A Legend of Born

A/N- Here is chapter seven for you. Thanks for all your reviews on chapter six. I'm going to make the missions for Neji, Gaara and Ami's go fast. So theirs might be a couple paragraphs to a page each. Sakura will go last.

Chapter Seven: Chunin Exams Part 3

Sakura looked at Tsunade and was in shock on this exam; however she could see the reason to prepare them on a long run. Sakura knew she wasn't showing her shock as Tsunade nodded to her. She wondered how her team would be. She could hear the other team muttering under their breaths and were also in shock.

"When we call you name, you will be placed into your teams on this Chunin exam part." Tsunade called out.

Within five minutes, most of the ninja's were within their groups. "Haruno Sakura, Hyuuga Neji, Gaara and Hino Ami."

Sakura walked over to her team and looked at each of them. She knew Hyuga-san and Gaara-san but the new girl was from Cloud and their alliance with cloud as very tender with words and not actions from what Sakura could learn from Tsunade training.

"Haruno-san." Hyuga-san stated. His white eyes looked over hers. Sakura had a feeling what he was thinking but didn't show it within her eyes. This wasn't the time to become friends with anyone right now.

"Sakura-san." Gaara monotone out. His blue-green eyes stared at the wall as Tsunade was handing out the scrolls to this part of the exam.

"Hyuga-san, Gaara-san. Hino-san." Sakura uttered to them. The groups were now done as Sakura looked to see Hyuga was looking at her from the corner of his eyes. She wondered why that was, but didn't ask.

"Okay, who is going first?" Ami asked, she had long blonde hair with purple eyes.

"Let's draw numbers." Sakura suggested. She got Tsunade to make the numbers of them and then one by one took a piece of paper.

Sakura opened hers to read three on it. So she was number three on this number. She looked at the others, they held up their numbers. Neji was one, Ami was four and Gaara was two. With that said and done, the older Chunin walked over with four scrolls and let Neji pick one.

He took the third one from the left side in; he opened it up and read what the mission was about. Neji read and thought about it. While he looked at each other us and then stated," We have a mission to deliver scrolls to minor lord Su in the Lightning County. "

Sakura nodded her head while the other did the same. Neji told us about his plan; Gaara would be first, then Amy and Sakura and himself last. We got a Jounin named Yura, had long black hair and green eyes. Neji looked at everyone and dismissed us but not before.

"Be prepared for anything and be ready at the gates within thirty minutes." He told us. Sakura nodded her head and placed her hands together and disappeared from sight. She appeared back into her room at the house.

She torn into a new pack and quickly pulled out some clothes into the pack. Within eight minutes, Sakura was done and quickly walked over to her desk and pulled out, some poisons and antidotes into her sides along with some more kunai's and shuriken's.

Sakura walked out and down the stairs, her parents were at work. So she wrote and left a message to them and walked out. She raced towards the gates; she was coming to it to see Gaara-san waiting for the others. She grinned at this and made her way towards him.

"Gaara-san." She stated once she got closer to him.

Gaara looked at her and nodded his head. He had his pack and his gourd; he closed his eyes again and waited. Within minutes, Neji and Ami came and they were off with Yura following them. They travel at high speeds through the trees, only stopping for a few minutes every six hours for some water, food and natural calls. Neji kept everyone looking out for enemies that could attack them with his eyes scanning everywhere twice over.

Neji called to his team to stop them and set up camp, as he looked over everyone's chakra system and told them to rest before tenting or cooking. He told Sakura to check his teammates first before himself.

"Everyone is okay and resting. Hyuga-san." She told him as he nodded at her and let her check himself. He watched her closely and wondered why she was doing the Chunin exam by her-self, but didn't voice it out for the other two teammates that weren't from his village.

The next few days, Neji and his team got back to Konoha and waited for the timing and everything else. He could tell that fourteen other teams were there when they got here. Tsunade nodded her head at them as Yura handed over his mission scroll and her scroll.

Gaara was up next and he unraveled his scroll. He quickly told his team about his scroll and to find out that it was an escort Lady Su to her home in Kusagakure. Gaara lined out the layout and the plan. It would go Neji, Ami, Lady Su on the back of Sakura and then him-self at the back.

They calculated the time to get there and it would take at the speeds which they would be traveling in they would be in Kusagakure within four days if everything went okay.

….Two days later….

It was Sakura's turn to watch for enemies. It was just after twilight when she heard the softening of footsteps coming her away.

She got up and was ready for battle when a unfamiliar headbands came into view. It was four ninja's all with malicious grins on their faces.

Sakura jumped up and fired scrolls at them as they either step aside or dodged. She smirked at them and then pulled out one kunai with a small explosive paper on it.

"Sakura Fubuki no Jutsu. [1]" Sakura shouted out while she threw the last kunai to start the fire works.

It hit them hard as she landed and waited. Groans were heard from the white smoke as one cursed loudly at this. Sakura looked back to see her teammates were still sleeping. Her eyes widen at this and duck when a well-aimed high kick came around.

She jumped back and looked at the enemy; if they had placed a Genjutsu around the area then they might be more than four that are in front of her. She looked around to see Gaara's sand was still away Lady Su tent.

"Good." Sakura thought. This was going to get messy. Sakura took out her katana and held it out, she was ready for battle.

Sakura waited for them to make the first move and they did. Sakura either slash out or dodged away from the enemies as she was slowly backed into a tree. She kicked it hard, making it fall with a large boom. Sakura grinned at them and disappeared from sight. She placed her katana on the ground and looked at her team; she was within several feet from them. She quickly did hand seals on them and woke them up.

"We under attack!" her voice yelled out as their eyes opened quickly. Sakura kicked back hard and took out one enemy hard and he threw back into the trees. She picked up her katana and quickly found the one that was doing a new Genjutsu on them. She killed her quickly to turn to see Neji finishing the last one.

"Haruno-san, are you okay?" Gaara asked when he appeared by her. Yura was standing by looking and writing things down on the scroll.

"I'm fine, but the Genjutsu was between A rank or S rank type. " She told them. She walked over to Ami first and checks out her body for injuries, finding a few of them, she healed them quickly. She turned to Neji and check him out too, but founded nothing.

She looked at Gaara and even check him out too for wounds again finding nothing; she looked at her body to see nothing of the sort on her this time.

They quickly packed and set off to the Kusagakure faster now. However Ami was carrying Lady Su this time. Sakura was with Neji as she left his stare on her face.

"Hai, Hyuga-san?" She asked.

His white eyes narrowed but said nothing; she shook her head and jumped from tree to tree. Within two more days, they got to Kusagakure and were welcomed for the night.

Sakura and Ami had been arm tied into having a bath in the hot springs. Sakura rested her head against the side of the side and counted within her mind about this exam. Next was Ami's, even if hers was three. She wanted to everyone's plans and strengths and weakness before her mission. She was sure that Gaara and Neji had some but she still couldn't tell what theirs were.

Ami's was clearly seen, as it was her skills in two of the three areas, her Taijutsu and Ninjutsu. Her Genjutsu skills were and higher then a Chunin skills. That was a good thing but also bad. Maybe after this exam Ami would train more.

After the bath, Sakura got out and dressed into a kimono that was light pink and white with Sakura blossoms pattern on it. They were having a feast for the returning of Lady Su. Sakura and the others were invited to the feast too. Yura sat near the end of the table, still looking at Gaara and writing in her scroll.

The evening went by not so quickly for the ninja team at all. Sakura was watching everyone, when she seen out of the corner of her eye someone pouring something into a drink glass and bringing it over to them, the servant held out the glasses to Lady Su. Sakura grabbed it quickly and drink it, as she was mostly immune to poisons.

However this one was strong and had affected her fast. Her face turned red, sweating and her eyes were glossy over.

"Haruno-san?" Gaara asked as they all seen her doing it.

"Poison….he poured…poison into Lady Su cup…took it….instead…" Sakura fainted to her knees as Neji caught her before she fell onto the ground. The man was grabbed by Gaara's sand and was given to the guards. Neji took Sakura into her room and gently slammed her face. Her eyes fluttered opened and cough up some blood.

"Damn it! Haruno!" He yelled. "What do you need?"

Sakura tried to seat up and slowly moved her hands to her bag. She grabbed it when Gaara and Ami walked into her room along with the medic with them.

"No, you mustn't move." The medic stated.

"I'm ….a …medic-nin…., I…. know…. What…. I'm…. doing…. " Sakura drawled out longer as she torn into her bag and took out herbs to mix with.

Sakura tried one mixture and seen no results as she tried one more and then a other. She finally tried something different after she had to tell Hyuga-san to mix and how much to use. Since she was now laying in the bed puking her guts out.

Ami helped Sakura changed into something different and even bathed her cleaned and refreshed, than Gaara sand carried her to her room and gave her orders to rest for the night.

The next day, Sakura woke up and yawned as started to check her body from lingering poison that she had last night. She found no more to the poison and got up and did her business as she packed. She opened the door to see Hyuga-san walking her way.

He came up to her and walked her back into her room and shut the door.

"Haruno-san, why did you come into the Chunin exam alone?" His voice asked. His white eyes narrowed on hers, it was as if he was trying to pull out her secrets and making them go into his.

"I'm ready to up a rank and that Tsunade nominated me to do this exam," Sakura uttered to him and continued to say," This is also none of your damn business on me being in the Chunin exam. Hyuga-san." She walked around him and walked towards the door.

This time, she was walking outside and down the walls without no one pulling her or walking her back into a room.

A/N- I hoped you enjoyed this chapter. I might do two or even three stories of mine still at this time. It might be hard and long before an new chapter is up for this story. Sorry about the long wait.
