GODS

.

.

"So we have…" Hanji mumbled. "Wait, are you serious with this list, Levi?"

.

"Are you doubting me?" Levi asked back with a furrowed brow.

.

"Err… well, this list seems to be a little too unique than from what I have imagined." Hanji reasoned, scratching her head while jotting down some names. "I've never thought such gods could exist."

.

"Let me see…" Petra borrowed the list and read lines after lines. "God of supermarkets, convenience store clerks, noodles, farms… this list seemed too… unique to be good."

.

Irritated, Levi bellowed "If you don't want to believe, then let's just stop this."

.

"Wah! Sorry, Levi!" Petra quickly apologized. "I didn't mean to make it sound like that…"

.

"Well, Levi knows more than any of us, so we have no choice but to rely on information coming from him," Erwin said and borrowed the paper from Petra. He read the list and asked, "Is there anyway to contact them? Of course, we need to see them too so we could ask questions."

.

"You don't trust me, do you?" Levi suddenly asked, glaring at Erwin.

.

Erwin chuckled and replied, "Seeing how grumpy you can get, you might just end up scaring your fellow gods. Ah, no offense intended of course."

.

For some reason, Levi just couldn't stand Erwin and yet he can't do anything to fight back.

.

Levi sighed. "There is a way but contacting them needs a lot of effort and energy."

.

"It is expected to be that way," Erwin responded with a wider grin. "Just tell us what must be done."

.

"I can only contact two gods in daytime, and another two in night time," Levi warned. "Offerings in form of food and wine are good enough to bribe them for an audience, but sometimes they may ask for more if we want some information of them."

.

"I think we have enough wine and food," Petra volunteered with a smile. "We rarely consume wine, and we almost have more than enough food."

.

"Good," Erwin praised.

.

"Just so you know," Levi interrupted. "I can't summon them, so we can just talk to them through a clear water pond. Gods prefer natural places to have an audience."

.

"You have a pond at the backyard, don't you Petra?" Hanji asked.

.

"Yup, we do. It has few goldfisheds though." Petra said.

.

"That's fair enough," Levi approved.

.

"Then everything we need is in Petra's home. Sweet!" Hanji said, brimming with thrill and excitement. She was beginning to get hyped much to Moblit's anxiety.

.

"calm down, senior…" Moblit worryingly mumbled.

.

"Well then, I shall prepare everything," Petra volunteered.

.

"Good. Moblit, help Petra with the preparations." Erwin asked and Moblit followed Petra inside. "Hanji, you know where the pond is right? Let's go there."

.

"Aye aye!" Hanji saluted and happily lead Erwin and Levi to the location.

.

.

"What do you think, Levi?" Erwin asked, staring at his reflection on the pond. The little goldfishes were creating small ripples as they swim around.

.

"Big enough," Levi replied, sitting on a rock.

.

"How long can we talk with the gods?" Erwin followed.

.

"Just a few minutes. It takes quite an amount of energy," Levi swiftly responded as he watched his image on the pond ripple.

.

"Then we should ask the most important questions first…" Erwin mumbled as he fell into his thoughts.

.

"Sorry we took a bit long," Petra said as she and Moblit were approaching Erwin and the others. Moblit had two wine bottles in his arms while Petra had a tray of sweets and fruits in her hands.

.

Upon reaching the pond, they placed down the offerings neatly on the ground.

.

"Since the offerings are finally here, what's the next step?" Hanji asked and all eyes were on Levi.

.

"… I have to pray to them. Stand back and don't make a single noise," Levi commanded. He stood up, went in front of the offerings next to the pond, and sat down. Petra and the rest stood back as Levi commanded them.

.

"I wonder which of the gods will Levi call, I can't wait!" Hanji said though she was meant to whisper but couldn't control the level of her voice.

.

"Senior, your voice…" Moblit warned trying to calm the excited senior.

.

The wind was blowing gently as they silently watch Levi pray intently. It had been some few minutes since Levi started, and there was no hint of any changes to the pond until all of the fish vacated the center and stayed at the sides. Then big ripples appeared; images were slowly showing which amazed Hanji and Petra.

.

"They're here," Levi said, slowly standing up.

.

A few moments later, the images on pond became clearer – they were two men, one of black hair and the other was blonde.

.

"Who are they? Who are they?" Hanji asked.

.

"Ssh!" Levi quickly silenced the impatient woman.

.

"Ooooh~" said the black-haired male image. "Look who called us-"

.

"Levi? Is that you? Whaaaa~ you've become shorter," the blonde interrupted and his comment made Hanji laugh so hard.

.

"He called Levi short! Bwahahaha! Priceless! Genius!" Hanji screamed, almost crying from laughing hard.

.

"Senior~!" Moblit whined.

.

"Ha-Hanji!" Petra anxiously whined along with Moblit. She could sense anger oozing from Levi. "Ssh! Quiet!"

.

"Oh? Are those humans with you? Hello! Can you see us?" the black-haired and blonde waved.

.

"Levi," Erwin called.

.

"I know," Levi quickly. "This is Gunther (black-haired), God of Leaders, and this is Erd, God of Relationships." He introduced then turned back to his fellow gods. "We don't have much time. So this person here (he points at Erwin who went closer to the pond) will ask a few questions. Don't screw around."

.

"Roger!" Gunther and Erd replied in chorus.

.

"Good day, I'm Erwin Smith," Erwin politely introduced. "I'll be straight to the point. Levi had an accident a few days back and he should be getting back to his original figure after his injuries have healed but for some unknown reason he didn't. We speculated he may have been cursed and we brainstormed only a fellow god could do so."

.

"In short, we're asking you if someone from our colleagues were acting strange strange a few days ago," Levi followed.

.

Gunther and Erd exchanged glances.

.

"You see, you very well know some don't really like you," Erd started. "But if someone from us really did place a curse on you, there is only one we have in mind."

.

"The atmosphere is so serious, yikes…" Hanji whispered.

.

"Who is it?" Levi asked in all seriousness.

.

"…" the two gods called went silent for a while.

.

"The God of gossipmongers," Gunther answered. "Auruo."

.

Note: I'm sorry for being lame. But just so you know guys I don't really know anything about calling gods upon and the whatnot, just invented lots of stuff. I'm sorry!
