It was some while after Jade's most recent breakdown. Her mother had left with Elliot as he needed to get home and cared for, despite wanting to support Jade deep down she knew there was no way she would listen to her. Tori has also left some time ago, but not before she checked on Jade and Beck to see how things had been going. That left Beck, giving promises to everyone that he wouldn't leave her side until she left this place, even if it meant he had to remain unshowered and in the same clothes for several days, heck he'd even stay like this for weeks. He felt like an idiot, accusing Jade of being so isolating but truly, he knew that she only wanted to spend time with him. He'd rarely go out without the rest of the gang anyway, they only reason they hadn't is because their bickering had become unbearable for the rest of the group. Beck sighed to himself, blaming himself for everything. He was stupid, naive even for believing those girls who had first put those idea's into his head. Beck understood why Jade would be protective of him over those girls, they were malicious creatures. He held his head in his hands, shaking it, mentally scolding himself for his actions.
It was several moments later when he heard a quiet voice from inside the room. "Beck? Is that you?" Beck stood up and peered through the glass of the door to Jade's room before entering. He quickly checked his phone. 1.37am, he was exhausted and Jade noticed this on his face. The only light for the room was the blue glow from his phone screen. "I'm here baby. I'm not going anywhere, just promise me you'll try to stay calm. I know it's hard." Jade nodded. "Will you turn on the side lamp Beck, I want to see you." At her request Beck pulled on the lamp chord, and with a flicker a warm ambiance filled the room. He sat down at her bedside and took her hand in his own, before pressing a kiss to it. "I'm here now. Always." He knew that would never amount to enough considering he wasn't there when she needed him most. "Beck?" Jade whispered, squeezing his hand ever so gently.
"Yes Jade?" He looked up, brushing his thumb over her knuckles, avoid her bruises from her IV.
"I don't feel too good. Will you lie with me?"
"Of course, but only if you want me to."
"I do." She said, pulling back the pale blue knitted blankets, and thin white sheets. Even in her patterned hospital gown, Beck couldn't help but notice how gorgeous she looked, despite the sadness that filled her eyes and face. He climbed in beside her, wrapping his arms protectively around her, gently holding her fragile body. "Beck?" Jade asked rolling over again, her voice full of vulnerability.
"Yes Jadelyn?" He teased.
"Do you love me again?"
"Who said I ever stopped." He sniffled, fighting back tears as his thoughts began to overwhelm him. "I'm sorry Jade. Don't freak out please. You need to know I truly am. I screwed up and look what I've done to you. I can't help but think this is all my fault. God Damnit it is all my fault. And I just need you to forgive me. You don't have to trust me but I hope you can when I say that I am never ever leaving your side again. I'm an idiot. I love you, more than anything Jade. I want you to be mine, I want to help. I just want to be with you. Please..." He finished.
"I love you too Beckett." She joked back, a small smile spread across her face for the first time in days.
"How do you feel?"
"Physically, awful, emotionally, much better now your led here next to me. I can feel loved."
"Whatever it takes Jade, I promise we can work this all out. You just need to keep calm. Tell me if you need anything." Jade began to sigh,
"I need to sleep, but with all these wires the bed is uncomfortable and its difficult." Without hesitation Beck began to fluff the pillows behind her neck. Before standing up to adjust the electric bed to a more reclined position. He grabbed an extra pillow from the arm chair in the corner, and switched off the lamp, before climbing onto the bed beside her. "Let me help you relax baby girl," he began shuffling down the bed towards her feet. He gently pulled the hospital socks from her feet before gently massaging her feet, ankles and legs. Jade stifled a small smile in the dark, but Beck could tell it had appeared, her perfect pale skin illuminated by the hallway lights shining through the pane of the door. "Sleep tight Jade. Remember, i'm here."
"I love you Beck."
"I love you too."
