This is not an update, thanks to windows 8 I both lost my computer word document and my thumbdrive backup that I had been working with for quite some time, and I absolutely do not have enough time to re-write the entire ending, sorry 'bout that. If anyone really cares for this to continue and wants to write an ending for it message me.

Chapter 6- Pariah

I crushed the mutant's head under my foot and absorbed the rest of the body, I immediately sprinted toward the one who was going for the alarm a little ways away on the wall. I didn't have time to change my arm into my large blade so I settled for my dagger, I stabbed straight through the mutant's chest immediately destroying its spinal cord and nerve connection, I absorbed him as well. Lyons had tasked me with breaking into the Mutant's main base of operations to extract the brotherhood of steel squad that had been captured preforming recon of the area. It had taken me a few hours at least to get to the state once known as Missouri where this base existed, I was currently in the main entrance to the facility. Scanning through the two mutant's memories I found that there were a total of 40 floors in the building, a scribe named Jameson had also explained to me that the base had been secret military before the war and the self-destruct mechanism was likely still intact, this was confirmed by the mutant's memories. Luckily the mutant's mind also had a way to disarm it, there was a command center, which just happened to be in the exact center of the base. The elder had told me that there may be a computer involved and had given me a set of 20 binary numbers which would corrupt any computer system that existed made by Robco, along with instructions on how to use it. The mutant also had knowledge of the targets I was to extract, they were currently being held on floor 36 and the control system for the self-destruct mechanism was on the 20th floor. I sighed to myself, only 20 floors downward to go through, and then another 16 to get to the prisons, all the while killing countless mutants, thankfully the creators of the building had added three elevator systems, one of which was directly to my left.

I pried the outer doors of the elevator apart, the cart itself was down a few floors, which was an obstacle. I dealt with this little annoyance by changing my arm into my large blade and making one solid slice in the cables suspending it, the car immediately plummeted I jumped after it, the floors flying by as I dropped a little faster than the car itself, morphing my arm into a claw I stabbed it into the wall, immediately stopping my decent. Had I been even remotely human my arm would have been ripped out of its socket, my arm however was stuck straight through the metal wall directly above floor 20. Morphing my arm into my whipfist I activated my heat vision, I personally didn't like my heat, inferred, night, infected, or X-ray visions, they used biomass every second that they were engaged, however they did have their uses. I found that there were 20 mutants in the room, there were also likely a few buttons to set off the nuke in with them as well. I had two options at this point, one go in fast and try to kill all of them before any one of them activated the nuke, or I could try slipping in quietly and taking them out without being seen, I turned off my thermal vision and decided on the first option as I still had the outer door of the elevator between me and them.

Kicking off of the wall I used my whole body not unlike a wrecking ball, slamming feet first into the outer elevator doors, both flying off of their hinges, as I predicted this stunned the mutants in the room who were obviously unprepared for an actual attack. I used this minor break in action to spot three buttons one across the room from me, one to my left in the center of the wall and one to my right, a rectangular Plexiglas chamber was in the direct center of the room housing a large computer. I went to the left at full speed slamming into one of the mutants beside the button, bowling him over and knocking him into the one on the other side of the button, I didn't have time to stop however as I sprinted again at top speed to the next button, the mutants were starting to regain comprehension of the situation, one even started shooting at me hitting one of his team mates in the shoulder. I reached the second button throwing out my whipfist to pierce about 6 of the mutants through the chest, two of them being the ones that had been by the button a moment before, quickly retracting my arm I sprinted to the third button the mutants by this button were barely just starting to recover as I went into a power slide. I threw my whipfist out towards them slicing off their legs along with 2 others' all four falling to the ground, I again retracted my whipfist my power slide taking me to the wall just right of the elevator door that I had entered through.

I changed my arm into my large blade, now it was clean up time. 4 of the mutants that were still alive were shooting at me, their accuracy was a hopeless mess. Still sitting on the floor I quickly looked back toward the first button there were two mutants charging at it, I jumped up and muttered "oh no you don't" sprinting again at top speed. I slashed high in a wide arc, taking both of the mutants' heads off in one blow. Another one went for the button directly across from where I was, I was over there in 1.5 seconds and cleaved the mutant's entre body in half. Some of them that were still alive decided to run at this point, I didn't blame them, the rest of the ones still attacking were quickly dispatched. I immediately went to the controls. I called up the emergency system prompt that the elder had told me how to access, I scrolled down to the 346th line of binary code and put in the 20 number addition to the code and hit enter just as someone up above hit the alarm.

Sirens wailed and red lights began flashing in the room I was currently standing in, code was currently scrolling at a breakneck pace down and across the screen I was staring at. Another three seconds and a small text box popped up with the two words "command complete" all in capital letters the text box hovered and disappeared, the red lights stopping almost immediately afterward. The sirens however were likely on a different system as they continued to blare. With that done my objective was now to go rescue the captives 16 floors away. I walked back to the elevator shaft and jumped through the recently pried open doors, I counted the floors as they flew by morphing my hands into claws, reaching floor 36 I stabbed them into the metal just above the elevator door immediately stopping my decent. I changed both of my feet into vertical flat blades and drove them into the outer elevator door, pulling them apart from each other and easily opening the door. I flung the rest of my body through the now open doorway, ready for a fight, I was surprised however to find that I was standing in a long, 2 story hallway with barred jail cells on either side. Looking inside the cells immediately to my left and right I found them completely vacant, walking forward I continued peering into the cells, 8 cells inward I heard a male voice "hey big and ugly, are you going to feed us or not?" I walked to the front of the cell, the man immediately jumped back staring at my claws "whoa, what's up with you buddy?" he said nervously "where are the others?" I asked "we're up here" a female voice, this time from directly above me.

I morphed my claws back to normal hands and found the point where the door latched to the rest of the metal frame, I pulled my arm back and punched the solid chunk of metal. The door flew inward, almost off its hinges, the man inside looked even more timid then before. I jumped upward to the second floor easily clearing the 12 foot gap landing me right in front of a blonde haired woman. "Who are you?" I asked punching the same place on the door that I had on the previous one, the woman looked startled but regained her composure quickly "Sarah Lyons, thanks for the rescue." "Ah, so that's why, your father sent me by the way." I said "yes, that sounds like him, thanks none the less" she said as I moved to the next cell, breaking it open the same way as all the others "Listen up men, grab your gear and let's get out of here. The mutants are likely aware of us by now and will be moving to re-contain us." She then turned to me for a moment "what's your name?" she asked "Alex mercer" I responded simply, I moved from cell to cell quickly breaking them open, there were 16 cells that had people in them. As I broke them out the soldiers muttered their thanks and began jogging down the hall towards the cells that I still had to open and past, disappearing around the far corner. "Anyone else?" I questioned aloud. Hearing no response I followed the way that the soldiers and Sarah had gone.

I rounded the corner, almost walking right into a person in the silver-like armor that I had seen all around the compound that Lyons was in "What are you called anyways?" I asked, I was surprised when a woman answered "I already told you that my name was Sarah, or did you not recognize me under the armor" "Well that's true, however I was more wondering what your group was called, all the people in the metal armor." I asked "This is T 51B power armor, and we are the Brotherhood of Steel." She declared somewhat proudly "Wait, you went on a suicide mission for a group you didn't even know the name of?" she asked incredulously "yea, I had a few days to waste and I could need your people's help later on." I continued "Plus, it's not exactly suicide when you're dealing with me." Her team was assembling behind her all armed with laser or plasma weapons and wearing the same power armor. "So" she started "you got yourself in here now all you have to do is get all of us out, do you have a plan?" "Not a clue, but I'm working on it" I admitted. "Do you know of any way you and your group can get back up?" I asked after a second "Well there is always the elevator, however I have a feeling that that's no longer an option if you came from that way, is it…" Sarah replied "and that would be an excellent guess" I said, Sarah turned back to her group "Alright men, we're walking to the next elevator" She turned back to me "follow me, we still need your help." I nodded, she turned back to my left and and began walking I followed right behind her.

We continued down a straight concrete hallway for about 5 minutes "so where exactly are we going?" I asked "a little further and we'll find another set of cells exactly like the ones we were in, however what's more important is that there's a working elevator, that's how we'll get out." She said "wait" I started "so if there's a prison break the prisoners can just take the elevator and escape? That doesn't sound like the old government." "and that's where you come in" Sarah began "the elevators require a hand scan and a number combination to access the elevator on this level, the outer door itself weighs about a ton, but you can open it right?" I let out a small sigh "yea, and that sounds more like the government." We continued walking and a few minutes later we found ourselves in the same hallway lined with cells, or what looked like it at least, the elevator doors were intact and the cells weren't smashed open which meant that the elevator should work here. "You're up" Sarah said looking at me expectantly I began walking towards the door "oh and make sure the doors aren't damaged otherwise the elevator will shut down, the motors however don't have to be working" I stood directly in front of the door measuring the length.

I morphed my hands into two flat 10 foot rectangles and drove them both into the outer doors and began pulling them in opposite directions the motors were extremely well made as I could feel their resistance. After a second of applying enough force to burn out the motors but not enough to damage the door I succeeded, the doors suddenly flinging open, the motors no longer resisting. Sarah walked up to the panel beside the hand scanner, a single button, and pressed it, the cables in the shaft beyond the doors began to move quickly. There was a small audible chime as the elevator arrived and its inner doors slid open revealing a space large enough for about 8 people, which meant about 6 of the brotherhood members could go at once with their armor. Sarah had apparently already figured that out as she turned to talk to her men "Alright" she began "the four of you closest to the elevator including me and Mercer will go first and eliminate all resistance on the entrance floor the rest of you follow as fast as you can" Everyone nodded and the directed people stepped forward, stepping into the elevator, Sarah followed and I went last ready to fight whatever they had gathered up there, the entrance I had gone through had been big enough to cram about 50 or so mutants in it, if the one that was at the top of the elevator was packed full the brotherhood were going to need all the help they could get. Sarah, being the closest to the button pressed the button with a G on it likely standing for 'ground floor' the inner doors closed and the car began ascending. I counted 53 seconds before the door let out a chime and the car stopped, I prepared myself to rush out immediately to kill anything there. As soon as the doors were open just enough I sprinted out changing my arm to a blade as I saw a shape, only a single shape and in my haste I couldn't get a good look at it but it was human, time slowed down as I tried to decide what to do, my arm was currently still changing but by the time I reached the form the blade would be solid enough to slice it in half. I settled on throwing my arm downward into the floor following my plan my arm came down except instead of having the blade hit metal it hit flesh, for a second I was confused as to what my blade hit, it was something green. I looked around the floor of the entryway, dozens of bodies littered the floor all of them large and green with large blade cuts in them, I brought my head up to face the person in front of me, realizing just who it was before laying eyes on him I immediately tried to bring my blade upwards and into him, instead I felt four objects pierce my chest and throw me against the wall to the left of the elevator.

"Pariah was immediately standing above me "too slow" he said jumping off me as I swung my blade at him, cutting nothing but air. "Don't shoot at him" I said quickly, looking over at the Brotherhood that had their weapons pointed at him "He's right" Pariah started "you might just piss me off." The Brotherhood didn't put down their weapons however didn't fire them after a second I stood up morphing my arm back to normal "why are you here?" I asked him, he looked at me for a moment "because you're here, and why would that be?" he asked "Just helping some people out" I responded simply "since when do you help people?" he asked, seemingly mischievously "since the world went to hell, or were you oblivious to that fact?" I said coolly attempting to get him to leave as quickly as possible "alright I get it" he said "I'll leave, but I'll be back soon." He said with a grin and sprinted out the door. A few seconds later Sarah's voice came from behind me "care to explain who that was?" "Yea" I said "that was who I have to fight and that's also why I need the help of your organization and thus why I'm rescuing you." She paused and thought for a minute "well good luck with that one, you can head back to DC we'll radio ahead that we're fine" "you're not going to be recaptured or killed without me?" I asked "well the only reason we were captured was because we were ambushed by over 120 super mutants, those mutants are now about 20 strong thanks to you and whoever that was" she said "alright then I'll leave you to that then." I said and turned, walking a few feet before breaking into a sprint headed back to DC.

A few hours later I arrived at the front gate again slamming myself to a halt kicking up a dust cloud just in front of the door guard he had his gun pointed at me for a second before putting it at the ready again "oh it's you, I'll have the gate open in a moment" he said "it's too slow and there's no need" I remarked, breaking into a sprint and jumping up to the wall above the gate and sprinting upward, a few seconds later I had cleared the wall and threw myself forward and down, slowing myself before hitting the ground resulting in a soft landing on the metal plate in the center of the outdoor complex. Most of the people were too busy with whatever they were doing to notice me, the ones who did notice were within a few feet of me who were stunned for a second before realizing who had just landed in their midst "where's Lyons?" I asked the nearest one "He was in the B wing with Liberty Prime last I saw him" the man said "what's a Liberty Prime?" I asked him "oh, that's what we named the giant robot under our feet" I nodded and walked to the doors with a B stenciled above them and entered, it took me a minute or two to find my way back to the room I had first seen Lyons in but once I did I found him rather easily, standing in front of what I assumed was the control console of the robot talking with one of the robed scientists.

I jumped over the railing and landed softly behind the two "Lyons" I said, both of them wheeled around startled "Ah it's you" Lyons said recognizing me "I received word that the squad was rescued by you" "along with your daughter" I chimed in "Yes, and my Daughter" He said "now what is it that you want? I assume that you'll want more now that you know about that little fact, but you won't get anything more than…" I cut him off with a wave of my hand and began speaking "I don't want anything else; all I need to do is to kill Pariah that is the one and only thing you can help me with" I finished
