Harry was practically skipping through the forest with a devious grin on his face. He couldn't wait to play some pranks on Edward and Bella, maybe even Carlisle. When he thought of Carlisle, Harry came to halt and frown. He had more family and they left him. Harry could tell that Carlisle was now regretting it, but it still didn't quell the hurt he felt inside. Feelings of worthlessness rose deep within him. Was there something serious wrong with him as a child and as a teenager that no one wanted him?
Demetri was smiling fondly at deviously planning mate as he skipped ahead. He undead heart hurt earlier today, when Dumbledore was mention and Harry had a breakdown. His Harry was always so strong, he has rarely seen Harry looking so lost. Angry yes, lost and broken, no. Even when Harry had told him about his past, and he had used a flippant tone, but Demetri had been able to see past it and saw the hurt still lurking. So when he saw his beloved stopping in the middle of the forest near their backyard, Demetri frowned worried that maybe someone had been by. Stopping next to his mate, Demetri saw that Harry had such a lost and wretched look on his face that Demetri's heart broke once again.
Demetri drew his beloved close and buried his nose into Harry's hair. When he felt arms wrap around him and hands clench into his shirt, Demetri held Harry tighter and closer. Then Harry spoke and Demetri once again wished he could cry.
"Was I such a disgusting person that no one wanted me when I was young?" Harry whispered in a broken voice.
"No beloved, you were beautiful and they were jealous of it," Demetri fiercely whispered in Harry's ear.
"But why?" Harry pleaded and tears spilt forth.
"Because your soul is beautiful and pure while theirs were tainted and ugly. They wanted to damage you. But you kept true to yourself and you grew and blossomed under their pettiness. You grew strong and even more beautiful. If I wouldn't have known you were so close, I would have been there right beside you every step of the way," Demetri told him wiping tears away from those bright green eyes.
Harry smiled and kissed Demetri. It was so gentle that it was tender, and Harry apparated them to their bedroom. Breaking the kiss, Harry removed every piece of Demetri's clothing and gently pushed onto the bed. Flicking his wrist, Harry's clothes disappeared and Harry climbed on top of Demetri and placed another tender kiss then slowly moved his way down Demetri's body worshipping it, like he was paying homage to his savior. Which he was. Demetri had saved him from turning aloof and closed off and giving up on finding love. Moving back up Harry murmured something then he was kissing Demetri and softly stretching and preparing him. As Harry made tender love to him, Demetri felt as if he was the one that was the most precious person in the world. It was also the first time that Harry had ever been this gentle and tender. Harry was normally fun and energetic. Demetri truly felt loved and cherished, he knew Harry loved him and that Harry needed him but he had never felt it to this extent. As they climaxed, Harry fell onto Demetri and hugged him close trying to stay as close as he could. Demetri held just as tight and watched over Harry as he slept.
"You LEFT a child who begged you to come with you with his headmaster?" Esme frostily asked Carlisle.
"You left a child in a war zone?" Rosalie questioned with glare.
"What was I supposed to do? Take him with me? Take him away from his other parent?" Carlisle replied tiredly as he rubbed his eyes with his forefinger and thumb.
"We could have stayed for a little longer, or even stayed in better contact!" Esme said throwing her in the air.
"Your cousin told you to!" Rosalie shouted and if possible her glare intensified.
"Esme and Rosalie, if Carlisle hadn't left Harry then the world we know would have been a different place, good or bad I don't know, but it was meant to be," Alice told them calmly as her and Jasper walked in from watching Harry and Demetri leave.
"So Carlisle had to leave Harry by himself grieving in a war zone, so whatever happened happen," Rosalie sarcastically asked.
"Basically yes. While it pains me to know that it wasn't easy for him, it did shape him into the man he is today," Alice answered firmly.
Rosalie glared at Alice before stalking away with Emmett following.
Esme looked frustrated and wanting to cry, but she straighten and said, "Fine, it needed to happen but we will be trying to correct this." She pointed her finger to her mate and walked away, presumably out to her flower beds.
Carlisle sighed and said, "Thanks Alice."
"Don't get me wrong, what Harry suffered through was horrible but this Harry will be able to help Jasper. I agree with Esme, you need to fix this or else this coven will crumble," Alice told him.
"What's wrong with Jasper and what do you mean?" Carlisle asked confused.
"Nothing you will be able to help with, you just need to make it right for Harry," Alice said and she and Jasper walked off to their room leaving Carlisle confused and slightly scared and alone. Edward and Bella had made their escape when his mate and Rosalie tag teamed up.
It was a few days later when Alice and Jasper made their way over to their new friends place with Jasper following their faint scent. Walking hand in hand Alice and Jasper approached the white house and Jasper knocked softly on the back door. They heard a "Come in!" and the open the door and stepped into the house. Walking down the hallway where there heard a t.v. going, Alice noticed the décor as foreign decorations, since almost all of the furnishings could not be found in a retail store. Reaching the living they saw Demetri relaxing on a leather couch with his feet propped up on an ottoman.
Frowning Jasper asked, "Where's Harry?"
Demetri looked up and said, "Right here."
Stepping closer they saw a very large tiger laying on the couch, while its head laying on Demetri's lap, and Demetri was stroking a hand down the tiger'8s back.
Alice giggled and said, "Hi Harry! Are we interrupting anything?" Directing the question towards Demetri.
Waving a hand, Demetri answered, "No, we are just relaxing before we need to start researching the other covens, take a seat and relax with us."
Jasper and Alice sat on the leather loveseat and Jasper couldn't take his eyes off of the tiger.
"Is that really Harry?" he questioned.
"Yeah, he likes being in this form when sulking or whenever he is in a catty mood or when he feels playful."
"So whats the reason for him being in this form currently?" Jasper asked out of curiosity.
"The last two," Demetri answered rubbing Harry's ear and Harry answered with a loud purr.
Alice frowned for a moment, before a look of sadness crossed her features.
Getting up, Alice walked over and kneeled by Harry's head and softly placed her dainty hand on his large head and whispered, "I'm so sorry Harry, but if you let Jasper and me in, we promise to never leave you either. Carlisle got his ass chewed out and Rosalie isn't speaking to him and Esme has been spending quite a bit of time in her garden."
Right before their eyes Harry returned to his human form and Alice's hand was in his hair. With his eyes still close, Harry told her, "Don't promise that lightly."
Jasper rose as well stood beside Alice's kneeling form.
"Alice and I have discussed it and we have decided to follow you and Demetri," Jasper stated.
Harry and Demetri were staring in shock at the two. Swallowing Harry asked, "Why…Why would you follow us? You barely know us."
Alice stood up and shared a look with Jasper, when she turned back she said, "For one, you have experience in almost all things except a family, second I have seen some parts of both your pasts and your decisions and actions speak for themselves. Third we feel a kinship to you guys. It feels like you are our big brothers."
"We have never really fit with the Cullens too, it almost feels like they were a stepping stone now," Jasper added.
Harry and Demetri looked at each other and nodded. Standing up Harry embraced Jasper and Demetri embraced Alice and whispered, "Little brother/little sister". Before switching and repeating the action and words.
When they broke apart, the new little family felt a sense of wholeness and even though they are hardly knew each other, they knew and felt that they were meant to be together working as a family. Nothing else was said, since it need to be and they settled down to finish watching the movie.
As the ending credits came onto the screen, Demetri turned it off and Alice spoke up, "So when are you guys leaving?"
"In a week so, depends on how fast we can find a coven," Demetri answered with a shrug of his shoulders.
"Plus we need a few supplies," Harry added from his position on his mate's lap.
"We do?" Demetri asked confused looking down.
"Yes, we need phones," Harry started ticking off his fingers.
"Why do we need phones?" Demetri questioned.
"Well for starters, I want one. Have you seen the commercials for the phones? Last time I saw a phone, it didn't travel with you that's for sure!" Harry told them.
Demetri rolled his eyes and said, "And the other reason?"
"So we can keep in touch with our new found family!" Harry rolled his eyes and twirled his finger around his temple and pointed up to Demetri.
Alice and Jasper snickered and Demetri sighed, "Are you sure you are in your hundred and not in your teens?"
Harry stuck his tongue and continued, "We'll need a GPS and a map/compass, yes love I am aware you are the best tracker out there but we also need to record the coordinates and send a copy back to Aro."
"You just want another toy," Demetri teased.
Ignoring his mate Harry continued once more, "We'll need an ipod for music and a computer to input all of our collected data as well as a printer so we can send copies to Aro."
Alice clapped her hands and shouted, "Yay a shopping spree! I know just the phone you two should get!"
Jasper looked like he was trying to make up his mind on something and when he did he asked, "Can we go with you?"
"Don't you two have school?" Harry questioned with his eyebrow raised as he sat up.
"Yeah only a few more weeks, I'm sure Carlisle could cover for us. Plus we could go to the covens that we know are located," Jasper explained.
"Oh! I want a backpack just like yours!" Alice squealed jumping up and down.
Demetri smiled and looked his mate, "I guess they are coming with?"
"Yeah, maybe sometime away from humans might do Jasper some good as well," Harry remarked, looking at a now hyper Alice and relaxed Jasper. Plus it would be family bonding time.
