Ocean and Sky (a Final Fantasy X fic)

Disc.: I will never ever own 'Final Fantasy X' or any of its' wonderful characters, Square Enix will so stop asking useless questions!

A/N: So, I've decided to pump out another chapter! Not sure how many more there will be, but I'll try not to end it too soon. With that said, time to begin!

Ch.7- Moonflow and Guadosalam

Tidus and the other Guardians had managed to cross the Moonflow with the help of a strange creature called a Shoopuf, the blonde amazed at what Lulu had told him about the Moonflow lighting up at night like the stars with Pyrefly light. He made a promise to himself to bring Seymour there one night so they could watch it together, but was still slightly worn down after having to fight some Al Bhed underwater. Wakka was there to help, but it was still a pretty taxing battle…especially since Yuna was being held hostage and they couldn't risk getting her killed.

They'd managed to rescue her, and after making it across the Moonflow they were just a few hours outside Guadosalam when Rikku joined their party. Tidus still owed her big time for helping him when they found him inside Baaj Temple a while back, but he'd kept quiet about her being Al Bhed as a start.

Yuna told everyone to rest up for the night as they all checked into a small motel that somehow had room for all of them, but they had to share a room so everyone could sleep. Tidus ended up rooming with Rikku while Kimahri roomed with Auron, and Yuna shared a room with Wakka and Lulu. When morning came, they all set out for Guadosalam…the blonde wondering what they'd find when they got there. The raven haired woman could see Tidus brimming with a curious aura so she hung back to speak with him.

"Guadosalam is the Guado City. It's also Maester Seymour's hometown, where he was raised by his parents. You'll most likely find the majority of Spira's Guado population in that city, so don't be surprised if they start asking you lots of questions; they don't typically get many visitors from outside the city, and it might be a little overwhelming. I just thought you should know, since Seymour might be there as well."

At hearing Lulu mention the possibility of Seymour being in that city, the blonde's heart started beating a little quickly. Even though they'd only been away from each other for a little over a week, Tidus still missed his Guado mate terribly as he picked up his own pace a little bit. Everyone else just thought that the blonde was excited about seeing a new place, so they didn't mind his behavior too much as they finally entered Guadosalam.

The city itself had been carved into a mountain, with various shops and a few hotels as well as some midsized houses. They had bright signs and lights that seemed to illuminate the cave itself as a Guado male approached them with an accepting smile on his face.

"We have been expecting you, Lady Yuna. Welcome to Guadosalam."

"Thank you, Sir. These are my Guardians, and they shall accompany me."

"But of course, Lady Yuna. I am Tromell Guado." The older Guado male said as he shook Yuna's hand. His gaze then drifted to Tidus and spotted the mark on his skin, said mark being between his neck and shoulder as he smiled kindly at him before speaking.

"Who is the blonde youngster with you, m'lady Summoner?"

"Oh, that's Tidus."

"Ah, so he's the one that Seymour has been asking about. I did not expect him to have taken such a charming and attractive mate, so please allow me to say congratulations to both of you. Our dear Seymour is awaiting your presence at the dwelling of his only other living family: his aunt and uncle. Please follow me, Sir Tidus. I hope the rest of you do not mind us procuring him for a bit of time?"

Yuna looked a little disappointed, but covered it up with a cheery smile.

"Oh no, not at all. Please, take as much time with him as you need; we'll just look around the rest of the city."

"Excellent, Your Ladyship. Please come with me, Sir Tidus."

The blonde mouthed a 'thank you' to Yuna before walking off with Tromell, the brunette Summoner nodding at her friend before walking off into the city with her other Guardians at her side.

(With Seymour)

The Guado Maester was currently inside the manor home his father's sister and her husband shared, the manor having been left to Seymour in his will by his father Jyscal. Jessica, being the kindhearted woman she was, told her nephew that she'd more than happily take care of the house while he was busy with his Maester duties. All of them were enjoying a quiet afternoon of tea with small sweet cakes when a knock came to their door, Jessica's husband Pascal heading over to the door and opening it.

"Greetings, Tromell. What brings you to our home on this lovely afternoon?"

"Greetings to you as well, Pascal, and also to your lovely wife. I have brought the one whom Seymour requested, the young one named Tidus."

The blue haired Guado male looked at the blonde that was with Tromell and could very well understand why his nephew had taken him as a mate. He had short blonde hair the color of a spring wheat field, eyes as blue as a topaz crystal, and skin that was pale yet very much sun kissed as he moved aside to allow Tidus into the manor. Tromell then left after saying goodbye and smiled gently at Tidus.

"Welcome to our home, young one. I am Pascal Guado, the husband of Seymour's aunt Jessica. Please follow me to the family room, wherein my wife and your mate are waiting for you."

"Thank you." The blonde said as he followed after the blue haired Guado male until they reached a wooden door, Pascal opening it and allowing the blonde to head into the room first before closing the door behind him.

The room had soft wooden floors with a woven carpet covering it, a table with a pair of couches in the room. Seymour was sitting on one of them, and as soon as the two mates looked at each other, the atmosphere in the room became happier as Tidus sat down next to Seymour; Pascal took his place next to his wife, the blonde looking at the Guado woman. She had dark blue-grey hair and bright green eyes that held kindness in their depths, her skin as pale as Seymour's as she smiled warmly at him.

"Seymour, dear, is this boy the one you've been telling us about?"

"Yes, aunt Jessica…this is Tidus. He is my mate, and my fiancé as of 4 months ago. We plan to be wed after Miss Yuna completes her pilgrimage, and it would mean the world to both of us if we received your blessings."

"Well, who are we to deny you boys that much? Tidus, Seymour, your aunt and I both give you our blessings. May you have a very happy and prosperous marriage." Pascal said with a smile on his face, his nephew returning it with one of his own as Jessica walked up to Tidus.

"Seymour, honey, may I borrow your fiancé for a few minutes? I have something I wish to show him."

"Of course."

"Thank you, dear. Come with me, Tidus."

The blonde didn't really get a chance to protest as he was pulled out of the room by his mate's aunt, who seemed to have more strength than he thought. After walking down a hall with her, the dark blue-grey haired Guado woman opened a door with the Guado symbol on it and pulled her soon-to-be son-in-law into the room with her. She then turned on the lights and the blonde got a good look at the room, Tidus whistling in appreciation.

"This is a very special room, Tidus. Seymour's father used it to keep his most prized possession, and I think that he'd be very happy to see you wear it."

At her words, Tidus was confused.

"Um…wear what?"

Jessica merely giggled before she approached an armoire with two thin wooden doors that had elegant gold leaf carving in it.

"This, Tidus." The dark blue-grey haired Guado woman said before she opened the doors and revealed the most beautiful white robes the blonde had ever seen.

They were the color of polished ivory that was as soft as the finest silk when the blonde was able to run his hands across the fabric, a metal neck piece separating the hood from the rest of the robes. The metal itself was gold painted steel with gemstones affixed into it, the white fabric having some blue thread stitched into it. The hood had a small cape attached to it that stopped just below his back, a deep blue sash with different colored pearls on metal tied to the middle that stopped at his waistline. The robe had long sleeves that stopped at his fingers, the same blue thread on the ends of the sleeves.

"Do you like it, Tidus?"

"Yeah…it's beautiful. But where are the rest of the robes?"

"That's the top half. The bottom halves are kept in a chest beneath the armoire."

"Halves?"

"Yes. This robe is meant to be worn by either a male or a female, and it belonged to Seymour's mother. It's worn by the submissive partner, and while the top half stays the same between either gender, the bottom half changes depending on who the submissive partner is. Since you're male, the bottom half in on top inside the chest."

Tidus was about to ask her what she meant when Jessica reached down and opened up a small drawer under the armoire, the dark blue-grey haired Guado woman grabbing a light brown wooden chest and opening it. Jessica then pulled out the bottom half of the robes, which resembled the bottom half of a priest's robe but it stopped at a few inches above his ankles. They were the same white as the top half and also had the blue thread stitched into it.

"These robes are really beautiful, but what are they for?"

"They're wedding robes, Tidus. They're for you to wear when you walk down the aisle, and I'm hoping your mother will give you away. I'm sure that she'd be so happy to see her baby boy get married."

The blonde sighed at the mention of his mother, tears threatening to fall but he blinked them away.

"I'm afraid that she can't. She died when I was little."

"Oh dear…I'm so sorry."

"It's alright, Miss Jessica. You didn't know, and that's okay. Actually, if you don't mind, could you be the one to give me away at the wedding?"

The dark blue-grey haired Guado woman was surprised that the blonde would ask her to do something like that, but smiled happily nonetheless.

"I would love to, Tidus. Thank you. Now then, let's get you fitted into those robes so we won't have to do it right before the wedding."

The next 20 minutes were spent making sure the robes weren't too tight or loose, and after she was done, she had Tidus look at himself in the mirror next to the armoire. The blonde was shocked at how he looked, the robes making him look like a white mage as he smiled joyfully.

"You look beautiful, Tidus." Jessica said as she helped the blonde out of the robes and back into his other clothes, the dark blue-grey haired Guado woman placing the robes back into their proper places as they rejoined Seymour and Pascal.

"I see you're both back. What were you two doing, anyway?" the older blue haired Guado male asked his wife and soon-to-be son-in-law.

"I was getting Tidus fitted in the robes for the wedding."

"I'm sure he looked absolutely stunning in those white robes, didn't he aunt Jessica?" Seymour asked, the dark blue-grey haired Guado woman smiling at her nephew before answering his question.

"You'll just have to see for yourself when you two get married, Seymour."

The next hour was spent talking about what would happen at the wedding, as well as setting a date before they all realized that it was dark out. Rather than let his lover go out into the darkened city, Seymour had one of the other Guado send a message to Yuna and her Guardians that Tidus would be spending the night with him as they retired to their room. The blue haired Guado Maester pulled his blonde mate close to his body as they fell asleep in each other's arms, both of them smiling contentedly.

The next morning, Tidus enjoyed breakfast with Seymour and his family before he had to leave, the two mates sharing a quick yet passionate kiss as the blonde left the house and rejoined his friends on their pilgrimage.

The blue haired Guado Maester prayed to Yevon that Tidus would come back to him, alive and healthy, where he belonged.

T.B.C.- Whew, that's done. I'm relatively pleased with this story so far, but I may add some jealous Yuna into it at some point. Til then, hope you guys like it, and let me know if you guys want any other sort of lemony goodness besides SeymourxTidus. I'll readily take your suggestions, but don't go overboard and ask me to do something that doesn't either belong or make any sense to the story.
