A/N: So... it's been a while. This story has been eating me alive for so long now! I still really like my original idea, a lot, but I feel like I executed it badly. I'm not really expecting many of you to still be interested in this story, but for the few who are I have a huge favor to ask. Unfortunately this isn't a whole new chapter. Down below is a rewritten version of the dream sequence in chapter one, and I was hoping those interested could read them both and tell me which you prefer? If I do rewrite, I'm going to basically completely overhaul the new chapters (hopefully) in less than two weeks. Anyone who's eager to see new chapters soon, feel welcome to spam the reviews or my PM's. Hopefully I'll have this story moving forward and reading better than ever!

I appreciate the support, thanks!

*DREAM*

Running through the rain dampened streets with nothing but the sounds of my own heart beat and the splash of my boots over cobblestone. Block after block. Building after building. Until everything looked exactly the same.

It was a kind of agonizing torture. Running with no real end in sight, no idea where I was trying to go. Stopping meant it was all over. Everything. While there was something appealing about finally reaching the end, finally letting everything come to a stop, a bigger stronger part of me still refused to give up.

Just a little longer.

I ran until my lungs gave out, refusing to suck in the oxygen I so desperately needed. I took one last corner, slipped on the freezing water and caught myself on a jagged wall. An eternity passed there. Me fighting to breathe and my legs threatening to crumble. I was so sure I was dead.

A low chuckle met my ears, the sound piercing the crisp night air and sending a jolt down my spine. It was enough to send me stumbling back, ignoring my burning lungs and every aching bone in my body. I could make out a man dressed in a fine suit. Those piercing gold eyes burning through me.

"Having fun?"

A feral growl forced its way out of me. Starling me out of the haze that had fallen over me.

"Shut up… Noah"

The man seemed amused. His eyes, the only visible part of him, sparkling with amusement. I didn't need to see his face to know he was smirking.

"Still using that name as an insult are you? I'm curious, do you not remember you're one of us 'Dammed Noah'?"

Fear struck me, its icy tendrils squeezing my heart. I couldn't breathe, again. My racing heart and painfully tense muscles gave way to my fear, but I stood strong and my mask of anger never wavered.

"I am not one of you! Whatever Master had planned, and despite what anyone else has to say about it. I am an Exorcist!"

*DREAM end?*
