Chapter 7 Make up or break up?
Another beautiful morning in the peaceful day in the Jungle. All the birds started up the rhythm and started to sing their morning routine song.
All the birds of a feather
Do what they love most of all
We are the best at rhythm and laughter
That's why we love carnival
All so clear we can sing to
Sun and beaches, they coo
Dance to the music, passion and love
Show us the best you can do
Everyone here is on fire
Get up and join in the fun
Dance with a stranger, romance and danger
Magic could happen for real in Rio
All by itself, you can't see it coming
You can't find it anywhere else
It's real in Rio, know something else
You can feel it happen, you can feel it all by yourself
As the Birds finished their song, the black hawk Rico suddenly popped out of his tree, landing on the ground as he shouted towards the singing birds. "Guys, seriously, can't you take a day off!?"
Before long, Rico's expression changed when he heard argument was heard in Blu and Jewels hollow which brought the attention of Rico, Nico, Pedro and Rafael, whom were all flying together nearby. The four of them stood on the ground, listening in on their argument.
"Well you know what? I wished I never tried to rescue you from Nigel!" Blu shouted towards his wife. He looked completely angry and that was a face no-one had even seen.
The four blue macaw kids stood in fear as neither of them dared to say anything. Jessica, whom was only a few days old, was unable to speak yet. Heck, she couldn't even walk on her own, but she did not like the sound of her parents.
"Yeah? Well, I wished I turned down your love and left you alone!" Jewel yelled, shoving him back using her wings.
"Oh yeah, well. I wished I NEVER JUMPED AFTER YOU WHEN YOU FELL OUT THE PLANE, I WISHED I LET YOU DIE!" Blu barked in the loudest voice ever.
Hearing that sentence Blu had just shouted left everyone in shock. Jewel began to tear up as she turned away.
Blu, still angry had flown away out of the tree.
Jewel sat in the nest and began crying with her wings placed upon her eyes, damping her feathers.
Rafael sighed after he had heard the entire conversation. It broke his heart to hear them like this.
"Love. Guys, you better take the kids from Jewel, and I'll go after Blu." Rafael said, as he proceeded to take off and follow the blue macaw through their home.
"You got it, Rafi." Nico replied, as he, Pedro, and Rico flew inside the hollow where they saw all four kids sitting together, neither of them said a word.
"Come on kids." Nico said, gently, pushing them towards the exit/entrance to their home.
Rico picked up Jessica in his wings and carefully lay her down in them. He held her close while he followed his friends outside.
"Where are we going?" Azul asked, turning back towards his mother for a moment.
"Let's just give your mother some privacy." Nico simply replied, taking a quick look back towards the female macaw, who continued to cry in sadness. He turned back to their children and took them over to Rico's before they could sort this situation out.
Blu continued to walk away (rather than fly) with Rafael, who continued to follow him.
"Blu?" Rafael said, hoping he would stop. He felt as history was repeating itself. He remembered when he had to follow Blu down the street during the night of Carnaval.
"Rafael, quit following me, just go home." Blu request, not removing eye contact from where he was walking. He didn't sound as angry as before, more like he wanted to be left alone.
"Where are you even going?" Rafael asked.
"I'm going to Linda's, and I don't know when I will be coming back." Blu answered, unsure on what he was going to do now. He really didn't want to see his wife right now.
"Blu, what started the argument?" Rafael asked, curious to know so they could help resolve their problems
"I don't wanna talk about it." Blu responded, pausing for a moment as he prepared to fly away.
"Blu, please just tell me and I'll go." Rafael promised, refusing to leave until he got the truth.
Blu sighed in defeat and turned around. "Fine. I was with my friend who's a Lear macaw. Her name is Courtney. Jewel started to accuse me of cheating on her then I started to say how she always kisses people as a thank you and that's when it started."
"I see." Rafael said, surprised that such a little argument could cause so much chaos between them.
"I'm going now, don't try and stop me." Blu replied, spreading his wings as he took flight into the morning sky and headed in the direction towards the city.
Meanwhile, shortly after their argument, Lev the Russian Macaw had arrived to Jewel's hollow to comfort her, being the last of their kind and all. Lev kept a wing over Jewel for comfort as she was also talking to him about what happened.
Jewel struggled in tears, but managed to get her words out. "Blu was talking to a Lear macaw, I asked did he cheat on me then he tried to turn it around on me and that's when-when-h-he wished I was dead!"
Lev didn't really know what to do, so he gently pulled Jewel a little closer to him, as she cried heavily.
"He hates me, Lev." Jewel cried.
"He doesn't hate you Jewel; he never meant what he said you know." Lev reassured, patting her back a couple of times to comfort her. He had a close bond with Blu and Jewel, feeling like they were the brother and sister he never had. He would hate for them to break up after everything they been through together.
Blu went back to Linda's bookstore and he explained to Linda what happened (with notes of course) and she agreed to let him stay but she suggested they should talk things over. Blu sat in his old cage, fiddling around with his cage bell while thinking about all the times he had with Jewel.
...
"BLU you're crazy, what are you doing?!"
"I'm not going to let you go! We're chained-to-each-other-birds, remember?"
...
"Wait!"
"What?"
"I don't want you to get chocolate all over your beautiful feathers allow me."
...
Blu dazed out of his thoughts when he heard a customer come into the bookstore: Alberto, one of Linda's regulars. He walked in and ringed the bell on the desk.
"One minute!" Linda called out from the back of the store where she was busy.
Blu opened his cage and flew over to desk to greet the customer.
"Hi there, little guy." Alberto greeted, lifting his hand as he began stroking his back.
Blu squawked in happy respond, and jumped onto his arm.
Linda walked into the room, seeing Blu on Alberto's arm, moving to his shoulder that caused her to smile. "He's taken a liking to you then."
"Yep." Alberto replied, before setting Blu back down onto the desk. "Anyway, you got any books about the amazon rain forest?"
"I'll check one sec." Linda replied, looking through the bookshelf.
For now, Blu flew back into his cage and shut himself inside. He got back down on his back and began fiddling around with his old bell again. It used to make him happy every time he fiddled around with it, but now he was more depressed then happy.
Meanwhile back in the jungle, Jewel was still crying as she had her head buried in to Lev's chest who merely sat there with his right wing over her. She was also thinking about the times she had with Blu.
"Rest up, my Jewel of the Forest."
"Blu, I just wanna thank you, for giving me, love, protection, and now a family."
"That's, what I'm here for, Jewel, I love you."
...
"This is one of the best days of my life."
"Me too, Jewel, I love you so much."
"I love you too."
...
"I can't believe were gonna have another child."
"I know."
"Jewel?"
"Yeah?"
"Can I...can I feel?"
"Sure, go ahead."
Jewel suddenly dazed out of her thoughts, as she couldn't handle being apart from her husband. She leaned her head from Lev's chest where she had left tear marks, wanting nothing more than to have Blu back. She was wrong to accuse Blu of cheating on him, he would never do that. "I can't take it! I want Blu back!"
Back at the bookstore, Blu sat down on Linda's couch, reading a newspaper. Blu was still trying to forget about the argument with Jewel, but he couldn't get it out of his mind. He couldn't hold it in any longer. He was wrong to snap at Jewel like that. He dropped the paper down, and jumped in the air, heading straight towards the open window. "I can't take it! I want Jewel back!"
Blu flew back home in to Jungle and finally made it back to his home, where he saw Jewel, sitting on a branch still crying. Blu touched down on the same branch and sat a few feet from her.
"Hi." Blu greeted, while staring at the ground, unsure on what to say next.
"Hi." Jewel replied, not removing eye contact, from the ground.
The two former lovebirds were unsure on how they were going to speak and forgive one another. They also seem to have no idea that, Rico, Rafael, Nico, Pedro, Lev were all watching, hidden in long grass.
"This isn't going well we need to set the mood." Rafael said, to his friends.
Rico smiled and jumped, out of the grass, preparing to help them get back together with his beat-boxing talent. "Leave it to me I. Know. How to set. A. Mood." he said, smoothly. "Check it out. #D-d-d-d-d-dance with me girl, d-d-dance with me girl, take her take her to the club, show her your m-moves, dip her dip her dip her low, kiss her kiss her kiss her-#" Rico didn't get to finish.
Rafael jumped out of the grass interrupting the Hawks solo. "Yoyoyoyoyo, Rico, Rico, what kinda mood is that?"
"What, you got a better plan?" Rico inquired, curling his wings like fists that he placed upon his hips.
Nico jumped out of the grass too, preparing for his turn to do the singing. "Rick, Rick, Rick, a little too aggressive! Not hating on your beat boxing but I got this, watch."
Nico took of his bottle-cap as he began to whistle his famous love song, "Fly love". He was unable to finish it last time when Blu began choking on a leaf, but this time, he was determined to make it work.
"Hope it works this time."
Nico:

Blu and Jewel looked at each other for the first time since they were reunited while Nico continued singing. They tried to hold in their feelings, and hold their anger, but they couldn't fight it anymore, and pulled each other in a hug
Made to love each other, made to be together
For a life time
In the sunshine flying in the sky
"Jewel! I'm so sorry." Blu apologized.
"No Blu, I am!" Jewel also apologized.
I know I'm feeling so much more
Than ever before
And so I'm giving more to you
Than I thought I could do, oh
"No, we both are!" the lovebirds apologized simultaneously.
Now I know love is real
So when sky high, as the angels try
Leaving you and I, fly love.
The two celebrate their reunion with pulled a passionate kiss, not caring that their friends were watching.
"Good job, Nico." Rafael congratulated, giving the canary a little pat on the back.
"Told you it would work." Nico replied, placing his bottle cap back upon his head.
The five friends watched as Blu and Jewel ended their kiss and hugged each other closely, both with tears in their eyes. It was a huge relief to see them both back together, and hopefully another event like this would never happen again.
Well, the love birds are back together for now. Blu and Jewel are the perfect couple for each other, and I would hate to seem them break up. But don't worry, I would never have them to do. Stay tuned for the next chapter, ladies and gentlemen.
