Chapter 7

Elsa POV

It was hard the last few days seeing Anna avoid me. She looked miserable, the Anna that I think I knew wasn't there anymore. At the same time though, I couldn't blame her for wanting to avoid me. I'm not a normal human and when disgust is the emotion on her face, it is the proper one she should feel towards me.

"Elsa?" The voice belonged to my boss, Rapunzel.

"Hey Zee."

Her arms were crossed, "Are you okay? You have been spacing out a lot lately."

I was able to feel her eyes making their way through my emotional wall, I guess I tried to build, "Yeah I'm fine."

"You're lying tell me the truth or I will make a mascot, get a suit, and you will dance to advertise my store."

"Ugh…" I sat on the table with knitted sweaters. "Well I'm not sure how to phrase this but my girlfr- my friend I think has something going on."

"Would I happen to know this friend?"

"I'm not sure her name is Anna."

Zee's eyes widened, "Oh shit Elsa."

My eyes scanned her face for something but I couldn't, "What?!"

"Let's go get a drink… we can carpool in my car. Come on."

"What do you lovely ladies want to have?" The man looked drunk already, maybe like a leprechaun with a white beard instead of red.

"Elsa," fingers snapped in front of my face, "Come on, I already ordered."

"A Jack and coke please."

"Wow you like the strong stuff huh?" I playfully shrugged, "Well just to make sure, we are talking about Anna Summers right?"

"Yeah…"

Our drinks arrived and she took a big sip of hers, "Well her and I were really good friends in high school. She used to hang out with the popular girls I guess you could call them. Surprised I wasn't one of them?"

I took a sip of mine through the thin red straws, "Yeah actually."

She chuckled, "Well I wasn't because they were all assholes to everybody. Sure it would have been easy to slip in and bully everyone but that's not me."

"That doesn't seem like Anna though either and she was part of that?"

"Yup but you see they didn't like people who were different," Damn what will she think of me? "But I don't really know the details but they kinda kicked her out. They swore she was a lesbian, so they told her father and they never talked to her again. Especially after her episode."

"Episode?"

She nodded, "Yeah, she was gone for about a week but when she came back, Anna Summers was a different person. She looked so scared, like the ones she used to make fun of, and in the middle of the hall she crumbled to the floor and began to cry."

I finished my drink already, "Zee, that's awful."

"Well everyone was just standing around, I went to her and took her to the restroom. When we got there she looked at me like I was some sort of monster. I knew at that moment she was alone, so I didn't give up on being with her. Eventually about a few days she opened up to me but what was strange she never made eye contact with me, like she wanted to avoid looking at me. Then she told me how grateful she was and all of that gooey stuff, but after that was when she told me the hard shit. Can we get refills please?" She waved to the bartender.

"She said she went to conversion therapy, which answered my question of why she can't look at me. She told me about her brother who was going to leave for college soon and how her dad begun to drink. At that point I knew the pampered and conceited girl understood what it was like to be in the opposite position.

"But damn she seemed to never give up though. Her fear of girls faded within the week and I couldn't be prouder to call her my friend, which she told me in return. So besides our friendship, I'm guessing Anna is going through that again, just give her some time and she will be back."

Zee laughed, "Honestly stronger, she will be stronger this time. I loved that girl."

"I don't even know what to say to that," I saw her shiver and I realized I made the room temperature fall.

Her hand reached over to mine, "Don't give up on her. I know if you had something similar she would never give up on you."

Since my meeting with Rapunzel, I was able to understand Anna's reasoning behind her actions. One thing that threw me off was Anna has been gone for two days. I was beginning to worry but I couldn't just stop going to the diner every night in case she wants to open up eventually.

My heart lifted when I saw her walk in and I also saw who dropped her off, Hans. I swear I wanted to get up and hurt him but I would never do that to Anna showing her the monster inside of me. Then my heart dropped.

I don't think I could have ran any faster than I did, I caught Anna right before she hit the ground. She looked so sick and pale, her freckles stood out and-

"Elsa?" I missed the way she said my name.

"Anna are you okay?" I couldn't hide the concern I had for her at this moment, she felt so fragile.

Her eyes slowly opened and she looked deeply into mine, then they were closed again as if she was in pain.

"I'm fine get off me." Her words were so sharp, I almost cried at that moment seeing her broken, my Anna gone. "I'm really fine Elsa. I'll go home early."

I didn't want her to go back to that hell house, "Alright. Be safe."

She didn't look at me, " 'kay…" and she walked out the door to wait in the cold for her ride. I wanted to walk up to her and give her a ride myself but I'll give her some time and space.

The same thing that happened the other night happened the next one. No eye contact avoiding me as much as possible. I finally understood how Zee felt when Anna was pushing her away.

What worried me the most was she disappeared for three days instead of the usual two. I saw her car drive up but it wasn't Hans in the car, it was a lady. She had similar features to Anna, the red hair and a face that showed pure happiness. I then realized Anna had the same look, happy.

My heart was pounding when she walked in. Anna's eyes looked brighter than they used to be, not the ones I saw when we first met but I was grateful anyway. Her face turned green and she ran off to the restroom. I took a deep breath and went to follow her, but a soft hand grabbed my arm. It was the lady's hand.

"My name is Camillia. I'm Anna's mother. Elsa right?"

"Yes ma'am," why would her mother be here?

"Well I think we should talk," she had a smile that was sad but at the same time happy.

"O-okay, I just ordered a coke do you want anything?"

Camillia nodded, "You are very polite, thank you, but I'll probably just have a water. Well let's sit down Anna wanted us to talk to you together but she is still sick."

Sick? "What do you mean? Is she getting better?"

"Not that kind of sick. She is going through a tough stage in her therapy, conversion therapy I should say."

"Oh yeah… my friend was telling me about that."

"Rapunzel? Yes she is one Anna's closest friends, you are one of them so you know." I felt my eyes sting the tears begging to come out. "From what I understand, you come here everyday?"

I turned red, "Yeah sorry, I know its kinda creepy. I can stop if you want me to, I was just concerned about Anna and I didn't want to give up on her. It was just in case she wanted to open up or ask for my help."

"You are good for her. I'm glad she found someone like you. Well Anna will get through this, she is really something else," Camillia laughed when she said that.

I laughed along with her, "Yeah she is. Wait what about-"

She took my hand, "I know you saw what happened that day and I knew it was something I should have done many years ago, I turned them in. They won't bother her anymore."

"So you're okay with- our um relationship?" I stammered.

"Yes of course, sweetheart. Some days she would come home happy and full of life, I knew at that point she has found the happiness I wanted her to have. When you dropped her off that day, I saw you cry and you stayed parked for a long time, I knew you were the one she found it in. Well I believe you need to go in there, she will need you."

I felt tears of joy for Anna and her mother, so I got up and made my way to the restroom.

"Anna?" The stall doors creaked open and Anna was hunched over the toilet.

She wiped her mouth and smiled, it was a little strange because she smiled at the ground but I knew it was for me, "Hey gorgeous."

I let my tears fall, "H-how are you feeling? I'm sorry don't answer that, it was a stupid question, you are obviously feeling like shit."

"Are you seriously crying, Elsa?" She began to laugh and looked up to me, her eyes were red and swollen from the nausea. Her face went pale again and she was throwing up again.

I took a step towards her and knelt down. My hand was slowly making its way to her back, she flinched a bit, "Is this okay?"

Anna sighed, "Yes it feels amazing. Your hands feel good."

I smiled, "Alright. I'll keep it here. I'm not going anywhere." I will stay here in Arendelle with you forever.

"Elsa can you help me up?"

"Oh yes of course!" I put my hand on her elbow and lifted her on her feet.

"Can I lean on you? My legs are kinda weak at the moment," Anna chuckled embarrassed.

I made a bold move and kissed the top of her sweaty forehead, but I didn't care, "You can do anything you want, Anna."

"Anything huh? And once again, your lips feel good on my forehead, they are so cold but a good cold."

"Sorry."

Anna punched my shoulder weakly, "I just said it feels good gorgeous! I'm really thirsty and I want to talk to my mom about us."

"As you wish, my hjerte."

"My whata? I like it but what does it mean." I laughed and wiped the left over tears in my eyes as we made our way to the table.

"My heart." Anna giggled at the sound of it and at that moment I couldn't have asked for more.

The rest of the evening I was getting to know Anna's mother and she in return was learning about me. I learned more about her brother Kristoff and he will be coming home soon after he graduates from college. She also really thinks I'm good for Anna and that I will be needed as much as possible through Anna's recovery, which was something I couldn't refuse.

The days that followed the first meeting with Anna's mother were some of the worst but best days that I can remember. Anna finally could say my name without getting a headache and make eye contact without getting sick. When she does get a headache, I cool my hands to a comfortable chill and place it on her head which seems to relieve it each time. It is hard to not tell her the truth about my ice when she asks but I'm so afraid she will leave and I understand that it is a selfish thing to do.

"Mom?" Anna smiled at me when she called her mother, "Can I spend the day with Elsa tomorrow? Like I mean the whole day, I already have a plan if you say yes."

Camillia snorted, "Well if you already have a plan I can't see why not."

"Thank you, Camillia."

"Thank you Mom!" Anna ran over and gave her a tight hug before coming to me and dragging me to her room. "I want you to be here at nine in the morning."

"In the morning? Are you going to be awake, my hjerte?"

Anna kissed me, "Its been so long since we did that." She wrapped her arms around my neck and we fell onto her bed.

"Yes it has. You didn't answer my question," I laughed as I looked into her eyes.

"Buzz kill Elsa. Yes I'll be awake like I said I have a plan for tomorrow hopefully you enjoy it."

I was the one who kissed her next, "I'm sure I will."

"Well you need to go home and rest up because you'll need it!" I blushed.

My thought of what we would be doing was so far off. We drove for a good forty minutes, until I saw something behind one of the hills.

"Anna where are we going?"

She squealed and gripped my arm, "Six Flags Magic Mountain! It's like one of the best places on Earth! Next to Disney World of course, which I will take you eventually, but I figured that since you like to go fast, that a park of roller coasters would be a fun date."

The thing or ride that towered over the hills was I guess four hundred feet in height and goes one hundred mph, it sounded fun but my thought was once again wrong.

Anna wanted to save that one for last, so we went on the other biggest one, Goliath. As we climbed the steep slope I could feel my anxiety rise and my hands tightened on the grip rails. I was grateful it was winter and the drop in temperature won't be so drastic.

"Is the speedy and big bad Elsa scared of a roller coaster?"

"Anna… not the time right now."

She put her hand on my whitening knuckles, "Its okay we are almost- there!"

The ride came to a slow stop before gravity took hold and sent us down the coaster. I didn't even scream I was in too much shock and I looked at my hands which are covering the hand rail in frost. As the coaster took another plummeting drop, I quickly moved my hand to meet Anna's. Her hand tightened on mine and my tension was eased. Then the ride made a jerking stop.

"You can open your eyes now gorgeous."

I slowly opened them and I let go of Anna's hand to comb my hand through my hair. I looked at her and her hair was so wild, I can't even imagine what mine looked like.

I laughed a bit, "Wow."

"I can't believe this! How is your hair perfect? It seems to look better now than when you arrived!"

Anna began to pout, "Aww, my hjerte, that is payback for making me go on this ride. I do have to admit it was fun."

That seemed to lighten her up, "I guess, well I'm glad you had fun, gorgeous." As I got out of the seat, I didn't realize how shaky my legs were, "It's okay I got you, I promise I won't let you collapse and embarrass me."

I looked at her and she winked, "Whatever, Anna."

"Before we go on the next ride I have to use the restroom," she took my hand and ran to the restroom.

Her lips met mine once we got in, "Anna I thought you had to go?"

"I did but I wanted to kiss you first." I rolled my eyes at her witt.

I looked in the mirror and she was right, my hair did look good. I chuckled but stopped when I heard Anna mumble something from her stall. "What did you say?"

Anna grunted, "You are admiring yourself in the mirror aren't you?"

"How did you know?" I smiled.

"'Cause I can see you through the crack in the stall…" I heard the toilet flush and Anna came out squinting at me.

As she was washing her hands I wrapped my arms around her waist, "I'm sorry but my hair does look fantastic." I kissed her neck.

"Get off you conceited woman!" She tried to shove me off but I held on tight. "Why are you perfect?"

I furrowed my brows, "I'm not perfect," I turned her body so she is facing me, "you are."

Anna leaned in and swapped our positions so my back is to the mirror. Our lips collided and I felt my heart race when her tongue ran across my lower lip. I parted them and she didn't hesitate to play with my tongue against hers. My hands brought her hips closer and she tangled her fingers in my hair giving me the chills. I moved to her jaw but my eyes opened for a quick moment and there was a family just staring at us.

I swallowed and stopped, panting slightly I said her name "Anna." My girlfriend must have got the wrong idea and moved to my neck, I bit my lip, my nerves were on fire and I tried not to make a sound. I finally pushed her away and motioned with my eyes to the family of three. Now looking at the family, the two girls were basically us as teenagers, kinda scary. A light blonde but she had lighter eyes than I did, the other a redhead with the same blue.

Anna cleared her throat obviously just as worked up as I was and broke the awkward silence, "I'm so sorry. You may have this lavatory to yourselves now. As you saw, my girlfriend and I got a little carried away, with the kissing the touching." Anna blushed, "Um I'm talking way too much. Elsa lets go."

Before we left I heard the family talk, "We have the same name. I wonder if the other girl is named Anna?"

"Yeah that would be funny but they were kissing-"

"Oh my god…"

Anna looked at me, "What? Is it what happened in there?"

"No that's not it," I snorted, "Those girls had our same names."

I saw Anna's eyes light up and soon both of us broke into hysterical laughter, "That is just weird, lets go get a beer or something and go on a ride. So maybe we could forget about that." She smiled and intertwined her fingers with mine, "You know what I don't think any alcohol will make me forget that."

"Same here. Imagine us sisters, would we have the same feelings?" We looked into each others eyes again and burst out laughing again.

The rest of the day went smoothly, well any day with Anna would be perfect. We got on all the rides and each one got easier so I was able to enjoy them.

"Well my hjerte, I had a lot of fun with you today. I'm also glad I brought an extra sweater."

Anna kissed my cheek when we got in the car, "Yes thank you. I had no idea it would be this cold and how were you not cold?"

"Well it is winter so it will be cold Anna," That earned me a punch in the shoulder and I laughed. I exited the parking lot and got on the freeway. "For me not being cold-"

My mood quickly changed. Three cars followed behind me, they looked familiar, "Oh shit."

"Elsa what's wrong?" I looked at her soon enough to see her get the chills, the inside of the car was getting cold.

"Anna?" I tightened my grip on the steering wheel, "Damn it… do you trust me?"

"Of course why wouldn't I?"

I reached over and squeezed her hand, "I promise I will tell you everything."

"Els-ahh!" Her voice changed as I stepped on the gas and began one of my hidden talents, weaving in and out of traffic.

I kept looking in my mirrors and making sure my movements were unpredicatible. "Anna please tell me you are buckled." The passenger light was on showing the safety harness wasn't on.

"Oh sorry. Who are they? Why are they chasing us?"

"Anna you said you would trust me so… trust me."

Weaving through the cars got easier once the traffic cleared up but that also meant they would have it easy too. I shook my head once and I rolled down my window. I let my hand dangle and leaving a trail of thick ice. I saw one of them skid out and hit the freeway dividers. I smirked but when I looked at Anna, my face changed.

"Elsa did you just- wait what? Is that ice?"

She reached over to my hand on the steering wheel. I don't understand how she could touch me, especially if she doesn't have any idea on what's going on. "Anna I will tell you, I promise just give me a-."

"Elsa!" I wasn't paying attention and one of the cars were right next to us, aiming a gun through the partially opened window. I made a small sharp piece of ice and threw it at the tires of the car, a loud crash followed. Looking in the mirror again both cars collided with each other but also creating a bigger pile up of cars.

I rolled my window back up and looked to Anna, "So um any questions?"

"Uh yeah Elsa."

How was it? Be brutally honest again guys, I obviously was with my sister over something so stupid as the last chapter. So till next time….
