HEY! I'm back with another chapter!
Reviews:
(To: SugarQueen97) I don't think 'in love' is a right word to be honest. I think 'crush' is way more fitting for the situation. I didn't like Oskar in the original show, so I replaced Star's crush with Mako instead. Just to spice things up a bit, you know?
The main focus of this chapter is to see how unique I can set Mako's friends and their interactions. Will it be boring like his previous ones? Or will it actually be enjoyable unlike Ferguson and Alfonzo (I don't hate the dudes, but they're pretty boring after Daron ditched them).
One more thing, I will introduce three new characters in this chapter. So keep an eye out for them.
But enough of that, let's get on with this chapter.
Disclaimer: Star vs. The Forces of Evil belongs to Daron Nefcy.
Story and OC are mine.

"All done!" Mako said with a toothy grin as he faced the finished product. "So, what do you think? Mr. Laurence?"
"We worked hard on it." James then placed his arm around Mako. "I think twenty bucks is enough for our extraordinary service."
The only one who didn't add to the commentary was Ethan; who had his face buried on his palm. The man named Laurence looked at the product wide-eyed. Both in shock and in anger. After being persuaded into hiring the three boys to fix his sink, it will be very understandable as why he's angry.
Flashback
"Darn, the sink is broken and the mechanics I've been talking to cost way too much for someone with like me." Laurence cursed to himself as he walked out a building for mechanical services. "If only there were a couple of people who fix everything for a cheap price."
Right as the man walked outside the building, he saw three boys standing behind the stall from across the street. One was wearing a windbreaker with an eyepatch on his left eyes, seems like he was standing as if he was the cashier. One was wearing a yellow shirt with oversized pants, he looked like he was in charge of advertising their business. And the last one had a blue vest with jet-black glasses, he was arranging something from behind the stall.
"Mechanics for hire!" The boy whose in charge of advertising yelled. "We can fix anything! From sinks and toilets to bicycles and cars! All for a cheap price!"
Curious of what the boys had to offer, Laurence went towards their stall. "Hey, you guys said you were doing jobs, right?"
"Yes we are, my fellow customer." James answered proudly. "We're doing this because we want your money- I-I mean, to help the neighborhood with fixing stuff! You do know how much it cost to afford a so-called 'expert mechanic', right?"
"Too much." Laurence answered.
"Why do that, when you can have us!" James then pulled Mako and Ethan towards him and 'hugged' them. "We work like magic when you hire the three of us!"
"So, what do you say? Deal or no deal?" James then reached out his hand.
Flashback end.
The sink was a complete mess. The only problem it had earlier was that the pipe was leaking some water, which was why he hired the guys in the first place. He knew it was a simple enough task for these kids to tackle. Since he didn't know how to fix the sink and didn't want to hire someone expensive just to fix a leak. From a simple leak in the pipes, turned into a water fountain that sprayed water all over the place. And if that wasn't enough, the wall behind the sink had a gaping hole in it.
Laurence's eye twitched furiously before turning to the boys in blind rage...
"YOU BUFFOONS RUINED MY SINK!" Laurence shouted at the three of them were supposed to be with all of his rage. "YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS!"
All he saw were the outlines of where the boys were originally at. "WHAT THE-"
XxXxX
"I told you it was a bad idea!" Ethan scolded as he slowed down from his running. "Even though we had no knowledge of mechanics, yet you two were still insistent on doing it!"
"Not my fault!" Mako retorted as he slowed down as well. "James told me it was foolproof!"
"And you trusted him?!" Ethan waved his arms for emphasis. "You do know his plans mostly fail, right?!"
"He was convincing!"
"That's not an excuse to trust him like that!"
"ENOUGH! James shouted before punching the nearby wall in frustration. "I'm already pissed off at the fact that we didn't make a single buck out of that! If you two keep on fighting on how terrible of a entrepreneur I am, then I'll shut you two with my own goddamn fist if I have to!"
This caused the two of them to stop bickering. They knew not to mess around when James' scams and pranks fail, especially the one he thought were master-level scams. Sure, most of his scams ended up crashing into a wall, but at least he had money in the end! This scams was one of the few times he'd make an effort to create something and fail without even getting a single penny. Calming down and sighing, James turned to his friends before saying, "Sorry, kinda went overboard there."
"Understatement for the day." Both boys responded.
James merely chuckled at the comment. "Shut up you two." He then gave them a little smile. "C'mon let's go to Britta's Tacos. I'll even pay for your tacos."
"Really?" Both asked at the same time. Mako out of excitement, and Ethan out of confusion.
"Wait, are you actually doing this?" Ethan asked.
"Yeah, James! You're actually treating us a free meal?!" Mako excitedly grinned.
"Of course not!" James answered back in a venomous tone. "Do I look like some kind of millionaire to you two?!"
"Nope." A feminine third-party voice answered, which made the James shrink in fear. "But I do see someone handsome in front of me."
"Oh shit.../Oh no.../You're screwed, James..." James/Ethan/Mako said in unison; internally.
James turned around to see a girl with cat ears heading towards them; mainly James. She had short orange hair that came with an orange cat-ears headband. She was wearing a brown windbreaker (one that similar of design to James' windbreaker) with an orange T-shirt underneath and skinny jeans. Green eyes and a cute face was also planted on her head. The girl was a bit shorter than James and Mako, albeit taller than Ethan. She grinned as she skipped towards James; who was slowly backing off.
"Hey there, James~" She then shortened the gap between their faces by coming up to him real close. "Are you busy by any chance?"
"W-Why?" He tried to sound intimidating, but his nervousness got the best of his voice.
"Oh, I just wanted a date that's all." She answered too casually for them to believe her. "I do want to hang out with my mad dog after all..."
That sole sentence alone made him shiver with many emotions. Shiver in fear, shiver in pain, and so much more. Finally backing away from the girl, he slowly regained his composure and said, "I don't want to."
"Oh come on!" She stomped her feet and puffed her cheeks. "I'm not that bad of a girlfriend."
"Tell that to the last time you tried to date him without us looking out for you two." Ethan said in a deadpan voice. "It did not end that well to be perfectly honest with you."
"Hmm..." She leaned in James once again, except she was rubbing her chin. "What if I tell you that I'll give you free money if you become my boyfriend?"
"Oh please Nora, you know James won't fall for-"
"You serious?!" James cut Ethan off.
"...That." Ethan bitterly finished.
"I could smell the stupidity right off you, y'know?" Mako added. "And that's something coming from a person like me."
Now James was a sucker for money, no doubt about it. If he sees a quarter on the ground, he takes it and claims ownership if anyone else tried to take it. He sees a job with money as a rewards, he does the job. Although not meeting expectations. He sees a chance to scam someone, he'll create a convincing one to trick people into giving him money. Like seriously, a penny to him is worth a million dollars to his eyes. Granted, he's not poor. But he's not that rich of a person either. He has a simple saying when it comes to cash, 'Life is like a game of money. The ones who have the most is the one who gets the most control of everyone.'
Basically, he was a slut for cash...
Or he's just an expensive male prostitute. It's one or the other.
Nora Richards. Only child of the Richard family and the only one not afraid of James (Not including Mako and Ethan). Nora is a very cunning person whenever it came to schemes and also has a very large crush for our man with one eye. No, scratch that. She will actually do just about anything just to make James hers. Not including her current plan to make sure James is her soon-to-be boyfriend, she's put in a sizeable amount of effort in her schemes. More than James and Mako ever did with his scams (James was the one who planned most of their scams, Mako simply saw it as a chance to actually do something whenever he was bored by himself.)
"Of course I am." She grinned as she pulled out twenty bucks from her pocket. "Twenty for a day. Is that enough for you?"
"Please don't tell me he's going to say-" Ethan started yet again.
"Deal!"
"..." The boy with glasses had his eyes twitching in frustration. "Who do people like to keep interrupting-"
"You?" Mako finished for him, just to take the piss out of him. "What did I do?" He said a little bit too innocently.
"I hate all of you." Ethan simply hung his head.
"Don't worry, we love you as well." Mako laughed.
"So, let make it official." Nora then reached her hand out. "Just shake this hand, and a daily supply of twenty bucks is yours."
James was also about to grab her hand, until Mako decided to stop him. "No! Don't do it!" He quickly grabbed James by the legs and pulled him with all of his might. This caused the cyclops to drop down to his face without any warning. "Do not defect to the dark side!"
"Mako, let go of me!" James angrily commanded. "It's a deal of a lifetime! I can't just leave it like this!"
"Look at me, kitty cat!" He then stared down the orange-haired woman; causing her to jump a bit in surprise. "You may be pretty, you may possibly be a great girlfriend to James, but you will never take him alive!"
"Hey!" James called out. "I wasn't about to become her boyfriend! She told me she was going to give me twenty dollars every day if I shake her hand!"
"Didn't you hear the first part of the deal?" Ethan asked as he sighed at the stupidity of the situation. "You were so focused on the reward for the deal that you didn't even hear that you need to be her boyfriend to get it."
James then started sweating at himself as he realized that he almost got tricked using money once again. "Heh heh, did I really almost agree to that?"
"Yes. Yes you did." Both Mako and Ethan answered simultaneously.
"You're not going anywhere!" Nora then grabbed James by the wrists and started pulling him towards her.
"Not on my watch!" Mako then started pulling him as well, forcing James to be lifted from the ground and slowly get murdered by two people.
"OW! That hurts!" He tried to wriggle out of their grip, but they weren't budging.
Mako and Nora then played a game of tug of war with James as the rope. Mako was pulling James towards him, before Nora got the upper hand and pulled the cyclops towards her. The cycle of pulling James towards each other kept on going and going until Ethan interfered with the childish battle. Getting in between the two players, he shoved Mako out if the way and slapped Nora's hand harshly; both forcing them to drop James onto the floor. Mako felt guilty for hurting James immensely while Nora was more than annoyed after failing to get James to become her boyfriend. Twice.
Mako scratched the back of his head while laughing awkwardly. "Heh heh, too much?"
James silently got up and faced the banana-looking boy. A dark aura surrounded him as he slowly made his way to Mako. Each foot step felt like it was its own separate earthquake. In return, Mako was slowly backing off as well. It had gotten to a point where James held Mako in the air on his collar and was pretty much choking the boy.
"Yup, this is it." Mako internally said as his world was slightly going black. "You screwed up big time, Mako."
But before James could leave any permanent injuries on him, Nora then spoke up.
"Hey, doggie! I got your wallet!" Nora grinned as she opened it and looked inside.
Immediately, the cyclops dropped the contact-wearing boy; who was gasping for air.
"Wait...!" James then checked his pockets to see if it was his, and lo behold, it was. "How did you get my wallet?!"
"I ain't telling you!" She then stuck her tongue out before running away; laughing. "Catch me if you can!"
"Give me back my money!" James soon chased after her.
Ethan and Mako didn't bother following him and decided to go home instead. Ethan had better things to do while Mako just didn't want to be strangled by James yet again.
Mako really did owe Nora one. She might be playful and crazy, but she's like a guardian angel wherever it comes to distracting people.
"Hmm. I guess it's just good karma." Mako said to himself as he walked outside the park with Ethan.
"Maybe, or maybe not." He simply answered before separating with him. "See you later, contacts."
"Real funny coming from you, four eyes."
And CUT!
And this is an explanation for the original readers of 'Brothers And Sisters' (Before Revision).
Okay, let me explain a bit about Nora. Remember Jenny? The one who was extremely clingy to Mako every time she met him. Well same goes for Nora, but it's with James and not as clingy. Just like Jenny, she's willing to do anything to get her man. But here's the thing. Nora is different in both appearance and attitude. Jenny more of a person that doesn't take a 'no' from her lover while Nora is more of a person who just uses tricks to get James. Jenny is aggressive in terms of interactions with Mako while Nora is more playful when it comes to James.
Basically, Jenny was an okay character for me in the original. But she didn't turn out the way I wanted her to be, same goes of Ema, Jason, and Oliver. Heck, most of the original characters here took inspiration from the original. Ethan originated from Ema, except he doesn't have the cuteness and is straightforward with everyone. Mako's lack in punctuality just came from Oliver's sleeping habits. Nora is basically Jenny with a better personality. The only original one was James, attitude-wise and appearance-wise.
Please do tell me if you're liking the new characters or not. I do try to make them better than the last version of this story. If you have a problem of a suggestion with them, please tell me in form of reviews or PM.
Reviews are love. They inspire me to write things. The review can be a compliment, complaint, suggestion, and even criticism.
That's all for now and I'll see you in the next chapter.
Crazyman out.
