Chapter 6: Kuen's trap

Elsa lied there in bed, resting and feeling sick. She would cough up blood into a rag, and then look back out the window, at the East Mountain. She could see from where she was the ice and snow castle her daughter built. That made Elsa smile.

"History repeated…I just wish I gave her a choice."

Jack, Dove, Trent, and Lydia, along with Lola the Snowgirl, were heading back to Arendelle, at the speed of light. Jack was carrying Dove as he flew in the air, while Trent, Lydia, and Lola were on Trent's horse.

Hang on, Elsa…we're coming. Jack thought

Elsa could feel her heart shutting down now. She couldn't hold on anymore. It was getting harder for Elsa to breathe as well. She couldn't take the pain much longer, but she had to hold on, for Jack's sake.

"Why bother holding on, your majesty? Odds are you'll see them wherever you're going." A voice broke the silence.

Elsa looked away from her window, and saw Kuen standing right there. "Who-who are you?" She stuttered out, sounding weak and frail.

"Lady Kuen Kuroi at your service…" Kuen said, bowing. As she stood up, she was grinning evilly. She had a wicked plan going through her mind right at that moment, and she intended to see it through.

Jack and Dove landed in the center of Arendelle and Trent, Lydia, and Lola rode in, stopped the horse, and got off, as they ran up to Dove and Jack. Lola, however, stopped when she saw Olaf standing over by Kristoff's sad reindeer, Sven. Olaf's big smile is what made Lola smile the same way he was. She walked up to him, still smiling, and Olaf looked over at her.

"Oh, hello! I'm Olaf…" Olaf said.

"I'm Lola…"

"…and I like warm hugs!" They said in unison, and laughed.

Dove giggled at the sight, and then ran inside the castle with her father and two friends.

"What do you want?" Elsa asked after a while.

"Oh, I'm just waiting for you to die…I mean…I am the one who gave you the disease." Kuen answered.

"What?!" Elsa yelled, wincing in pain afterwards.

"Oh, yes…oh, and it's not cancer…your frozen heart is melting." Kuen giggled evilly, as Elsa closed her eyes, one last time.

Jack was flying through the halls while Dove, Trent, and Lydia were running through them. They were making their way to Elsa's room, and when they got there, Jack landed on the floor, and opened the door with full force. He looked at Elsa, and saw that her skin was paler than before, and that her eyes never opened up. Jack ran over to her, and knelt down next to her. He took her hand, and sighed sadly. Elsa was gone.

"Mom…?" Dove began.

"She's gone, Dove." Jack said. Dove was on the verge of tears when she noticed the rag her mother would cough blood into. She noticed that the blood on the rag, wasn't red…it was black. That's when she knew something was up.

"Dad, are we sure that mom died from cancer? Because last I checked…blood was red, not black." Dove pointed to the rag her mother used, and Jack saw what his daughter was trying to say. Elsa died by Kuen's hand.

"Kuen…she is so dead!" Jack yelled as he grabbed his staff and headed out the door. Dove and Trent followed, and Lydia stayed with Elsa, just in case a miracle happened.

Kuen was outside, burning every piece of snow that was there, just as Jack flew out and shot some snow at her, making her fall down and lose her place in making Dove's kingdom her own.

"King Jack, what the…?!" Kuen looked angry…but her plan and trap worked.

"What did you do to my wife!?" Jack yelled at Kuen as he landed on his feet.

Kuen giggled evilly as she shot some black fire at him, hitting him in the heart. Jack fell to the ground, clasping his chest, as Dove ran outside with Trent following behind.

"Dad!" Dove yelled as she ran over to her father's side. "Dad, are you okay?!"

"Dove…" Jack began when he winced in pain.

Dove looked at Kuen, full of anger in her stare. "What did you to my parents!?" She yelled.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm melting their frozen hearts!" Kuen replied, giggling evilly.

"But your fire ability can't melt a frozen heart! You hit me in the heart, and look…I'm still alive!" Dove yelled, sounding angrier than before.

"Oh, but sweetie, I didn't hit with you black fire…I hit you with normal fire."

Dove's eyes widened. Her parents were going to be gone forever if she didn't think of something, and fast! That's when she remembered, Love will thaw. She had to try it. But then, she saw something strange. The snow that Kuen burnt was coming back. Dove stood up as she watched the snow and ice return. It was odd to see something like this happen!

Kuen looked and saw that the snow and ice was coming back for more. "What?!" She yelled.

Jack's vision was getting a bit blurred, and his heart was starting to slow down more. He was about to die, and he couldn't stop it. At least he got his daughter to see him again, before this day came.

Just then, Trent saw black sand all around the white fluffy snow and slippery ice. Jack saw it too, just as his arch enemy from when he was a guardian appeared out of the darkness.

"Hello, old friend. Long time no see."
