Timeless Chapter 7: Childish!

Sesshoumaru had become a snotty little brat. Well in Kagome's opinion anyways.

"I don't have to listen to you Sessho!" Kagome yelled once more glaring at the young prince who ignored her cries.

"You would learn well miko. All you must do is listen to this Sesshoumaru. Promise to never leave my side again and I will take you to see mother. " Sesshoumaru walked to the nearest town not even flinching as the miko struggled in his hold.

"I can find her myself you little brat." Kagome growled and was tossed onto her ass. The young miko glared up at the demon prince who only smirked in response.

"This Sesshoumaru is no brat miko. You should learn where your place is." Sesshoumaru spoke ice in his tone.

Kagome huffed and stood up.

"My place is where I decide, not you or your father or anybody else can choose that for me." The irate miko stormed off into the village prepared to ask about the former lady of the lands.

Sesshoumaru lazily followed after his angry miko. He would help her seek out his mother. For he too had some questions to ask.

The miko surely had a magnetic personality. She had won over a traveling demon merchant whom had information on where the castle in the sky would lie.

As the pair was preparing to leave the village they were stopped by members of the royal guard.

Sesshomaru stepped forward and spoke. "Who dares to block my path." He spoke causing some guards to step back in fear. Sesshoumaru had quickly lived up to his name in the years of Kagome's absesnce. He had become cold, harsh ,demanding and trained all for the reason to surpass his own father.

He had proved himself very worthy of his namesake. With Kagome gone, the young pup's own mother was once again banished. He had lived by the rule of his father once more. It was harsh after the miko's departure. His father had only become kinder since the arrival of his second mate, the human princess.

His father had been so careful to not get his past lovers bred. Yet he had gotten this woman with child. His father had told him to keep from his half brother and the princess and had kept him at his second shiro.

Sesshoumaru had thus far complied. He only refused to aid his father in the battle that had only just passed. The Princess was supposed to be wed to the general whom tried to kill them all. Sesshoumaru knew that woman was honor-bound to become that humans bride, yet his father stole her away only igniting the situation further.

A guard stepped forward and spoke. "The lord of the western lands seeks his son and savior to meet to new prince of the western lands. " Sesshoumaru growled low in his throat.

Kagome snickered and spoke surprising everyone with venom in her voice. "Tell that overgrown dog we don't want to."

Sesshoumaru stepped back and laid a hand onto the mikos shoulder. "This is a request decreed by my father. He is the lord of these lands, these guards must either force us before him or we must strike them all down. It is an insult to refuse this invitation. " Sesshoumaru spoke making the miko sigh.

"Not even a week here and your father is still an annoying old grouch." Kagome said stopping off toward the soldiers.

Tension seeped out of the guards as Sesshoumaru followed closely behind the miko.

Then all hell broke loose when the miko and demon prince sprinted off past the unsuspecting guards.

"Quickly, after them you fools!" One guard spoke as the duo was chased.
