Twins in Wonderland; Chapter 7: The Childish War Song of G-Ward!
"Interesting" a woman said as she looked over the two twins, after the fight the twins had been sent directly to the 'nurses' office so to speak to be checked out by the doctor of the prison.
"So how is our little prisoners" a voice said, lab doors opened revealing the warden Tamaki Tsunenaga, hands together with a sly smile on his voice.
"Their remarkable specimens" the amber haired doctor, Rei Takashima said as she continued to look over the two. Right now she was looking in the girl's eye as she sat on the bed, her brother right next to her,
"Any diagnosis?" the warden said, swiveling her chair, the doctor typed on a screen which began playing the last fight that left three former Deadman massacred…
"It's interesting" with a tap of a key she stopped the footage, "See" she pointed to the screen as Tamaki leaned in, "When the attack crushed the two twins, it literally flattened them to a pulp. The blood, one red and the other blue, mixed together and re-created…" she then turned her finger pointing toward the bed, "Them?" he pointed to the twins who waived playfully
Tamaki looked at the two twins, his smile never wavering; he walked towards them until he was right in front of them,
"I'm Tamaki, remember me?" large eyes looked up at the male, and nodded
"Yep!" they said at the same time
"Alright then, let's get you to your new home!" he said
"A new room!"
"Cool!" they high fived each other
"But, I still have more tests to run" the doctor pouted not licking losing her subjects
"In due time doctor, in due time" he said, the doctor groaned sadly but listened.
In G-Ward
All over the G-ward news that there would be a new addition to the section filled the halls, catching the ears of both Scar Chain and Ganta and his group. For the past few days guards and workers had been in and out building a special room for the new arrival and many wonder who was so 'special' they needed a specially built room.
In the lounge area Ganta and some of the others Deadman were talking, after the fight between the Cardinal Twins and the ex-now literally Deadman, speculations carried around the prison, people asking
'What happened to the twins?'
No one knew because the screen went dead and a song played around the prisons. Ganta sighed as he sat slouched on the sofa head resting on the arm of the sofa. Shiro had disappeared again, while on the other side of the room the other Deadman were at a table…
"All right people place your bets!" Minatsuki said as some began making bets on the identity of the new prisoners each betting CP and other items. Ganta only shook his head; he didn't really want to deal with the prisoner's idea of 'fun'.
Suddenly the door opened, turning all eyes who gasped at the figures at the door
"What the hell!?"
"It can't be!"
"It's…"
"I'm Vi-sual~" she sang
"I'm Vi-sion~" he sang
"Together we're…The Cardinal Twins!" they sang as all eyes looked in shock in disbelief
"Wait didn't those brats get smashed!?" one of the Deadman asked having saw the two get squashed under a large boulder.
"Yep we did" Vi-sion said
"But as you can see we're 100% grade A alive!" the girl said with a giggle
"Even so why the hell are you here!?" Minatsuki asked peeved at the two
"Good question!" they said at the same time, "We live here!" they sang, suddenly a feeling of dread came over the other prisoners. The Cardinal Twins…they were going to be living in G-ward…
"You can't be serious…" Crow deadpanned
"Nope Sexy Crow" Vi-sual somehow now on his shoulder shocking the large male
"Where the hell did you come from!?"
"Yeah were all going to be neighbors isn't that great!" suddenly he had to do a double take as the other kid appeared on his shoulder.
"Get off me ya little…" he shook getting the two to jump off him giggling
"Hold on one second" Yo said putting all eyes on him, "Only Deadman are allowed in G-ward, how are you two even allowed in?"
"Beats us" the two said,
"The fox man said that it would be better to house us in here" the boy said at that the prisoners thought of the bastard warden and cursed him to the deepest pits of hell
"Plus it'll be so much fun living with everyone!" the girl said
"So let's all be friends" they smiled happily, though the prisoners still cringed, the thought of friendship with those two made them want to go to solitary and stay there.
"Bye!" they said as they left the room it exploded in discussion mostly because 'no one wanted to live in the same place as the twins. Well everyone except Ganta…!
As the twins were brought to their rooms they took most of the time to look around it. It was bigger than their cell and had two beds with sheets and pillows, a couple of dressers, television and most distinctly the trophies they had each won resided on the floor. The boxes on the floors were most likely their things from their old room. As they laid in their beds, thoughts of tomorrow made them smiled as they drifted off to sleep,
The Next Day~
As another day dawned in the hell that was DMW, the prisoners of G-ward tried to go on with their day as normally as possible. Well as normal as a maximum security prisoner could be. In the training room Crow was busy lifting weights sitting the bench lifting a large weight with four large 200 pound weights on each side. As he lifted the heavy exercise equipment up and down his veins rippled and his muscles flexed showing off his fit and muscular build.
'38, 39, 40…' he counted off each lift
The other prisoners in G-ward were each doing their own business, Minatsuki was tending her flowers as her brother watched much to her annoyance, Chaplin was having a conversation with Idaki as Itadaki was scarfing down food on the other side of the room.
Out in the halls Ganta was walking down the path, nowhere important in mind, he just wanted out of his room feeling bored.
Boredom was felt elsewhere as well, in the higher levels off DMW, the psychopathic warden of the jail was sitting at his deck, a bored expression on his face.
'What to do, what to do?' he thought tapping the end of his pen against his desk. With no fun carnival fights the warden was bored out of his sadistic mind. Turning on his computer the holographic scene appeared and he began scanning through his e-mail dully deleting e-mail after email still trying to figure out something to liven up his day.
Opening another email something caught his eye,
"What's this" adjusting his glasses he began reading the mail which turned out to be a newsletter announcing an up incoming…talent show, but not just any talent show a singing completion. It was then it hit him, the most deliciously evil idea
"That's it!" he exclaimed standing from his desk like a madman, "We'll have our first DMW talent show!" it was perfect. He would have it in G-ward with the Deadman as the contestants. It was absolutely genius and humiliating, having a competitor go up and sing like a dying bird it was perfect. Summoning the two twins he ordered them to spread the word about the competition
"The completion will begin tomorrow and is mandatory for all Deadman to either come or to compete!" he said to the blank twins, "The prize for the winner is 1,000,000 CP and one free wish, as approved by the host, i.e me!" after that the twins nodded and headed out to deliver the news.
"Have exciting, I can't wait to hear the birdies sing" he chuckled before sitting back at his desk
In the afternoon, they all gathered in the longue area, not for anything special, with no fights or anything happening the prisoners basically had the day off. All the Deadman were eating lunch, or at least attempting to eat lunch, Itadaki, the hungry and seemingly bottomless Deadman, was piling down food and looked like he still wanted more as he eyed the others food.
"Don't even think it!" Minasuki threatened noting the look he was giving her lunch, suddenly the door opened revealing a peppy Shiro
"Hey everyone did you here! Did you here!?" she said bouncing up and down like a child hyped up on sugar
"Shiro what's wrong?" Ganta asked as his eyes got tired seeing the girl jump like a rabbit
"Someone told Shiro something fun!" she said still bouncing
"Calm down and tell us all ready" Minatsuki said with an irritated look
"There's going to be a singing contest!" Shiro exclaimed happily, the others however gave dumbfound looks to the girl
"Huh? Talent show?"
"So you've heard?" turning to the side, Karako had entered followed by other members of Scar Chain
"Karako?"
"So what's the big deal about some talent show or whatever?" Senji asked
"The big deal, is that the warden made it mandatory for all Deadman to come or enter the completion and sing" she stated and the confusion built
"Wait so that bastard wants us to sing some stupid song for his entertainment!? Fuck that!" Minatsuki said not at all amused
She wasn't alone, they all knew Tamaki was a sadistic bastard but to force them to sing was beyond humiliating. Karako went on to talk of the prize the winner would get. Now the CP was one thing, but a fee wish could be used for a day out of G-ward seemed like an opportunity to get their message out.
"Alright who here knows how to sing?" the second in command Deadman asked looking between the resistance members and the other Deadman seeing if someone would speak but only received mixed looks of wary and uninterested
"Shiro can sing!" the white haired girl said raising her hand
"Well okay that's a start" she said, "But if we want to win we have to have more singers that way our chances increase" she explained
"What about you Karako?" one of the Deadman asked
"I'm already planning on competing" she said
"I didn't know you could sing?" Ganta said
"Yeah kid she's really good too" one of the resistance members said
"We still need more competitors, who else can sing?" looking around no one else seemed to want to step up to the plate. There were only 20 Deadman, maybe more, they needed more competitors if they wanted to win.
Thinking for a second a thought came to mind,
"Um, what about asking the twins" Ganta said and all eyes turned to the Woodpecker
"The twins?" Karako said, she had been hearing stories about the two young prisoners and had seen the fights involving the two.
"Yeah…I mean…maybe they could help us win the completion" he said, it was true the twins used music to fight with, each fight that participated in there was music playing though it seemed dangerous seeing as each song ended with someone killed.
"I don't know Woodpecker, those twins are dangerous, I don't trust them" Senji said
"You're just angry because the girl twin wanted to make out with you" Minatsuki said
"Hey no child should want to kiss an older man!" he rebutted not happy with her accusation
"Maybe we could offer you as a piece offering and I'm sure they'll join~"
"Not funny! I'm not an a sacrifice!" Crow yelled
"As complicated as it seems we need all the help we can get, so it looks like we have no choice" Karako said folding her hands, "Looks like it's time to go pay the Cardinal twins a visit" she said
In the Cardinal Twin's Room
The others stood out in front of the door, the one that belonged to the twins, the door was decorated with stickers and there was a welcome mat in front of the door. Though it seemed welcoming, there was an air of nervousness as the members of Scar Chain and a few Deadman stood before the door.
"So that's their room"
"Yep" someone gulped
After a few moments of looking at the door someone said, "So…um, who's going to knock?" the hall was silent as no one seemed to speak up.
"I'm not doing it"
"No thanks…"
"This is ridiculous" Ganta said moving away from the group, "There acting like there about to go in the room with a violent animal or something"
"I'll knock" he said moving towards the door
"Before kid" someone said as they watched him go up to the door
"It was nice knowing him"
"Shut up you" Karako shushed elbowing someone in the gut
As Ganta stood before the door, he took a deep breathe, lifting his arm he knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.
After a moment the door flew open and the group was greeted by,
"I really don't like you!" a voice yelled
"We'll your picnic for me either!" another voice said
The group were shocked, inside the cardinal twins, were fighting?
"Well keep your junk on your side of the room!" Vi-sion said throwing random stuff on the left side of the bedroom that had been tapped off with blue and red tape, with the brother and sister on each sight.
"What's going on here?" at the sound of the others voice, the two turned to see Ganta standing in front of the door.
"Hey Ganta-chan!" they said at the same time, only a second later to leer at the other
"Why are you two arguing?" he asked rather shocked and confused at the twin's behavior
"Well Mr. Greedy here decided it was okay to eat my special supply of sweets!"
"Well little Ms. Thief over there keeps taking my clothes without asking!" he said
"It was just a dress" Vi-sual said
"What!?" he gasped, "You stained my favorite silk sea blue Deleon dress, do you know how much it cost!?"
"Probably not as much as my sweets you decided to scarf down!"
"But it doesn't matter" she scoffed, "It's only natural that you want to be perfectly stylish and adorably cute" she said as her brother puffed of his cheeks
"Dream on!"
"Now hold up why are you two fighting?" Ganta question usually the two were the closest of close.
"It's all his/her fault!" they pointed accusing at each other to each other
"Me!? It's your fault!"
"It's obviously yours you tone deaf hare! You think with such big ear you know decent music!"
"Excuse me!" she gasped offended, "If anyone's tone deaf it's you! And if there's big in this room it's you!"
"Are you calling me fat!" he gasped as the girl gave him a smug smile, "How could you even think I'm fat, I exercise twice a day and maybe a have a sweet or two, but am defiantly not fat!"
"Tell that to your midnight sweet snacking, you finished off an entire cake in one night!" Vi-sion growled at being called fat and looked like he was ready to pounce on his sister.
"Now calm down you two" Ganta said before it turned into a fight
"I hate you!"
"I never liked you!"
With one good swing, the group gasped as the two fell back, each one striking the other on the cheek leaving a red mark on their faces.
"Whoa…"
Suddenly the door closed shit leaving the group to only stare, witnessing the fight that had just happened.
The day before the competition the two twins were still arguing, nasty glares, snap comments, and the occasional childish prank to get under the others skin.
Right now they were in the lounge area, both silent and backs turned against each other.
'According to Karako's intel, the judges for the contest…are two Undertakers and Tamaki himself', he thought with a sigh, "That makes it even more risky for Scar Chain to get involved". So basically if you go to the contest, the bastard warden might try and take you out right then and there.
"This is depressing…" Ganta looked over to the two twins
"Is there anyway you two will make up?" he asked as the two continued their silent treatment
"Hmph, not until he apologizes"
"I not apologizes until she apologizes"
Ganta sighed
"Look I don't know how you handle these types of things" he started, "But there are people who are counting on someone to win this contest, now could you two please just make up" he said, the two looked at him, then each other, before again turning their backs to each other.
"Not a chance"
"No way"
"O brother…well I tried"
"But…"
"But?" he looked at the twins
"If we were to do this competition"
"And were not saying we will…" Vi-sion added
"There some certain necessities we require"
"Necessities?" he didn't like where this was going for some reason
They nodded,
"Just one tiny little thing" she said
"And that would be?"
"For one thing we want an apology for all the hurtful things the others have been saying about us" she said, "Just because you don't say it to someone, doesn't mean it hurts" she sniffled
Ganta could understand, the other Deadman weren't exactly to kind with their remarks of the twins
"Okay that's seems understandable, it might take some work…" it would be tough, a Deadman apologizing was something rare, not many of them would be on board.
"Anything else?"
"I think that might be it, for now" Vi-sion, "I guess I can work with… 'her'"
"And I'll attempt to put up with 'him'"
"So…does that mean you'll stop fighting?"
"No promises"
"But…" Vi-sion started
"We will enter the contest"
"That's great I'll go tell the others!" without a moment to loose he went to go give the good news
One the day of the completion, the non-participating audiences were seated all around the large room. Deadman who weren't participation were seated in a different section, chained and guarded. Various prisoners and a few personal were seated as well, but in the front was especially reserved for the Undertakers. As the lights dimmed and a spot light shown down the room became quite as the warden stepped onto the stage and gave his creepy, fox like smile.
"Hello everyone!" Tamaki greeted holding the microphone, "Welcome all, I'm so happy you all could make it and share in my special show!"
"Not like we had much of a choice, asshole" someone said, not exactly hiding the last remark, Tamaki adjusted his tie, "My it seems we have jokesters in the crowd, no matter let's begin by introducing are distinct panel of judges!" he began, "I will be your loving host!"
"Fucking asshole" someone coughed creating snickers from the audience
"Your compliments are two kind" with a bang the audience went quite, "Now then let's meet the judges shall we"
In the back stage the contestants were getting ready for the show, Karako peaked out into the audience just as the warden was introducing the judges.
"Okay everyone ready?" Karako said as she gave one last talk to the other contestants
"I think so…" Ganta said a little nervous
"Shiro's ready!"
"We don't know if we'll make it through but, well try our best" everyone nodded
"Remember if at least one of us wins then it'll be alright"
"Alright without further delay let's begin!" he said, "The rules are simple, best singer win, worst ones will be eliminated…and spend a couple of days and solitaire…so without further ado here's the first contestant!" he said, "Introducing, Vi-sion and Vi-sual!" the grouped seemed unnerved at the mention of the twins names, even the other contestants were in shock.
"So they did decide to enter the contest" Ganta was surprised and happy at the same time after the fight the others day
As their names were called, suddenly the room went dark,
"Oh may…"
"What's happening?"
Suddenly a beat began filling the room, organ keys and various other instruments creating a beat, the lights poured to the stage as the siblings walked on stage.
"This doesn't look good…" he watched the twins who didn't look like they were happy, he prayed that the two wouldn't kill each other or atleast not hurt anyone.
Once upon a time, yes, a very long time ago

"Now to your throne" the butler starts the show (Ready go!)
Ready go, a knife and a fork to point in your face, I'll take you any day

We're here to call to attention all of your mistakes

(Vi-sual giggled, as Vi-sion fumed at the others smugness)

Back to backing away, retreat

You know, I was talking to the prisoners and guards the other day and they all say the same thing, and I'm seriously beginning to get really pissed off at you because you always leave your mess around and then you just run off and leave me to clean it all up and borrowing my clothes like we have servants for this kind of thing but I guess what I'm really trying to say is you could probably be a bit more helpful around the room like actually clearing all your goddamn shit away when you're done with it and-oh god stop yelling just calm down a little-
SHUT UP! Ah geez...
God, you're like the weakest brother ever and you're so delicate, and I always have to be positive and proactive for you because you're just so goddamn dense sometimes and I just think you should at least try and appreciate what I'm doing for you because hey, I put up with all your bad habits too which get really annoying by the way, I don't think you really understand the lengths I go to just to try and keep this family together but sometimes it just doesn't work and I don't understand why you're getting all angry at me so I guess you're just my brother in name only
As the two argued and yelled at each other, amazingly in sync with the song and beat, they began throwing knives, spoons, and knives, from which no one knew where they came from, but they weren't going to get up and ask the two feuding siblings. As it continued many of the people in the audience were forced to take cover from flying silverware.

As the song was beginning to end the stage and most of the area, the auditorium was quite as the lights came on and the song ended. After a moment of awkward silence the crowd burst into a series of cheers and applause.
"They…liked it?"
"Well I'll be damned"
"Marvelous! Absolutely wonderful!" the warden applauded walking about onto the stage, "I think we have are winners, the Cardinal Twins!" the crowd continued to cheer
"They won?"
"But…what about the contest…"
"Through the scores out the window, I don't think any of the contestants could even come close to that marvelous display of silbing rivalry!" Tamaki said, the twins looked at him and…
"They're smiling?"
"They're not fighting?"
"What the hell weren't the two little brats at each other's throat's?"
"Something's fishy going on around here" Senji said
As the audience applauded and the two were accepting their prized suddenly they were pulled back by the other Deadman.
"Alright you little brat's talk" Crow demanded,
"Yeah why are you all happy, smiling, friends now?" Minatsuki added
"Huh?"
"Oh that…"
"Yeah we were just pretending to be angry and fight with each other"
"WHAT!?"
"Yeah the song you just heard was something we had been working on"
"When we sang it, the tune was all wrong"
"Since it was about two feuding siblings"
"We decided to find each other's flaws and argue about it"
"And I must say the song came out great" Vi-sion nodded
"You were just amazing brother!"
"You too sister, I swear I though you really wanted to cause me physical pain!"
"Oh you too kind, but I thought you actually thought I was a spoiled, selfish brat" Vi-sion added, "Also have you lost weight?"
"You noticed! Actually I have been doing this new exercise and…"
"Hold it!" the two stopped too see Crow
"You telling I apologized to you too brats and you weren't even fucking fighting!?" Minatsuki growled
"Well we couldn't brake character"
"Besides no offense, but you guys were very rude to us with your hurtful comments"
"I'll show you hurtful!" she growled as Yo and Crow held her back
"She's kinda right, you two shouldn't trick people like that" Ganta said
"We're sorry Ganta-chan"
"Yeah we didn't mean to make everyone upset" they said giving him the saddest puppy dog eyes
"We just wanted to win the prize for everyone"
"Please don't be made at us" they sniffled
"Aw man those eyes…" Crow groaned
"They're so sad and pathetic…" the girl said feeling her anger die
"I guess…they didn't cause any trouble…" Karako said, "Plus they did win the prize so I guess that's a plus"
"So you're not mad at us?"
The others looked at one another and shook their heads
"Yeah!" they cheered
"Were so happy!" they said
"Plus it will be extra special when we get are wish!" they said
"Hold on, what exactly did are you two gonna wish for?" Ganta asked
"Oh we already told the fox man are wish" Vi-sual said surprising everyone
"That's right the winner does get one wish"
Suddenly Karako moved passed everyone to squat down at eye level with the two twins
"If you two don't mind" the twins looked at the girl, "I'd like to make a deal with you two about that wish"
The two looked at each other, then back to her and choked their heads playfully
The Next Day…
"Well it did say they can have one wish…" Ganta sighed
"Yeah but this is two much…" Crow's eye twitched
"There is something seriously wrong with those two" Yo said
"True, but Karako was the one who agreed to this…"
"I actually like this!"
"You would Mockingbird" Crow growled, "Let's just get this over with and then never speak of this again" everyone nodded and prepared for what would be the most disturbing and worst day of their lives. Stepping out of the room the Deadman cried silently inside, per the agreement of Karako and the twins, the twins gave Karako their wish in return for a promise of their own. In some weird twist, the twins wanted all the prisoners in G-sector to cross-dress.
"This is embarrassing…" Yo cried silently, he was forced into a form fitting ruffled dress that made him look like the girl from little bow peep, the twins had even given him a toy sheep.
"At least you're covered…" Crow growled, he had been given a females police uniform, with skirt, heels, and black fishnets.
"Oh come on Crow-Crow you look cute~" Mockingbird teased, he had been given a pop-star like outfit, with blue shorts, pink and yellow stockings, party pop gym shows, a pink tank with matching chocker, various colored bangles, and hair clips.
"I feel so cute!" he laughed making others cringe, "And I must say you look so cute"
"Um thanks…I guess" Ganta had been giving a simple girls school uniform, the skirt was rather short and no one would admit it, but Ganta was actually adorable.
"Ganta looks pretty~" Shiro giggled, she was wearing a Gaukun uniform, forgoing the shows though
"Oh brother…" Minatsuki groaned, she looked like she was a part of a Yakuza gang, with an open jacket her middle half bandaged up, which her brother openly objected too.
"You all look so cute and cool!" the twins said walking into the building
"Hold up why aren't you two doing this cross-dress thing!" Crow said noting the twins style of dress
"Silly sexy Crow~"
"We are cross-dressing"
"Huh?" he said looking confused with everyone else in the room
"She's Vi-sual!" the red head pointed to the boy wearing the blue tux and bow tie
