Sakura yawned as she got up and got ready for the day. She was suppose to meet up with the girls at the school pool today, and from the look of it, is was going to be a great day for swimming. Ten minutes passed, before another ten went by, and soon, the pinkette was ready.
" I wonder if Ochaco is there yet." The girl mused to herself as she started to make her way to school.
She turned a corner and then another, before finally, she was standing in front of the school's gate. At the base was Uraraka along with the other girl waiting for Sakura. Upon seeing them, the pinkette ran over.
" Afternoon everyone!" Sakura sang as they made their way to the locker room.
" -Ribbit- morning, Sakura-chan." Asui greeted back, followed by the other greetings from the rest of the girls.
Given to them by the school was the one piece swimsuit, and although it wasn't attractive, it was comfortable. Once they all finished, they headed to the pool and set their stuff on the ground, including their sun screen.
" Eh? The boys are also here?" Uraraka asked when she spotted some of them on the opposite side.
" I think they're here for some -ribbit- sort of training purposes." Asui shrugged her shoulders.
Sakura looked over and spotted Todoroki along with the others. She waved at the boy, to which he slightly waved back. The pinkette then stood up straighter and reached for her toes. " Come on you guys, we need to stretch before going in."
Just as the pinkette came back up, Kaminari and Mineta came bursting through the door. When the two boys saw them, they seemed to be disappointed by their attire, but the girls only brushed it off.
" What are you guys even doing here?" Jiro asked, knowing full well Mineta and Kaminari wasn't here for training purposes.
While the boys continued on with their endurance training, the girls entered the water and played around. Yaoyorozu had brought a beach ball and they started to passed it around. However, after some time, it got boring and they all sat on the edge of the pool, their feet dipped in.
" It's kinda boring, just passing a ball around." Jiro confessed. " Why don't we do something lively and that actual gets our blood pumping?"
Ashido clapped her hands. " Why not? We could use our Quirks to do something fun!"
" I know! I could make us some water guns, and if you fall into the pool because of someone else's water gun or because someone tossed you in, you have limited space." Yaoyorozu suggested. " Those in the pool have to try to get the others in with them as well, that way everyone has something to do."
Sakura grinned. " Good idea. I call truce with Ochaco!"
" Then I call truce with Mina!" Hagakure declared, and from there, they waited for Yaoyorozu to create the seven water guns.
" The hell is going on?" A voice demanded to know, to which Sakura whipped her head over to them and walked over. " Like hell I'll lose to a damn nerd like you, Deku!"
Sakura smiled widely as she held a hand out in front of Bakugou to stop him from attacking Midoriya. She laughed at the vibe the blonde gave off, but it didn't stop the declaration of a competition from Bakugou's mouth.
From across the pool, Uraraka called out for the pinkette. " Sakura-chan, they're gone! Come on, we're going to wipe the floor with them!"
" Coming!" Sakura replied as she shot Bakugou a smile. " You're going to win the competition, right?"
" Of course I am." Bakugou smirked at her. " You just wait and see."
Sakura sighed at the look of evil on the blonde's face and gave Midoriya a sympathetic smile. She got back to the girls and received her water gun. Attacked to the toy by a cord was tanks filled with water. Yaoyorozu explained they could latched the tanks on their legs, arms, or wear them like a backpack.
" Since the boys are doing a race on their side of the pool, make sure not to fall in over there." Yaoyorozu advice.
The pinkette latched the tanks on her right leg and turned around, a grin on her face. " Ready, set, shoot!"
Sakura jumped into the air to avoid a stream of water as she positioned her gun. Believing that it was close enough, the pinkette pulled the trigger, her water gun pointing at Jiro's back. However, Yaoyorozu suddenly appeared and created a water proof blanket while Asui used her tongue to pull Jiro as well as Yaoyorozu out right on time.
" So that's how you want to play it." Sakura grinned as she kept her eyes on the other teams while she regrouped with Uraraka, their back facing each other. " Ochaco, now!"
The brunette tagged her partner with one hand while the other was on the trigger, causing the pinkette to start floating. With the place where Sakura once stood empty, Uraraka sent a stream of water at Hagakure and Ashido.
Meanwhile, Sakura had the advantage from above. Realizing it was only a water of time before she started going too high up, the pinkette blasted her water gun, creating a veil of water that the other girls had to dodge.
" Sakura-chan, I have to bring you down now!" Uraraka warned as she closed her fingers in.
" Wait!" Sakura shouted as she scanned where exactly would be the perfect place to land. " Okay, now!"
The pinkette landed on the shelter that provided shade for the boys. Sakura aimed her water gun toward Asui since the frog-like girl had the most advantage with water. However, her shot was easily dodged and was returned.
Sakura jumped off the shelter and landed in a crouch. She position her water gun, supporting it with her shoulder and pulled the trigger. However, a sudden blast of water stopped her short. She tried to see who it was but the water made it impossible.
Suddenly, the amount of water hitting the pinkette doubled, telling Sakura that there was more then just one person. However, soon, there was no water flying toward Sakura. She looked up to see that Uraraka had came to her rescue.
" When did I move to the edge?" Sakura said in shock when she realized where she was standing. While being targeted, the pinkette didn't even notice herself taking steps backward and toward the pool.
" Sakura-chan!" Shouted Uraraka. " Help!"
The said girl looked up to see the brunette only inches from the edge of the pool. Just as Sakura was about to run over, she felt a push from the back even though there was no one. The pinkette quickly concluded it was Hagakure's doing. Sakura went falling backward into the pool, however, she quickly change her position and was now standing as if on solid ground, her eyes glowing green.
" Eh!?" Came Hagakure's pouty voice. " No fair, Sakura-chan can walk on water!"
" Wanna join me?" Sakura asked with a sly smile. She reached for where the voice was coming from, and before she knew it, someone invisible had fallen in where the pinkette should've been.
A loud splash could be heard, followed by some movement in the water. " I'll make you sorry for that, Sakura-chan!"
The pinkette laughed as she ran away and toward Uraraka who was still trying to hang on. When Sakura reached her partner, she ran past the group of girls, grabbing the brunette on the way.
" Lets end this now." Sakura grinned as she got ready to boost Uraraka into air with her hands.
Uraraka bounced off of the pinkette's hand and into the air. While the brunette fired her water gun in the air, Sakura turned toward the pool, ready to jump onto the other side to meet Ashido and Jiro while Uraraka took care of Yaoyorozu and Asui.
When Sakura's eyes started glowing green, she bent her legs, ready to jump. But, just as she launched into the air, she came crashing down into the water, the glow of her eyes gone. The pinkette gasped for air was she swam over to the edge.
" Mr. Aizawa!" Sakura complained as she twisted her hair, squeezing the water out.
The said pro walked out and scanned the area. Pond of water were scattered on the ground, the girls all had water guns in their hands, and the boy were complaining about how things were just getting good for their competition.
Aizawa flashed his eyes red, silencing his class. " Your pool time is up. Hurry up and go home before the sun fully sets."
Uraraka pulled Sakura to her feet, her water gun out of water. " Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, right Sakura-chan? We should do this some other times."
" Fuck!" Bakugou's voice rang throughout the area once Aizawa had left them to clean up and get dress to leave. " Why'd he have to stop it right now?! I was going to win and show Half-and-Half and Deku who was the best!"
At the same time, Sakura and Uraraka passed the blonde boy. The pinkette bumped her shoulder with Bakugou as she walked passed him, a smile on her face. " Cocky aren't you, Firecracker? Didn't you tell me you were going to win?"
" Dammit Bubblegum!" Bakugou shouted as he jumped back into the pool. Without using his Quirk, he reached the other side before walking back to the pinkette. " There, I finished the race and came in first."
Sakura sighed as she took out her towel and placed it on Bakugou's head, gently rubbing it. " Yes, you won. I knew you were going to jump back in if I reminded you of your words."
The pinkette walked away, her towel still on Bakugou's head. Mineta and Kaminari stared jealously at the towel, questioning why the demonic boy always got the pinkette's attention and affection, causing Bakugou to threaten them with their lives.
" You and Bakugou seem to be closer then before." Uraraka pointed out once they were in the changing room. " You seem to like him even over then Deku."
The pinkette hummed as she slipped into an oversized shirt. " It's because he's special." Sakura stopped moving once she had realized what she had said. " I-I mean it's because...you know what, so what if I like him? I like the blond demon in class, everyone!"
The other girls looked at each other and raised an eyebrow. Ashido was the first the break the sudden silence that had came. " Sakura-chan, are you sure? You're like, well, nice while Bakugou is an angry blob of explosions. Come to think of it, you seem to also have a temper as well."
" Bakugou's an angry demon." Jiro pointed out.
" Yeah, well, maybe I want someone who's a demon." Sakura mumbled, her face hidden in her backpack, trying to hide her redden cheeks. " I don't even know anymore. He just means a lot to me."
" I'll support you, Sakura-chan!" Hagakure cheered as she jumped on the pinkette and hugged her.
Uraraka was the next to voice her opinion. " If he hurts you, I'll kill him." The brunette then embraced Sakura around the waist. " But I doubt it'll come to that."
" I've always thought it would've been you and Todoroki." Jiro commented as she held onto Sakura hand. " You cheered for him, saying his Quirk was his own during the sports festival. But I guess I should've seen this coming, you and Bakugou are really close."
Ashido grinned widely as she cupped the pinkette's face. " You're not the shy type. For you to be this way means you're scare to admit it to him."
" Don't worry." Yaoyorozu added on. " The boys on the other side couldn't have heard us. Your secret is safe with us until you decide otherwise. We're with you on this, we'll cheer you on."
Sakura looked up from her backpack and smiled. " Thanks you guys. Now I know where to go if he breaks my heart. But can you guys let go now? My legs are tired from holding us up."
The girls got off Sakura, and when they came out of the locker room, they all acted as if nothing had happened. Everything was normal. Everyone went their separate ways when they reached the school gate and headed home.
Sakura placed a hand on her heart as she turned and saw the retreating back of the other girls. They had become her friends, her pillar, and her support. The pinkette was going to make sure she returned the feeling she felt today to them one day
Once she had made it back home, it was only now that Sakura remembered she needed to pack again, this time for the summer training camp. Just as Sakura finished placing in her toothbrush, she remembered the stuff she and Bakugou had bought at the mall.
" I'm pretty sure he still has them. I'll give him a call." Sakura said to herself as she took out her phone and called Bakugou. " Hey Firecracker? Do you still have the things we had bought at the mall?"
" Of course. Why? Are you packing now?" Came Bakugou replied.
The pinkette, with one hand holding her phone and the other placing other necessity inside her pack, hummed in answer. " Aren't you as well?"
Sakura could hear the blonde's movement, and from it she could tell he was getting a glass of water. " Finished days ago. This training camp is going to help me become the next number one hero. No matter who they are, I won't let them in my way."
" What about me?" Sakura questioned. " What if I was to challenge your dream and take it from you?"
" Then we'll fight." Was Bakugou's answer. " We can't have two number one hero in the world. There can only be one and that's going to be me."
Sakura let out a soft laugh, realizing that Bakugou's passion was one of the things she liked about him. " We'll see."
Suddenly, the pinkette could hear Bakugou taking something out of the laundry. " By the way, I still have the towel you gave to me today. I'll give it back to you tomorrow at school, okay?"
" It's okay, you can just keep it."
" Ah shit, Kirishima's calling me." The blonde suddenly said. " I'll just call him back later."
Sakura closed her package as she finished up. " Nah, go ahead and take his call. I need to do something tonight so we can just end the call now. Bye Firecracker, see you tomorrow."
Bakugou bid the girl a slow good-bye, taking his time to not end the call just yet. However, once the call had ended, the pinkette got up from where she was sitting and stretched out her legs and arms. Perhaps she should confess soon. Yeah right, Like that was going to happen any time soon.
One thing was for sure though, Sakura really did have something she wanted to try out. The girl walked over to her backyard and sat down, remembering the feeling she had back at I-Island when she had used Enchantment
The feeling of it was still there, and something told Sakura that Inner had left it on purpose. With having use it before, Sakura was confident that she could regain the taste once more.
" It went something like this." The pinkette mumbled to herself as she pressed her fingertips together. " And then the energy on me was transfer to All Might and Deku. But how did that happen? it was so easy back then."
" Why don't you try something different." Inner suddenly appeared. " It was my doing on the island. For you, you will have to do something else to somehow transfer the energy. What is a solid foundation that everyone is connected on?"
Sakura thought for a moment before answering. " The ground."
" Exactly. Now use that hint to your advantage."
To say Sakura got the answer right away was a lie. The girl was more confuse then every. And it didn't help that because she had yet to unlock the seal, the energy she had been storing was not to her disposal just yet. But the hint gave the pinkette an idea.
" To transfer the energy through the ground." Sakura repeated to herself as she got down on her knees.
Sakura then placed both her hand on the ground, her palm flat on the grass. She couldn't try out if her idea was going to work so instead the pinkette worked on her form for when she finally got the hang of it.
Suddenly, the pinkette threw herself backward so she was looking up on at the sky with her back on the ground. Her Quirk was just so complicated. But then again, if it was simple, as in if Sakura had just left the energy alone for it to swirl around, she wouldn't have come this far.
" Thank you." Sakura found herself saying to the night sky. " To Lady Tsuande and All Might. To Class 1-A. And to Deku who inspire me."
Sakura got back up and went back into the house. She did her usual night routine, and she came out with a towel after showing. When she passed the box wit her acceptance letter, she took out the journal from Tsuande and placed it in her luggage.
" It's time to work harder." Sakura whispered to herself as sat on her bed and plugged in the hair drier.
Once it was on, the pinkette proceeded to dry her hair before she went to bed. Of course, due to the thought of the training camp though, Sakura had much trouble going to sleep.
It always had been like this for her. Whether is was not being able to go to sleep because of something she regretted during the day or because of an event she was looking forward to, she just couldn't close her eyes and go to sleep.
" Maybe a light reading will do the trick." Sakura said as she pulled out a book from behind her pillow and started reading.
And just as she had hope, her eyes started to stay stay close longer when she was blinking. Finally, the pinkette yawned, closed her lamp, placed her book back where she gotten it, and went to sleep.
