amount of points. Is that right?" She asked. "Yeah, you're correct! But it's harder than it looks. There's other rules like fouls and yards to consider, as well as remembering the different plays." Dick explained. Kori sighed. "It sounds complex. I believe I am only starting to understand the basics of this game." She giggled. "I believe you are passionate about this sport, yes?" She asked. Dick chuckled and nodded. "Yeah, I guess. I've always liked it, ever since I was a kid." He sighed. "I'm really good at it. However, I don't think I want to continue playing football for the rest of life." Kori's expression changed to one of confusion. "If not the sport, then what do you wish to pursue in the future, friend?" She asked. Dick smiled. "I want to pursue a career in law enforcement. Maybe become a detective one day." She smiled brightly. "That is a very honorable goal, friend. If I may, I believe you would become a wonderful officer of the law!" She proclaimed. Dick smiled. "Thanks, Kori."

After the bell rang, Dick escorted Kori down the halls and toward the group's meeting spot. Along the way, Kori spotted a large poster stretching across the wall. It pictured Victor and Dick holding up the National Championship Trophy. Under the picture, text was depicted, stating in all capital letters: "CHEER ON YOUR JUMP CITY TITANS FOR ANOTHER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!" Kori studied the poster and turned to Dick. "It appears you and friend Vic are quite popular." She stated. Dick chuckled and nodded. "Ever since the National Championships, everyone started crediting Vic and I for the win." Dick explained. She nodded and smiled brightly. "Well, I hope this year you achieve victory once more! It would be most glorious if you succeeded in another National Championship!" She cheered.

Kori waved goodbye to Dick as he drove away. With a smoothie in hand, she entered her home to see her Knorfka leaving his office. He smiled brightly when he noticed her entrance. "Good afternoon, Star! How was your day?" He asked. "It was wonderful! I have just learned about the glorious Game Week that the whole school participates in to honor the coming football game on Friday. It is such a wonderful week!" She explained joyfully. Galfore smiled and nodded. "Such wonderful news to hear, Star!" He cheered. "If I may, I plan to stay after school with my friends to watch the Friday game. Is that alright?" She asked. Galfore studied her words and nodded. "I am glad you asked. Yes, it is alright. However, I ask for you not to stay out all night. Be back here by 12." He complied graciously. Kori squealed with delight and crushed her Knorfka into a hug. "Thank you, Knorfka!" He kissed the top of her head and smiled. "You're very welcome, Star."

Days past and the much anticipated Friday came. The building excitement could officially be released on the final exciting climax to the wonderful Game Week. With each day, a new theme had be established. Neon Tuesday, Formal Wednesday, and Knot Thursday had all passed. Now, it was School Spirit Friday.

Before she left school on Thursday, Karen and Jen both accompanied Kori to one of the many booths set up for the very day. Karen bought Victor's jersey and wore the number 34 proudly, Jen bought a white hoodie with the mascot and words "Go Titans!", and Kori bought a silver, long sleeve shirt with the words "Jump City Titans, National Champions!" sketched in black. So today, Kori wore her shirt as she arrived to school at her usual time. Rachel had been waiting for her and Kori noticed she was wearing a black hoodie with the letter "T" sketched in gold. She waved to her as she approached. "Hello friend! It is finally Friday!" Kori cheered. Rachel smiled. "Yeah. Are you going to the game tonight?" She asked. Kori nodded. "Of course! Will you be attending as well, friend?" She asked. "Yeah I will. The others will probably be there as well, and we usually sit up here. It will be crowded, so I can save you a seat since I get here early." Kori beamed. "Do not worry about that, friend! I will be staying with friends Vic, Karen, and Dick after school today." She explained. Rachel raised an eyebrow. "Really? Did Dick ask you to stay?" Kori nodded. "Yes, friend. He asked me on Monday." Rachel studied her words and nodded. "If you're staying after…I guess I could stay as well." She said. Kori squealed with delight and crushed Rachel into a large hug. "Glorious! We shall enjoy the football practice together then!"

After school ended, Dick and Kori walked to the meeting spot, where the others awaited them. "Are you ready for the game, Dick?" Vic asked. "Definitely! We're going to kick some ass!" Dick cheered. "Besides friend Rachel and myself, will the rest of you be attending the glorious game?" Kori asked. "Of course! I wouldn't think of missing Sparky's first game!" Karen said. "I'm going!" Gar cheered. "Me too!" Jen added. Wally grinned and wrapped an arm around Dick's shoulder. "I wouldn't miss out on the opportunity for the famous Dick Grayson to cause hundreds of fan girls to drool with one look!" Wally joked. Dick rolled his eyes. "That won't happen." Dick stated. Wally chuckled. "Hey, you never know Dick! Maybe you should take your shirt off? That will definitely cause some arousal!" Wally laughed. "Oh man! I can picture it right now! The famous Dick Grayson causing all the girls at Jump City High to simultaneously faint!" Gar laughed. Gar and Wally keeled over with laughter as Dick sigh and turn to Vic. "It's almost 3:40. We should get to practice." Dick stated. Vic nodded and turned his attention to Rachel, Kori, Karen, and Dick. "We should get going. Follow Dick and I to stadium." He said. "Lead the way, Sparky!" Karen stated as she took his hand. The others wished Dick and Vic good luck as Rachel, Kori, and Karen followed them to the stadium.

The stadium had been officially renamed to "Titan Stadium" after the National Championship. It underwent renovation that took the whole summer to turn the worn out building into a state-of-the-art facility that had brand new bleachers and newly painted scoreboards. The front had new pillars that extended far above the roof that held up the new sign, stating. "Welcome To Jump City! Home of The Titans!"

"Man, she looks beautiful after all of the new renovations!" Vic commentated. "The school did an awesome job at restoring this old beauty." Dick gaped. Kori stood in awe of the remarkable sight as Rachel gently pulled her along as the small group reached the ticket booths that were set outside the massive structure. Several students were already lined up to pay for their entrance into the magnificent stadium. When they reached the front, Dick graciously paid for the tickets and the small group made their way through the grand doors and onto the bleachers. Several hundred bleachers were added to accommodate for the thousands of people that arrived to the games. In fact, Jump City High had only 4,000 students, but the stadium could hold up to 6,000.

Even though school had just been let out, dozens of students milled around the bleachers and field. The Jump City Marching Band was setting up in the bleachers and practicing their music. Cheerleaders, including Kitten, stretched and practiced their routines with the Titan mascot. As Dick and Victor led the girls to a spot on the bleachers, the other football players were getting ready for practice, some already in the bleachers talking to friends while some were stretching in the field. A few jocks had girls surrounding them, causing the girls to ooh and aah over every flash of their muscles. "Are you girls excited for the game?" Vic asked as they took their seats. "Indeed friend! I cannot wait!" Kori beamed. "You two should be more excited than us. We're just watching the game." Rachel stated. "True. I am pretty pumped up!" Dick said. "Depending on the person. I know a lot of people who are more excited than all of us for just one reason." Vic grinned. Dick sighed. "I don't like it, but it is kind of true." Karen chuckled. "Kind of? More like a definite fact." Vic smiled and slapped his best friend on the back. "Don't worry about the girls! Just focus on the game!" Dick nodded. "Your right. Alright it's-"Dick was interrupted by the soft buzzing of his phone. When he examined the caller ID, he sighed. "Excuse me, guys." He stated politely before taking the call. He walked over to a more quite part of the bleachers to talk while the others watched curiously from afar. "I wonder who that is." Vic stated. "It's probably Alfred. Maybe Bruce." Rachel explained. "Who is Alfred and Bruce, friends?" Kori asked. "Alfred is Dick's butler and Bruce is Dick's adopted father." Karen explained. When he hung up, Dick walked quietly back to the group and plopped back in his spot next to Kori. "Who was that?" Vic asked. "It was Alfred. He's coming to the game." Dick explained. Vic grinned widely. "Really? What about Bruce?" Dick shook his head. "He's got a meeting tonight, but Alfred is going to record the game for him." Kori smiled brightly. "Wonderful, friend! Perhaps I will meet this Alfred tonight then?" Kori smiled brightly. "We'll probably see him tonight. He usually sits near the rest of us." Karen explained. Kori squealed with delight. "Glorious! It is going to be such a wonderful night!" Kori cheered. The piercing cry of a whistle brought the attention of the group as the head coach walked to the center of the field. "Alright Titans! Line up in the field!" The coach screamed through his mega horn. "Well, I guess this is goodbye for now. See you lovely ladies later!" Karen kissed her boyfriend on the cheek and let him run off to join his teammates on the field. "See you later, girls." Dick smiled and raced to join the others. "Good luck friends!" Kori yelled down to them. "Good luck guys." Rachel yelled. "Have fun, Dick! Good luck, Sparky! Karen cheered.

As the players practiced, the stadium gradually filled with the anticipated students and proud parents buying their tickets and settling down into their seats. Soon, almost a 4th of the bleachers were taken, and the game wouldn't start for another hour. As the time ticked away, the girls talked about Sunday. While they chatted, a familiar face found them amongst the array of bleachers. "Hello, ladies!" Roy called to them. "Hey Roy!" Karen greeted. "Hey." Rachel said. "Hello friend! It is joyous to see you! Have you seen any of the other friend when you arrived?" Kori asked. "No, I haven't. The only people I've seen are you three." Roy explained. "Is Garth coming?" Karen asked. "No, fish boy's got a swimming practice tonight." The thundering of feet and loud cheering was heard from the bottom of the bleachers as Wally raced up the stairs. "What's up everybody? The Wallman has arrived!" He exclaimed. "What's up West?" Roy stated as he gave him a high five. "Hey Wally." Karen greeted. "Welcome friend!" Kori welcomed. "Hi Wally." Rachel stated. "So, how's it been? Have any girls dropped dead for Dick yet?" He asked. Karen rolled her eyes and chuckled. "No, not that we've seen." Just as she says this, a group of girls run screaming through the front gates, through the hollow concrete hallways and into the bleachers, shrieking as they hold up signs saying "WE LOVE YOU, DICK GRAYSON!" and "MARRY ME, DICK!" Dick looks up and shrugs off the attention, only giving the girls a slight nod as he returns to practice. Wally chuckles as the girls settle down but continue to hold up the signs. "Hah! Well here are the first of many!"

After a few minutes, Wally jumps up and points to the corner of the stadium where a small figures approaches. "Look! There's Jenny!" Wally yells. "Oh, did you miss your girlfriend, West?" Roy jests. The others snicker and laugh as Wally's face turns beet red. "W-what?! Jen and I are just friends! What are you talking about?!" He stutters. Roy laughs as he slaps Wally's back. "Don't play dumb with me. It's obvious you like her." Wally slumps in his seat as Roy busts into laughter. He crosses his arms and shakes his head. "Is it really that obvious?" Wally thought. Jen strides up the bleachers and takes a seat next to the other girls. "Hi everybody!" She states happily. The others greet her while Wally only smiles and ducks his head to keep from turning red again.

Gar walks through the parking lot to the front gates of the new stadium. He looks up and studies the new building, finding it much more fitting then the last stadium the school used to have. As he pays for his ticket, he enters the front gate and starts to make his way through the concrete hallways and up to the bleachers. When he nears the first entrance to the bleachers, he sees Xavier and his friends standing around, blocking anyone from going through them. Gar decides in favor of going around to avoid them. Ever since he moved to Jump from Africa, he had been teased and tormented. When he made friends with Dick and Victor, most of the past bullies stopped teasing him. But Xavier and his friends were more persistent than the rest. As he went the longer route around the stadium, Xavier picked him out of the crowd and called to him. "Hey Logan! Are you too much of a coward to come through this entrance?" His snickered as they approached him. Gar stood calmly as his tormenters surrounded him. If he was afraid of them, he didn't show it. Xavier curled his lip into a grin and approach Gar until he stood only a few feet from him. "So, how has my favorite loser been doing?" He asked menacingly. Gar said nothing, only staring emptily at his feet. "What, giving me the silent treatment?" Xavier grinned. When Gar refused to acknowledge him, he narrowed his eyes. "If you're not going to talk, at least look me in the eye when you do it." He growled as picked up Gar by the collar of his shirt. When Gar finally looked up, Xavier punched him in the gut. Gar slumped to the ground as Xavier smiled and raised his foot to kick him in the chest, when a voice was heard in the distance. "Hey, leave him alone!" Xavier looked up and scowled when he saw the figure approach. Gar didn't look up in fear of being hit again, but he recognized to voice to be a girl's. "So, there another new girl I haven't seen before. What's your name?" Xavier asked. "It's none of your damn business. How about you leave him alone!" She yelled. Xavier, taken back by the girl's response, shrugged his shoulders. "Whatever." He looked down and grinned. "See you later, Logan." He walked away, his friends following after him. When Xavier and his friends were out of earshot, the girl rushed over and helped Gar to his feet. "Are you alright? I saw you get hit by that guy." She asked. Gar nodded and when he looked up, his heart immediately stopped. She had long, blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She wore a green sweater with a white skirt. "She's beautiful…" He thought. He shook away his awe and responded. "Thanks." Was all he could force out of his mouth. She smiled "No problem! I couldn't just sit by while you were in trouble." She stood back and nodded. "Well, if you're okay, I should get going." She stated as she disappeared into the bleachers. Gar was left speechless. "Who was that?" He asked himself. He had never seen her before. He mentally scolded himself for not asking her name. "Maybe I will see her again." He thought. He sighed. She's gone now, there's nothing he can do unless he goes after her. He shrug his shoulders and walked through the entrance. Whoever she was, he would probably see her again. He just didn't know when.

Alfred parked the red 1957 Cadillac that Bruce gave to him years ago in the parking lot of the newly built stadium. He reached back behind his seat and pulled into his lap a small camera that he would use to record Dick's football game for Bruce. Alfred recalled the conversation he had with Bruce, a few hours earlier.

Alfred had been called to his office. Bruce sat in his large, leather chair working on a stack of papers that laid sprawled out on his desk. "What do you need, Master Bruce?" Alfred ask politely. "Alfred, are you attending Dick's football game later? It's his first game of the season." Bruce stated. "Of course, sir. Are you to be attending this event as well?" He asked. Bruce shook his head and sighed. "I would if I didn't have this much work. Plus I have a meeting at 5." Bruce looked down at his watch and groaned. "Which I might miss if I don't hurry." Alfred held the door open for Bruce as he slipped on his jacket. "Please record the game for me. I would like to watch it later." Bruce stated, cursing himself as he fumbled with his tie. Alfred smiled and approached Bruce, fixing the tie. "I still remember when you fumbled with your tie as a child." Bruce smiled and patted Alfred's shoulders. "That's something I might never grow out of. I will see you soon." Bruce said as he grabbed his keys and drove out of the garage in his black Porsche.

Alfred now examined the components of the camera, making sure everything worked. When he was satisfied, he took the camera and walked to the ticket booths. He bought his ticket and slowly strolled through the concrete hallways. He was impressed with the amount of work put into the stadium, especially in the architecture. He was glad that the money Bruce gave to the school did not go to waste. He approached a seat on the bleachers and took a seat, but then heard the pounding of footsteps toward his. He saw a teenage boy run toward him, calling his name. "Hey Alfred! How's my favorite butler doing these days?" Wally asked. "It is good to see you Mr. West. I have been doing well. How is your uncle?" Alfred asked politely. "Uncle Barry is his usual self. His business is doing great with so many people moving to Jump. But everything is pretty good for the guy." Wally explained. Barry Allen, Wally's uncle, owned a couple apartment complexes and ran a real-estate business. Barry and Bruce were business partners back in Gotham, and had been good friends for years. "I am happy to hear such good news. What about you, Mr. West? How have you been fairing this past month?" Alfred asked. "I'm doing great! I've got a competition next week and I've got some new friends this year! Everything's perfect for the ol' Wallman!" Wally explained as he plopped down next to the old butler. "Your humor never ceases to surprise me, Mr. West." Alfred chuckled. "Speaking of new friends, Master Dick mentioned such things the other day. Is there someone new that has joined your normal group of friends?" Alfred asked curiously. Alfred remembered Dick talking about a girl the first few days. He mentioned her every so often, even that he took her out after school every day to get smoothies. "Oh yeah! You haven't met Joy yet!" Wally stated as he jumped up. "Follow me, Alfred! You can some sit with the rest of us!" Wally added as he pointed to where his friends sat and raced toward them. Alfred chuckled. "That boy is just like his uncle." He thought. He followed slowly after Wally and approached the small group of friends, who welcomed him with open arms. "Hi Alfred." Ms. Roth stated. "Hey Alfred!" Ms. Hex greeted. "Welcome Alfred. It's good to see you!" Mr. Harper welcomed. "Hi Alfred! How's it going?" Ms. Beecher greeted. "How's it been, Alfred?" Mr. Logan welcomed with his toothy grin. "It is good to see you all. I am doing well." There was one person who he did not recognize. She sat quietly while the others welcomed Alfred. She watched curiously as they interacted with him. "Hey Alfred, I would like for you to meet Kori Anders. Kori this is Alfred." Wally introduced. Alfred extended his hand out to Kori. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Anders." She took his hand and shook it, smiling. "It is glorious to meet you, Alfred!" Alfred smiled. "So, you are new to Jump City, yes?" Alfred asked. Kori nodded and smiled brightly. "Yes I am! I am from Tamaran, an island in the Caribbean." Alfred grinned. "I have heard of this island. Bruce used to have business relations in Tamaran." Alfred explained. "I remember my father talking about the western countries finding business in Tamaran. Before…" She trailed off. "Yes. Before." Alfred nodded solemnly, both him and Kori understanding the situation in Tamaran. The others switched glances between the two and exchanged puzzled glances. "Umm, what does "before" mean?" Karen asked. Kori bowed her head in despair as she explained. "Before the war. The other islands declared war on Tamaran about 5 years ago. Most business and tourism has been halted since." She explained. The others stared in stunned silence as Kori recalled the memory of Tamaran. When she had left, her home was left in a state of chaos. Empty streets held looting and riots, while the government tried to cope with the loss of its royal family. It literally became hell on earth. As Kori Alfred sighed. "I apologize for bringing up your past, Ms. Anders. That was not my intention." He apologized. Kori looked up and smiled softly. "You did not know. It is not your fault." She says quietly. Kori's phone springs to life as it buzzes softly in her pocket. She looks down to see its Galfore calling. "Apologize friends, it's my Knorfka." She takes the call and walks to a quite side of the bleachers, just out of earshot of the others. "Alfred, do you know about Kori's past?" Wally asked. Alfred shook his head. "I know of the current situation in Tamaran. But I know little of your friend. However, it is not my position to inform you of it, even if I did know. Sadly, that decision is up to your friend. Whether she tells you or not, that is up to her." Alfred explained. "Should we ask her about it?" Rachel asked. "Honestly, it depends if Ms. Anders is ready to tell you. Has she told any of you what had happened before she came here?" Alfred asked. "She hasn't told me." Rachel stated. "Me neither." Karen said. "Maybe she told Dick? She hangs out with him more than the rest of us." Jen suggested. Suddenly, the sound of a loud horn was sounded, telling the audience that the game was about to begin. When Kori heard it, she began walking back. She spoke in Tamaranian as she said goodbye to Galfore and hung up. "Friends, what does that horn mean?" She yelled, the crowd beginning to roar and cheer. "It means the game is about to begin!" Wally jumped up and began cheering. An announcer's voice rang throughout the stadium. "Welcome to Titan Stadium! Home of the National Champions, the Jump City Titans!" His voice boomed. The crowd roared for their home team. "Now, let us welcome our champions! Leading the team tonight is our one and only, Dick Grayson!" Thousands of girls screamed passionately as Dick lead the team onto the field, his other teammates trailing behind him. "Here they are, your Jump City Titan!" The announcer cheered. "Now, let this game begin!"

The game started with the flip of the coin, favoring Jump City and starting off with the other team kicking off. Within the first play, Dick was able to throw to Victor, who was able to run it all the way to the infield, scoring the first touchdown. "TOUCHDOWN, TITANS!" The announcer yelled. The audience accentuated their happiness with roars of cheers and the occasional screams from teenager girls. Victor was praised with a high-five from Dick as the offensive line celebrated their first victory against their opponents.

After their first touchdown, the game eased into a steady rhythm of touchdowns. The Titans scored the extra point with a field kick and two more touchdowns through the teamwork of Dick and Victor. By the end of first half, the score was 21 to 0, the Titans leading. When the halftime whistle was blown, the players ran into their designated locker rooms and cooled off. During halftime, the audience moved into the concrete hallways and lined the concession stands or bathrooms. After 15 minutes, halftime ended with the booming voice of the announcer informing everyone that the game was about to begin. The audience resettled into their seats and began cheering when the Titans ran back onto the field. Then, the game picked up where it last stopped. Through the 3rd quarter, the opposing team scored a touchdown but missed the field goal. The Titans stopped them from gaining anymore points until they reached the 4th quarter, when the Titans scored another touchdown. When the clock struck zero, the final whistle was blown and the crowd cheered. "THE FIANL SCORE IS 28 TO 6. THE TITANS TAKE HOME THEIR FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON!" The announcer states. "Join us 2 weeks from now, where the Titans take on their second game of the season! Congratulations, Titans!" The announcer wished everyone farewell and then became silent for the rest of the night. As the players ran off the field and into the locker rooms, Wally stood up and stretched his back. "Well, there's another win for Jump!" He looked down at his phone and grinned. "So, anyone want to go out for pizza?" Wally asked. "I'm in!" Gar immediately answered. "Sparky will probably want to celebrate. Pizza works for me." Karen stated. "Sounds fun, Wally!" Jen agreed. "Pizza sounds wonderful friends! I shall also be participating!" Kori answered happily. "I'm down for some good pizza. Where are we going?" Roy asked. Wally grinned. "Only to the finest pizza joint in town, archer boy! The Pizza Corner!" Wally explained Roy nodded approvingly and grinned. "They have some pretty good pizza. Their all meat pizzas are the best!" Gar looked at Rachel and smiled. "What about you, Rae? You want to join us for pizza?" He asked politely. Kori's face brightened. "Oh, that would be most wonderful friend! Please do join us!" She insisted. Rachel looked at her phone and sighed. "Okay….I'll go." She complied. "Glorious!" Kori cheered. "Great!" Gar cheered.

The group plus Alfred made their way out of the stadium and into the parking lot, where Victor and Dick were waiting for them. Karen ran up to Victor and gave him a big kiss on his cheek. "Congrats, Sparky!" She cheered. "You guys were awesome!" Wally pumped his fists in the air. Dick turned to see Alfred walking behind the others, fumbling with his camera. "Hey Alfred." Dick smiled. "Hello Master Dick! Wonderful job tonight! I recorded the entire game for Master Bruce to watch later." Dick nodded then turned to his friends and smiled. "So, what are we going to do now?" He asked. "Wally suggested we go out for pizza at The Pizza Corner." Roy explained. Dick grinned. "Sounds fun. Alright, let's go celebrate!" Dick concurred. While the others cheered and made their way to their cars, Alfred pulled Dick off to the side. "I met the young lady you were talking about." He explained. Dick raised his eyebrow, then sudden realization gripped at his chest. "Oh, you mean Kori." He stated. Alfred nodded and pointed to Kori, who was talking with Rachel and Karen. "She is very polite and courteous. She seems like a nice girl." He smiled and patted Dick's shoulder. "I can see why you choose to spend time with her. It seems you can't help but smile when you're around her." He stated. "Is she special to you?" Alfred asked. Dick turned back to Kori and delved into his thoughts. He had been thinking lately what he really felt about her. He tried to identify what it was, but Dick never felt this way. Not with anyone but her. And she broke his heart. Dick wasn't even sure if he wanted to feel this way again. Yet, he continued to watch Kori from a distance. The way she smiled, the way she laughed, the way she talked. "She's amazing." He thought. Dick couldn't ignore the feelings he felt for her, but he wasn't sure if she was what Alfred asked. Special. Dick turned to Alfred and shrugged his shoulders slightly. "I don't know yet, Alfred… I just don't know." He explained. Alfred nodded and smiled. "No one knows right away if someone is special to them. I understand your hesitation. But I do ask that you think about that question more often." He stated. Dick and Alfred reached Kori and Alfred extended his hand. "It was wonderful to meet you, Ms. Anders." Alfred said. Kori took it and smiled. "It was wonderful to meet you as well, Alfred!" She shook his hand and he smiled as he turned to Dick. "I will inform Master Bruce of your current endeavor. Enjoy yourself, Master Dick." He wished him farewell and walked back to his car and drove away in the red Cadillac. Dick and Kori watched him drove away as they turned to each other and smiled. "We should catch up with our friends, yes?" She suggested. Dick nodded and followed her to his car, where he drove to meet the others at The Pizza Corner.

Dick pulled up to Kori's house and parked right outside. The light was left on, even though it was midnight. Dick held open her door as she got out and smiled. "Thank you, friend, for tonight. I am unsure if I was able to properly thank you." She said. Despite everyone's resistance, Dick bought everyone pizza. After dinner, everyone went their separate ways and Dick drove Kori home. "Sorry for getting you home this late." Dick apologized. Kori shook her head and smiled. "Do not worry, I already told my Knorfka about the game a few days ago. He allowed me to stay out later." She explained as Dick walked her up to her front door. "Well, it's pretty late. I should get going. See you later, Kori." He sighed as he walked down the steps of the path up to her front door. Before he got very far, Kori stopped him and crushed him in a hug. "Congratulations on your first victory of the football season. Goodnight, friend." She whispered. Dick shook away his initial shock and hugged her back, burning this moment into his head. He broke away and smiled. "Goodnight, Kori." He whispered and walked back to his car and watched as Kori waved goodbye and entered her house. When she was inside, Dick drove away, replaying the memory over and over again. He recalled the conversation with Alfred after the game, asking him if Kori was special to him. Dick didn't know at the time what Kori was. But even though that conversation happened just hours ago, that moment when Kori hugged him, it revealed something inside him. No matter what he thought, it didn't matter. Whether he wanted to or not, he was falling. He's falling for Kori Anders.
