Amber's POV
I don't own Leo or Piper
Amber keeps hicking, even every step she took sent a surge of pain through her.
"Amber!" someone says
Amber turns around to look who it was. Seeing that no one was there, she keeps walking keeping, her head glancing back every few seconds. Suddenly, she falls of the mountain and scream.
I gasp as I suddenly sit up for my sleep.
"You k?" Piper asks as she rubs my back
"Yeah." I say as I catch my breath
"What happened?" Amelia and Srista ask
"Umm, bad dream." I say as I scratch the back of my head
"Well, you woke up just in time, it's time to get ready to go to breakfast." Piper says
"Ok" I say as I grab the clothes that hang off of the headboard that I am going to wear today.
Soon we get ready and stand outside of the teachers cabin to go to breakfast.
"You know the other Strantford high school?" Ash says
"Yeah" Piper says
"They are kinda wierd." Ash says
"You could say that again! We are amazing!" I scream
"Shush, Amber, how are you so hyper in the morning?" Ash asks
"Yeah I thought that you weren't a morning person?" Piper asked as she turns and looks at me
"I don't know" I say
"I wonder what we had for breakfast today." Gavin, another one of my guy friends, says
"Yesterday's breakfast was good." Piper pointed out.
"Yeah" I say blurred out because I am looking at Evan, Leo, and Savannah (another one of those girls that love attention from boys)
Soon, Gavin, Piper, and Ash's conversation gets tuned out because I am watching every single move of that horribly awful girl. Suddenly, I felt like running and slapping her, she hugged Leo, even though he just is stood there frozen and then he pushes her back, I felt like wrestling her to the ground. I watch her trying to hold his hand and him pushing away. Heat started to grow inside me, I was about to get to her like a wildfire.
"Hey?HE-LL-O? Am-ber!" Piper says as she waves her hand in front of my face
"What?" I say, recovering from my rage
"You K? You look like you were going to pound someone!" she says
"Look." I say pointing in Savannah's direction
"Wow, that's sad to watch and be in place of Leo." Piper says jerking her head back in disgust.
"Yeah.." I say as if that is the real reason I am mad.
"Oh...I see how this is...someone is jealous!" Piper asks
"NO!" I scream looking at her, wondering if I was jelous
"I saw that..thing you two were doing on Sunday." she says putting her hand on her hip
"That was for a game!" I say in my deffence
A smile curls on her lip, "Sure."
We walk to the dinning hall, arguing on the way. As I eat my dinner, I keep catching small glances of Leo, and a warmth fills my checks. After I am done, I walk over to the guys table, again. When I get there, the boys are arm wrestling, again. I laugh as some boys show their 'macho' , and then lose to someone. Then, I look to my right, only to find some guy from the other campus, trying to flirt with me. He walks away, puckering his lips, and I look at him like he just got barfed on, which I feel like doing to him.
"I think a guy just tried to flirt with me." I say tapping Piper's shoulder
"WHO?" she asks
"I don't know, someone from the other campus." I say, trying to forget that weird clip in my mind
Soon, it's time to go back to our cabins to get ready to go on our hikes
Today's hike was ten times better than yesterday! It was longer, but much better. I am not a sweaty as yesterday, so I decide not to take a bath. It's around 6, so we have about an hour to get ready. Piper and I sit on my side of the bed and watch Amelia and Srista get ready to go take a shower.
"Oh, guess what book I brought." I tell all the girls.
"Um...The Hunger Games!" Piper exclaims
"No" I say
"Oh...Catching Fire!" Amelia says
"No"
"Let me guess..Mocking jay." Srista says, doing her obnoxious head nod thing
"No...Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone!" I scream as I pull it out from under my Giants panda pillow pet
"Oh..ew, I would never read that book." Piper says as she swats her hand in the air and lays down on her side of the bed
"EXXXCUSE ME!" I say as I give her my 'what did you just say?' face
"I will never read Harry Potter." she says
"I am officially shunning you for 15 seconds of my life." I say pushing my hand in front of her face
"Ok" she says
"What's the time?" Amelia asks as she steps out the door
"6:30" Piper replies
"We need to hurry." Amelia says, grabbing Srista
"K!" she sreams
After those two come back from their shower, it's time for dinner, so we gather outside our normal meeting spot. I keep watching Leo talk to Savannah and Evan. Heat starts to brew inside of me and I feel like going there and dragging that girl out of there. I keep watching as I get involved with other conversations. We start to walk to the dinning hall. I purposely stand behind Savannah, Evan, and Leo, to watch every single move that girl makes. She looks back and my head turns to the side and I start talking to the girl next to me. Savannah looks back forward and with a few tries, she attempts to hold Leo's hand. My eyes narrow and I start to grit my teeth.
"Comeon!" I say to the girl I am talking to. I run to Piper to tell what is going on.
"I'm coming!" the girl says
"She's trying to hold his hand!" I whisper into Piper's ear
"Wow, who? Savannah?" Piper asks
"Yup, she is trying to hold Leo's hand!" I say
We both turn around at the same time, only to find Leo standing next to Evan now, not Savannah. I give out a sigh of relief. We walk into the dinning hall and sit down in my usual spot, the one on the far corner of the table on the left side, from where I could see the boys. I look for Piper and then I see that she is sitting on the table behind me, why? I don't know. Then, I realize that there wasn't enough space on this table for them. I look back to see Leo, Noah, Gavin, and Piper sitting there. I look into Noah and Gavin's eyes, they both looked dazed as they watch Piper laugh. Then, I look at Leo who looks at her like she is just a friend, which she is, I hope. I grab my dinner and sit down. After I finish, I hear a voice..
"Hey, where's my jacket?" Piper asks
"I don't know" Gavin says as he looks around
"Right there." says the same boy who flirted with me yesterday, pointing his finger to her chair. I watch him pass as he puckers his lips at Piper.
"WOW!" I say as I turn back completely
"I know!" Piper says as she gives him a weird look
"He is the same guy who flirted with me yesterday! He's doing it to you too!" I scream as she turns around
"Wait! He flirted with you!?" Leo asks in a sort-of protective way
"Yeah, I was watching you guys arm wrestle and then I look to my right to see him puckering his lips at me!" I say
"Should I go and talk to this guy?!" Leo says, still in a protective way
"No, it's fine." I say as I pick my tray to go put the scraps away
"Ok" he says, a little bit relaxed
I walk over to the scraps bin to scrape of the scraps. I look up to see him standing right there. By him, I mean 'The Flirt'.
"Hey good lookin." he says pulling the collar of his shirt
I ignore him as I walk away, looking down. Suddenly, someone grabs my wrist. I look back to see him holding it.
"You can't ignore me." he says making his eyebrows dance on his forehead
"Let go!" I say
"Oh, you have to tell me your name first." he says, his eyebrows still dancing
"LET GO." I say sternly as I try to wriggle free
"Your name" he says as his grip get harder and harder
"You want me to bite you!?" I ask
He pules me towards him and grabs my waist, "You look cute when you get mad."
"LET GO!" I say as I try to dig my nails into his hand
His grip gets tighter on both places. Suddenly, I see a dark hand slap 'The Flirt's' hand that held my wrist.
"Let go of her!" Leo says protectively(this time I am sure about it) and sternly as he pules both his hands away
"What are you? Her boyfriend?!" 'The Flirt' says
Immediately, Leo's checks turn red and his eyes narrow at the boy
"No, and you have no right to ask that especially after what you just did!" Leo says
"Oh, who are you to tell me that?!" the guy says
"Oh, it's on buddy!" Leo says, rolling up his sleeves
"Let it go Leo!" I say as I hook his hand into mine and pull him away
I pull him and he turns around to look at the guy.
"Go Leo boy, run away!" the guy says in a baby voice
"You didn't tell me your name you big flirt!" Leo shouts
"Nial," the guy says with a sly smile on his horrid face, "and I didn't catch your name sweety!"
"Because I didn't throw it to you!" I scream
I let go of Leo's hand, realizing I was hooking it. I walk out next to Leo, in silence.
"You ok?" he asks me
"Yeah"
"I told you I should have gone and talked to him!" he exclaims
"It's fine!" I say putting my hair behind my ear
"Woa, what did he do to your hand?!" he asks as he holds it. Instantly, that same shock runs through me as I feel my check warm. I hope he doesn't realize that.
"Oh, every time I said something, he would tighten his grip." I say rubbing the huge red cuff like mark around my wrist.
"Don't rub it, it's going to hurt more." this time his voice has a kindness and anger to it.
"Don't worry about me, what the heck was Savannah trying to do with you?" I ask trying to get him of topic.
"Oh, I guess she likes me and is trying to get me closer to her." he said shrugging, still keeping my wrist on his palm.
"You think?!" I say giving out a small laugh
"Um, I think I'm sure." he says laughing
"Wait, she is probably getting mad right now." I say
"Why?"
I ignore him because I don't want him to let go of my wrist. I turn around and see Savannah looking at me with her eyes narrowed, then she starts to give me fake smile. I turn around and giggle.
"What?" he asks
"She's mad." I laugh
"Why?"
"Because you are talking to me." I say
"Oh"
"AMBER! You ok?" Piper exclaims as she runs over to probably see how I am doing
"He hurt her!" Leo says in his protective voice again as he showed her my wrist
"HE HURT YOU?!" Piper screams
"I'm fine." I say
Leo keeps holding on to my wrist as we walk to our cabins.
"You take care of that, k?" he says, gently letting go, in his happy, gentle voice again
"I'll be fine." I say, lying. My wrist and my waist throbbed in pain, but I was to happy to ignore it. Why? I don't know.
Piper and I walk into our cabin and see Amelia and Srista already getting ready to go to sleep.
"OMG! What happened to your hand?!" Amelia screams
"I'm fine."
"A guy was flirting with her and started to hurt her when she wouldn't tell that guy her name." Piper says, getting mad again
"I'm fine." I say hopping into bed
"Secret spellers?" Srista asks
"Ok" I say as I get comfortable
"Ok, I'll ask you first Amber." Amelia says to me
"Ok" I say
"Is there a guy you like?"
"No"
"Which guy have you gotten closest to this week?"
"Um, Leo"
"How?"
"He was caressing my wrist to relive the pain."
"Ok, which guy makes you laugh, alot."
"Leo"
"Which guy makes you smile, a lot."
"Um..Leo"
"Which guy takes care of you a lot?"
"Leo, but if I had a dad, it would be him."
She kept asking ridiculous guy questions and the answers are all 'Leo'.
"You and Leo are perfect for each other!" Amelia and Piper say
A tingly warmth rushes up my checks, "NO, good night." I am glad that the lights were of.
After that I hear a few giggles and then silence.
