Skykit's P.O.V

I sighed as I padded to Swiftfire's den, and everyone else in the area moved away. Applefall glared at me for a distance, Rosekit - now Rosepaw right next to her. I snorted.

You would think Swiftfire's apprentice would spend more time in his den.

I mentally grinned in my mind. Aspenflame watched from the corner of his eyes. His eyes followed my every paw step of mine. I gulped, and ducked my head down.

Make your posture straight, Skykit. You don't want everyone to think you're a weakling. Do you?

No. Of course not.

I hardened my gaze and raised my back straight, strutting towards the den. Swiftfire popped his head outside, his ice cold eyes gleaming. Rosepaw bounced beside him, whispering something in his ear. He grinned and stifled a marrow of laughter. I felt a pang of jealousy overcome me.

For a moment I just stopped in my tracks and looked at the ground, as if studying it.

I really really hate her.

Who, Rosepaw? Or Applefall?

Both, you fool.

Oops. My mistake, your majesty.

Don't ever call me that again. or I will mentally choke you.

Hmph.

"Skykit?" A voice interrupted. I hissed and flung my head around, unsheathing my claws.

"I'm not a mouse brained kit no more!" I shouted onto the victim's face. I stopped glaring at them, when I realized that it was Swiftfire. He hesitantly stopped me by resting his tail on my shoulder. As a friendly gesture, of course.

"Whoa, there calm down." He pushed. I scoffed and looked down to the ground. I shrugged his tail off my shoulder, raising my gaze to look around the camp. Everyone was either starting or muttering things to each other.

"What're y'all looking at! Get yourselves to work!" I yowled, my eyes blazing with anger. I turned to Swiftfire, tilting my head.

"I really think they have nothing better to do, than gossip. Don't ya think?" I mewed in monotone voice. He sighed.

"Most certainly." He paused, glancing at Hazelstar. Who surprisingly was still observing us, with the owl expression of hers.

"Come along now. We have better things to do than eh gossip." He said, emphasising the word 'gossip'. I scrunched my nose and glared at him.

"I had no idea Swiftfire, out of all cats could be so rude." I muttered to myself before following him into his den.

His den smelled heavily of various herbs. I mean what else would it smell like. I gazed around, fascinated by the fact of how he kept it so organized. Swiftfire coughed to get my attention. I looked up to find him staring at me.

"You might want to take a seat." He suggested. I reluctantly sat down in one of the mossy nests. Swiftfire narrowed his eyes.

"Skykit, what's going on? You've been snapping at everybody, picking fights, and you seem to be never listening!" Swiftfire snapped at me. "You need to realize not everyone is against you." He said more softly, glancing at me and peering into my eyes.

I growled, and stood up. "You don't know what it's like being me! You are one of the reasons I'm not an apprentice, no one likes me, and it's not because of my behavior! I hate this mouse brained clan!" I spat, my sandy furon its ends.

Swiftfire flinched, and flicked his tail. "Sit down. You're behaving like a kit."

I grudgingly sat down, muttering curses under my breath.

"We need to talk this out, okay? First, what's actually been happening with the "fox". I know there's no way a fox keeps sneaking into camp. Who's beating you up?" Swiftfire asked.

I shuffled my paws.

Say it. Say it! Secret urged.

"It..it's...Applefall." I mumbled. "She hates me..."

Swiftfire padded over to sit next to me. It was a bit awkward, and I blushed as I felt his tail on my shoulder. I glance up at him. He looked down at me with a solemn expression.

"Well that explains these scars." He muttered.

Swiftfire still had his tail on my shoulder. He gaped his mouth open, but before he could speak, a cat barged into the den yelling his name.

"Oh Swiftfire!" Rosepaw called, in a singsongy voice. He grumbled and dropped his tail from my shoulder.

"Yes, Rosepaw?" He asked, with a sigh. While he said that, Rosepaw shot me a cold glare.

She quickly turned her eyes to Swiftfire. She bounced to him, gleaming with her fake stupid Lil teeth?

"So, I was with Rowanpaw and we went close to the Thunderclan border to you know uhm-look for herbs. And we found this huge patch of comfrey. I was wondering if you wanted like wanted to go collect them with me. There is a bunch of it. Whadya say?" She asked, grinning so much it was practically fake. Swiftfire muttered something under his breath, while he played around with his herb piles. He sighed and looked back at Rosepaw.

"Sorry Rosepaw. I'm a little busy." He mewed, nodding towards me. Rosepaw shot me another disgusted look and rolled her eyes. I kept my eyes locked with hers.

"Is that a stray poppy seed?" Rosepaw gasped, her eyes wide fake. She looked past behind me with a confused look.

"I don't know." Swiftfire muttered, still sorting herbs. She swept past me, but she paused right beside me, lowering her mouth to my ear.

"You better stay away from Swiftfire. You better stay away from everyone. Or else, there will be consequences." She hissed, before going forward quickly.

"I guess it was my imagination. Nothing here!" She exclaimed. Swiftfire didn't seem too enthusiastic with her.

"Great." He paused, glancing at Rosepaw. "Now if you don't mind. With all due respect, can you please leave. I have business to take care of." He commented. Rosepaw blinked, sending me one last glare before nodding and exiting.

"Now, we have a little while before today's session is over." He said, settling across from me.

"I want you to let it out. Because I know, that sometimes it all gets a little too much."

Whatever you do, do not mention anything about me there will be consequences.

"Everyone thinks I am a fool. I don't know what I did, Swiftfire but it must've been bad. This clan doesn't seem to give out chances. And for one why me?! Why not Rosepaw? Why not her? It's annoying! I have no one to protect me, and I keep having these strange dreams. It's crazy. I don't know what is happening! But, whatever it is, please tell everyone to forgive me! I deserve a chance!" I ended with a sob, my tail tightening around my mitts.

Swiftfire padded beside me and wrapped his tail around me, giving me a short curt lick behind the ear. My fur went hot again.

"It's okay, Skykit. Everything will be fine. I'll protect you." Her whispered. I sniffled and gave a small smile.

"Thank you."

Later, as I crawled into my nest, I thought about how Swiftfire had put his tail on my shoulder, and the feeling was like ants crawling all over me. Wait, no.

There were ants crawling all over me! Someone had put ants in my nest?!

"ROSEPAW!" I roared, my eye twitching.

I heard a faint snicker. Rosepaw followed by Rowanpaw and Ravenpaw were staring at me in amusement.

"What, kit? Can't you see us apprentices are busy?" Rosepaw sneered. I growled.

"You put ants in my nest!" I accused. Rosepaw faked a hurt look.

"How could you say that?" She hissed, dramatically.

"I can say that because I have a tongue you mousebrain!" Rosepaw stared at me.

"Turns out not only is Skykit is not only a murderer, but also a liar. Plus she talks to herself" Rosepaw spat back. Rowanpaw laughed, his green eyes icy and cold.

"Let's teach Scarkit what we do to people who lie about us." Ravenpaw snarled.

I took a step back. "Hey, hey. Let's not do this…" I said warily stepping backwards.

Rowanpaw was about three moons older than me, and Ravenpaw was about five moons older than me. Not to mention they all had training, and I had none. Rowanpaw sprang at me, grabbing me by the scruff and using his claws to rake at my ear.

Fight him, fight him! Secret yelled.

I saw red.

I don't know what happened next exactly, but Rowanpaw was yowling in pain on the den floor, one eye closed, claw marks on the eyelids.

Ravenpaw stared at me, and fled out of the nursery, presumably to tell Swiftfire. Rosepaw gaped at me, her eyes so wide I couldn't see the white. "Rowanpaw!" She exclaimed. Rowanpaw whimpered pitifully as Swiftfire entered the den.

"What happened?!" he yowled.

Rowanpaw hissed. "W- we were just playing around, and we put ants in Skykit's nest. She got mad and attacked me, and I can't see out of my eye!" he howled. Swiftfire quickly ushered Rosepaw and Rowanpaw out of the den, before giving me a stern look that said, We'll talk about this later.

I heard Fernheart's yowl at she saw her son, his handsome ginger face, now matted with blood.

Oops. Secret snickered.

Shut up. You got me into this mess!

No, Skykit. I don't control you. You did this to yourself.

Applefall's P.O.V.

Aspenflame looked at me idly. "What?" he growled

"I need a favor, and just know if you don't do it for me, I'll tell everyone about the Rebellion, and have you branded as a traitor and get you exiled. But don't worry. My plan still will work even if you don't help." I snarled.

Aspenflame blinked. "What do you want me to do?" he said grudgingly.

"I need you to make sure I become deputy in the next two moons, or else I'll be telling everyone."

Aspenflame frowned. "How do you want me to do that?"

"I don't care! Just do it!" I spat, and I whipped around making sure to hit my tail tip across his muzzle. He growled slightly.

"Just don't forget what I promised. You have fame and glory, it would be a shame for it to all go to waste when you could be the next leader."
