Chapter 7: Adulthood
Kida's POV
Dad finally stopped freaking out every time I went on a date after I turned 17, but now that I was 18 he worried that I was going to move out and have problems that I wouldn't be able to fix.
"She'll be fine, she's not moving out until they build her a temple when she's twenty. And either way, she's smart and responsible enough to avoid most bad situations." Mom rolled her eyes.
"I just worry." Dad said.
"I know, and that means you love me, but it gets to be really annoying sometimes. Most times." I kissed his cheek.
"It's not like she's getting married." Aphrodite giggled.
"Don't even start on that subject." Dad sighed.
"I taught her everything I know, and you trust me, right? Even Percy's mom trusted me when she met me." Annabeth reminded them.
"I think she was more shocked that I brought the perfect girl home the first and only time I had a girlfriend. Smart, pretty, funny, nice, could whip me into shape, and was willing to put her life on the line for mine. And that's the first and only time I brought a girl home." Percy laughed.
"You got lucky." Mom giggled.
"I just worry." Dad sighed.
"Don't." I smiled. "I'll see you guys after my date."
We all waved goodbye to each other, then I left.
(A/N: This will be the last chapter. I wasn't even planning on making this story, it's just an extension of Athena & Poseidon. Thanks for reading.)
