Alright, so we'll just have to see how this chapter goes. I've been a little distracted these past few days, still am, but I don't want to wait until my mind gets back on track to write this chapter, because it could be forever. So, I'll be writing this chapter as good as I can now.

Because of Dojo, the Xiaolin monks also knew about the newly activated Shen Gong Wu and, obviously, were going after it too. The four monks, Jade, and Hsi Wu, rode on top of Dojo as he flew them to the location of the Shen Gong Wu. As they flew, Kimiko read from the scroll which Shen Gong Wu they were looking for.

"It's called the Yami Globe," Kimiko says, showing the moving pictures on the scroll to Jade. "It allows the user to travel through the shadows, just as long as there are shadows to travel through."

"Sounds like the Shadowkahn." Jade says, "That would be useful for sneak attacks."

"Which is why we really need to get this one," Raimundo says, "I'd rather us had the Wu that let's us travel through shadows than for Wuya or someone else to have it."

"Well, it looks like you kids are going to have to fight for this one," Dojo says as they fly lower. "we have company." They all look below and see that the Heylin people are already there, standing just a few feet away from the Shen Gong Wu, but they weren't taking it. Almost as if they were waiting for the Xiaolin monks to arrive.

"I have a bad feeling about this." Raimundo says as they land.

"Maybe they're here to make peace and join the forces of good," Omi suggests hopefully.

"Yeah, somehow I doubt that's it." Kimiko says. "They're definitely up to something."

"Running a little late, are we?" Wuya says, "You know, if this was any other day, we would've taken the Shen Gong Wu by now and been long gone."

"So, why didn't you?" Omi asks. All the others were wondering the same thing.

"Wuya was wanting to test little Val here, and that test includes winning a Shen Gong Wu in a showdown." Jack says with a frown. He really didn't seem happy that they didn't take the Wu before the monks got there.

Val, who's Val?" Omi asks.

"I already told you, my name's not Val, it's Valmont." Valmont snarls. "Why do you insist on calling me that?"

"Because you insist on being annoyed by it." Jack mutters.

"So you've found a new lackey," Kimiko says, "So what? All the other henchmen you found we've handled easily, what makes you think he's any different?"

"Why do you think we're testing him?" Wuya says.

"Let's just get this over with already," Valmont says, "If you children want the Shen Gong Wu, you're going to have to fight me for it." Now that Valmont had come forward and Jade was able to get a good look at him she burst into laughter on the spot.

"Wow, Valmont, you got turned into a little kid again?" Jade laughs. "and also, may I just say that the fox look suits you." she adds sarcastically.

"Yes, you can thank your little demon friend for this, or at least for me being a child again." Valmont says as he sends a glare Hsi Wu's way. Jade looks over at Hsi Wu too.

"You did that?" She asks. The boy shrugged as if it were nothing, but his eyes were mischievous. "But why?"

"That man called me weak and pathetic." The demon boy says, "he had to learn respect. He also said I was childish, but that I don't mind so much."

"Why, because it's true?" Jade asks. Hsi Wu just shrugs again and Jade knew that she was right on the mark. Even Hsi Wu knew that he was childish.

"Enough chatter," Valmont says, "One of you come forward already."

"I'll do it," Clay volunteers. He and Valmont step up to the Shen Gong Wu and grab it at the same time.

"Valmont, I challenge you to a xiaolin showdown." Clay says. "The game is a simple race. First to get to the Shen Gong Wu wins."

"I accept your challenge," Valmont says, "My Mask of the Fox Spirit against your Fancy Feet." Wuya had told Valmont beforehand which Shen Gong Wu to wager against. Valmont knew what he was doing, but none of the monks believed it.

"Uh, ya sure you wan' me to use the Fancy Feet?" Clay says, "It is a race."

"I am well aware of that," Valmont says, "And yes, I am sure, we might as well make this a fair match."

"Well, if yer sure." Clay says.

"Quite sure," Valmont says, "Now, let's do this, Xiaolin Showdown." immediately the ground beneath their feet started to change. Everyone except Valmont and Clay were lifted into the air on pillars of sorts to watch the showdown. The rest of the land leveled out into a clear terrain, except that every few seconds boulders or trees would appear out of the ground. Part of the race was to be able to dodge the obstacles.

"Gong yi tempai." Clay and Valmont say, and they quickly set off. Because Clay had the fancy feet he could run much faster than Valmont could. Soon Clay was far ahead and he and the other Xiaolin monks believed that he had this showdown in the bag. Unfortunately, super speed doesn't mean super reflexes. A short while into the showdown a boulder came up just ahead of of Clay, and he couldn't stop in time and ended up running straight into the rock, just as Valmont knew he would.

While Clay was dazed from his meeting with the rock, Valmont took the opportunity to pull ahead. He may not be able to run as fast as Clay was able to with the Fancy Feet, but thanks to Mask of the Fox Spirit, he was able to run about twice as fast as is normal for humans. Valmont now also had the reflexes of a fox, so he was able to easily avoid any obstacles that came up in his way.

Clay soon came out of his daze and went running after Valmont, desperate to get ahead, but Clay was continually stopped by trees or rocks that got in his way. So it was surprising, though maybe not so much, that Valmont was the first to reach the Shen Gong Wu, winning the showdown. Once Valmont touched the globe, everything went back to normal, except now Valmont was in possession of the Fancy Feet. Wuya was fairly impressed by Valmont's performance, while Jack was just jealous.

"There's no way you could have won when the cowboy had the Fancy Feet, you must've cheated somehow." Jack says.

"It's not cheating, it's called strategizing, moron." child Valmont says, rolling his eyes.

"Hey, I'm an evil genius, not a moron." Jack whines.

"I'm sure you are." Valmont says, as if speaking to a small child. Jack glares at Valmont, gets his heli-pack out, and flies off without another word.

"Ignore Jack, he's not worth it." Wuya says to Valmont.

"I am too." They hear Jack whine from the air.

"Right, well, let's take a look at this Wu you got here." Wuya says as she takes the globe from Valmont and admires it. "Yes, I think that this could come in some use."

"Definitely," Valmont agrees. "And I know just how we can use it." He says as he casts a look over to the Xiaolin monks as they fly away.

Well lookie there, I wrote it, and it's not too bad...I don't think. Anyways, sorry about the crappiness in the writing of the showdowns...I'm really not good at writing physical fights at all.
