(12:32 P.M. At the Son Residence)

"Momma~, were back!" Kotone followed by an exhausted Bluestar, Swiftfang, and Absol entered the house, while Gengar and Seviper went through the back of the house towards the shed housing the other Pokémon.

"I'm out on the porch!" Haruka's voice replied from the back of the house. When Kotone and the others reached her mother, they saw her looking through a photo album Cherry-blossom and Aurora were with their trainer relaxing in the calm morning, while their trainer was looking at the photos.

Haruka glanced up from the photos when her daughter sat in the seat next to her on the bench.

"What are you looking at mom?" Kotone looked at the photos her mother was looking at and saw a picture of a young girl, who had a wide grin and was holding a contest ribbon in her left hand the ribbon was the same one attached to Kotone's necklace, she had a Skitty and an Eevee at her side all three had an air of accomplishment around them.

"That was at the first contest you won, huh momma." Kotone looked towards her mother for confirmation on her statement, Haruka looked towards her daughter with a smile gracing her face.

"Yes it was, I was still traveling on my own then. I started traveling with your dad when we met again in Fortree City."

Her mom moves to a picture of a young boy, who looks like he could be Kotone's brother. He had the same hair color but his eyes were a lighter blue. He had long hair that reaches his shoulders and was wearing a black knit cap with lime green button accessory on the right, he wore a black zipped shirt combo, along with grey camo pants and black sneakers adorned his feet, he also had a black two-tone bag strapped to his shoulder. He had a large grin on his face while holding a gym badge in his left arm and behind him was a Serperior and to his right was an Absol.

As Kotone looked at the photo her mom looked at the photo with a reminiscent look in her eyes. Kotone noticed the look in her moms eyes and waited for her to speak not wanting to upset her, because she knew even now her mom still missed her dad and all the fond memories the two shared together brought up these feelings she kept looked away to be strong for her daughter.

"You know we never did get along from the start." Kotone waited for her mom to continue while looking at the photo of her dad.

"When we first met it was in Mauville City, when we met we literally bumped into one another we were in a rush to get to the Pokémon center we didn't see the other coming. We had said our apologies but when we made it to the Pokémon center we started to talk and then we talked about gyms and contests we had immediately disagreed with each other."

Kotone, Cherry-blossom, and Aurora all were paying rap attention to the story, while Haruka had a far away gaze in her eyes as she continued her story.

"We so strongly disagreed that we couldn't talk to one another without throwing snarky remarks at one another... It seems so childish now that I'm older but we were young and prideful that we didn't want to be told that either gyms or contest were better than the other. He said that 'Contests were for girly girls and their prissy Pokémon and that gyms were for the strongest trainers only.', I had retaliated by saying 'Then why are you doing gym battles if it's for the strongest trainers, shouldn't you be in contests then.' That was what ended our conversation because after that we left for our rooms, still fuming from our discussion."

Haruka and Kotone looked up from the photo album when they saw Blurestar playing tag with the older Pokémon, though with his short stature he was always tagged by the larger Pokémon, and Swiftfang since she was able to move at a quicker pace and was more nimble than him. But that didn't falter the young Pokémon in the least he tried to waddle faster but only managed to trip over his own feet and fall face first. Serperior saw this and stopped slithering to turn back and pluck the penguin Pokémon up and place him on his feet, at first Bluestar was shocked by the elders actions but then gave his thanks and continued playing the game with the others.

This brought a smile to the four watching from the porch, as they remembered the Serperior doing the same to Kotone when she was younger, she had played with the Pokémon letting her mother rest from a long day, when she'd tripped and seemed ready to cry, but before her mom could get up Serperior had reached her, picked her up and proceeded to try to cheer the young girl up, as this happened Haruka continued with her tail.

"But when traveling he stumbled upon a video feed on my third contest win and it gave him a better view on contests and not what he'd imagined it was, and I went to see his gym battle in Fortree City. I was still mad from our conversation but I wanted to see for myself what was so great about gyms, and when I heard the gym leader was going to battle a challenger I went to see it. What I didn't know was that he was the challenger at first I was going to leave but when I stayed a bit I started to enjoy the battle more and more... I'm glad I stayed to watch the battle because after we patched things up we were thick as thieves."

At the end the four on the porch all had smiles on their faces, Kotone stared to where the Pokémon where and thought of how she loved moments like this, when everyone was happy and content, and everything seemed brighter.

"So when were you going to tell me about the new Pokémon you brought with you?"

Haruka turned towards her daughter with a raised eyebrow,knowing that if the subject wasn't brought up her daughter would just forget about it completely. immediately color rushed towards Kotone's cheek in embarrassment as she remembered that she hadn't told her mom about her tiring morning.

"Oh... Well you see me and Bluestar had gone into the forest and we planed to try to capture some new team members when we went deep in to the forest... ehe."

Haruka paid rapt attention to her daughters story with fond eyes, she had been worried that her daughter wasn't ready to leave home like most parent, but seeing how her daughter was talking in excitement about her day, she knew even if it would he hard parting with her daughter she couldn't bear to take away the happiness of her daughter. She could only hope that the people and Pokémon she befriends on her journey will keep her daughter safe during her time away from home, just like how it was during her journey.

(2:56 P.M. Son Residence)

"So are you going to head over to Prof. Rowan's Lab before you leave?"

Haruka looked towards her daughter, from the dinning room watching as Kotone was seeing to the Starly's wounds who was now named Ravenwing. The wounds that she had obtained during their battle were now healed from her resting and from the super potions Kotone used on the wounds to speed up the healing process. Kotone peered from over the couch losing the concentration she had as she finished treating the Starling Pokémon, in favor of giving her mom, her full attention.

"Yeah I was planing to give Prof. Rowan my thanks for everything he's done and a fair well while I'm there... Maybe I should take him lunch he sometimes forgets to take lunch and drinks coffee instead."

While Kotone was lost in thought he mother pulled out a bag that had food containers, already knowing her daughter would want to make sure the Professor was eating correctly, especially when he's at the age he is now.

"Well why don't you take your Pokémon to show the Professor and take him lunch? I'm sure hell be glad to see you before you set off on your journey." Haruka cutoff her daughters thoughts when she stood in front of her with the bag in hand.

"Okay well ill be back soon them." Kotone stood up with Ravenwing perched on her shoulder, grabbed the bag from her mothers grasp and headed for the back door.

"Bluestar! Swiftfang! Come on were going to see Prof. Rowan!" The said Pokémon rushed to their trainer ending the game they had played to stand by their trainer.

As the quartet left towards the direction of the Professors Lab, Haruka looked on and thought that her daughter would do fine on her journey with her Pokémon at her side, with that thought she turned to go back in side to pack some things her daughter might have forgotten to pack for her journey.

Sorry it took so long to post the chapter I've had to go to different Doctor appointments so I've been preoccupied.
