Strange Feelings
"Stop!"
The trainer sighed and looked at his best fencer, puzzled. Lion put off his mask, sweat falling on his cheeks and on his back. In front of him, his comrade and opponent did the same thing and, with a grin, he said:
"What happens, Lion? You had never been so bad before. But hey! I can win against you for the first time!"
Lion groaned and answered nothing. He heard the trainer sighing again and telling them to take a break. The young man was glad about it and came near of his bad, took his water bottle and drank it. Then, he sat down on a bench and waited. The trainer came near of him and said:
"You're not concentrating today. A bad thing at school?"
"Something like that."
It wasn't true, nothing happened at school. It was him who wasn't able to concentrate, and it pissed him off. He was always thinking about Sunday's morning, when he learnt that Yuri and Flynn wouldn't be roommate anymore; and every time he thought about that, he remembered Yuri half-naked. He didn't know why and wasn't sure to want it. It pissed him off.
He stood up and joined back his comrade, before putting his mask and began the training. He bit his lips when his thoughts came back, and he groaned. His opponent touched him more and more and for the first time, he lost against him. He sighed whereas putting off his mask, ignoring the worries in his trainer's eyes and the grin of his comrade.
"Hey, Lion! I don't know what happens and all, but I hope you'll be back soon."
Lion glance at his opponent who was smiling kindly to him and he smiled back. Well, at least, he wouldn't get on his nerves. In a way, he looked like Yuri. No, no! Why did this man always come in mind when he didn't want!? He rubbed his temples and, suddenly, feeling eyes on him, he raised his eyes that opened wide soon after. Standing in the row of seats, with a grin on the face, Yuri looked at him.
Oh please…. It was the only thought that Lion had. Sometimes, he thought that he was cursed. He changed his clothes and, after saying good bye to his trainer and comrades, he left the sport room. Outside, it was raining and Yuri was waiting for him with an umbrella, a little smile on his lips.
"I'm surprised to see you there."
"I did something near of here and I decided to come. Asbel and Richard always said that it was something to see."
"Hmpf."
"But seems it was a bad day."
Lion didn't answer because he would shout out that it was because of the black haired man, and he knew that he couldn't explain.
"You're in a bad mood." Yuri noticed.
"You don't say!?"
By seeing Yuri's expression, he knew that he went too far, but the man didn't say a thing about it and Lion didn't care. They walked in silence for a while, one in a bad mood and the other one avoiding his face. But then, Lion's eyes caught the journal in the hand of Yuri and noticed that it was opened on apartments announces. He frowned and asked:
"You're searching for a new apartment?"
It was only logical as Flynn would leave soon. But Yuri didn't answer, looking pissed off. Great, everyone was in a bad mood. They kept walking quietly, and when they had to separate, Lion told the older to take care with his work but the black haired man never replied.
He left the bathroom with only a towel around his hips and another one on his head. Behind him, the smoke of the hot shower followed him, entering the living room and then his own room. He lied on his bed, not minding that the blanket became wet. He felt fine and ashamed at the same time. He was fine thanks to the hot water, ashamed because of what he did under this same water. Not that it was the first time he did it – after all, he was near of his seventeen and had already had wet dreams - , but the thoughts that he had during it…He never asked for it. It's all because of Asbel and Richard…, he mumbled, not wanting to face a true that scared him.
Lion sighed and took his phone on his bedside table. Well, he wasn't ashamed only for that. He knew that he was in a bad mood hours ago, and he put all of his frustration on Yuri who did nothing for that - except being half-naked and forcing him to do things under the shower. No, Lion, dangerous place.
Quickly, he typed "Sorry" on his phone and sent it. He wasn't sure that the older would accept his apologizes, but he could give it a try. He looked at his phone in hope, until it rang and that Yuri's name appeared.
"Can you tell me what happened?"
Lion tilted his head.
"Something was on my mind all the day. It bothered me. I'm sorry."
"What was it? Can I help?"
Typically Yuri, huh? Did that mean that he accepted his apologizes?
"Nah, I'll figure it out myself."
"What?"
"Nothing."
He didn't want to talk about this with anybody. He knew that Asbel and Richard would tease him. As for Yuri…No, bad idea.
"Lion, you know that if you need help with something, I'll always be there, huh? And Asbel and Richard too. Don't try to solve something alone." The message said and Lion blushed, thinking that Yuri was cute before noticing it and looking away the phone. "Can I phone you?" A second message said.
Lion bit his lips before typing his answer and waited. Soon enough, his phone rang and he picked up it.
"Hello?"
Nobody answered and Lion was ready to hang up until Yuri's voice came to his ear.
"Sorry, I was trying to put the loudspeaker."
"You're doing something else while calling me? Why do you call me anyway?"
"Wanna hear your soft voice."
"Haha, really funny." Lion pouted.
"I can see you sulking from here, my little boy."
Lion groaned and he could hear Yuri laughing softly. They stayed quiet for a moment until Yuri asked:
"So, what's your problem?"
"I told you that I'll figure it out all by myself."
"Sure you don't want help?"
"I can't ask for help."
"Why?"
"Forget it."
Yuri sighed and Lion made a face, taking advantage that the older couldn't see him. Now, he needed to change the subject quickly.
"So…Hum…You're searching for an apartment?"
"Yeah. The one we have now will be too expensive for me alone."
"Oh."
That was true; Flynn was leaving with his girlfriend. It was a pity, he thought, because he couldn't imagine Yuri without Flynn. But still, there were moments in life where you couldn't do as you want.
"Rutee won't be back before July…" He whispered more for himself than for Yuri.
"Yes, and?"
"You can live with me until then…?"
Wait. Why did he propose something like that? It wasn't really the time, especially now that he wasn't so sure of himself. He heard Yuri laughing and he frowned. Did he miss something?
"Thank you, Lion, but I can't accept."
"Why?"
"Firstly, I'm not sure that Rutee will be happy about that. Secondly, I want a little bit of…intimacy."
"Intimacy…?" Lion repeated. "Yuri!"
That man, seriously!
"I can see you blushing from here." The black haired man said, and Lion was sure that he grinned. "Don't worry, you'll understand when you'll have a girlfriend, or a boyfriend, if you prefer them like that."
"If I could punch you…"
Again, Yuri laughed and when his heart bounced quickly, Lion knew that he needed to know what happened with him.
"Welcome!"
The next month came quickly than Lion had thought and now, he was entering Yuri's new apartment. It was a little place, with four rooms – a living room, a bathroom, a bed room and, the most important for Yuri, the kitchen – and it was, for now, a little bit impersonal. But Lion was sure that Yuri would take the place soon with his usual grin.
"It's a good place."
Near of my place too, the young boy thought gladly. He would never confess it to the black haired man, through. Never.
"Yep. Everything is perfect."
Yuri seemed really happy about his new apartment, and it was all that mattered. But deep inside him, Lion couldn't stop but being a little bit sad for him.
"Is that really okay with you? I mean…Living without Flynn?"
Yuri looked at him as if he said something strange before answering:
"Don't worry for me. Whether I like it or not, one day, I would have live without Flynn, and it's not like we're not going to see each other, huh?"
Yes, he was right. And Lion knew that one day, Asbel and Richard would live together, as well as Rutee and Sthan. As for him…He would probably live all alone. Before meeting Yuri, he would have never cared, but now, it was bothering him.
As if he read on his mind, Yuri patted Lion's head and he couldn't help but smile. Even if he lived alone, he could see his friends, and that's all that mattered for now.
It was raining a lot since some days. They entered November with it and it didn't want to leave since then. Holding his umbrella in one hand and a shopping bag in the other, Lion walked quickly, heading for his house. He didn't know why but he was happy and for the first time, he invited his friends at home for the evening. Of course, it was a little bit late when he sent his text, but Richard and Asbel answered that they would come when they would finish. And Lion didn't want to know. As for Yuri…He was still waiting for an answer, but if everything was fine, the black haired man would come; at least, Lion knew that he didn't working this night.
Smiling, he headed for his place. As he was in Yuri's street, he wondered if he had to search the answer by himself or if he would wait until one hour before the rendezvous. But then, he saw the black haired man heading his home, and Lion was glad.
"Yu—" He began to call but stopped.
Yuri wasn't alone. A handsome man was with him and he took Yuri's hand. At first, Lion hoped that Yuri would punch the man but he only turned his face towards him and smiled. The man kissed Yuri and then, the two men entered Yuri's residence.
Lion was still looking at the door, eyes wide opened, biting his lips, feeling pain in his heart. Then, he felt tears coming in the corner of his eyes. Wait, what!? He thought. Why do I react like that? It only means that he won't come tonight, it's not tragic. But he could have sent a text back, seriously. That man!
It was only for that, there was no other reason. Why would he want to cry just because Yuri was seeing a friend or a member of his family? Yet, it was uncommon to kiss a friend or parents. No, it must be his boyfriend and it was the only logical thing. And why will I care that he has a boyfriend anyway? But the more he kept telling that, the more he wanted to cry. What the hell is happening with me? It's okay, I'll spend the night with Asbel and Richard, I won't die because Yuri is with that stupid man! Wait, did he just think "stupid man"? How could he say that he was stupid whereas he didn't know him? He shook his head and walked again until his home.
Unfortunately, he wasn't happy anymore.
