Chapter 7

She heard people talking then she opened her eyes. Her head felt better and everything was blurry but then it all came into focus. She was on a bed and a strange man was holding her wrist. He smiled and she saw how white his teeth was.

"Hey there she is! I was getting worried, a few minutes more and I was going to call the ambulance"
She groaned and touched her head.

"You didn't hurt your head but I do suggest a couple Motrin and maybe a trip to the ER if you feel anymore sicker."
She shook her head.

"No no need for that..."
He looked at her eyes with a flashlight and got up. He was dressed to the nines and had a top hat underneath his arm.

"Dr. Perry at your service and shook her hand"
She managed a small smile.

"Thank you doctor...can...can I go home now?"
He shrugged putting his small flashlight in his front pocket and smoothed his tie.

"I will let them know downstairs that you are requesting a ride home and I'm pretty sure this young man is anxious to talk to you"
He left the room and Kerry sat up.
Ethan was sitting in the corner with his hands together looking at her. He looked worried and furious before he came to sit by her.
Her head was starting to hurt again and suddenly she started to cry.

"Ethan please get me out of here"
He grabbed her and held her.

"yes my Kerry I will"
He gathered her up with the wrap around her and picked her up. He carried her downstairs never lessening his hold but instead held his head against hers. He helped her into the limo and she cried the whole way home and fell asleep as they reached the city with Ethan holding her tightly against him.

She felt Ethan carry her and it was bitterly cold before they entered his apartment. He turned on the fireplace and grabbed a thick comforter for her before sitting in front of her. She wasn't crying but felt severely numb inside. She had so much to say to him and most of it was to be mad but she was suddenly so very tired. He didn't say anything but instead took off her shoes and placed them by the couch before rubbing her feet and putting the blanket around them. He grabbed a cup of water and handed it to her and sat beside her.

She took a sip before putting her head on his chest.
"What are we doing Ethan?"

She felt him go still before he put his hands around her.
"oh Kerry I'm so sorry, I want to explain"

She thought about it and then shook her head.
"I'm so tired Ethan, bring me to bed"

He didn't say anything but instead gathered her up and brought her upstairs. He didn't bring her into the room that she was in before but instead this must have been his room. He placed her on the bed and he started to move away before she grabbed his hand and stood up. She put her hands on his chest, he started put her hand down but she put a hand to his lips.

"Shh..let me"
She slowly unbuttoned his shirt and he shrugged it off before it fell to the floor. She unhooked the clasp on the back of her dress and he unzipped it. He kissed her slowly and let the dress fall the floor. His hands were on her back and she pulled him closer deepening the kiss before he pushed her onto the bed. He kissed her neck and down her chest before he stood up and took off his pants and belt. She could see the outline of him from the outside lights and he was so amazingly handsome and he was so gentle with her. He continued to kiss her and she managed to get her underwear off before he stopped her.

"Are you sure about this?"
She nodded.

"Don't stop"
He stared at her and seemed to be thinking it over. He brushed her hair away from her face and then kissed her throat.

"Oh my kerry"
She felt a small pain on her neck and then nothing but sweetness. She pulled him closer and he grabbed her even tighter before entering her and then it was nothing but pleasure and only Ethan.

She looked at him and he smiled at her before kissing her forehead and pulling her closer. She realized how naked she was but before she could grab the blanket he put it over them and pulled her closer and put a hand over her eyes.

"Sleep now my sweet Kerry...Dawn comes"
She didn't say anything and hugged him closer before he went to sleep. When she knew he was asleep, she moved carefully away and off the bed before she grabbed his shirt and put it on. It smelled of him and she moved to the window. It was almost dawn, she wondered for a moment if he had an internal clock for it and realized it was probably such a small thing to him. She put her hand on the window and then sat on the floor, it was so beautiful outside. She put a hand to her neck and it was sore and then she cried. She must have sat on the floor sobbing quietly before the whirring sound started and the big dark heavy curtains were closing. She rubbed her eyes and then moved away from the window. Her head was starting to hurt and she looked at Ethan on the bed before the light completely went out. He was so perfect and still on the bed, she felt his shirt in her hand and then moved towards the bed. She slowly gathered up her dress and underwear and moved downstairs. She looked outside and saw that the sun was casting a gray shade over the city. She put everything back on and used her phone to text a taxi to the address.

As they were pulling away she looked up at the window that would be Ethan's and she felt a single tear roll down her cheek. It didn't matter anymore, nothing mattered. She got a text and opened her phone.

[Dad: We need to talk]
[Kerry: We will give me time]

She turned off her phone and stared out the window and her right eye got blurry. She blinked and it didn't go away. She closed her eyes.

"enough" she whispered.

"Ma'm? it's almost dawn and we must go"
The redhead closed her phone and stared out the window.
She saw the girl leave the apartment and enter the taxi.
Waving her hand she closed the screen on the windows.

"Get me home and remember use the back garage"
She closed the partition and the man started to the move the car.
