A/N: Now really, it took me almost a year to update this, eh? It's clear that I've lost my touch on Inazuma... but well don't worry! I'm back and planning on completing this story by the end of this year. After all, I have only one chapter and two extra's left. It can't be that hard to complete them, right? I really hope that you guys enjoy this chapter. And please forgive me for being so late!
"Don't be ashamed to weep; 'tis right to grieve. Tears are only water, and flowers, trees, and fruit cannot grow without water. But there must be sunlight also. A wounded heart will heal in time, and when it does, the memory and love of our lost ones is sealed inside to comfort us."

Chance 7: He Knew It Was Impossible
~ It Can Be Done! ~
The young teen snapped out of it, when he felt his balance betraying him, as his head slipped from the support of his jaw. The boy quickly nocked his head back up and blinked around with sleepy looking eyes. He yawned loudly and massaged his eyes.
Finally his reasoning was returning back to him. Midorikawa realized that he was sitting on the couch in the living room. The TV was on and a children show was playing. The only person whose presence Midorikawa found in the living was Kin, who was staring at the screen with enchanted look.
The green-head laughed. I really looked like the girl had been completely captivated by the children shown and she had been taken to another world. Sometimes she shouted at the characters and laughed cheerfully, but most of the time she was silent and serious.
Midorikawa leaned his cheek against his fist and smirked. Kin had really grown up. She was very close to the age the Kin of his world was. The crimson red-colored hair of her had grown into a wild, neck length perm and most of it was tied up on a side ribbon. She was wearing a yellow summer dress with white dots.
The girl would surely grow up into a beautiful women. She would be one to capture hearts of many boys; and mostly likely break them as well. She had the genes of Kurowadai's that had beautiful older sister and cute younger brother often mistaken as a girl. Kin would surely be popular. If only she would stop having such a strange affection towards Hiroto.
Midorikawa sighed. Even after all the years, she was the most keen on the wicked red-head. What it was in Hiroto that interested her so much?
The green-head moved a little to make himself more comfortable. At the same time the front door was opened as someone entered the house. Midorikawa turned towards the entry and after a while saw Akai entering the living room while holding a bag in her other hand. Her cheeks were red and she looked exhausted.
"Good day, Ryuuji." She greeted the green-head and sat next to Midorikawa. The boy was stunned. Now that he looked at Akai close, it seemed that the girl had become very round. Now that Midorikawa minded up that she gathered up some weight… but for some reason he had only one idea what it could be.
"Where were you?" He asked without any further thinking.
Akai looked at him with stunned look and then giggled lightly. Her red cheeks, which still hadn't cooled down, made it look like she was blushing. "Oh come on Ryuuji. I told you that I'm going to the hospital."
Midorikawa gulped loudly.
He wasn't sure if he wanted to know the rest of the story.
He had done it again, right?
"They said that the baby is feeling well. Also I finally got know the gender. It's a boy." Akai told, tears of happiness starting to form into the corners of her eyes. The crimson of her cheek got suddenly deeper red and Midorikawa assumed it had to because of the happiness, not the cold or chill air.
The greenette froze.
Yep.
He had done it again.
He had ruined her life once again.
Midorikawa squeezed his arm into fist while biting his lip. He was so mad at himself. He had once done the very thing he regretted the most. He had made her pregnant at the age of eighteen. Akai glanced at the father of her child and titled her head. "Ryuuji, what is it?"
He regretted it.
He couldn't believe it.
He had done it once again.
Midorikawa was so mad at himself.
"Nee, what about a baby?" Midorikawa was returned back to reality by Kin's sudden question. Apparently the cartoon had ended and the girl had turned her attention towards the parental figures she knew. Akai smiled at her younger sister and kneeled down to Kin's level.
"You know, there's a small baby growing up inside Mama's stomach." Akai had finally gotten over the complex to call herself a mother. She wasn't a real one, but at the time Kin needed someone to rely upon. And Akai was the only female who could fulfill the role of a missing mother.
"A baby?" Kin looked puzzled and raised her head at Akai. "Inside stomach." She then looked at Akai's stomach. The raven took hold of Kin's arm and brought it on top of her stomach. All of a sudden Kin felt a faint force hitting her. Her eyes started to shine.
"See, the baby is greeting you." Akai smiled. Kin got so excited and put her palm on Akai's stomach once again. This time there was no movement. She was persistent and kept the arm on the stomach, but finally, as there was no reaction she backed off with a disappointed look. After that she put her arm on her stomach to test if there would be a reaction.
Akai giggled. "Kin-chan doesn't have a baby yet. A baby is something that comes when you're an adult." Akai tried to explain to her younger sister. Kin pouted in disappointment and then declared. "Kin will too become an adult and then Kin will have a baby with Hiloto!" As usual, her pronouncing was still of.
Midorikawa and Akai froze, and then the latter laughed desperately. "Well… yes…" She was at lost with words.
"Do that I will personally finish that man." Midorikawa's dark mumbled showed no sympathy. First of all, where that child had found out that you need a man and a woman to make children. And why on earth she would have one with Hiroto? That childish talk, he hoped that she would soon grow out of the affection she held towards the red-head.
"Just make sure that the baby is planned, Kin-chan. So that you won't repeat the same thing as certain someone's." Came an impish comment as the middle child of Kurowadai family entered the living room. "Aoki!" Kin yelled out her brother's name completely oblivious to his words.
The bluenette walked to Kin and took her into his lap. "Kin-chan, it's almost time for your afternoon nap. Let's go our room." He told to Kin and pinched her nose. This made the girl laugh brightly and she wrapped her arms around Aoki.
As the boy was about to leave, he first turned to Midorikawa. "I'm glad that so far everything's gone well. But if you ever dare to make my sister cry, I will end you." It was very convincing, coming from a small boy who was barely carrying a girl half of his height. No it wasn't that Kin was big; the other way around. Aoki was very small compared to his peers. Midorikawa wondered if he would remain the same way even when reaching puberty.
The worst part was Aoki's baby face. None would take him seriously with that feminine, plum-cheek, round-eye appearance… but Midorikawa understood that he meant every word he spoke. He sighed innerly. Where had that cute crybaby disappeared to? With every passing year, his personality was going for the worst.
With those words Aoki left. Akai stood up and fixed her clothes. She then looked at the clock and packed her bag. "I'll go and buy some ingredients for dinner." She said and headed towards the entry. Midorikawa nodded and fell to the couch. He didn't even remember when exactly he had gotten up.
The man switched the channel as he heard the door closing behind him. He browsed through the channels, but found nothing worth of his interest and time. Finally he gave up and turned off the TV. He closed his eyes and thought about the previous scene.
Compared to the previous time, Akai was more cheerful. She happily announced that the baby was healthy and that it was a boy. A light smirk appeared on his face. She most likely had come up with the same name as previously for the child. "Ryuusei…" He whispered out the name of his son.
"YOU IDIOT! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE DAYDREAMING?!" A sudden yell, brought Midorikawa to his feet. His eyes widened and heart pounding hard of surprise, he stared at the blondie before him. His hair was still a mess like usually, but this time Midorikawa could clearly see the two ocean green eyes filled with rage.
"DON'T YOU KNOW WHAT DAY TO DAY IS? DO YOU WANT TO HAVE THE SAME THING HAPPEN AGAIN? GO, HURRY SAVE HER YOU BIG IDIOT!" The child cried out loud, tears rolling down his cheeks. For a moment, Midorikawa saw how the image of the child started to fade away. The blonde stared at his arms and then turned to Midorikawa with pleading eyes. "Please, Ot-"
He couldn't even end his sentence as Midorikawa dashed off. He pushed his feet to his shoes not even bothering to put them on properly. He slammed the door closed and rushed down the stairs.
How much of an idiot he had been? Why hadn't he soon realized who the child was? Why hadn't he been more alerted and stopped Akai to go to the shopping alone. The child was right, he was a big idiot. He wasn't even able to protect people dear to him.
Midorikawa panted heavily and wiped his eyes that had started to water. The game hadn't been lost just yet. He could still make it and save Akai. The greenette prayed that he would make it in time. He finally reached the cross lights before the grocery shop. The lights were currently red and Midorikawa stopped to catch a breath. He looked to the other side and saw Akai waiting on the other side of the crossroads.
She was surprised by the sight of Midorikawa and waved at him. As soon as the lights turned to blue* she ran towards Midorikawa. The greenette's eyes widened and he shouted. "Akai, NO!" he yelled desperately to stop the girl, but it was too late. The motorbike was already heading towards the girl.
Tears filled Midorikawa's eyes.
"AKAI!"
A/N: Will Akai survive!? So who that little guy really is? That all is found out in the next chapter.
About the lights turning blue: Usually the lights turn green, but in Japan you can hear them say it turning aoi (blue). So I decided to go with that.
I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter and please do leave review! See you next time in: All he needed to do was to wish.
