Okay, I am back with another part to the next chapter to the Cousland Story and I think that it had been going great. Leliana was starting to kill Raven or should I say Kenshin in his sleep. Morrigan was teaching him a lession about relying on the Duel sword. I have been thinking about this chapter and I know that this chapter will get good. I don't own none of the Dragon age character.

Travel to Redcliffe
Raven started walking back to the camp and he had some fire wood on his side. He noticed that everyone was looking at him and they were concern about him except for Leliana. She was hoping that he was attack by wolves. Alistair was helping him with the fire wood and he needed help and Raven looked at Morrigan for a moment and he went back to his tent to get some time to him.
"Hey wait, There is someone that I want you to meet and he say that Duncan promise him to help him." said Alistair.
"What's his name?" said Raven
"Levi Dryden, the name. I have heard about the Grey Wardens for a while now. Your order are legendary." said Levi
Both Alistair and Raven was confuse because they haven't done anything yet but they started to like the praise. Levi was explaining to them about his family's history and he was telling them about the Warden Keep. They both never knew that Warden Keep before. Then Levi display the Warden Keep on the map and Raven saw somenthing that was on the same route as the Keep. It was Kenshin Cousland's homeland Highever and he started to smile for a moment. Leliana listen on the idea while she was eating her stew that Alistair had made for everyone.
"I will take you to the Warden keep, but we might need an army at our side at the moment because we got a huge war with the Darkspawn." said Raven
"Oh, that is right. Right now, you need to get some warriors that you all need to help your war." said Levi
Raven started to leave to think about the idea and Alistair went to find the something to do while he waited for him. Leliana just looked at Raven for a good minute which Alistair caught her staring at Raven. He just smiled at the chantry sister for a moment and Leliana looked at him for a moment and she had a confuse looked on her face. Alistair calm down for a little bit to tell her.
"So, are you curious about your fearless leader?" said Alistair
"What?! I do not like him! I looked at the sword that he was carrying on his side." said Leliana
"Right and I am a dwarven waitress that wanted to have sex with every dwarf in Thedas." said Alistair
Leliana was getting upset with this and she started to head to her tent to rest and he just smile at the poor woman. Sten was standing outside of Raven's tent and he knew that he have question that only Raven know the answer. Raven was looking at his hound and he could tell that Fang was getting bored. He felt that someone was waiting outside of his tent and he turned around to see that it was Sten. Then he started to walk out of his tent for a moment and he looked at qunari. Sten noticed that Raven had carried two swords in one sheath and Raven had a confuse look on his face because he noticed that the qunari was creeping him out.
"I have a question. Why do you have two swords in one sheath. Is it some kind of fighting style." said Sten.
"Yes it is because it has been in my family for many generation. These swords was past down from the teyrn to prince. My grandfather had past it down to my father and my father had past it down to me. Well, it was suppose to my older brother but he just gave it to me because I loved twin swords ever since I was a child." said Raven
"Amazing, can I see the craffsmanship of the blade." said Sten
"Of course." said Raven
Raven unsheathed the duel swords and he hand it to sten for him to look at. Sten was impressed that the blade and amazing craftsmanship. Then Raven told him that blade was made out of pure dragon fangs and so was the sheath. Sten swing the swords left and right and he like it when it cut through the wind. Leliana just sat there and she was getting even more upset that Sten was playing with the swords. Sten sheathed both of the swords into the sheath and he handed it back to Raven. Leliana just got up and she started to work into the forest for a moment.
"Where are you going Leliana." said Alistair
"To get more fire wood because we're low." said Leliana
'Maybe you sure get someone to go with you. Raven, you should go with her." said Alistair
"Fine." said Raven
Then Raven followed Leliana into the forest and Raven noticed something was up with the chantry sister. He started cutting tree branches and he manage to make a pile of the sticks. Leliana noticed that Raven had his back turned to her and she knew that now is the time. She reach for her daggers and she close her eyes to pray for forgiveness to the Maker.
"What are you doing?" Raven asked
"Asking for forgiveness." Leliana answered
"For what reason?" Raven asked, he walked up to her to look over her shoulders.
"For this!" yelled Leliana
She started attacking him and Raven started dodge her attacks because he was confuse for some reason. He backed up to a tree and when Leliana brought her daggers down, she missed and hit the tree. Raven unsheathed his sword but he started using a one handed sword style. They both started clashing weapon at each other but Raven was on the defense. Leliana had kicked him in the gut and she was able to cut him. Raven started to hold his side for a moment because the pain was coursing through his body. She was getting ready to stab him in the chest, but Raven manage to knock one of her daggers out of her hand. He pushed her to tree and he holded her in place. He looked at her for a moment and he saw that rage in her blue eyes. He also saw that she had tears in her eyes because she felt hurt for some reaon.
"I could tell that you have known the truth about the slaughtered of the people of Highever." said Raven
"Yes, his name was Kenshin Cousland and my heart was stolen by him. I never knew that he was gone. You carry those sword on your side which disturb his resting place." said Leliana
"Listen. I will not give up on these swords because they were mine in the first." said Raven
"So, you just kill the man that was going to be the next line to take the throne in the highever." said Leliana
She looked at Raven and she had tears in the bard's eyes and Raven knew that he was going to have to tell her but he didn't want to. He knew that the mission had to come first before love and he wanted the man that robbed Kenshin of his home and family. Leliana started to leave and she was knew that she wasn't going to trust him. Raven just look at the direction that she had taken and he started to cut down some more branches to gather the fire wood, but he started get some water. Then he looked into the water and he saw the reflection of Kenshin Cousland.
"I can't believe you that you would do such a thing to her." said Kenshin
"You are the one that seek me out in order to find revenge not pleasure." siad Raven
"She really need to honor the lost of Cousland." said Kenshin
"But the Cousland is not dead becuase you are still alive." said Raven
The image of the Kenshin started to disappear and Raven started walking back to camp. When he return to camp, he saw that Alistair was looking at him. Alistair was upset because he saw that Leliana was crying on the way back into camp and Raven just walked towards to place the fire wood in a pile. Sten was looking at him which he didn't care about what had happened in the forest. He walked towards his tent and he knew that he need to get some sleep. Fang was panting because he was happy to see his master return from his hunt in the forest.
"What is your problem? You pushed away a lot of friend that wanted to help you." said Alistair
"I am not looking to make friends. I have only one goal and that is to kill a man named Arl Howe." said Raven
He walked to his tent to get some trest in order to take the watch and he saw that his hound was panting with happiness because fang was happy to see his master was back from his mission. Raven petted him on the head and he lay down and the hound was laying next to his master. He started to went to sleep and Leliana just looked at the money pouch that Kenshin had given to her. She had tears dropping on it and she knew that she wasn't going to trust him.
"I will never going to tell you how I feel about you Kenshin Cousland." said Leliana
=== Next morning ===
Raven was walking with Terra and he saw that Alistair, Morrigan, and Leliana was ride in Bodahn carriage. Sten was walking on the side of the carriage. Raven looked at the sky for a moment and he knew that something was wrong and he got on his horse. He ride up ahead to scout out the area because he had a feeling about soemthing. Alistair was looking at the road and he recognize the road. He knew that it was time for him to tell them about his secret and he noticed that it was leliana, Morrigan, and Sten.
"Okay everyone, since we're heading towards Redcliff. I think that I should tell you all about something. King Cailan and I are half brothers because my mother was maid of cailian's father. That makes me prince of thedas." siad Alistair
"Well, why do you have to tell us but why not tell Raven." said Leliana
"I don't think that he would care about this." said Alistair. "My mother was a servant to the king and she gave birth to me which mean that King Calian is my half brother."
Raven was heading back with top speed with some Darkspawns behind him and he jumped off and terra ran into the forest. Raven unsheated his sword and the others came out of the carriage to assist him. They were ready for a fight and the darkspawn started to attack them. Raven jump ten feet while three alpha darkspawns started to charge at him. He use his sword to slice two heads off. Then the other alpha was swing its sword but Raven knocked the blade out the alpha's hand and he knew that it was too easy for him and he stabbed the alpha in the chest. Leliana saw some of the lackies heading towards her and she use her dagger to kill some of them. She did some backflips to get some distance between her and the rest. Alistair was using his shield to blocked incoming attacks and he slice some of them. Sten use a great swords to take out some of the darkspawns. He looked around to see that this wasn't enough and he saw that an Ogre.
"This was only the distraction." said Sten.
"This is not good for us." said Alistair
The ogre looked at around to see that it has some fresh meat and Raven looked at the beast. He started to charge towards it and he was getting ready to slice it, but the beast knocked him back a few distances. Leliana looked around for another weapon to use against the beast. The ogre started to head towards her but Terra came in to save her and she saw running as fast as she could. Leliana was surprise that the black stalion had save her life and she stopped the horse for a moment. She saw a bow and some arrows on the dead darkspawns.
"Come on, girl. I need you to head towards that dead body over that. Can you do it." said Leliana
Terra nodded her head and she ran as faster as she could and leliana was on the Terra's side. She dropped to the ground and she grabbed the bow and she started shooting at the ogre. Raven got up to see that everyone was trying their best to defeat the ogre. He saw that the ogre was heading towards leliana and he saw that she was running out of arrows. Then he started to run towards the beast and he knew that this might have her. When he got close to the beast, the ogre scratch him in the face. The mask was cracked and Raven was bleeding, but it didn't stop his assault on the beast. He use the twins swords and he stabbed the beast in the chest and the beast was bleeding out but it fail to it's death.
"Well, that it was great." said Alistair
"Not now. If they were here." said Raven
"That was amazing fighting and I never seen that much of fight before my life. I am the scout of redcliff and I wanted to take you all to my city. Bann Teagan would want to speak to you on a matter."
Raven whistle for Terra and the stalion had returned from the forest. He petted her for a moment and they started to head towards the city of redcliff. Leliana was walking beside Raven and she was petting Terra for a moment. She saw that the stalion had been a great help with her. When they got the city, Raven place terra in a stable and he started to feel in his face. He knew that it was still bleeding from the scratch. He saw that scout was leading the others to the chantry and he kenw that he had to meet Teagan. He started to head towards the chantry and Leliana saw that he was still bleeding.
"Why don't you take Alistair to meet Teagan while I attend to our wounded friend." said Leliana
"I don't need treatment I am fine." said Raven
"But." said Leliana
"Leliana, I don't need your help." said Raven.
He started to walk towards Teagan and Alistair knew that he need to get his wound looked at. He was starting to worry about his commrade. They both saw that Teagan was giving orders to some of the troops and he saw that he was having company. He turned around to see that Alistair was standing next to Raven and he was shocked to see that he as alive.
"Alistair, I thought that you died at Ostgar" said Teagan
"Well, I am not die, not yet." said Alistair
"And I see that you are not traveling alone." said Teagan
"Yes, this is a fellow Grey Warden, Raven. This is Morrigan, Sten, and Leliana." said Alistair
Fang started barking at him because he forgot introduce him. Raven just shook his head at the marbar and he petted fang. Fang started panting and he jump for a joy. Leliana just smile at the hound. She knew that something about the hound remain her of the old days. Teagan explained the situation with everyone and he told them that there monsters coming from the castle.
"So, someone had open the fade." said Raven
"What? The fade?" said Teagan
"It's something that my old teacher taught me about before he passed." said Raven. " The fade is the source of magic for mages and they say that it is the home for spirits and demons."
"You must know a lot about it. May I ask, are you a mage." said Teagan.
"No, I was raise in the city and I had a teacher that was a mage of the circle and she was great." said Raven
"I see." said Teagan
"If we are going to face off against these creature of the fade, we are going to need a lot of people to fight with us." said Raven
"But the creature only appeared at nightfall." said Teagan.
"Then it will by us some time to prepare." said Raven
Both Teagan and Alistair were impressed that Raven know how to plan strategy. Raven was looking at the layout of the village and the castle and he noticed that there were some ways for anyone that wanted to enter the village. He saw the hilltop, windmill, and docks for the creatures to invade the village. Leliana was playing with Fang because she knew that hound would get bore if his master was busy. She started throwing at stick for him to chase after which Fang had always brought it back to her.
"That's a good boy." said Leliana
Fang barked happily and leliana tried it again but this time she tricked the hound by hiding the stick behind her back. Fang was looking high and low for the stick and he ran back to leliana. He jumped on leliana because the hound realize that she had the stick the whole time and he started licking her face. Leliana started laughing at the love that the marbari was given her.
"You are too smart to know that." said Leliana. "What is your name anyway."
She looked at the hound's collar and she saw that it had "Fang" on it. She smiled at a good name for a loyal hound like that. She noticed some of the children was looking at her and Fang. She had a smile on her face because they wanted to play with them as well and she whispered something into fang's ear. Then fang started running towards them and he was happy to see children. They all started petting him and they were happy to play with a hound.
"So, basically there are some barrels of oil in a warehouse. We could use those, right?" said Teagan.
"Yes, we can use some archers as well." said Raven
"Well, our blacksmith refuse to lend up some weapon for training." said Teagan.
"Okay, I will have a talk with him." said Raven
"I see that you have some people that know their way of fighting. May I have them training the villagers." said Teagan
"Sure. Leliana, will train the archers, and Sten, will train two handed soldiers." said Alistair
"What is the blacksmith's name." said Raven
"Owen." said Teagan
"I will handle it.' said Raven
Raven started to head outside to meet with the blacksmith and he noticed that the door was lock. He place his head against the door and he had someone was crying on the inside. He started banging on the door but he didn't hear no respond and he knew that the blacksmith was ignoring him. He knew that he had to resort to different method and he kicked the door down. Owen had something in his hand and he was looking at Raven for a moment.
"Hello, are you the blacksmith that had been holding up weapon for good people that was ready to give their lives for their village." said Raven
"Yeah, I am the blacksmith. The name is Owen and I see that you had intruded your way into my home. I should have you arrested." said Owen.
Raven started to unsheathed his sword and he pointed at Owen's throat and He was looking at the man and he saw tears in the blacksmith's eyes. He started to sheathed his sword back into the its sheath. He turned around and started to head out to leave the man in his pity. The blacksmith looking at Raven for a moment and he knew that something about Raven was different.
"Wait! I want to ask you a favor. My daughter is taken from me and I want her back. If you are heading towards the castle, I need you to find her." said Owen
"I will do this unless you get back to work. Deal?" said Raven
"Deal! What's your name anyway?" said Owen
"Raven." said Raven
They both started to shake each other hands to seal the deal that they had made. He started to head outside and he was looking around to see that everyone was working some of the soldier. Leliana was teaching some of the archers how to work with the bow while Sten was teaching them how to use a two handed swords. Alistair was teaching the rest of them how to sword and shield. Teagan started to come outside to see that everyone was working hard and he saw that Raven was walking up to Teagan.
"I see that Owen is back to work. I have more people that refuse to help with the fight." said Teagan
"I am on it." said Raven
Raven started to looking around to some extra hands for the upcoming battle and he head towards a inn. He was looking for the bartender and the waitress told that her boss was in the cellar and Raven started to head back outside. He saw that there was a lock on the cellar door and he started to look around for the bartender. he started to head a bad feeling because the bartender was standing behind with a knife in his hand. Raven turned but he backed away from the bartender while the bartender started to cut him.
Raven dodge the man's attack and he knocked the knife out of the bartender's hand. Raven slammed him to the ground but he had his sword in his hand. He had it pointed at the bartender's throat, but Raven knew that the man needed to join the fight. He told the Bartender to get his weapons and meet with the other villagers to fight the demons which the bartender shallow his pride and went outside to train for the battle.
"Well now, it is time for a fight." said Raven
He went to meet with Teagan and he noticed that there was elf archer and he was looking at the castle. He walked up to elf and he saw that the elf had a dagger in his hand. Raven started to reach for his swords but he noticed that the elf was holding something in his hand. He approached the elf and saw the letter that had Howe's signature and seal on it. Raven started to get upset that this elf was working with Howe.
"Mind telling me what is a scout doing in Redcliffe and I though that the members of Arl Howe was suppose to meet with him in Denerim." said Raven
"How did you know that I worked for Arl Howe."
Raven took off the mask to reveal his true face which cause the elf to look at him with shock in his eyes. He was getting ready to attack Kenhsin Cousland, but Kenshin stabbed him in the chest. Then he put the mask back on his face and he started to search the dead body. He found the letter and he read it which he was shocked to see that Howe had ordered the elf to kill the Arl while he sleep. He started to hide the body and he burned the letter up. He started to head towards the windmill and he was looking at the sky for a moment. He noticed a flower blooming out of the open.
He started to walk towards the flower and he was smiling at the beauty and he thought about Leliana but he shook his head to get the thought out of his head because he need to buried his feeling of his old life and the love that live in his heart. Leliana was standing from a far and she was watching him. She was could telling something was wrong with Raven and she needed to talk to him about his mistreating his comrades. She started to walk up to Raven for a moment and she noticed that the scratch on his face was gone. She also saw that his mask was cracked.
"Raven, why do you wear a mask to hide your face from us. We are your comrades and you need to learn to trust your comrade." said Leliana
"Trust? I have trusted someone but he decided to kill my family. Then I know that I would never trust anyone ever again." said Raven. "Just trust yourself and only yourself, Leliana."
There you go everyone, I will have more chapter update as soon as possible and don't worry I will have more Leliana and Kenshin scene.
