Long time I've written this! It's time I get back into DP world while I'm on vacation.
I apologize for the wait, but hopefully I'll get through season one for a month or two, just have to wait and see where this goes. ;)
Therefore, enjoy!
Tucker is playing on his PDA and sitting on the stairs at his home. His thoughts considered what happened recently a few days ago. It truly opens his eyes to understand what his best friend goes through day to day. He begins to write the story out and recall how it all pulls together.
Tucker waits for Danny to meet up with him before hitting to the fair festival taken place for the weekend. They always go there every year and spend time between themselves. Tucker admits they known each other for the longest time and shared everything. They both picked up the roller blades' wheels package and exchange the deal to make on half to one each. They agreed to deal and paid their fair share. They continue to walk around and checking out each station for different things.
They come to a station to see different mythical items and observes magical items and mythical devices. Tucker picks up old fashioned lamp and reads off the tag of its' description and looks to see what it is.
"A genie in a bottle? I don't think so," He sets it down and shrugs.
Danny and Tucker walk away from the station and continue to explore the rest of the fair festival. The crowd is noisy and crowded with many people, trying to maneuver and not bump into anyone. Suddenly, smoking happens out of nowhere and causing people to scream for their lives. Many people ran in various directions and Danny freezes when the chill creeps up on him. Tucker nearly runs for his life, but realizes his friend in about to engage in a fight with a ghost.
A ghost floats over to the machine and causes the machine to overproduce cotton candy, "And what your heart desire is my command."
The seller shakes her head and dashes out the back of her station's tent for her own safety. Tucker blinks and couldn't believe it is a genie ghost…a ghost who is a genie. He watches what lays before him. The cotton candy spewing everywhere in the festival ground and covering people in sugar stickiness without an escape. The ghost laughing hysterically for the power in work and thriving in obeying such command. People continues to run for their lives and confused what it is actually going on.
Tucker knew there isn't anything he could do, unlike his best friend could…Danny whips out his bo-staff and taps his foot to activate his uniform. He ran in the open field and uses the bo to pounce onto station's roof and ran to the closet. Danny assert his staff in defense and embraces himself for the battle on his own. The ghost did not seems to be afraid, appearing to be a female genie of Egyptian attire in blue and gold representation, and long black hair. She folds her hands as a sign of respect and lowers her head a little.
"I am Desiree. What is your wish?" She kindly smiles to him.
Danny keeps his eyes onto her, "None of your business, Candy Pants." His teeth gritted.
Desiree didn't believe him, "Surely, there must be something," She reaches out to touch his chest.
Danny is taken back by her and quickly moves back as his bo-staff quickly glows green, "Hey! Get away!" Using the staff to knock her hand away and beaming the glowing green against her.
The beam sends her far off from the festival and leaving Danny completely confused to what had happened here.
"What the heck…" He looks at his staff still glowing, "…what's going on? Is this…a new ability?"
"That was slamming! Whatever that was." Tucker looking up as an admiration to see the battle, "Did you add that to your bo-staff?"
Danny leaps down from the roof and joins his friend, "I don't know, mabe?" He looks at the staff still glowing.
Tucker fascinated to witness something new, "That's a cool thing about your job as a hero, there's no downside!" He smiles, "Give me five!"
Tucker raise his hand up high and Danny high-five him with the staff, only the green glow hits Tucker away into the large pile of cotton candy. Danny freaks out, but hears his friend is okay. Danny quickly shrinks his bo-staff and reverse to human identity. He hurries over to his friend and gets him out of the cotton candy pile.
… … …
Later the same day, Sam and Tucker sitting on the bench while Sam sneezes miserably away from a cold. Tucker sits here happily to be at the game on a Saturday night. She sneezes much harder and leaving Sam bitterly.
"I am sick as a dog and I hate sports!" Barely keeping her energy up and turning irritable, "Why am I here?"
Tucker glances at her, "Because Danny's here and he got the best seat in the house."
As the game announces and introduces the high school team. The raven mascot runs out excited and energized into the field, unaware of football players shoving him and nearly stepping on him. Danny mentally regretting to check it out and being told to fill out the position or meeting the cheerleader, it'll be fun. He did not believe a thing anymore after his life changes…what a lie! He hurries himself back up and brushes up quickly and plays his role of a mascot as a raven.
The game goes on for hours and becoming a one-sided winner, especially Dash on the field failing to bypass the opposite team players and being stopped multiple times on the way. Danny trying to cheer for the team when obviously failing to win. The crowd is becoming less and less thrill for the team. Tucker couldn't believe the way their team is going about it. Sam sneezes and finds it more useless to her time. She gets up and faces Tucker bitterly about it.
"Agreed. I'm outta here. Later." She walks off to go home.
Tucker nods and watches her leave the bench to head home. The teams are in huddling for planning to figure out which other strategy to focus on, but Dash comments that it would be something be handled monstrously alone to defeat them. The chill sends through Danny's spine and wonder if the ghost has returned or not. He looks around confused and haven't seen a thing yet.
"And you have been granted." Desiree appears and grants the person's desire for the game's night.
Dash finding himself getting out of the huddling and feel the shifting changes throughout his body. His skin changes white to green and muscles triples in the sizes as he appears to be a zombie monster in damaged football player attire. Everyone isn't aware of his transformation and only sees him as Dash playing on the field. Danny becomes concern and sees the football speeding so fast and his run outspeeds the football. The familiar rushes over to his best friend and quickly grabs him behind the bench.
"Did you see that? Dash is a beast!"
Hearing the roaring much louder, "And beastier! I think he's running on ghost powers. I need your help!"
Tucker grins, "To kick some ghost booty?" Rather exciteably.
Danny glances at him without doubts, "Sort of," Looking over to check on Dash.
Tucker nods, "I'm in."
"Good," He quickly shoves the mascot's head onto Tucker's head and toss the rest of the uniform onto Tucker.
Danny quickly shifts to his form as he taps and quickly ran up to the middle of the field without anyone noticing him. The stench is beyond stronger than anything else and Danny recognizes it from the experiences. He knew the ghost scent is stronger than he expected and embraces himself. Dash being unaware what is about to take place while everyone focuses on directly to the game.
The familiar in action sets his bo-staff down and connects his Fenton thermos attach to it. He sets it to a special mode to overshadowing and hopes this would work. He presses it and it drew the energy away from Dash's body. It reverses the beast form to human mode of Dash, leaving the effect dizzy and memory loss to what has taken place.
Danny quickly manages to relocate to hidden place and changes the thermos mode into trapping the ghost energy permanently. He reverses himself back to his causal attire and runs off home to send the ghost back to the ghost zone.
Tucker unfortunately, hated his part of the help and trying to get a good time to change out of the mascot uniform and wished Danny would have switched back before going home. He stayed until the game is over and the school's team lost the game. Unfortunately, some of the players wanted to play rough game with the mascot and unaware of who is actually wearing it. Tucker had to flee for his life and hide in a random classroom for his own safety and wished Danny had checked on him.
Danny manages to get back home and finds himself sending the ghost back to the ghost zone. He finishes up what he needs to do and turns around as he accidentally knocks himself into a pole. It shortly zips him and he quickly jumps back. He notices the large catcher thing that happens to be glowing. He observes the details of the work and wonder what is. Something tells him to be aware of this device and watch out for this one in the future. He hears something and turns around to find his parents coming out of the teepee. They both appears to look unwell and tired, which he knew Sam is going through a cold looks similar symptoms.
"I hope I am not interrupting something." Danny didn't want to lie to his mom, but this seems rather unusual crossing they had since a few months ago.
"We're trying to richly expel any viral ghosts in our systems with a Fenton Ghost Catcher. It's like an Indian dream catcher, except expunges ghosts and not dreams, you see." He gestures towards the catcher, trying to breathe and sniffle in between.
Danny walks up to them, "You just might a cold, it doesn't have to be a ghost cold." He shrugs.
Jack shakes his head, "I remember when I was that navie," He walks away.
Maddie stays behind until he was out of earshot and looks to her son. She pities him otherwise for the oblivious state.
"Sorry, Danny. I tried to convince him, but I will have him think he's taking ghost medicine to expunge them tonight. As it is, I am exhausted. Is there something you need, sweetie?" Maddie tilts her head, trying to keep herself together with a miserable cold she's having.
Danny shakes his head, "It's all taken care of…but that fenton ghost catcher, I think we both should stay away from it."
She hums, "It did prove to separate ghost and human, but it is rather strange. I do not think it a safe device for me." She soothes her wrist.
Danny shivers, "It shocks me…" He shakes his head, "I don't understand any of it really. I'll let you get some rest, mom."
She smiles, "Thank you and don't fight any ghost you can't handle."
He smiles along, "I promise."
Danny watches her go upstairs to join her husband's side to get through a cold.
… … …
The next day arrives, Danny calls Sam while on the way to a theater and meeting Tucker there.
"Do you need anything at the mall, Sam? Tucker and I will stop by to visit you afterwards," Danny waves at Tucker.
A sneeze on the other end, "No…no," Sneezes again, "I'm good. I have my folks taking pretty good care of me. I am just so sick of being sick!"
"Alright, call us if you need anything."
Sam hums, "Thank you. Bye," Achoo, "…guys it's just a cold-
Danny hears the phone hangs up and he closes up his cell phone, "She's definitely sick for sure. She normally doesn't miss out her favorite movies to see."
Tucker nods, "Yeah, she never misses out on the horror movies like today."
"Poor Sam…we should really visit her." Danny shrugs, "Even if she says not to, still we should."
"I-" Tucker notices Danny freezes up and tenses up like normal and drops the conversation.
Danny looks around and trying to figure out what is happening this time, "Tucker, I-
-Go ahead," Handing the thermos, "I'll get the tickets and save us a couple of seat."
Danny nods and quickly changes his form. Tucker watches him saving the day and goes to the ticket booth. He tries to get the specific movies and to find out they're all sold out but the romance movie for little kids. He purchases it and goes in to find a spot, only it's completely empty. He sits in the back and miserably hates the way everything has been.
"Man, I covered for Danny and my movie gets sold out and gotta watch this lame movie." Slouching onto the armrest and pouting like someone told him a bad news." Feeling angrier within, "I'm tired of being left out all the time! Man! I wish I had familiar's power too or ghost power!" He slinks into his seat and wishing to end the sideline role.
Desiree floats into the room within a few seconds and joins behind him. She happily produces the power out of her hand and Tucker quickly moves away in fear to what will happen next. His face feels colder and didn't know what else to do in this situation!
"Your heart's desire is my command," She transfer the power into wishing power onto him.
Tucker gasps and hope not to die, but unable to move away. The green fog surrounds him and granting him the ability. Tucker trying to figure out what to do and looking around for a way to handle it. He feels that nothing happens and couldn't sink any worse. The moment he felt that, he finds himself no longer sitting on the chair and begins to realize he has the ability of a ghost – intangibility. Something his friend couldn't do yet!
"Sweet!" He tries to imagine how to manage his intangibility and suddenly floating up in the air!
Tucker couldn't believe his luck! He's practically like a ghost! He decides to try invisibility and notices actually working! He continues on using it and flies around, which he thought to check out the theater he wants to see! He floats in without notices and Danny already left the thinking his friend left.
Danny walks out of the theater and finds himself chilled again. He glances up and sees the ghost he dealt with the other day. He finds himself annoyed with her busy granting. He quickly hid behind a pole and shift into his hero form. He uses his bo-staff and runs to jump onto the roof until he gets closer. He hears the screaming for their lives and nearing, which Danny turns and sees a flying car! It is coming in his direction, which he quickly leaps for his life and lands on top of the car.
"Don't sweat on this, Danny. I'm on it." Tucker flying next to the car and him.
Danny trying to hang on the car until he realize something, "Huh?"
Tucker phases through the car and leaving Danny lost to how this is even possible. He quickly manages to get through the window next to the driver and Tucker sitting at the back of the seat. The driver screaming for his life and don't know where these people are coming from!
"Don't worry, Tucker Phantom is here!"
Danny glances behind him, "…couldn't you be more obvious, Tucker? And how on Earth did you get this ghost power?"
"Who knows and who cares?" Looking away from his friend and stretches out to control the wheel, "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some heroic exploits to attend to."
"Tucker! We're too young to drive!" Trying to gain the wheel control.
Both fighting and car circulating around in flight, causing the driver in fear for his life. One of them demands to let go, but Danny refuses to let anything wrong to happen. His thoughts on seeing the building happening in front of them. He quickly uses his bo-staff and zaps Tucker away from it. Tucker clutches his hands from the shock. Danny manages to shift the wheel to go upwards and kept going until the building is no longer a risk and fly the rest straight without any buildings to hit.
Tucker becomes aware how Danny handled it and grumbles, "Oh sure. You had to go astronaut on rocketing up the building, didn't you?"
Danny blinks, "Um, I'm pretty sure flying through the 28th floor of a building is anything, but bad!" He points out.
Tucker scowls, "You're just jealous because there's somebody else grabbing the spotlight now."
"Hallucinations! Focus!" The driver points in front.
Danny disbelief what his friend is saying, "When have I ever grabbed a spotlight?"
Tucker leans up to Danny, "How about right now for instant?"
The car flies straight into the barn full of sand and leaving the boys all safe to crash. The man hurries himself out of the car and happily to be safe on the ground. Danny manages to pull himself out easily of the sandpile and couldn't believe Tucker.
"Tucker, come on, please, this is stupid." Danny crossing his arms, "You're my best friend! I'm not jealous, I'm concern."
Tucker bitterly did not believe otherwise, "Well, don't be! This town is big enough for more than one hero." Floats up away.
Danny tries to grab him, "Tuck! Wait!" Failing to get him.
Tucker flies out super-fast and leaving Danny stun to see the speed amount has taken. He knew that he couldn't run or jump that fast yet…leaving him uncertain what to do next.
… … …
Danny decides to find Tucker at school and finding Tucker taking advantage of his powers. Tucker did everything he could use his powers and having fun using them.
"Nice trick. You do kids' party?"
Tucker shrugs like no big deal, "Dude relax. I'm just having fun. You okay?"
Danny sniffles, "I'm okay. I may be catching Sam's cold, but that's not important right now. Tucker, look…"
"No need, you can keep that super hero jazz to yourself. I'm in this for a kick," He winks.
Danny sighs, "I was afraid of that," He sniffles, "I hate to do this pal, but I need to see what's going on inside of you, and only one way to do that." Danny rest his hand on Tucker's shoulder and pressing a certain pinpoint of the shoulder.
Tucker is glowing and trying to fight against what Danny attempting to scan by senses. Danny trying to figure out what he's able to sense through the scan, but fighting for it is much more difficult. Tucker growing stronger by the seconds and rebelling against Danny much harsher. To cause a backlash to Danny and flings him right into the janitor closet. Tucker follows up bitterly and towers over with anger.
"Don't ever do that again. Got it?" He growls.
Danny nods and watch Tucker leaves him in the closet. Danny begins to worry about his friend and trying to figure out what to do now. All day, he hears all the dismay chaos has taken place by his best friend and it isn't looking good for anyone. This has becoming more difficult to accept trying to help his friend alone and wonder how to properly end the issue. The school is over and Danny spots Tucker alone. Danny approaches Tucker with a concern question. Tucker glances behind him and finds himself annoyed.
"Come on, Tuck, this is getting out of hands. You need to stop the prank you're pulling." Danny frowns.
Tucker scoffs, "You're just jealous that I can do so much more and do a better job than you can. All you can do is sense a ghost and fight them. Me? I have so much powers to do it faster!"
Danny groan, "Tuck! Stop it! I'm not jealous! This ghost power of yours isn't right and I want to know how you got them!"
"Why don't you go ask that babaitiz for where that ghost comes from huh?!" Tucker snips.
"Just come with me and stop using your powers! W-
-No! Go away!"
"No, come along."
"No."
"Fine!" Danny tosses his hands in the air and walks away.
Tucker smug his success and continues testing out his newly power. Danny begins to investigate more about this Desiree character. When he learns how Desiree becomes a ghost, he begins to realize the intention is more of a revengeful act on a jealous wife and life destroyed. The way a sultan offered a whole town, but the wife banished her out of jealousy. Where Desiree died young and spent her dead-life granting people's live but leaving her unsatisfied and heartbroken.
Danny tries to figure out a few ways to approach the ghost and failed a few times. No luck has come his way until an idea occurs. A wishing well. He locates one in the park and does the request. He awaits a few seconds, but the ghost hasn't shown up yet. He decides to continue tracking the ghost until a random customer tosses a coin for a wish. The chill comes through Danny and he quickly changes. He sees the spell turns into action and he rushes to save the man from the spell. Only the man runs for his life.
"You were interrupting my spellbinding! How dare you!" Unpleased to the disruption has caused.
Danny stays focus on her, "Listen Desiree, I want you to take away Tucker's ghost powers away pronto!"
She grins, "I cannot. By noon tomorrow, your friend's fate is sealed! His jealous will transform him forever into the most powerful ghost boy!" She laughs dramatically.
Danny begins to question himself, "Tuck? He's not that jealous. Is he?" He wasn't too sure…
Desiree lowers her voice seductively, "More than you know. Tomorrow, his jealous and frustration will cement into rage and rebellion! He will be complete." Tries to fly away.
Danny catches her tail before she flies away, "You change him back!" Demands bitterly.
"You dare to lay your hands on me?" Shock and livid to see him to do such thing, "No man may lay his hand on me unless I wish it!" Ready to claw the boy for his life.
Danny shows no fear, "Yeah? How about a fist?" Embraces himself for a battle.
Her hand transforms into the rope and loops in. She tosses at him at his waist, pulls him and throws him far off. Danny finds himself flying through in the air and trying to prepare for the landing as he crashes into the bench. The bench cracks and breaks into pieces. Desiree strikes forward in a sudden speed and Danny sees her oncoming attack. He draws out his bo-staff and prepares a swing as he triggers a beam at her.
"Get back!" He demands, trying to clear out a space.
The beams hits her hard and leads her crashing onto the earthly ground. He rushes over to her landing and her hand transform triples the size and grabs him in her hold. He tries to get out and failing to break free. He gasps for air as she tightens a hold onto him. Danny trying to figure out how to get himself out of it.
"Now you can't do anything unless I wish it!" Desiree gleefully proud of the battle.
Danny glances around and finds his thermos, which he grabs it, "Or I do," Opening the thermos and aims at her, "I wish you would disappear inside this thermos!"
Desiree shrieks for her life, but unable to deny the wish to grant. She does so and disappears right into the trap for her. Danny gasps for air and finds himself regretting not to do this much sooner. Now, he realizes he needs to save his best friend tomorrow before noon…or it'd be too late to save Tucker. Just how was he supposed to get the ghost within Tucker out of him?
"Wait…anytime I remove out of the body, they go back to normal…" Danny grins happily on the plan for a change.
… … …
Danny breathes in, "Alright, I've got 30 mins to get him here…" He pulls up a phone and calls tucker.
Tucker answers, "What is it now, Danny?"
"We've got to talk, Tuck, this is getting out of control."
A growl on the other end, "No! You stay out of this! I make the rules! You're a useless familiar, I've got ghost powers."
"Sorry, Tuck, but you're a ghost. My job as a familiar is take you out and stop you. You can't beat me." Sounding smug about it.
Tucker growls, "Rule number one is get rid of you! No more Fenton Familiar!"
"Well, come and get me! It's time to fight and see who a better hero is!"
Danny didn't hear anything but a click. He has himself ready outside of his house and waits for Tucker to arrive in his ghostly form. It is strange, but nothing stranger than his mom being a halfa. He knew his family is out for the day, where his sister is in class, his mom manages to convince his dad to go see important person which a doctor is. Danny keeps his bo-staff readily on hands and prepares to fight against his best friend under a spellbinding or lose his best friend forever.
He waits for his senses to alert him and couldn't figure out where Tucker would be from. The warning tells him to look behind him now and he follows as the cold shiver sends the close by ghost. Suddenly the blast hits him in the chest and throws him across the front lawn. Danny embraces himself for the rough landing on his back and grunts loudly. Tucker flying straight for him in sheer anger against him and the rage growing stronger than ever. The familiar uses his staff swings hard to aim the ghost away from Tucker. Tucker crashes into the bushes in front of the house.
Danny gathers himself back up and ready to run right into his house. Tucker gets up and flies after him without a second to waste. The familiar presents his stances up and guards around with Tucker in sight.
"You can't stop me, even if you try to get rid of me in the ghost zone." Danny trying to do everything he can before the time is up.
Tucker grins, "What a great idea to get rid of you, personally I was going to bury you. No more stupid heroic Danny, number one rule is to get rid of you!" He roars.
Tucker flings himself out to Danny and Danny fights any contact over him. He uses his staff and triggers the beam against his friend to keep distance until…
Danny realized he went invisible and needs to depend on his senses. He listens within himself and trying to prepare for a surprise. He acts on the instinct to jump onto the stairs to the kitchen and performed backward cartwheels. A snarl clues in that he is in the spot where Danny originally stood.
"You can't stop a familiar who stops a ghost like you!" Danny runs
Reveals himself in front of the familiar, "Yes I can!" Snarls viciously.
Danny runs through the kitchen to the lab in the basement. Tucker flies quickly enough to catch him and straight into the basement. Danny tries to wiggle his way out of Tucker's grip, but becoming more and more difficult to strength holding him. The chuckling worries Danny as he notices the time is nearing.
"Let me go!" Trying to kick his way out and trying to breathe.
Tucker grins, "No way, now I can finally get rid of unwanted pest!"
"Tucker, I know you're in there. Don't do…do…" He gasps in and couldn't hold it together anymore.
Danny sneezed loud and Tucker finds himself gross out from the sneezing germs all over him. He instantly drops the familiar and Danny lands onto his feet.
"Dude! Gross! Cover your mouth next time!" Tucker didn't know what to do or how to get himself clean.
Danny looks behind Tucker and spots the ghost catcher, "Sorry, but that was for your own good." Quickly spins around and whips the blast at Tucker through the ghost catcher.
Tucker grunts and goes through as Danny's plans intended to do. The catcher enforces and splits the spellbinding ghost out of Tucker's body completely. Tucker lands onto the ground and finding himself confused with sudden changes. His focus slowly pulling together and looking up to see the ghost beyond him exactly like him. He gasps and hears the ghost screaming from being captured.
Danny quickly snaps on the thermos' lid and breathes in as being sick is difficult to breathe with. Tucker finds himself shock to what has become of him…
"Was that me? I…I'm sorry Danny, I didn't realize how jealous I was!" Tucker couldn't believe it himself.
The familiar sniffled hard, "It's alright, it's not you anymore, Tucker. Look, sorry if I haven't exactly the best friend you need." He sighs, "Forgive me?"
Tucker sighs, "…if only if you forgive me too. I should have been honest with you, man."
Danny smiles and nods. They both shake hands and takes care of the ghost that nearly made a permanent binding between Tucker and the jealous and raging ghost.
At the end of Tucker's PDA, writing that friendship is worth by trusting each other and learning to forgive one another. He states that it seems Danny's position as a familiar is more necessary than having some ghost powers. For now, he prefers to stick it to his best skill and it would be his technology at best.
Of course, confesses that Danny ended up getting him sick and knowing that their friendship is closer than before.
Danny knows that his friends do deserve better than this but lying about the fact his mom is the actual superhero, not him. The detail of being a familiar is a minor role for him and he only managed to get away with it shortly. Next time? Danny has no clue what to expect with his life.
A penny for a thought?
