Hi guys! I had been missing for a year now. Lol. I am sorry. Don't worry I am back now for sure. *grin*. So I have been thinking about what Airrah11 said. I will try to edit and check my past and present tense. Yes, I always have problem when using past and present tense. I am sorry if I confuse any of you in my style of writing. And for Shokubu, yes I just realise it recently after reading some others fanfic and thinking about what you said and reread my story. It's a bit rush and really short for a character pov. Each character does not really had any character development. So I will rewrite the story but don't worry. I will not change much. I will rewrite it but not now so please continue give me support. I hope I do improve a little. So here is the chapter that you have been waiting for. Enjoy!

Zero look at the five hunters in front of him. "Introduce yourself." He said. "Let me start first!" The red hair girl from before raise her hand. "I am Haru and this is my best friend Aki." She pull her Aki closer to her. "Hi! I am Aki. Nice to meet you." Aki said with a cheerful voice. Both Haru and Aki are petite and Aki tied her blonde hair into a ponytail. "I'm Fumio and the one who's wearing spectacle is Eiji and the expressionless guy over here is Taro." The tallest guy in their group introduce himself. "I'm 20 years old by the way." Fumio add. "Nobody ask you Fumio." Haru glance at him. Fumio ignore her. "Taro is the oldest, he is 23 years old and Eiji is 21 years old." Fumio continue. "Me and Aki are 20 years old." Haru smile. "Nobody ask you Haru." Fumio said sarcastically. "Stop copying others Fumio." Aki scold him. Fumio and Aki glare at each other.
"How old are you Kiryu?" Eiji ask Zero curiously. Everyone attention now direct to Zero. "I'm 18. Now you already know each other let's get moving." Zero walk past them leaving the dumbfounded group. "What the fuck? He is younger than all of us! Shit!" Fumio curse. "Well, I actually thought that he will be at least 19 or 20 years old. I never thought that he is still in high school." Haru explain. "Me too. To think that he has the same experienced as the senior hunter really shocked me." Aki continue. "Guys! What are you doing standing there? We should get going." Zero call them. They then follow Zero.
"Why are you not surprised or you just don't show your expression?" Eiji ask Taro. "No, I just happen to know him." "WHAT? You know him?" Fumio ask. "No. I just heard about him from the senior hunter while I walk past them." "What about him?" Fumio keep on asking. "Fumio! Shh..!" Haru stop Fumio from asking. "What is it Haru? Can't you see that I'm asking question here? Don't act like you don't want to know." Haru give an eye contact to Fumio showing him that Zero is looking at them. Fumio shut his mouth and stop asking question. "Stupid." Aki murmur. Fumio glare at her. Aki reply by sticking her tongue out toward Fumio. "Both of you stop it! Stop acting like a child." Eiji warn them. "Tell me everything after this." Fumio whisper to Taro. They get ready after Zero inform them that they arrive at the location. They enter the big castle through the broken gate. The castle is located at the middle of the forest and far away from the city.
"Didn't they say that this is one of the Level E's nest? Why didn't we see any Level E lurking around here?" Fumio ask them after they enter the old castle. "Are we in the correct location?" He ask again. Zero look at him. "We are in the correct location. Lower your voice and be cautious would you? Don't ever lower your guard no matter in any situation." Zero warn them. Suddenly a group of Level E's attacks them and they kill them within second. One of the Level E try to escape and Zero's group follow him. They end up in the basement when Zero put a bullet through the Level E. They were greet by a voice from the dark tunnel. "Welcome Zero to my humble castle." A voice full of sinister greet them. "I have been waiting for you, my dear Zero." Then he chuckle.
Chapter 7: -
Hearing the voice that greet them is certainly bad news. Zero grip his Bloody Rose hard. Looking back at the five young hunters that was assigned to him. Well not that young since their age gap are just one or two years. As a leader it is his duty to protect them. As a senior hunter he was more experienced than them. He had been in the same situation like this before. Vampire calling his name are normal. They are probably another pureblood or vampire aristocrat thrall that came to make him a pet or sex slave for their master.
Damn those bloodsuckers. Zero cursed. Especially when the news about him killing the pureblood that changed him spread. Hiou Shizuka. Hearing her name makes Zero's blood boiled. He was the first Level D that killed his own master. If it was just him alone. Zero would have gone in and would not care if he's injured. He couldn't care less. His wound will just heal faster than an average hunter due to his vampire nature. Well, he might suffered a serious wound but it would not cost his life. At least that is what he thought.
But now five lives is in his hand. If one of them are seriously injured he would be in trouble. This mission is one of the trap that the president of the Hunter Association purposely did. Which hunter in the right mind will make him a leader in the first place? All the senior hunter definitely object it and would not have let their children followed his order. They wanted him dead for sure. If this mission fail. They will have someone to blame it on and no one can do anything. Even Yagari-sensei and the headmaster could not do anything.
"Shouldn't we ask for backup?" Taro ask Zero. He is worried that their situation are getting worse especially the voice that specifically called Zero's name. Every eyes are on Zero. Zero rolled his eyes. Finally someone is asking an important question.
"I already did when you guys are chit chatting just now." Zero brush the ash of the Level E's that he just killed from his shoulder.
"They will be here in 15 minutes or so." Zero add. He look at the dark corridor where the source of the voice calling them. "Get ready. We are going in."
They will need to finish this mission as soon as possible. Zero hopes that they will get out of this situation alive at least until the backup are here.
The corridor lead them into a big room. The room is dark and smells like rotten flesh. The windows are covered by old plank of wood or so it looks like. No doubt to avoid the sun from coming in.
"Everyone be alert." Zero gives order to them.
This is bad. He would have thought of it earlier. They had just walk into a trap. Because of his nature as a vampire Zero can see clearly that in this darkness the whole room are fill with Level E's. He can see the blood and bits of severed hands, legs and other things that he does not want to say it out loud from the ray of light that peak through the little hole from the plank. For him it was nothing but he doubt the rest of the hunters are going to be okay. After all this is still their first official mission. Normally it would just be killing Level E's and they hardly encounter any noble. They were supposed to just identify the Level E's whether they are rogue or controlled and kill them on sight.
He glance back. They don't look good. His grips to Bloody Rose tighten. One hand preparing to take out the knife on his belt. Aki is on the verge of throwing up. Haru doesn't look good either. The other three well let's just say they are trying hard to control themselves.
"Don't tell me what I just step on. I don't want to know what it is." Aki said when she step on something slimy. The smell does not help her. She cover her mouth to prevent something from coming out. Why in the hell did she decide to eat cow intestine today. Aki shakes her head. Regretting the choice she made today.
"I don't want to know it either." Hari pat Aki's in the back. Hoping it will bring some comfort to Aki. She knew that Aki is sensitive to smell since she was small. They had been together since they are in Fujiwara Gakuen.
"I think it was an intestine since it was long and…." Fumio explained despite the warning from the two girls. He kneel down to feel the texture of the innards. "Hey it's just like the delicacy that we ate today!" Fumio exclaimed it excitedly.
"Shut up Fumio! Aki said she doesn't want to know about it!" Damn Fumio with his big mouth. Haru cursed. Her mismatched eyes eyed Aki worrying that she might really throw up this time.
"Knock it off!" Eiji slap Fumio's shoulder. This is not a good time to play around. It's bad enough that they are in the dark. They can't see a thing here. His hunter sense warned him that the amount of Level E inside here are not as what they expected. Taro shakes his head. Their report are going to be bad. Who knows what Zero are going to write about them? Probably something like they are not matured enough to be in an actual mission. Taro feels like he is the only one normal here. He sigh. He can feel Zero tense aura. Any moment now before Zero snap.
"Keep quiet for fuck sake! Where do you think we are now?" Zero shouted.
He could not believe what he was looking at. Fumio is experimenting with the so called innards. Aki trying to control her inside from coming out. Haru trying to comfort Aki. Full-fledged hunter arguing like a child in the middle of the battle. Did they not realise the danger that they are about to get into.
"Welcome to my humble castle. I have been waiting for you Zero-chan. Let me light up the room for you." The sinister voice spoke.
The room was light up by the scattered candle around the room. Judging from the look of the vampire and his attire. Zero hunter sense tells him that the vampire is a Level B. What a Level B doing in a place like this? Zero eyed the man who's wearing a grey suit despite of the horrible place. He look around the room, levels E are scattered in the room. Some are above the ceiling and the wall around them. The young hunters tensed. Weapons ready.
"Oh my, did you bring some snacks with you? They are quite young I must say." The noble vampire chuckled. "Well we can add them up with the snack that I prepared myself." They gasped when they saw a young boy tied up on the bed alive. He was naked. His leg spread wide revealing his private part. His eyes was covered with a white cloth. There are punctured wound on his neck, his chest beside his nipple and his inner thigh. The claw marks around his body, bruises on his hips and ribs. It was bloodied. The smell of sex lingered around. They could not smell them when they entered the room because of the rotten smell that overpowered it. It's not the condition of the human that surprise them but it's the fact that how that boy resembled Zero. He had the same silver hair like Zero.
"Isn't he beautiful? It was hard to find someone that looks like you. The problem was his eyes. Instead of amethyst it was a pale brown so we had to cover them up. Don't want to ruin the mood you see. His silver hair are not as exquisite as yours. His skin are not as milky white as yours." The noble vampire shakes his head feeling disappointed.
"It's a shame actually but my master did enjoyed him though." He continued.
"Looking at you now I must say that you are more beautiful than the rumour, love." The noble vampire eyed him up and down. He lick his lips.
Zero can smell his arousal from the distance. Disgusting bastard. He was too disgust with what he just saw. He could feel that the young hunters behind him does as well.
"My master just left. He wanted to show you how good it was but he had some important business to attend. The whole time he enjoyed him, he imagine it was you." He sneered.
"My master dedicate his whole life looking for your family and finally…" He looks at Zero with passionate gaze. "…he found you."
"Don't you think you talk too much? I am not interested in listening to your story." Aiming his gun at the noble vampire head. Ready to shoot the bloodsucker.
"Your attitude are as predicted! It certainly turn me on." The noble vampire laugh.
"Forgive me for my rudeness. May I introduce myself?" He bowed.
"My name is…." The noble vampire hissed when the anti-vampire bullet hit his arm.
"I don't give a fuck of who you are!" Zero shout. "Why the fuck do all of you keep on talking like you know who the fuck I am? I know myself. I don't need any of you to keep on telling me who I am!" Zero glared at the noble vampire. First Hoshi and May, now some bloodsucker trying to tell him who he is.
All eyes are on Zero. They all feel like confused. This is the first time they ever heard vampire calling hunters names. Furthermore there is that Level E that looks like Zero and the way the noble vampire addressing Zero. It's obvious that he wanted to fuck Zero with the smell of arousal coming from him. Not to mention that Zero himself looks like he is losing his mind here. Aki nudged Haru in the elbow. Haru looks at Aki and lift her shoulder.
The back-up hunter arrived just in time where they can hear Zero shout. There are ten hunters including Yagari. Most of them are the senior hunters. They are nearby when they received Zero's message securing the perimeter in case the mission went wrong. The moment they got in they eliminate all the Level E's except for the one that was tied up on the bed.
"Zero, calm down." Yagari touch Zero's shoulder. He can feel that every muscle on Zero's body tensed. Looking at his student reaction. This is not the first time something like this happen. Some noble vampire just randomly appeared not to mention that disturbing Level E's that looks like Zero just getting fuck in that condition. This is a very organise plan by someone out there. The fact that the Hunter Association received a report by an anonymous regarding the Level E's nest must be connected to them.
There was probably a spy in the Hunter Association that knows Zero's movement. Yagari knows that a lot of the hunters hated Zero for what he is. They wanted him dead but they could not kill him. Everyone knows that Zero was trained under Yagari and he is the current top ranked vampire hunter not to mention that Zero's current guardian is Cross Kaien, the legendary vampire hunter that owned the title of being the Fangless Vampire. As long as they are still alive they will never let anyone in the Hunter Association hurt Zero. Yagari made it clear by showing his affection towards Zero in front of everybody. They are an idiot if they could not read the message. Although hunters and vampires are enemies. He knows that some of them work together. Doing some other illegal business which benefit each other.
"Who do you work for vampire?" Yagari command the noble vampire. The noble vampire ignore him. His focus are on Zero. He need to deliver his master message then head back to inform his master about their situation.
"My master want me to tell you that soon you will be his forever. He will make you feel like heaven and never want to leave." The noble vampire grinned. He jump out of the window and vanished.
"Are you okay kid?" Yagari look at Zero. Zero expression looks empty. "I am fine." His voice was hard and cold. He walks away from Yagari.
"We are heading back to the headquarters. None of you will talk about today until I said so and send me your report by tomorrow morning." Yagari give orders and walk out from the old castle. All the hunters followed him.
Zero stand beside the pool watching the reflection of the moon in the water. His hunter sense grows alert when he feels the presence of a vampire. Zero ignored it because it's familiar. He know who they belong too. The vampire stand beside him.
"Do you like this place Zero?" The vampire ask him.
"It's none of your business vampire!" Zero shout . Can't he just leave him alone? Zero is not in the mood to have a conversation right now. His mind is full of Kaname.
"No need to get so defensive dear one." The older vampire laugh. There is a hint of amusement in his voice. "Didn't I told you to call me by my given name when we are alone?" He lean in and whisper to Zero's ears. Zero flinch. He turned around facing Yusuke when he heard his laughter.
"Are you okay love? Did something happen?" He touch Zero's shoulder. Yusuke looks concern.
"Would you stop calling me that?" Zero feels uncomfortable when the older vampire keep on calling him with affection names.
"Calling you like I care about you? I do care about you Zero." Yusuke confess. "Maybe more than a normal student teacher relationship." He blushed at his own words. Zero froze at the older vampire sudden confession. This is weird. What the fuck is happening?
"I am leaving. I am not in the mood to have this type of conversation with you." He is not ready to talk about things that involves feelings especially after what just happen between him and Kaname. Yusuke try to stop Zero from leaving by pulling his arm. However the force that he use makes Zero's body unbalance. Yusuke try to help Zero but he fell together onto Zero. Clear amethyst eyes lock gaze with the pale grey eyes. Yusuke was stunned by Zero's beauty. His silver hair shines by the moon light. His clear amethyst eyes pierce through his soul as if it saw the dark sin that he committed. His milky white skin looks so soft under the moonlight.
"My love." Yusuke whisper. He touch Zero's cheek and kiss him softly. It was a brief kiss before he slowly move to Zero's jaw and to his neck where Zero's tattoo are. He kiss Zero's neck and lick it slowly. When Zero feel the wet tongue on his skin he punch him in his face and took out his gun ready to shoot the older vampire.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing you son of a bitch!" Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. His eyes turn red. Yusuke woke up from his thought when Zero push him away and punch him. Looking at the amethyst eyes that was replaced by a glowing red eyes. Zero is vamping out of anger. Wide eyes. Yusuke bow down.
"I am so sorry! I am really sorry!" Yusuke looks at Zero with a regret expression. Shit! This is bad. He messed up the plan and lost control of himself. Zero eyeing him up and down. Gun aiming towards Yusuke's heart.
"I was caught up in my thought especially when I look at you up close. Please put down the gun." Yusuke try to explain. He is worried that Zero might fire the gun. He will definitely get badly injured if he get shot by the anti-vampire bullet.
"Just because you saved me once and now you think you owned me!" Zero hissed. All the vampire are the same. First Kaname and now Yusuke. He is not some fucking toy that you can play on. Just because of what he is they all think that they owned him. Zero clutch his hand hard. Another hand focusing his aim.
"You misunderstand. It's just that you look so much like him." Yusuke bites his lips. His eyes unfocused and looks around. He try to reach Zero but Zero step back refuse to let Yusuke come near him. His eyes send a warning. Yusuke nod his head as if he understand.
"I should go." Yusuke turn his back and walk away. Knowing that no matter how he try to explain Zero will not hear him especially when he is like this. He will apologise another time. No matter. The plan will still go on. He will just have to alter it a little. Zero watch the older vampire walk away until he vanish from his sight. He lowered his gun. His hand shaking. How in the world did he end up in this situation?
Why am I recalling this? Zero open his eyes. He wake up rest his head on the headboard. He meet with Yusuke after Yuuki barged in when he and Kaname was about to do it. He was too broken when he ran to the lake. The lake was the only place where he can calm himself. Zero sigh. Moment after he felt a weight on his right side of the bed. Something feels heavy on his right. There is someone beside his bed. Could it be?
"Kana.." Zero's heart fluttered.
"Zero! You are awake."
Zero's heart sank down when the voice calling his name are not the one he expected. He felt like his heart was stabbed. Why would he come? He already choose her. Stupid! After all that had happen. Zero still hoped that Kaname choose him instead of her. Now he know how utterly foolish he is. Zero! Get a hold of yourself. Hoshi is here. Zero look up.
"Yes, Hoshi. You don't need to shout. I can hear you just fine." Zero manage a smile to Hoshi. Hoshi scratch his head and apologise with a wry smile. He knew that Zero was not expecting him. It shows clearly on Zero's face like an open book. The spark in Zero's eyes went dim when he saw him. Kaname that son of bitch. Hoshi cursed. May would have teased the shit out of him if she heard him cursed like that. Hoshi sigh. He shakes his head. Zero really changed him. Now he couldn't control himself. Using vulgar language freely. That was May not him. He was polite and more civilised in using proper words instead of vulgar . Zero is different. It suits him using those word. Thinking about it makes him happy. Hoshi smiled. Memory flashed. The beautiful sight of Zero chest. What in the world. Wake up Hoshi! What is he thinking?
"Are you alright? Your face suddenly turns red." Zero ask out of curiosity when he saw Hoshi blushing face then he saw May sneaking in behind Hoshi. Walk in tip toeing towards Hoshi. She give a signal telling him to keep his mouth shut. Zero nod a little. A small smile formed. It must be fun to have a good relationship with your siblings. His heart ache when he think about Ichiru. He misses him.
"Oh! I am fine. Thank you for asking." Hoshi laugh awkwardly. He touch his left ear. It was one of his habit when he feel nervous. He couldn't look Zero in the eyes especially when Zero is half naked. Zero is only wearing his pants. If Zero know what he was thinking he is dead for sure. He does not realise that May are behind his back and lean into his ears.
"Huhuhu. Hoshi you pervert." Hoshi jumped when he heard a whisper in his ear. "May! What the hell do you think you are doing?" May shakes her head. "Language brother. I thought you were the civilised one." She grins.
"Did you get hard thinking about it?" May mouth the word to Hoshi. She laugh at the look of horror on Hoshi's face. She laugh even harder when her brother's face turns redder making him looking like he was just smacked right in the face. Hoshi look back at Zero. Studying his face fearing that he might have heard what May said.
