Chapter 7: A Failed Raid
Note that this chapter takes place a month after the last. In this chapter Ezra goes to rescue Mon Mothma and Kallus, Thrawn gets a taste of the new capital ship(completed during last chapter) and Ezra is saddened by Sabine's absence. Also, a new villain will be introduced(Thrawn will not be a villain for long, I have decided upon a better threat and it's not the Unorian Empire, but someone else's content I got permission to play around with)
"God I miss Sabine…" Ezra says, curled in a ball in his bunk.
"Me too kid, but that shouldn't be much of an issue. We have bigger problems" Robert says.
"Ezra you are needed in the briefing Room!" Kanan's voice sounds through the comms.
"Go, I'm going up to the ISD." Robert says, walking out of the room. Ezra does the same.

"Well, Ezra is gone I guess. So is Kanan." Robert says on the bridge of the now completed rebuilt Imperial I class star destroyer Virillance, renamed Rebel One.
"Sir, there is a ship coming out of hyperspace. It might be Imperial!" Hobbie shouts, turning around in his seat(the new bridge is in the superstructure with the old exposed bridge tower just a sensor tower now, the new bridge layout is based on that from the Enterprise D from star trek TNG).
"Ok comrade, I taught you all what to, now let's get to work! On screen, power up anti aircraft guns and get the MAC ready to fire! Shields up!" Robert says, as with both Sabine and Ezra gone, he is the only true soldier who can command a warship despite his low rank.
"AA guns armed! Shields up and MAC powered up! MAC gunner is asking for ammo selection sir," Hobbie says.
"Tell him to load solid Armor Piercing, do not load proton High Explosives!" Robert says.
"Yes Sir!"

A sobbing Arc Wren kicks over a chair in anguish after her ship is out of hyperspace. Then she sees her comms going off in the cockpit. She moves to pick them up.
"Attention unidentified Vessel. This is the Rebellion Battlecruiser Rebel One, you have gone too close to our base. As a result we will have to open fire!" a voice says in a foriegn accent over the comm, as Arc spys the Star Destroyer sitting in orbit among Rebel warships. Arc scrambles to re-establish contact.
"No no you...don't...understand," she says, still sniffling. "I want to join the Rebellion! You don't know how much the Empire took from me!" she says, not realizing that she is being watched by the warship due to its upgraded technology.
"Hold on a second please…" the voice says.

"Hold on a second please…" Robert says to the sniffling mandalorian women on the screen. "Get me General Syndulla!" he shouts
"On it," Hobbie says.
"Hera, the ship that just jumped into the system wants to join us!" Robert shouts when Hera picks up.
"Let them in but scan first," Hera says.
"Got it. You heard her Hobbie. Re-open a channel." He says.
"You have been cleared to land. Sending coordinates. Make one wrong step and we will shoot you down! I will personally be coming down to greet you, Mandalorian." Robert says to the still sniffing Mandalorian women in the chair.
"Thank you…it's the least I could do for my...dead friend." the woman says before closing the channel.
"I'm going down there, Lincoln you have the bridge!"
"Yes comrade, oh and should I simply kill any intruders with out turbolasers and AA guns or totally destroy them with the MAC or plasma lance?" Lincoln asks through the Bridge comms.
"You know already, and Hobbie don't complain, Lincoln knows more than the Entire rebellion combined about warship operation," Robert says, then he walks out of the bridge.

A strange starfighter lands next to Arc's ship on the landing strip, by the ghost. A heavily armored man jumps out and takes with him a strange rifle with two large rails with a space in between for a barrel.
"So, you wanted to join the Rebellion? I will take you to one of our commanders. And you can call me Robert." the man says, in the same strange accent as before. "And just to tell you, I crashed here. I'm from a galaxy millions of light years away, and come from an Empire of equals that has territory in multiple galaxies, the Democratic Socialist Empire ofGermany to be exact!"
"Name is Arc. Arc Wren," Arc says,"and I had no idea the rebellion was this militarized."
"Hahahaha not until I joined! Before they were so disorganized a pirate band could have taken them! And that star destroyer was taken by me by the way! I did most of the work." Robert says.
"Doubt it," Arc says, putting her hand on her hip as if he said something wrong.
"Just follow me please, and if you try anything you can get a Tungsten round through the chest!" Robert says, waving for Arc to follow.

"Commander Sato, Hera, this is Arc Wren." Robert says, ushering Arc in before moving to guard the door. Arc then takes off her helmet, to reveal essentially the same hairstyle to sabine, only jet black and silver, with a small brown padawan braid in the back.
"She does look like Sabine, this must be her cousin. Don't let it get to you, this isn't the time for that." Robert thinks to himself. "Should I return to my destroyer?" he then asks.
"Yes, also I think promoting you to Lieutenant commander would be a good idea Robert. Congrats." Commander Sato says.
"Sir yes sir! I shall attempt to exceed your expectations!" Robert says, saluting and then walking out.
"He says he's not from here?" Arc asks.
"Yes, and where he is from is way more advanced than us. He is the best soldier I have ever seen but a bit ruthless. Though he does avoid collateral damage as much as possible which is good." Hera says.
"Well, I will have to get to know him, I guess." Arc remarks.
"Hera I'm gonna go kick thrawn's ass, don't care who tells me not to." Robert says before a loud boom indicates the star destroyer jumping to hyperspace.
"And he clearly wants to test his upgrades…"

The Rebel One jumped out of hyperspace right in front of thrawn's fleet.
"Alright, power up the plasma lance and MAC to 100% power and fire on my command." Robert says.
"Ready sir!" Hobbie says.
"Target the nearest destroyer and fire plasma lance, and point and fire the MAC at the one in front of us!" Robert orders. "Lets fire both guns at once!"
"Enemy firing at us!" a technician shouts.
"FIRE!" Robert says.

The ship shudders as the plasma lance fires a blue beam at an ISD 45 degrees to the left of the bow, and the MAC fires as well. However, the shields go down due to the weapons both being on full power and the turbolasers also firing.
"Our shields are down! We are taking damage!" the technician shouts as the ship shudders from hits by thrawn's fleet.

"Well this is extremely unexpected.." Thrawn remarks. "That ship is using technology hundreds of years ahead of us… and clearly it's a rebel ship as the Starbird that Sabine wren puts everywhere is on it. The commander is clearly someone different, the rebels usually don't attack this aggressively, and how did they get a star destroyer?"
"Well we have to counter attack, the ship is turning around!" Konstantine remarks, pointing out the window at the Rebel ship turning around and charging the hyperdrive.
"No, we put a tracker on it. Send one of the new TIE defenders to fit a tracker on it. We will use it to find the Rebel base and destroy them. And it seems a small group of rebels kidnapped Kallus." Thrawn says.
"But sir, they blew up some destroyers!" Konstantine protests, but to no avail.
"It's more important to find the Rebel base, and this is how we do that." Thrawn explains.
"Something is up, the Rebels must be getting support, and the Empire might be on its way out. I think it is best to side with them soon, as soon as the power reveals itself." Thrawn thinks to himself.

The Rebel One jumps out of hyperspace over atollon soon after the engagement.
"Alright I am heading down to the surface. Lincoln you are in charge."

Ezra sits on a rock, sulking, as he has done quite a few times the previous week. Arc then walks up to him.
"Kid what is wrong?" she asks him, sitting down next to him on the rock.
"You wouldn't understand, I shouldn't be doing this but I simply can't help it."
"...oh. Its that isnt it?" she says.
"Yes. I just miss Sabine. She has been on Mandalore the past month and it's not the same without her around." Ezra says.
"You know that traitor!?" Arc exclaims, suddenly scowling.
"Yes, and I love her. But I don't think she feels the same…and I know what she did, and I still feel the same…" Ezra sadly says.
"You know what she did? Well, clearly you don't know me, Jedi…" She spits out.
"What? What's wrong with Jedi? I don't even fully follow the Jedi code considering that I actually have attachments! I'm more of a grey Jedi.." Ezra says.
"The Jedi took everything from me! They took the boy I loved! They took any future I had with him! I have every reason to kill them all!" Arc spats at Ezra.
"I am not that Jedi…" Ezra says.
"And yet the boy I loved was a Jedi padawan...and was murdered by his own master...you don't know what that's like! You might suffer the same fate!" Arc yells.
"You loved a Jedi…" Ezra says.
"I did, and his master murdered him, and destroyed my happiness, my humanity, the only person I trusted! So I killed his master, and buried the traitor in an unmarked grave, unlike the elaborate one for my lost love!" she says.
"I'm sorry for your loss. I can't do much but if you need anything, just ask. I am not that master, I am willing to help." Ezra says, getting up and walking away.
"Why am I in such ruin?" Arc says, hiding her face in her hands.
BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM a strange gunshot noise goes, as Arc turns to see Robert 50 meters away, shooting something in the distance of kilometers.
"FUCK! I MISSED BY HALF A METER!" he shouts, and kicks a rock so hard is split in half.
"OWWWWWWWW MY FOOT!" Robert then shouts again, and rips his helmet off and throws it on the ground.
Arc starts off giggling then laughing profusely.
"What are you laughing at? You try missing at only 800 meters distance and see if ur pissed!" he shouts at her, grabbing his helmet and walking over.
"Nothing, it's just funny." she says, crying from laughter.
"I can hit a target at 1,500 meter distance yet I miss by half a meter at barely over half that distance! That's not funny!" he shouts.
"It totally is.." she says, suddenly getting unwanted thoughts in her head about the armored figure now sitting next to her, a large scowl on his scar covered face. Damn he is hot.
"No it is not! Especially WITH A FUCKING 24x OPTC!" he says.
"Is too ya dork!" she says, still giggling.
"I'm no dork you are! I single handedly captured an Imperial star destroyer!" he brags
"I know I am but so are you...DORK!" she says to him, still sniggering.
"GRRRRRR!" Robert growls in frustration, then picks up his Energy rifle and fires another hard light bolt into the distance.
BLAM
"SEE?! 1,600 meters! New Record!" he shouts excitedly.
"Only a total dork would be excited about that." Arc sarcastically remarks, lightly punching his arm.
"Sir, Imperial ships coming out of hyperspace. It's the 7th fleet." Lincoln says through Roberts comm. He puts his helmet back on.
"Oh crap, fuck me right in the asshole this scheisse is really bad!" he shouts. "Fire everything you have, tell other ships to do the same! I'm going to my fighter!"
"Oh kriff…can I come with?" Arc says.
"Ugh Fine but you aren't flying the bloody thing, you get to drop nukes on the Imps." Robert says…

"If thrawn fails this, you will go and take his place...Grand Admiral Doom." Palpatine says to a man who looks like a human except his Icy blue eyes with slit pupils.
"Yes my lord" Grand Admiral Doom says. The empire won't see the Yul invasion coming he thinks, smirking...
I know, cliffhanger, but this leads right into zero hour. Yes Arc was flirting with Robert. In the time before Arc and Ezra were yelling they were talking. Didn't include that though. No Robert doesnt know, his social skills are worse than Sabine's cause he grew up in the military only, not having parents. And next chapter, attollon will be glassed. For the last part, I introduced Grand Admiral Doom. he is an OC villian use often by Galvatream(in his order of light book for example, check him out he is very good) and he gave me permission to use him. Doom will not appear yet though, and Thrawn will get an interesting character arc when the German warships arrive. Also next chapter will be a week or two from now. I cant update often at the moment sorry guys. -HistoryObessedNerd16
