A/N- New chapter and shiz...yay...I've been lazier than usual these days OvO But meh, this will be a short story. It'll probably only have like 15 or less chapters. Well have fun enjoying the fluff and me being unfunny. XD

Allen sat on the couch with a scowl, sipping apple juice like it was vodka and ogling Cross as he paraded around the living room with his prized possessions. They hadn't left Cross' house yet of course, seeing as Lavi wanted to 'talk' to Ms. Anita.

And by talk, he obviously meant pitifully attempt and fail at flirting with her.

Though Allen couldn't watch him crash and burn right now, his eyes were instead fixated on the haughty way that Cross was showing off. The red haired man smirked and stared Allen straight in the eyes, countering the boy's glare. "I don't even know why I asked you to watch my house. Not when I have Maria and Judgment over here." The man practically cooed as he held each sleek metal gun in both of his hands, one black and one a stunning silver.

The gleaming weapons caught Lavi's attention immediately (Of course it did) and he looked over at them curiously. "Whoa, Allen he treats those things better than he treats you!"

"Shut up Lavi."

"Hell, the cat gets treated better than you..." Lavi commented as he looked over at the golden feline who was currently curled up poshly on a cushion.

Allen turned to glare at Lavi this time, before the guns were promptly shoved into his face.

"Before you leave here... you should polish these babies for old time's sake. Oh, but don't let that kid touch them." He nudged his head over in Lavi's direction. "He looks like the destructive type...plus he's kinda weird." Lavi tried not to look scandalized as he heard him, shouting out an indignant, "Hey!"

"Ah, cause naming material possessions isn't weird as shit." Allen spat back, pressing his cheek into his palm. Lavi didn't even notice that Allen had just unintentionally come to his defense. He instead made his way over to Cross in order to fawn over the twin pistols in the man's grip.

"Cool..." He exclaimed as soon as he was near the older red head. Lavi was all over them in seconds, pawing at the weapons and trying to persuade a very annoyed Cross if he could use them. "They're awesome! Are they real?"

A growl from Cross.

"Can I touch them?"

An irritated glare.

"Are you a terrorist?"

"No...and I don't recall taking care of two brats as of today you uppity little shit." Cross finally responded, becoming quite fed up with Lavi's eagerness to use his guns.

"Awww." As if finally getting the hint that he wouldn't be able to handle them, the younger red head pouted. Cross huffed as he walked away, returning to his side next to Anita and putting Maria and Judgment away in a glass case. The black haired woman shook her head at her lover before laying her head on his shoulder.

Lavi eyed their behavior and made his way back over to Allen, looking at him expectantly. When the white haired boy felt Lavi's stare, he looked back and snapped at him.

"What?!"

Lavi rolled his eyes and made a hand gesture to Cross and Anita who were practically snuggling.

Allen only looked dumbfounded before blushing profusely. "W-Wha- Lavi, NO!"

They left the house at around midnight, the bitter cold biting at their noses and ears in the late Autumn, early Winter weather. Allen silently cursed himself for wearing his 'favorite' jacket, seeing as it was very thin. Having a great looking jacket didn't help when the wind was strong enough to tear it right off your back.

"It's freezing..." Allen complained, hugging his arms and rubbing them up and down for warmth. Lavi eyed him curiously with a sly smile. "You're that cold beansprout?"

Allen glared ahead at nothing in particular and shivered as they walked, not even bothering to look at Lavi. "Nooooo, like it's not below 30 right now...and my name is Allen!"

Lavi laughed, tugging off his coat while an oblivious Allen continued to stare forward angrily. "Okay, okay, it was a stupid question. Calm your tits...they're slapping me in the face."

"They are calmer than the fucking ocean breeze!" Allen scowled before a startled expression replaced his earlier hostility. A sudden warmth flooded his veins as Lavi's fur lined coat was draped around him, still containing body heat from the red head. Lavi scratched his cheek awkwardly and stared up at the pitch black night sky, being left with only his insulated brown sweater in the quickly increasing cold. "I noticed that since you've been around that Cross guy, you've been hella on edge and angry. I thought I'd...ya know...cut you a break today and stop being a jerk."

Allen stared blankly at him for a long time as they continued walking back to their dorm before a smile broke out on his face and he laughed. Lavi tilted his head curiously as the whitette had a fit of cathartic giggles. "Lavi...you're so cheesy..."

An unfamiliar heat burned in Lavi's cheeks as he looked away from Allen with an embarrassed expression. "Fine bitch, I'll take it back then..." He huffed and crossed his arms. Allen immediately looked reluctant to give up his new found source of heat, wrapping the coat tighter around him. "But I'm still cold..." He whined and zipped it up all the way to his neck, as if doing so would stop Lavi from removing it.

"That's what you get for wearing that thrift shop jacket." Lavi glowered as they quickly approached the street where their dorm was.

"Hey, this jacket is- Bad. Ass." Allen defended, sending a sideways glare to the red head who was walking beside him.

"Pfft...hahahaha!" It was a few moments before they both shared a laugh which seemed to cancel out everything miserable at that moment. Nothing funny had even happened, though it was a good kind of laugh, one that gave relief to both boys as they stood at the threshold to their dormitory. After their small outburst of laughter, Lavi stepped ahead of Allen and grabbed the handle of the door, tugging lightly. It was then as Lavi pulled open the front door for Allen, who in turn thanked him by turning his nose up in the air before promptly falling on his ass from not looking where he was going - it was only then - that Lavi realized just how pleasant it was to be around the younger boy.

Lavi offered his hand with an amused smirk to help Allen up, who actually took his help this time and thanked him properly with a slight embarrassed blush. The two of them walked up the stairs to their shared living space, and Lavi had been thinking. Despite what it seemed, the witty banter was a real joy to participate in. Allen was very intelligent and it was a mystery how he hadn't realized it before. Now that he thought about it, his feelings for Allen weren't as shallow as they were at first. He duly noted that they weren't just ankle deep either...no. He had just barely scratched the surface of their unofficial relationship.
