Michael Francis "Mick" Foley, Sr.(born June 7, 1965)is a semi-retired Americanprofessional wrestler, author, comedian, actor,voice actorand formercolour commentatorcurrently working forWWEas the on-screen general manager forSaturday Morning Slam. He has worked for many wrestling promotions, includingWWE,World Championship Wrestling(WCW),Extreme Championship Wrestling(ECW) andTotal Nonstop Action Wrestling(TNA), as well as numerous promotions in Japan. He is often referred to as "The Hardcore Legend", a nickname he shares withTerry Funk.
Foley has wrestled both under his real name and variouspersonas, including Dude Love, Cactus Jack, and Mankind, also known as theThree Faces of Foley. Foley is a four-time world champion (threeWWF Championships, and oneTNA World Heavyweight Championship), an 11-time tag team champion (eightWWF Tag Team Titles, twoECW World Tag Team Titles, and oneWCW World Tag Team Championship), the firstWWF Hardcore Champion, and a one-timeTNA Legends Champion. Foley headlined many pay-per-views for WWE from the mid-1990s to the mid 2000s, including the2000edition of the company's premier annual event,WrestleMania.
Following his retirement from wrestling full-time, Foley appeared occasionally with WWE as a special guest referee and later as acolour commentator for theSmackDownbrand. After his departure from WWE in 2008, he signed with TNA, where he was astorylinestock holder of the company. Foley has won a total of 17 championships between WCW, ECW, WWF/E, and TNA. Foley is also a multiple-timeNew York Times best selling auto biographer. He was a subject of the wrestling documentariesBeyond the MatandBloodstained Memoirs. Foley was inducted into theWWE Hall of Fameon April 6, 2013.
