Summary:Sora moves to Twilight Town where he stumbles into Riku, who is the head of a group of bullies. One night while walking, Sora finds that Riku lives in an abusive household. Chapter Seven
Axel felt the water pouring from the shower head to make sure it wasn't too hot. He helped Roxas undress and lifted him into the shower. Axel's eyes examined every bruise and cut with malice.
"Axel, they know," Roxas whispered.
Axel nodded in agreement. Why else would they do this?
"Looks like it's just us. We need to tell Riku, but..."
Roxas looked up waiting for his partner to finish.
"His step-dad...I watched him punch the shit out of him. I assume that's why he always wears a jacket and pants."
Roxas sighed.
"We have to help him, Axel. We're his only friends left and he shouldn't be in a house like that."
"I know, but there's nothing we can do. Think about it Roxas...His step-dad is the head of law enforcement. If we attempt anything, he'll turn us in and I can't go back there."
"Then there's got to be another way."
Axel looked at his lover. His hand brushed every blemish the gang caused. He knew Roxas would have his way. The boy always did.
"What about Sora? I tailed him to his house the other day. I know where he lives. Do you think he's home from the hospital yet?"
Axel shrugged. "I hate to involve that kid, but there's nothing else I can think of. His father looks like he could take out an army."
Roxas grinned.
"I got an idea. It's just a start, but we can work from there. Tomorrow, I'll go see if Sora's home."
Axel groaned.
"I'm going with you. Our chances of surviving Saix is better if we're together. We'll go see him tomorrow and you can tell him whatever you need to."
The redhead bent down and kissed Roxas. Roxas smiled. He knew Axel couldn't resist him.

Leon looked at his sleeping son.
Such a strong boy he is...
A quiet knock came from the front door. When he opened it, Cloud stood in front of him.
"Right on time," Leon whispered. He had left a note for Sora saying he would be out with a friend for most of the day.
Leon closed the front door and locked it. The two got into Cloud's car and left the house.
"How's he doing?" Cloud asked.
"As horrible as he looks, he was laughing all day yesterday. It's very unlike him, but he seems happy so I haven't said anything."
Cloud nodded.
"Some of those medications tend to make people a little...loopy. He'll bounce right back when his injuries heal. Where did you want to go?"
Leon shrugged with a smile. "It doesn't matter. I'm game for anything. I just need to be back before dinner so I can make Sora some food."
Cloud chuckled and said, "I thought you might say that. In that case, let's go over to my house. I already have a meal planned up for us."
Leon's eyebrow raised as he turned to Cloud. He was debating whether to risk saying something.
"So...It's a date?" he asked with a smirk.
Cloud laughed nervously.
Is it possible that he likes me?
"Yeah, you could say that."
Cloud pulled into the driveway to his house. Leon did not expect it to be the same size as his house. He thought it would be much bigger. The doctor could see the curiosity and knew what he was thinking.
"It's just me and I'm not home often so I needed a semi-small house."
Cloud unlocked the door and allowed Leon inside first. He turned to a small table. It had been set with two plates and silverware.
"Make yourself at home. I'll get lunch started."
"I'll help. I rather enjoy cooking," he said.
Cloud shrugged and lead him into the kitchen. He pulled out the food and handed Leon a knife. Leon took it and began to chop the vegetables while Cloud handled the chicken.
The chicken was in the oven when Leon finished cutting everything. He helped Cloud with the dishes after, then dried his hands.
Cloud couldn't take his eyes off Leon the entire time they ate.
"Something on your mind?"
Cloud choked on his piece of chicken. When a few seconds went by with no improvement, Leon leaped from his chair and performed the Heimlich. The piece of chicken flew across the table. Cloud gasped for air while Leon chuckled.
"Glad to see you're so enamored that you forgot how to swallow."
Cloud blushed then gave Leon a sore look. Leon kissed him. When he pulled away he smirked.
"Don't look at me like that again. It's not suited for you."

Riku slowly rolled off the mattress. His body hurt everywhere. A mirror revealed what had happened after the drug took over his mind. Bruises circled his wrists. Whip marks covered his chest and back.
With a sigh, he put on a shirt and walked to the kitchen. A note waited for him.
Riku,
You were such a good little pet last night, I decided to give you the day off. Consider yourself lucky.
Riku crumpled the paper and threw it in he trash.
"At least it was worth it," he muttered to himself.
It was a bit past noon which gave him plenty of time. He went into into the shower with warm water. He smiled to himself as the water washed away the filth from the previous night. When he was done cleaning, Riku put on his clothes and went on his way to Sora's house.
When he got to the door, he knocked. Someone ran through the house, which he thought was odd. When the door opened, his jaw dropped.
"Sup!?" exclaimed Roxas with a bright smile.
Riku looked closer and saw bruises. He knew they didn't come from Axel.
"What are you doing here and why the hell do you look like shit?"
Roxas rolled his eyes and moved out of the way so Riku could enter. Sora couldn't turn around, but he managed a quiet welcome. Axel was sitting across from the brunet with a smirk.
"What the hell are you guys doing here? Sora, are they giving you any problems?" he asked, turning to Sora.
"Nope, actually we need to sit and talk," he said, patting the couch cushion beside him.
Riku looked between the three and didn't move.
"What's going on?"
Sora clenched his jaw.
"Please, come sit down. Do not make me move, Riku."
Riku turned to Sora and saw the pain in his face. He looked on the table where his medicine was. The bottle had not moved from the previous day.
With a groan, he sat beside Sora. Roxas sat on Axel's lap with a concerned look. Axel started.
"Riku, the gang came to our apartment last night. They trashed the place and beat the shit out of Roxas while I was out. It's out of control and it needs to stop now. Actually, there's something else that needs to stop too."
Roxas frowned as he stared at the confused Riku.
"We know Ansem's been abusing you, Riku. You're eighteen now. Why don't you live with us?"
Riku shook his head and stood.
"I'm leaving," he mumbled. Sora grabbed the male's arm.
"Riku, please sit down and talk."
"You guys won't understand. I can't just leave the house. He'll make sure of that."
Roxas shook his head.
"If you don't leave, you'll die in there. Riku, a person's body can only handle so much."
Sora looked up at the male and said, "We'll find a way, Riku. One way or another, we're getting you out of that house. As for the gang, we'll find a way to do that too."
Riku walked towards the front door then stopped.
"Thanks guys, but there's nothing you, nor anyone, can do. As for the gang, they're probably tracking us right now. I won't put anyone at risk for my sake, so stop."
Riku walked out the front door without another word.
Axel let out a dissatisfied sigh and stood.
"We should follow. He's right. Saix is probably watching us as we speak. Sora, here's our number. Call if anything comes up."
Axel handed Sora a piece of paper a few numbers.
"Roxas is usually really good about answering, so I'd try him first."
Axel left the house, followed by Roxas.
When they got outside, Axel stopped at the doorstep. The entire gang stood in front of Riku, who hadn't left the driveway. Saix stepped before them with a cold smile pasted on his face.
"Riku, nice to see you not fucking for a change."
Riku gritted his teeth and clenched his hands into fists, ready to fight. Axel and Roxas ran up next to him, but were grabbed by two other members.
"Leave them out of this, Saix."
Saix laughed and walked up to the smaller male. Riku never let size scare him out of a fight.
"Riku, these two betrayed me. They spied on me and they've stolen a few things from me in the past. You see, Riku, those are the only two that support you."
Saix looked up and nodded to the figures dressed in black. They both pulled out knives and stabbed Axel and Roxas. The two dropped to the ground as blood left their bodies. Axel stopped moving before Roxas did. Roxas looked at Riku for help, but soon closed his eyes for the last time.
Riku looked in horror as pure rage consumed him.
Saix laughed as the other members closed around Riku.
"I would kill you, Riku...If I didn't want to watch you suffer for the rest of your life. Besides your dad may get lonely without his sex slave."
Riku swung at the taller male, but was pulled back by two others. The hood fell off to one of them.
"Tidus, I will fucking kill you," he said.
Tidus chuckled and shook his head.
"No, Riku. You won't, because you have no power. I have power now."
Saix walked up to him and shoved his fist into the other's stomach. He turned to the rest of the group.
"Get the other two and put their bodies somewhere. Riku's coming with us. As for the other one in the house, leave him. There's not much he can do."
Riku took one last look as Axel and Roxas were carried away. He held back the tears and focused on the physical pain.
As they dragged Riku away, Sora picked up the phone in a panic. He had only seen Saix hit Riku and take away Axel and Roxas. So much blood covered the lawn. He would never get the image out of his mind.

"Sora? What's wrong?" Leon asked, out of breath.
"Dad, please...hurry!" Sora yelled on the phone.
Leon jumped out of the king-sized bed. He threw his clothes on and turned to Cloud who looked at him confused.
"There's something wrong with Sora. I need to go!"
Cloud could hear the panic in Leon's voice. He wasted no time getting his own clothes on and drove as fast as he could to their house. When Leon ran out of the car, he paused at the blood pool in the grass. Cloud looked around wide-eyed and ran through the house after Leon.
Sora still had the phone in his hand. Cloud could see the fear from the boy. Leon was already by his side asking what happened.
"They took him, Dad. They murdered them..." he sobbed.
"Who's 'they'!? Murdered who?"
"Axel...Roxas are dead. They took Riku, Dad."
Leon turned to Cloud for help.
"I'll call the police."
It took a few minutes for the police to come. Leon had put the panicked Sora back on the couch and tried to keep him calm. Cloud waited until the officer came to the door.
"Ah, Dr. Strife. I didn't expect to see you here," said the man.
Sora turned around, forgetting his broken bones. When he saw the man's face he started yelling.
"No! Don't tell him! Stop Dr. Strife! You can't!"
Sora fell off the couch and grabbed a pair of scissors that had been on the table next to him. Leon grabbed his arm and snatched the scissors from him.
"What the hell has gotten into you, Sora. Calm down!"
Cloud turned back to Ansem.
"We should take this outside. Clearly, this young man is not feeling well," Cloud managed as he watched Leon trying to control his son.
Ansem nodded and went outside with the doctor.
Sora struggled to get out of Leon's grasp. He ignored the protest from his chest.
"Sora! Stop!"
When Sora refused, Leon slapped the boy's face. Sora stopped and pushed himself from Leon's hold. Leon sat there in shock.
What have I done?
"I fucking hate you!" Sora yelled as he ran out of the room.
Leon looked at his hands.
"Sora, I'm so sorry," he whispered.
They investigated the yard and asked Sora what he saw. Sora told the police exactly what he saw. When they left, he peeked out the door from his room. The doctor was still at their house even though it had been hours. He could hear the doctor trying to console his father.
He sat on his bed and sobbed for an hour, remembering Axel and Roxas. He had only known them for a couple hours, but knew they were doing their best to help.
Cloud and Leon retired to the room. When Sora was positive they were asleep, he sneaked out from his room and headed downstairs. He grabbed the bottle of pain medication and took it.
"I'm getting Riku back," he said determined as he walked out the front door.
