A/N) Here you guys go... sadly I didn't get much of a reaction the last two chapters. I figured it was because they were short. But I would still like to know what you guys think, I really would.
Well, anyway, I wrote this one, it's longer and more action-y. Maybe you guys could tell me how I'm doing now?
Love to hear it... er, read it ;-)
"Croc! The prisoner, bring her here."
"Yes sire."
Croc obeyed his master and came dragging an elderly woman in chains. The dark kings eyes glared as poor Misako tried to pull herself away, her hair pulled out of it's usual braid, her face scratched, dried blood caked on the side of her mouth.
"So... this is the nosey neighbor is it." He stood in front of her.
Misako glared at him as best as she could without her glasses, "Who are you?" She demanded, yanking her chained arm out of Crocs grasp.
"Calm yourself woman, it doesn't matter who I am... not yet anyway. What matters is, who you are. And how did you find this place?" He maintained a calm indifferent voice, even though his eyes were blazing. This frightened Misako even more.
"Wouldn't you like to know." She snapped, hiding her fear while kicking Croc in the shin.
The big man didn't except it and stumbled over his own feet. Misako used this to her advantage and yanked her chains out of his grasp completely. She kicked the apparent 'king' making him lurch over, She instantly ran, with as much durability as any young person, as he hollered curses after her.
Breathless the dark king straightened and enveloped Croc in his red aura, "Listen and listen good, get her. No. Matter. What." He spat with death meant behind each word.
Croc nodded fearfully and stumbled off to catch the sprightly older woman. If he didn't... his life was over.
"Slave!" He roared into a corner.
The Shadow appeared as if by magic, "Get me that woman, or else." He growled out, venom seeping through his order.
The Shadow lost no time and gracefully flipped away disappearing down the dark corridor Misako had gone.
Misako ran, her breath coming fast and hard. She could still run, but stamina was getting down for her. It didn't help that the place was pitch black and she didn't have her glasses on. Running into walls would slow anyone down.
She hit her foot on an edge and went flying down, her chained wrists making a huge clatter. Curse these shackles, I'll never get away with them on...
Her heart was thumping in her ears as she curled into a dark corner, heavy footsteps pounding closer, and closer. Misako squeezed her eyes shut as the foot steps were right on her... then whooshed past.
She opened them and saw that huge man running down the rest of the corridor with a lantern... Maybe he thought she knew the way out. Only way to find out is follow him. Slowly she stood up, gathered her chains, securing them tightly so they wouldn't clink together, she followed the dimming light as closely as she dared. A cold creeping sensation tingled up her spin, somebody was watching...
"I don't see anything..." Jay whined as the ninja tried to find their way down the dark corridor.
"We know that Jay, you've told us at least twenty times in the last three minutes." Kai snapped nearly tripping over a stone.
"I know but still, why did we decide to go down this dark dank hole without a light? Who's dumb idea was that?"
"Look we have to find Mom, your not helping with all this complaining and-"
"Shhhhhhhh... I hear something." Cole cut the others off as they pressed themselves against the walls to listen.
Silence...
Then they heard a shriek.
"Mom!" Lloyd forgot where they were as he charged in the direction he thought he heard his mother.
"Lloyd! Wait!" Zane tried to stop the younger boy to no avail.
"Come on, we'd better go after him." Cole started after the blond, the others close behind.
"And this is where the good guys get killed off one by one because they didn't listen to their smart friend and-"
"Would you shut up already Jay? Seriously we have more important things to worry about then..." Kai stopped midsentence as his eye were nearly blinded by a bright light.
The ninja blinked and saw through blurry vision Misako being dragged away by a hulking figure, a shadowed one had Lloyd by the collar, dragging him after, before it saw the others.
Two millisecond later Kai felt a stinging jab to his stomach, making him double over, Cole fell next to him, he didn't see what happened to Jay and Zane before the world was even blacker then it had been two minutes ago...
He wasn't sure how long he had been out. But when he came to it seemed like his eyes were still closed. No, the room was just pitch black. His head ached from a sharp blow there, he wasn't sure who gave it to him. His mind was a blur, he had no idea what had happened.
Slowly Cole checked to see if he could feel his body, since he couldn't see it. Arms. Check. Legs. Check. Head, hurts, but still there. I guess I'm all here then. He muttered his thoughts to himself, trying to figure out where he might be, what happened to the others? Misako, Lloyd? The Guys? He remembered seeing a huge man and the shadow figure... The shadow, he, er, she must be operating down here... Well at least we know we're on the right track. Which ever track that is. He rubbed his aching head as his thoughts rushed through, not having anybody to talk to, it felt like he was slowly going crazy in the dark.
A screeching, grating sound made him cringe back in disgusts, a dim light flooded the room, making his eyes hurt because he wasn't accustomed to any light at all.
Thumping footsteps, a hulking shadow then, he was suddenly being lifted off his feet by the collar of his Ninja suit.
"The Master would like to speak to you." The obvious lackey spoke in a proper accented voice, catching Cole off guard.
"Um... do I have a choice in seeing him?" He asked rhetorically.
The grip tightened around his throat, "No."
Then he was dragged out and down a dimly lit hall and shoved into a badly decorated room.
There was Jay, Zane, Kai, and Lloyd tied up in chains on their knees before a huge throne seemingly carved out of bones.
"Ah, so you're the black ninja. Hum... I thought you would be bigger. No matter, now I can finally commence in the punishing."
Cole glared, his silver eyes narrowing as he studied their captor. A tall, slightly thin man, couldn't be much older then him. He had dark, brown and black hair, his eyes glowed an unnatural red and his entire persona screamed, evil.
"Who are you?" Cole questioned as Croc threw him down next to his friends.
The King rolled his red eyes, "Oh very well, since I'm going to slowly and painfully kill you all anyway, I'll let you have the honor of knowing my name." He adjusted his flowing black cape on his shoulders, "My name is King Dyron, and you are doomed." He chuckled darkly at their grim faces.
"What do you want with that stone you stole?" Zane spoke up now.
The King smiled, a vicious gleaming smile, "To destroy all of Ninjago and turn it into a dark, cruel desolate world ruled by me. Just like my grandmother wanted." He laughed again, a heartless dry laugh that hurt to listen to.
"I don't get the joke." Jay grumbled sarcastically.
Kai jabbed him in the ribs, glaring a signal, this was no time for jokes.
This guy was crazy, they all could see that.
Lloyd squirmed unsteadily in his binds, "Who was your grandmother?"
Dyron glared, "She was the past Queen of the Underworld, when that cursed Neero fool refused her she took his cursed soul after his banishment and promised to create a prophecy. Her future generations would take control of the stone and rule the outside world as well as the under, in her name, it is my duty and dream to do as she prophesized I would." He smiled a smug smile this time, as if proud to be of evil blood.
Kai felt his anger boil to it's breaking point, "Yah? How do you know she prophesized that you would be the one to do it." He snapped, standing up threateningly.
The king hissed and enveloped the red ninja in his dark power, surprising them all as he dragged Kai's face into the ground, "Because fool, I am the new Kind of the underworld, and you all are finished. My amusement is done. Croc. Kill them." He threw Kai into the wall, he landed with a groan and a sickening crunch.
"Now!" Lloyd yelled as he jumped up and threw his chains in Dyron's face. The vile king grabbed them and saw his prey was escaping. The ninja jumped up and ran, snatching Kai up they headed for the big stone doors.
A sharp red bolt of energy nearly beheaded Zane as he stumbled.
Cole punched the door making it crumble into pieces, enabling their escape.
"Go, go, go!" Jay yelped as he jumped over a stone that Croc had thrown in an attempt to side track him.
They heard the king holler in seething rage before the saw Croc stomping behind them.
"Get them! They must not leave here alive!"
Dyron knew he should go after them but... he had to get his stone first. Keep it safe, that was most important. But those... Those Ninja, they weren't just mere warriors, the way that black one had knocked the door down, it wasn't naturel. They weren't all the eye could see either, which means they could be a threat to his plan. That would be bad. No, they would die, they had too.
He would make sure of it.
