Chapter 7: Masks and Missions!

A mask can do a lot of things.

It can take away your fears.

It can make you smile when you're down.

And hide all your many tears.

But a mask isn't a good thing.

It lies and goes too far.

The worst part is when you start to forget who you are.

Be careful when you pick a mask because it can get too attached.

And when you try to take it off, a part of you will be forever lost.

"Well, every thing looks fine your upset stomach can just be caused by stress or maybe just a bad case of a stomach virus."

TenTen looked at the female medic who smiled politely at her, "Maybe, I have been under a lot of stress lately."

The medic gave a quick empathetic frown before letting her smile return,"I hope you feel better soon honey I'm sorry there's nothing else I can do to help you. If the pain continues please come back and we'll have a second look and run more test but you're all set to go have a good day."

TenTen took a deep breath the pain was constant and she felt light headed. Her body felt tired and ached all over. When she stepped down off the examining table her legs gave out and she fell.

The medic ran to help her, "Oh my gosh! I need help in here!"

TenTen struggled to stand up, "I feel weak."

Sakura ran into the room, "TenTen are you ok?" She turned to the medic, "What's wrong with her?"

The medic started to panic, "Nothing, I mean I don't know her labs came back clean."

"Go get lady Tsunade now." The medic ran to carry out Sakura's command.

TenTen now laying on the examination table put her hand on her stomach, "Sakura."

Sakura look at TenTen worried, "I think I'm going to die."

Sakura laughed, "You're not going to die."

"Sakura, the Hokage has been pulled away, is there anyone else?" The medic stood outside the room.

Sakura placed a hand on TenTen's stomach and started to heal her she then turned to the medic who was panicking, "Aki I need you to calm down. Did you take her blood?" Aki nodded fast as she tried to calm her self down, "I need you to bring me her results."

Sakura turned back to TenTen who seemed to be more comfortable, "What is wrong with that girl, I thought medics were suppose to be good under pressure."

Sakura smiled, "Aki is a good medic she's a little new so you falling unexpectedly probably freaked her out she'll get better. When did this pain start?"

TenTen took a deep breath recollecting her thoughts, "About three weeks ago."

Sakura nodded and Aki ran into the room handing her TenTen's labs before smiling and walking back out of the room.

Sakura giggled at Aki's behavior then removed her hand from TenTen's belly causing her to cry softly. Sakura open TenTen's charts and reviewed them her smile slowly slipping away.

TenTen noticed Sakura's smile went away, "What's wrong?"

Sakura coughed, "Well you should have come in sooner, three weeks is too long something serious could have been wrong. I need to ask a few questions standard questions. "

TenTen nodded her head and Sakura continued, "When was the last time you had sexual intercourse?"

TenTen blushed, "Almost two months ago."

Sakura put her clipboard down, "With who?!"

"Sakura is that a question I have to answer?"

Sakura sighed, "No. " She picked up her clipboard again, "When was your last period?"

"I take a pill at the beginning of every year so I don't have any."

"Have you had all your vaccine shots?"

"Yes."

"Ok and when was that?"

"7 months ago."

"Any diseases or injuries I should know about?"

"Nope."

Sakura looked at TenTen's labs, "Well TenTen based on your charts you have low sugar levels which is probably why you've been feeling weak and light headed. You need to be eating way more than you have been because it's clear that you're pregnant. "

"What!" TenTen popped up, "Are you serious, you can't be." Sakura nodded, TenTen put her hand on her forehead getting lost in her own world,"You can't tell anyone, not even the Hokage."

Sakura bit her lip, "I have to TenTen it's mandatory, the Hokage demands to see all medical reports of any shinobi that comes into the hospital no matter how minor."

"Please Sakura what about doctor patient confidentiality I won't do anything to put the b-baby in danger I promise but you can't say a word to anyone. I just need to keep this quiet, Please."

Sakura looked at TenTen, "Fine, but if I have to keep your secret I need to know the whole story who is the father?"

TenTen squinted at Sakura before letting her breath out, "Neji."

Sakura smiled, but lossed it as she looked at TenTen who looked depressed. She clasped her hands together and smiled, "You know what will cheer you up hearing the baby's heart beat and knowing how old he/she is."

TenTen looked up as Sakura pulled a cart next to the table she was laying on. She pulled back her shirt then Sakura squirted a clear gel on her belly. Sakura pulled out a small rod and placed it on TenTen's stomach before moving it all around. A small faint sound projected it was not until Sakura stopped in a specific area that the sound became more clear.

It was the baby's heartbeat, Sakura smiled and pressed a button which took pictures of the baby inside of TenTen, "From the looks of it you have two or three month baby, it looks like it's a bit under weight but don't worry I'll give you the proper vitamins you need and your baby should come out healthy."

TenTen frowned at the screen, "What am I going to do?"

There was a loud crashing noise which caused Ayome to turn around, "What was that Temari?"

The blonde haired girl smiled nervously, "This box is a lot heavier than it looks."

Ayome laughed, "Leave it we'll carry it in together, I want to start unpacking."

"I have to say this house is amazing but I'm surprised Sasuke is ok with me moving in with you."Temari said while looking at the inside of the house she would be living in.

Ayome opened up a box, "Why wouldn't he be?"

Temari opened up a box of her own, "To tell you the truth I'm surprised he even offered for you to stay in one of his houses let's just say Sasuke isn't the friendly type." Temari placed a lamp on the small dark mahogany stand that stood beside her, "To tell you the truth I think he has a thing for you."

Ayome turned to her friend blushing heavily, "No way, like you said Sasuke isn't the friendly type."Ayome thought about what she and Sasuke talked about on their walk the other night before continuing to go through her box. She then stopped again, "But let's just say if he does, how bad would it be if I liked him as well."

Temari laughed and plopped down next to her friend, "You like Sasuke? I can't believe it!"

Ayome put her hand on the back of her neck nervously, "I was asking hypothetically I'm not sure what or even if I feel anything for him. I just don't see why everyone says he's mean he seems pretty ok to me."

Temari threw her hands up, "I rest my case, it's because he likes you."

Ayome bit her lip, "I can't lie he is really cute."

Temari laughed as she made her way back to the box she started unpacking, "I didn't know you like bad boys I honestly thought you were leaning more towards Naruto by the way you acted at the ramen shop."

Ayome's head snapped up in surprise, " I don't think I could ever think of Naruto like that he reminds me a lot of Nakari."

Temari looked at Ayome who was staring at the bubble wrap, "Ayome I never said anything to you about it because I know it can be hard on you but what happened was not your fault." Temari smiled at Ayome even though she kept her head down, "You can talk to me anytime about it you're not alone, I miss them too."

Temari watched as her friend shut down Nakari was Ayome's younger cousin who would often cling to her side. He was full of life and admired Ayome very much, but he was gone.

Temari dug in a different box and pulled out a heart shaped locket, "Remember this?" She opened it up and a sweet melody started to play, "I know you hated it because Rikku gave it to you but the truth is Nakari picked it out for you."

Ayome looked at the locket, "Really?"

Temari smiled and nodded, "Yes. I remember him saying something along the lines of 'Rikku is an idiot my cousin deserves better but since she can't get it I'll help the monkey make her happy'."

Ayome laughed as a tear rolled down her cheek, "I still can't believe I won't ever see him laughing again or any of them. I loved them do you think they knew that."

Temari bent down next to Ayome and put a hand on her shoulder, "Of course they do and they always will Ayome and you need to know they loved you."

Ayome took the locket out of Temari's hand and rubbed her thumb over the solid gold necklace,"Your wrong about one thing, it is all my fault." She stood up and brushed herself off, "We should find what we're wearing to Hinata's masked ball, I have tons of ball gowns."

Temari stood up and started to walk to the staircase, "How sweet is her fiancé for throwing this ball for her."

Ayome smiled cheerfully, "Yes now if only we could find us two men like that." Ayome snapped her finger, "Actually I just need to find one I forgot you have Shika-poo now."

Temari bumpped Ayome playfully, "I have an idea why don't you ask Sasuke to the masked ball and once you're there get him alone and kiss him so you two can walk off into the sunset."

Ayome looked at Temari she knew her friend was kidding so she joined in on the games, "Yea then we'll get married the next day and live happily ever after."

Naruto smacked a glass down on the table, "Another round JuJu."

The bartender laughed, "You're something kid, another round coming up."

Beside Naruto sat a very silvered haired sensei,"Naruto you're extremely lactose and tolerate please stop drinking glasses of chocolate milk besides that is not what a bar is for." Naruto sat with his head down and Kakashi sighed, "Why did you ask me here anyway?"

Naruto took a sip out of the glass JuJu sat down, "Kakashi-sensei how do you understand girls."

Kakashi pulled down his mask revealing a thinner mask which he could use to drink things. He lifted a cup of tea to his mouth and drank from it, "Girls are easy to understand, women are the confusing ones. I'm not sure how much good my advice will do for you but why don't you tell me what you're talking about anyway."

Naruto stared at the clock on the wall, "I wanted to help Hinata get out of her arranged marriage and the only way I can do that is if we get married or if she married someone else before marrying Tyai. When I told her about the idea she got upset and said I was no better than the elders of her clan. I've never seen Hinata so mad she was practically fuming with anger."

"Naruto you are an idiot you're treating Hinata like she is a toy instead of a person." Kakashi took another sip fron his cup.

Naruto looked at Kakashi confused, "What do you mean?"

Kakashi turned to JuJu, "I think I'll need something a little stronger than tea." JuJu nodded and went to pour Kakashi a new drink, "Naruto why do you think Hinata is upset about the whole situation in the first place?"

Naruto looked at Kakashi, "Well I think she is upset about marrying Tyai."

"She's upset about getting married it doesn't matter if it's to you or Tyai. You're not solving her problem you're just making it a little better. JuJu set Kakashi's glass of whiskey down and walked away. Kakashi sighed deeply , "No matter how much she seems upset it's only because she's been in love with you her whole life."

Naruto choked on his milk, "How did you know that?"

Kakashi sipped his whiskey, "Even the blindest man could see the amount of love that girl carries for you."

Naruto stared at his sensei his gaze only drifted once he heard a bird call.

Kakashi stood up and slapped money down on the table to cover the tab he then turned to Naruto, "We have to go now."

It was loud, there were people all around talking, asking questions that no one had the answers to. Worry quickly filled the room followed by panic.

Tsunade stood on a balcony looking down at all her shinobi, she wore a deep scowl on her face. She looked all around the room before clearing her throat, "Listen up because I won't repeat myself!" Everybody in the room closed their mouths and looked up at Tsunade, "Being Hokage comes with many great pleasures, but it also comes with many burdens. Today I unfortunately have the burden of telling all of you that we are at war."

The room was instantly filled a buzzing noise as every one started to talk.

Tsunade slammed her hand down, "Quiet! Suna has taken the lives of many shinobi from this village. The reason is still unclear but I wont just sit back and watch them use the leaf as a punching bag. However, I will take more than one approach to end this war as fast as possible. Missions will be assigned before you leave today, but in order to stretch our strength missions will be assigned to teams of two instead of teams of three. I have carefully selected the teams of two based on the strength and skills each one of you possess and the type of mission you need to complete."

A random ninja yelled to get Tsunade's attention, "W-what about the Suna princess what are we going to do with her?"

Before Tsunade could answer dozens of voices shouted.

"Kill her!"

"Yea show Suna who their messing with!"

"Yea!"

"Enough!" Tsunade was losing her nerve,"That should be the last thing on your mind in a matter of days we will be on the battlefield with a village that is equal in power to us. You're all dismissed! They're anbu at the doors with scrolls if you receive a scroll with a red seal please seem me in my office now!"

Ayome open the door to the Hokage's office,"Lady Hokage please forgive my absence from the meeting earlier I didn't see any messenger birds."

Hinata, Naruto, Kiba, Sakura, Sasuke, TenTen, Shikamaru, and Neji all stood in the room completely quiet.

Tsunade waved her hand so Ayome would come in, "Yes for a good reason. I wanted to know how close are you to Temari?"

Shikamaru's eyes darted over to look at Ayome who simply smiled, "Very close, I guess you could say she's my best friend."

Tsunade looked at Ayome with concentration, "Ayome being a ninja requires undoubted loyalty, I should be able to give you a mission and you should execute it without questioning. Do you understand that?"

Ayome nodded without hesitation, "Yes I understand and I will give my life to protect this village it's my home now."

Tsunade continued to look at Ayome, "We are at war with Suna, so if I were to tell you to take your best friends life."

Ayome looked at Shikamaru then back at the Hokage, "You w-want me to kill Temari?"

"Now wait just a minute grandma who do you think you are! You can't just ask her to do that!" Naruto yelled out in furry.

Tsunade looked at Naruto calmly, "Naruto if you get out of line again I'll beat you to a pulp! Besides I'm not I just wanted to see how deep her loyalty goes by the sounds of it it's a little undecided." Ayome dropped her head slightly, "Right! Now you are all here because you will be receiving difficult missions. Our forces will be stretched thin for a while so I need my chunin to step up and take on more."

Tsunade closed her eyes then open them again,"That reminds me, Naruto!" He flinched at the sound of his name being yelled, "As of now you are a chuninn!"

A huge grin appeared on his face as he yelled at the top of his lungs, "YEA I'M A CHUNIN IT'S ABOUT TIME! WATCH OUT GRANNY BECAUSE I'M GOING TO BE HOKAGE SOON! "

Tsunade smile slighty,"Enough celebrating! It's time I announce the selected teams. Team one will be Uzumaki, Naruto and Hyuga, Hinata." Both Naruto and Hinata looked at each other before quickly looking away, "Team two will be TenTen and Hyuga, Neji. Team three will be Uchiha, Sasuke and Haruno, Sakura. Team four will be Siruga, Ayome and Inusuka, Kiba."

Tsunade then threw scrolls and everyone caught one, "In the scroll you've just received encloses the details of your missions. I won't lie to you, all of your strength will be tested so work together. Enjoy today because chances are you won't recognize tomorrow. You're dismissed!"

Everyone left the room except for a long figure, Shikamaru walked in front of the Hokage's desk. Once the doors were closed he began to speak, "I'm guessing my mission is top secret."

Tsunade looked at Shikamaru, "It's about Temari, I can't just leave her wondering around while were at war with her village."

Shikamaru narrowed his eyes, "So what do you want to do?"

Tsunade stood up and looked at her window, "I don't know I could lock her up but I don't think she even knows about the war. If she does however, well we've all seen what kind of damage she can do."

Tsunade sighed deeply, "I want you to convince her to go on a trip with you somewhere no one would find you but somewhere pretty enough so she won't suspect anything. If you gain information of her knowing about this war and having a hand in it." Tsunade paused before speaking again,"Kill her. Until then wait for farther instructions."

Shikamaru's heart was beating fast but he didn't show it he simply answered, "Yes Lady Hokage." Before turning away to head for the door, he was going to be sick.

Tsunade stopped him, "One more thing you have to leave now, she is still the Kazekage's sister and I'm sure they'll be coming for her soon but we might use her as a bargaining chip."

Shikamaru didn't respond he just left, once out of the room he bent down he was out of breath. His heart was racing he never felt so nervous in his life he then balled up his fist to regain his composure before standing up and running down the hall as fast as he could. No matter how much Temari meant to him he had to obey orders.

"TenTen wait up!"

TenTen turned to see Sakura running up to her and rolled her eyes, she knew exactly what this was about.

When Sakura caught up to her she didn't waste any time, "You have to tell Lady Tsunade about the thing, you can't go on any missions in your condition."

TenTen released a deep breath out in anger, "Sakura it is my decision to go on this mission not yours or the Hokages. This thing will be fine."

TenTen started to walk away and Sakura grabbed her arm, "If I told Lady Tsunade about your baby she would never let you go on this mission so it is her decision not yours. Besides you promised you wouldn't put the baby's life in danger so since your breaking your promise I'll break mine."

TenTen unraveled her scroll and shoved in in Sakura's face, "This mission is just a assistance for Neji so it's not that serious or dangerous."

Sakura push TenTen's hand down, "You're lying through your teeth and we both know it why are you trying so hard to fight this?"

TenTen threw her hands up in frustration, "Because I never once said that I wanted to have this baby, I'm not sure if I'm keeping it or not ok but chances are I'm not! So please just leave me alone and I don't care anymore tell the Hokage I'll just get rid of it so I'll be ready for the next mission!"

Sakura looked sad, "What did Neji say?"

TenTen turned her back to Sakura,"Neji is engaged and will be married to someone very soon, he doesn't have time for me or this baby so he doesn't get a say."

TenTen left Sakura standing there as she stormed off not caring about anyone in her way and in the process she bumped into Hinata causing her to drop her scroll.

Which just happend to roll away so Hinata started to chase after it. She stopped when someone picked it up she looked up and saw Naruto which made her adjust her stance anxiously.

Naruto handed Hinata her scroll then smiled nervously, "Hinata I wanted to apologize for what I said the other day I realize now how stupid and selfish it was. Is there any way I could get you to forgive me?"

Hinata smiled gently, "Of course Naruto, I'm sorry for saying all those mean things to you."

Naruto grabbed Hinata's hand as he shook his head, "No don't apologize you only said what you felt and to tell you the truth I kind of like how you spoke your mind, you should do it more often."

Hinata blushed slightly at the settle compliment, "I'm g-glad we apologized before we went on our missions."

Naruto laughed, "Yea that would have been weird. Hinata can I ask you something?" Hinata nodded her head yes, "Do you want to marry this Tyai guy?"

Hinata looked at Naruto in shocked but he continued to talk, "If you do then I want to say I'm happy for you and I won't get in the way ever again."

Hinata looked at Naruto, "W-would you really be happy for me?" Narruto looked at Hinata and nodded though he seemed unsure, "Once I get married we have to start trying to produce a heir, to tell you the truth I-I wish I never came of age, I don't want to get married right now but it is my duty to my clan.

Naruto looked at Hinata confused, "Produce a heir, how do you do that exactly?"

Hinata blushed furiously,"H-haven't you ever had the t-talk N-naruto?"

Naruto shook his head no and Hinata turned a darker shade of red, "Naruto you don't know h-how b-babies are made?"

Naruto's eyes widen when he realized what Hinata meant,"You have to have a baby! What you can't! You-"

Naruto shut his mouth and balled his fist and Hinata noticed, "What is it Naruto?"

Naruto laughed softly, "I guess I'm upset that he will get to have you in that way. You shouldn't have to do any of that stuff."

Hinata looked at Naruto, "I-I'll be fine Naruto, I've been expecting this since I was young. W-we should talk about s-something else like our mission, I'm excited to be paired with you." Naruto didn't join in on the conversation, "W-well I should be going, I-I hope to see you a-at the ball tonight."

"I'll be there." Hinata smile and Naruto grinned, "Promise to save me the first dance?"

Hinata smiled softly before nodding, she then turned and started to walk away from Naruto on her way she seen Ayome and Sasuke leaning against a wall she smiled and received a smile back from Ayome.

Sasuke waited for Hinata to pass, "Well?"

Ayome looked at Sasuke cautiously, "Well what?"

"You came to stand by me for no reason?" Sasuke rose a eyebrow.

Ayome put her hand on her chest dramatically, "I can't stand next to my friend for no particular reason at all?"

Sasuke narrowed his eyes and Ayome smiled cheerfully. Silence fell upon them until Ayome spoke again,"Ok just one thing, was I wrong for hesiatating earlier. I mean would you kill Naruto if she had ordered you to?"

Sasuke sighed, "Naruto isn't my best friend."

"Yes he is."

"No he isn't. "

"Yes he is!"

"No he isn't!"

Ayome rolled her eyes, "What ever you say,but let's just say if he were would you."

Sasuke looked at her before looking forward, "I can't say because I've never been put in that predicament. I guess you would need to decide what's more important to you."

Ayome rubbed her arms it was starting to get chilly outside which let her know that it was getting late, "Hey Sasuke would you happen to be going to Hinata's ball tonight because if you were I was thinking maybe we could go together."

Sasuke didn't bother looking at Ayome, "I don't like to dance."

Ayome was confused she didn't know if Sasuke liked her or not and it wasn't very easy to tell at that moment she decided to forget about her silly crush for Sasuke. She bit her lip and nodded her understanding, she used her leg to pushed herself off the wall and started to walk home.

Sasuke waited as he felt another person approach him, "You know you're my best friend right."

Sasuke looked at Naruto and a vein popped out on his forehead, "NO I'M NOT!"

Naruto looked at Sasuke in shocked, "Sheesh, I guess now is a bad time to ask for a favor."

Sasuke rolled his eyes, "Right because the first favor turned out so well."

Naruto scratched his head,"Yea that was all a misunderstanding this favor is so I can show Hinata I care about her the right way. I'm going to do it tonight at the ball. So I need you to help me keep her fiancé distracted."

"I have better things to do then help you with your love life." Sasuke turned his back on Naruto.

"You would be helping me with my happiness."

Sasuke looked at Naruto and sighed deeply, "You're going to make me regret this."

The ballroom was gigantic, it had soft and warm colors painted throughout the entire building. In the center of the room hung a crystal chandelier, the ceiling had golden stars that glowed bright due to the dimmed lights.

Hinata stood there gaping at the amazing view there was a never ending table of food lined up against the wall. The room quickly became filled with people, music and laughter could be heard throughout the party.

Hinata adjusted her mask in the mirror it was white with lavender flowers over it. It matched her ball gown which was an all white laced dress with long sleeves and a lavender ribbon tied around her waist which then poofed out at the bottom.

Time flew by quickly, Hinata had greeted all her guest but there was no sign of Naruto which made her sad.

"May I have this dance?" Hinata turned around and came face to face with a dark haired man who was wearing a dark blue mask. "I-I was actually saving my first dance for a f-friend."

The man reached out and grabbed Hinata's hand before yanking her into his arms and gracefully spinning her around the dance floor.

If it weren't for her mask he would have seen her blushing. She tried to protest, "I promise my friend he would be the first -"

The masked man cut her off, "Person you danced with, I know."

Hinata looked at the man confused, "H-How did you know that?"

"I can see the future." Hinata gasped and the man laughed, "I'm just messing with you the idiot told me." He continued to laugh before lifting his mask up revealing himself.

Hinata relaxed a little but was more confused than ever,"Sasuke, but w-why did you ask me to dance with you?"

Sasuke looked to his side and Hinata followed his lead they were standing in front of the grand double doors,"Naruto is behind those doors."

Hinata watched as Sasuke became lost in the crowds, she turned her attention to doors in front of her she couldn't help but just stare. She sat for sometime just wondering what waits for her on the other side of the doors.

With a deep breath she pushed opened the doors and closed them behind her it was pitch black dark but Hinata wasn't affriad, "N-Naruto."

Hinata didn't hear Naruto or anything for that matter so she activated her byakugan. She started to move in the room but was frightened by the sudden burst of light. It was like a domino effect torches lined up on caught fire one after another.

Hinata gasped in amazement there was a path of purple roses leading to a balcony where Naruto stood waiting for her. She took in the view, there was music playing but it was softer than the music inside the party. Hinata looked at Naruto her breath was taken away, "W-Why go through all the trouble?"

Naruto looked out into the horizon his hands were in his pockets and the setting sunlight hit his face in the most flattering way, "It was no trouble, I just wanted our dance be private."

He offered a hand and Hinata took it, her and Naruto were dancing in their own private hall, "I-I mean why did y-you rent out this entire hall?"

Naruto smiled, "Well we live in two different worlds but I wanted to drag you into my world for a moment."

Hinata smiled gently and let herself be taken in the delight of dancing with Naruto.

"Hinata I promised to leave you alone but only if you want me to. I need to know what you want."

Their dancing came to a halt, Hinata started to fiddle with her fingers,"I-I know what I want Naruto but I c-cant have it I have to serve my clan."

Naruto stared at Hinata His breath became heavier his husky voice rang deep in Hinata's mind, "What do you want Hinata?"

Something had entered into Naruto's voice 'Determination, Selfishness, lust' Hinata never seen this side of Naruto when it came to her. She felt her cheeks get warm and the inside of her thighs grow with heat.

The doors that connected the party to Naruto's hall swung open revealing Tyai. Hinata's eyes widen in panic as she looked into her fiancé's eye's. She scrambled nervously underneath his glare she could only imagine how it looked.

Tyai squinted his eyes to get a better look, "Hinata why are you in here all alone?"

Hinata looked around Naruto was gone she turned her attention back to Tyai, "I-I was just exploring."

Tyai smiled gently at her, "Well come on I want to make every guy jealous by your beauty."

Hinata nodded and walked out the door, Tyai looked around one last time before shutting the door.

Hinata popped up from her sleep she dreamt about a romantic evening with Naruto. It felt so real but she knew it wasn't. When she returned home after getting her assignment from the Hokage her father had told her that the masked ball had to be rescheduled because of the unexpected announcement of war, all the guest were made aware of the cancelation.

Hinata gently laid back down her heart was racing and her breath began to shorten. Even if it was just a dream Hinata believed that dreams sometimes have a deeper meaning to them and help solve problems in your life.

The question that Naruto asked in her dream still burned her ears with reality. 'What do you want?' He seemed so hungry for her response and she wanted nothing more than to give in and forget about all her duties to her clan she was wearing a mask.

Hinata than popped up again, "Naruto!"

She hopped out of her bed she would be late if she didn't rush to get ready. She was due to meet Naruto at the gates to leave for their mission.

She jogged to the gates and was relived when she didn't see Naruto. He showed up about a minute later cheerful as ever. He grinned at Hinata, "Hey Hinata."

She smiled politely, "G-Good morning Naruto."

Kotetsu walks up to Naruto and Hinata with his clipboard, "Alright you two you were set to leave two minutes ago you better get going." Kotetsu looked over, "Same goes for you four."

Sakura,Sasuke, Kiba and Ayome were all getting ready for their departure, TenTen and Neji already left and Shikamaru and Temari were no where to be found.

Naruto smiled at his friends before looking sad.

Sakura rolled her eyes playfully, "What is it Naruto?"

Naruto grabbed at his jacket then giggled, "Well I guess it's not all fun and games anymore. We're at war a lot of people we care about wont make it through this war. We don't know the next time we'll see each other again. So... Take care."

A moment of silence went by before Sasuke spoke, "Take care."

Everyone smiled, "Take care."

With that they set off on a journey that held many unknown dangers.

When Hinata thinks back on this very moment she wishes she could warn them then maybe it would have saved a few of their lives. (1)

That's it for this Chapter and I know I promised action but I am posting a new chapter soon. Did I trick you with Hinata's dream don't worry romance will happen in real life just wait for it. This marks the point where Naruto and Hinata become my main focuses. I was trying to alternate couple and I still will but I need to focus more on my main couple.
