It was silent in the dining hall. Everyone took their meal together at the grand table in the middle of the hall like always and it was delicious. But nobody could really enjoy their meal because they knew something was off. Since a week Morgiana has been acting kinda weird and Alibaba's mood was totally down. He wasn't the sunny-boy idiot who always smiled and laughed everywhere they saw him. They supposed it was because since the festival the Fanalis has been avoiding her close friend. They didn't know why and everybody could see how obvious they were. It was like seeing through a glass without knowing what's beyond. But how could they fix their awkward situation and how could they get to know what caused this situation?
"HAAA!" Yamuraiha shouted when Alibaba and then Morgiana left the dining hall and were out of reach to hear her desperate screaming. Then she threw away her fork in Sharrkan's direction, unintentionally, and ruffled her baby blue hair. "I wanna know so badly! What the hell happened between them?"
"Shut up!" The tan Heliohapt's prince who could briefly dodge the flying fork screamed. "Don't try to kill me with a fork, you crazy mage!" He stood up and hit on the table with the palm of his hand. "We all want to know that! But Alibaba was totally drunk… by the way not because of me!... and doesn't remember anything that happened. There's nothing we can do."
"It's such a pity…" Pisti sighed putting a cherry into her mouth. "He must have done something really grave for her to ignore him… maybe something nasty… hehehe…"
"Maybe we can travel back to the past with magic to see…" Aladdin mumbled while gulping down his food. When he imagined how it would be like if he met his past self he grinned and laughed wickedly.
"Well, you kids are too curious." Hinahoho laughed causing the plates and cutlery to shake. "They will reconcile again before we know it. There's no need to worry."
"It's not that we don't believe that they could reconcile without our help…" Yamuraiha stated slurping down the milk in her coconut. "It's just…"
"We want to damn know what Alibaba and Morgiana did in the night of the festival!" Sharrkan shouted in despair.
"Ah!" The little pet tamer suddenly squeaked letting her spoon fall down to the ground. "C-can't Yamuraiha's magic show us their memories or something that like?!" She suggested in excitement.
"Yeah! Like that incident with Sinbad and Princess Kogyoku." Sharrkan added with his eyes wide open.
"Well… I could use their rukh to show us what happened…" The mage thought aloud while biting on her thumbnail. "But I can't possibly use magic for something like this… it feels wrong."
"WHY?!" Everyone asked in sync as if the survival of humanity was on the line.
"Just do it!" The huge man from Imuchakk demanded.
"Heeeh, I thought you said that there's no need." Pisti smirked evilly at which Hinahoho only responded with a slight shy smile scratching his cheek. "Whatever Alibaba and Morgiana are in some kind of troubles, right?" Pisti persistently tried to convince Yumaraiha. "We are their friends. We only worry about them. Therefore we want to know to help them figure things out or hook them up to reconcile."
"Yes!" Sharrkan joined in. "Our curiosity only serve for the purpose of helping them. We don't have any kind of impure thoughts in our heart… whatever just do it!"
"You are right! …but still…" Yamuraiha hesitated. She absolutely wanted to know about that night but she promised to Morgamett that she would only use magic for good.
"Yamu…" Aladdin said kindly with some kind of smile that expressed how much he wanted to know and he didn't care that magic should only be used for good. "Let's do it for our friends." And for us, but that he didn't need to say.
"Alibaba! Alibaba!" The voices of Aladdin and Sharrkan calling his name aloud and in full excitement buzzed through his head as he walked down the big palace hallway. He saw them approaching him quickly with faces which couldn't hold in any longer of what they wanted to tell him. He wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone right now. Well, he wasn't in the mood for anything. The only thing he did was sitting around and glooming over some rosy haired girl. But hey! It felt like it was just his first love that slipped off his hands. Whatever, he walked at his own pace towards them and awaited what they'd have to say to him. "Alibaba! Alibaba!" When they finally reached him they were already outta breath and couldn't speak normally. "Ali… baba!"
"I get it already…" The blond prince sighed. "Stop calling my name all the time it's freaking annoying. What's going on?"
"You know… about the day… of the festival!" Sharrkan began to talk with heavy breathing supporting his body with his hands on his knees.
"We know why… Morg is avoiding y-you…" Aladdin continued also breathing hard.
"Don't you guys… want to drink something first?" Alibaba suggest while looking at the two of them with a skeptical glare. But Aladdin wouldn't let him have another thought. He was too eager to tell him what has been kept a secret to him for too long. After all he had the right to know and the right to fix his awkward relationship with Morg.
"You kissed Morg, Alibaba!" Aladdin blurted out after taking a deep breath awaiting the reaction of his king's candidate who was pretty much shocked more than he ever was. Therefore a moment of silence fell upon them. Alibaba stared at his little friend in disbelieve while his mind went blank. The words flew around his head while he couldn't grasp their meaning. Kiss, Morg, You, Alibaba, Morg, Kiss… But after a while he finally snapped and his brain could figure out what Aladdin said.
"WHAAAAT?" And screamed with all his might with his face turning bright red by the imagination of him kissing his crush. "H-How do you guys know about that? I don't remember that you were there!"
"Well… uh, Yamuraiha saw you… and you don't remember a thing anyway." Sharrkan bluffed it out. It wasn't exactly a lie that Yamu saw them, right?
"Why didn't you tell me sooner? I mean it's been a week since she ignored me." He's been thinking so hard these days as if his head's gonna explode. And he felt really down because the girl he likes was avoiding him for something he couldn't remember. There was no way out by himself. "I was totally confused and dejected…"
"We thought of letting you guys settle this on your own but we couldn't stand it anymore seeing you like this." Aladdin kinda explained. But it wasn't enough for him. His friends kept a secret from him that could solve all his problems if he knew.
"I still can't believe it …I would never do such a thing to her…" He persuaded himself trying to kick off that feeling of guilt, anger and despair.
"That is if you were sober." And Sharrkan was no help at all. Alibaba felt the anger occupying his mind making him want to hit someone. But he knew he couldn't take it out on them since it was his fault and a part of Sharrkan's that he acted like an idiot. "I'm sorry I got you drunk… but hey! You kissed the girl that you like, dude. Congrats!"
"Don't joke around! This is serious. I don't remember a thing! Except for the fact that my whole body hurt the morning after that incident. I guess she hit me real hard and-"
"Alibaba!" Aladdin interrupted his friend trying to encourage him. He knew it's going to be okay. It's Alibaba after all. A kind, courageous and strong man. His best friend, comrade and family. There's nothing that Alibaba can't do. "Don't let it get you down. I think you and Morg suit each other very well."
"And if she doesn't feel the same? Maybe she hates me now after what I did."
"That's impossible." The little magi said with a soft and kind voice. "Regain your old self-confidence and talk to her properly."
"Morgiana!" The rosy haired girl turned around to face the people calling her. She already recognized them by the sound of their voices and greeted them with a shy smile. At a time like this she didn't want to see anyone. She was too confused and and distracted to properly do anything. Eating, sleeping, training. everything. She couldn't do anything like always anymore. Every time she tried to forget she remembered even more. The way he touched her, the way his lips felt, how hot her cheeks were and all the feelings lingering in her. Even though she wanted to share them with her friends she didn't feel ready yet. But it seems like she will after all they're Yamuraiha and Pisti. "Were you about to go to the bath?" The two of them asked in sync when they saw her holding a towel and clean clothes.
"Yes, I wanted to use the big communal-bath." Morgiana answered politely in the sweetest way as always seeing that the two of them also held a towol and clothes in their arms. She knew they wouldn't let her just go off with that therefore she invited them to hustle things on. "Would you like to join me?"
"Of course! The big bath is the best spot for girl's talk." Pisti squealed and ran first towards the bath making her friends following her.
"Really? I never thought of it that way." The Fanalis mentioned amazed trying to keep up with the lively little woman who was unbelievably older than her.
"Yes it is. I mean big relaxing bath with your best girlfriends. No one around to disturb you. It's the best place." Pisti explained while ripping off the door. She couldn't wait to let her body into the warm, pleasant water.
"I see." Morgiana whispered. They surely wanted to talk to her about that matter that's bothering anyone. Though no one has mentioned it yet it's clearly visible to her that they were curious about that incident with Alibaba. "Is there anything in particular you want to talk about?"
"Well, there is." Yamuraiha answered. After letting her cloths slide down her body she put them neatly in a basket from the changing room in front of the bath.
"And it's about you." Unlike Pisti who just threw her clothes to the direction of her basket without any care if they'd actually land into the basket or not. And then she jumps into the bath causing great noise and splattering.
"You see, we have noticed something." The magician continued when she and the Fanalis also went into the warm water of the bath.
"What do you mean?" Morgiana knew very well what they meant. But she didn't want them to know anything about it. It's better for her to keep things hidden. She thought. But they already knew and they wouldn't let go of it unless she told them herself.
"Lately you've been avoiding Alibaba, haven't you?" The blue haired woman asked rhetorically while trying to splash some water at Pisti signalizing her to come to them.
"No… I didn't! …I just don't see or talk to him very much…" The rosy haired girl claimed her face turning slightly pink matching the color of her hair.
"That's the same as avoiding, Morg." Pisti mentioned when she finally joined the girl's talk.
"It's just complicated… I don't want to say any more about it." Morgiana tried to avoid this topic. "By the way, what about you and Sh-"
"You mustn't say anything dear…" But she was interrupted by a worrying Yamuraiha. She wanted to clear things slowly and calm.
"We know Alibaba kissed you." But Pisti just spilled the beans causing Morg's face to turn into a tomato.
"H-how?" She asked confused. She was utterly convinced that no one was near when that happened.
"U-um… Sharrkan saw it… when he searched you two… and saw…" Yamuraiha said hesitantly trying to come up with a good excuse.
"B-but my Fanalis instincts must have noticed him…"
"Well… I guess you were so confused with Alibaba… that your instincts took a break or something that like." Pisti said still swimming without any care in the world through the pleasant water.
"What should I do?" Morgiana sighed. Not knowing how to get out of this unwanted conversation anymore she gave in and shared her thoughts with the two females of Sinbad's eight generals. "I don't understand my feelings and thoughts anymore. And I don't know what to say or how to behave around him. He was pretty drunk and forgot about that incident…" A slight sigh escaped her throat causing her last words to sound miserable. "But I can't forget."
"It's okay. You will soon figure it out and the two of you will reconcile again." The magician tried to encourage her friend. She believed that everything's going to be alright again.
"Yeah, there's no way that you can be apart for a long time. Since the two of you have-" The pet tamer wanted to say mutual feelings for each other.
"Pisti!" But she was interrupted by Yamuraiha who wanted them to realize their feelings themselves without much meddling from outside.
"What do we have?" The confused Fanalis girl asked.
"Um… a strong bond friendship… family... love..." Pisti mumbled.
"I see." The rosy haired girl seemed relieved. Now that she has finally talked to her friends. The problems seemed to be erased. Still there's something she has to do but now she feels much more secure. Talking to Alibaba didn't seem to be as frightening as it was before. She felt as if she gained the courage to properly talk to him and get things straight since she too wanted to reconcile with him again. Ignoring him was kinda like losing a good friend and she left somewhat lonely without speaking to him. "I think I now have the courage to talk to him properly. Maybe…"
