Hey guys, sorry I didn't post last weekend. There's a lot of family stuff going on, and I had to go to a wake for my grandfather today. I'm going to the funeral tomorrow, so I probably won't post tomorrow, but I'm on spring break, so I'll definitely be posting more this week. Again, sorry for the wait!

"Foolish, foolish turtles…"

Shredder chuckles from behind his helmet, reaching down and grasping the hilt of Leo's katana. He pulls upwards, the turtle underneath the blade rising a little, then falling back the short way back down, not making a sound. Shredder raises the katana, examining the blood slowly dripping down it.

"NO!" Leonardo screams, ready to charge at the man, but is suddenly held back by Karai. "Let me go! No!"

"Mikey! No!" Donnie shouts, Raph shouting close to the same thing.

Shredder grins, "Ah, Karai. Convenient for you to join us. Take these three to the cells. Do NOT let them escape," he says, his tone dark.

Karai bows, "Yes, father," she says, holding on tighter to Leo's arm, almost painfully. She opens her mouth as if to call for the Foot Bots, but instead, she quickly lets go of Leo, pulling out her single katana, "Get your brother!" she shouts, then dashes for Shredder.

"What?!" Shredder exclaims, dodging his daughter's katana.

"You heard her! Let's go!" Leo yells, still seeing red, even more so now than before.

With deafening yells, the three turtles sprint forward, brandishing their weapons. Foot Bots seem to dash in out of nowhere, wielding weapons of their own.

Not even stopping to fight, Donnie makes a beeline for his little brother. He crouches down quickly next to him, narrowly avoiding a slash from Shredder, who doesn't even realize that the lanky turtle is behind him, too busy dodging attacks from his daughter. He uses Leonardo's katana as a shield, but Karai acts smart.

Acting as if she is about to strike from above, she starts high, which makes Shredder start to block high, but Karai quickly spins and alters her strike, coming from below with a yell. Her katana hits the bottom part of the hilt, sending Leo's katana spiraling out of Shredder's hands and into the air.

In mid swing, Leo's eyes lock on his flying katana. He dive rolls to the right, swinging his one katana as he goes, taking out a Foot Bot. As he rises quickly to his feet, his other katana falls into his hand.

He and Raph go mad, absolutely crushing the Foot in blind fury.

"Tell me the truth! About my mother!" Karai yells as she swings her katana at Shredder, who blocks it with his claw-like weapons attached to his armor on his arms. Shredder ignores her demand, shoving her away from him with force that makes her stumble backwards and fall.

"We need to go! NOW!" Donnie suddenly screams, his staff already in his sheath. When his brothers look, they see the genius standing there, holding a limp, but pained looking Michelangelo in his arms.

Leo and Raph abandon their fight, sprinting to their purple-clad brother. Leo opens his mouth, looking to Karai, who stands quickly up, holding her katana defensively in front of her. She notices Leo, then exclaims, "Just go!" Every time Shredder tries to turn to the turtles to stop them, Karai manages to distract him, dashing in front of him and going to attack him.

Leo closes his mouth, blue eyes narrowed. As the Foot Bots quickly approach, Raph pulls a smoke bomb from his belt, throwing it forcefully to the ground, shrouding themselves in the smoke. Under the cover of the purple substance, the disappear into the shadows, then jump up into the rafters, Donnie being extra careful with Mikey in his arms.

Shredder glares at the last place he saw the turtles, suddenly letting out a roar of rage. Karai's cold glare gets even colder, "They're gone now! You won't win this!" she practically growls.

Shredder turns to Karai, "You have betrayed me…" he mutters, his eyes narrowed.

"And you betrayed me! All these years, you've raised me to know you as my father! But in reality, you're the man that removed my mother from this world!" Karai nearly screams, her katana still raised. "I know the truth! I know that Splinter is my father! My true father! I should've seen the signs before!"

Shredder's voice grows cold, "But you didn't." Suddenly, he lashes out with his 'claws' and slashes Karai's cheek, then rams his side into her, making her yell out in pain and fly backwards, slamming into a metal post, her head hitting it first.

Karai's eyes droop, then fall closed as she slumps, all consciousness gone. Slowly, Shredder walks to her, "I will find the turtles. And more importantly, I will find that rat… And I'll make him watch as I kill each one of his sons…" He stoops down, picking up Karai and throwing her over his shoulder, her stomach resting there. Suddenly, he smirks, "If the turtles are quick enough, they'll make it back to their lair to witness their youngest die…"

Shredder laughs darkly as he walks in the direction of the cells.

"How's he doing, Donnie?!" Leo asks as he and his brothers sprint across the rooftops, going as fast as they can.

"Kind of hard to tell when we're running so quickly!" Donnie exclaims, then sighs, realizing he snapped because of stress, "Not too great! We need to hurry!" Shell, I don't even know if this is fixable…

"I swear, next time I see Shredder, I'm gonna bash his face in!" Raph nearly shouts, still holding on tightly to his sais, squeezing them in anger.

They jump down into an alleyway, relieved to see a manhole cover. Leo dashes forward and pulls it to the side, letting Donnie carefully slip in with Mikey. Raph follows, and Leo climbs down after him, pulling the cover back into place.

Jumping down, the three run as quickly as they can to the lair. Donnie says quickly over his shoulder, "Raph, call April! Tell her to get my lab ready!"

Already pulling out his T-Phone, Raph nods, doing as Donnie requested. It takes a moment, but April answers, "Raph! Do you have Mikey?!"

Ignoring her question, but sort of answering it at the same time, "Get Don's lab ready! He's hurt… He's hurt real bad…" he says, at first very quick and loud, but he gets quieter, his voice sadder. He squeezes his eyes closed for a quick moment, then opens them again, narrowed, "Hurry!" he then exclaims, hanging up at that.

They continue their fast way in silence, navigating their way through the tunnels of the sewer. A sudden, pained cry makes them stop, eyes wide and glued to Mikey.

Mikey's eyes remain closed, but they scrunch up in pain as he arcs his back, his mouth opening to let out an agonizing yell. "Don't just stand there! C'mon!" Raph suddenly bellows, pulling Donnie's arm to make him resume running, Leo already running quickly ahead to help with the lab set-up.

Donnie swallows and nods, extremely worried. He runs quickly alongside his hot-headed brother, staring down at Mikey, "It's okay, Mikey, you're gonna be okay!"

Raph glances at his running brother, "Will he…?"

Donnie is silent, not answering. He raises his eyes, forcing himself to run quicker. He takes in shaky breaths, having a very bad feeling, almost wanting to answer Raphael's question as a no. Not necessarily wanting to, but he can't find any sign that it would be the opposite answer. Regardless of Mikey reacting to the pain, it wouldn't make a difference if he was awake or not, and right now, he's in an in-between state.

Finally making it to the lair, they leap over the turnstiles and running into the lab, which is fully prepared. April, Leo, and Master Splinter all turn to the other three. April gasps as she sees Mikey, and Splinter grows sad and worried, "Michelangelo… My son…"

Donnie quickly carries his brother to the examination table, quickly checking over his front for any immediate damage. He sees many things he needs to tend to later, but the major concern is his carapace. Donnie lays Mikey, now silent and still again, on his plastron. He gasps as he sees the large crevice in his little brother's carapace, blood flowing freely from the skin underneath.

Suddenly, Mikey starts yelling again, thrashing around in pain, tears quickly forming in his tightly shut eyes. "Mikey, Mikey, it's okay! You're home, and I'm gonna fix you up!" Donnie exclaims, trying to calm his brother down, but it doesn't work.

Splinter quickly steps up, putting his fingers near Mikey's neck and applying pressure, making the turtle fall still, but he still yells in what sounds like major pain. His yells turn to sobs, never once opening his eyes.

"Everyone leave the room. Please. I need my space, and being cramped by you guys won't help," Donnie says very quickly, managing to keep his voice under control, quickly hooking Mikey up to multiple machines as he says this.

Everyone complies, giving Donnie the space he needs. He rushes to gather the supplies he needs, frequently looking to his brother and the machines. "C'mon, Mikey… Be stubborn like you always are… Be strong and fight this pain…" He says to the orange-clad ninja, who still doesn't open his eyes.

Donnie grabs a soft, clean rag and wets it, then presses it in between the crevice in Mikey's plastron, clearing the blood so he can get a better look at how deep it is. If he's extremely lucky, it will only need stitches. As for the crevice… he has no idea how to fix that…

It's like Raph's plastron, except about ten times worse. And it's not like Mikey's carapace just got chipped… It got indented. The shell is literally digging into Mikey's skin…

Donnie looks at the puncture hole that the katana left in his skin, letting out a relived breath as he sees it isn't as deep as he thought it was. His carapace must've slowed the katana down… Donnie thinks to himself.

Now focusing on Mikey's indented carapace, Donnie tries to find something to pry the shell back up without hurting him. Since the shell is digging into Mikey's skin, it's causing more bleeding, and definitely more pain.

Beeeeeeep…

Donnie snaps his head to the heart monitor, seeing the jumping line go flat. His eyes widen in horror, "No… His heart stopped…"
