long pause like this again (And knowing me there will be at some point... .") Please either Review or PM me to remind me that I have people waiting on me to post a new chapter already ^^" I'm not saying that'll always be the case and I'll need a reminder but in those times if it's been more than a couple weeks or you start worrying about the future of this story, that would be the time ^^" (Of course I'm not opposed to any general feedback or reviews either, I love those too, hearing what you lovely people think of the things I write is one of my favorite things in life be it constructive criticism or praise :3)
Until next time lovelies ;3

"Kyo," Shigure starts, in a jesting voice. "I hear you gave Tohru a little scare while you were out prowling around last night,"
"Kyo's a stalker, Kyo's a stalker," The dog zodiac singsongs cheerily.
I had to bite the inside of my cheek to suppress a grin.
It was good to see I hadn't screwed up the plot again somehow and that Kyo'd actually taken my advice last night. Though it was hard not to grin with the scene of Tohru whacking him upside the head with her school bag playing in my head at the mention of it.
"You are so full of it!" Kyo seethes. "And you, next time you need someone to walk you home don't look at me," He adds to Tohru, pointing his chopsticks at her.
"That's okay," Tohru says with a smile. "Anyway I'd much rather see you here at the table like this more often," She continues as the cat goes back to his food. "I'm glad you're eating, how do you like the food?"
Kyo pauses, looking up at her with a curious expression then down to his bowl, though when he looks back up he catches Yuki's gaze and his posture immediately stiffens.
"What'da you want?" He growls to the silver haired boy.
"Nothing," Yuki sighs.
Oh here we go. Outwardly my expression doesn't change much as I bring my steaming cup of tea to my lips, though its hard to suppress an eye roll at the silly boys' antics.
"You were staring at me," Kyo counters, bristling further.
"No, just looking," Yuki monotones.
"Well I guess theres a first time for everything," Kyo growls, clicking his chopsticks at the rat.
"Do you like it?" Tohru asks again softly.
Kyo then turns sharply to Tohru, gripping his chopsticks tightly in his fist. "No I don't!" He shouts with misdirected rage that'd been meant for Yuki.
And there it is.
Almost instantly he realizes his mistake, turning still as a statue, chopsticks still gripped in his fist, held up in the air.
All is silent in the room before the chopsticks fall and clatter to the table from his lax fist.
Poor Tohru really did have the worst timing.
##
"Real smooth move there this morning Kyo," I say from my place walking next to the cat zodiac. "And after you did so well with that apology last night too," I add, pretending to sound disappointed.
"Aw shove it," He grumbles back.
I can't keep the humor out of my voice as I look up at him with a grin. "Oh you know I'm only teasing,"
"Besides I'm sure by now she knows you didn't mean it," I say a bit more seriously, figuring I'd teased him enough for the moment.
As we walk I adjust my grip on the handle of my school bag/ briefcase/ satchel... whatever it was, where It's held in both hands behind my back, in typical anime schoolgirl fashion.
I'd just turned my gaze back to Tohru and Yuki who walked ahead of us when my foot catches on something and gravity begins its work of dragging me into the pavement.
I've barely even let out a startled cry before I crumble to the ground, my knee scraping roughly against the gritty cement.
Damn that hurt like a motherfucker... Why again did I choose the uniform skirt that stopped above my knees?
I hear the footsteps ahead of us stop suddenly but then I find myself looking next to me for Kyo and finding him missing.
Then I look over my shoulder to find he's a bit farther behind me than he'd been just a moment ago.
Wait... Did he just...
"Did... did you move /farther/ away from me when I fell?" I ask incredulously. "Dude I thought we were friends," I say feigning hurt.
He looks somewhat guilty and I just barely register Tohru running up and asking if I was okay before he responds.
"Don't you remember the last coupla' times you tripped?"
"Riiiiight... point taken," I murmur sheepishly, accepting Yuki's offered hand which had appeared in my vision. "Thanks," I say, letting him help me to my feet.
"What does he mean last time?" Yuki asks once I'm on stable ground again, a hidden undertone of icy sharpness in his voice just as there always is whenever Kyo's involved in the conversation.
"Oh... well uh... the other day when we went with Shigure to register for classes I kind of..." I trail off embarrassed, my newly scuffed shoes suddenly becoming the most interesting things in the world.
"Kind of what?" Tohru asks innocently.
"Tripped into Kyo and made him transform," I finish in a slightly rushed mumble before adding, "Twice..."
Looking up I see even Yuki looks surprised at my statement, the only indication being that his eyes are a bit wider than normal.
"W-we were in the woods so nobody saw or anything," I add, looking back to my shoes as I feel a rush of heat bloom across my cheeks.
"Wow, thats got to be a record," Tohru murmurs to herself.
Oh great, even Tohru thinks so...
"Three times in hardly even two days," Yuki ponders quietly. "That is a lot,"
"Geez guys, way to make me feel better about the situation... I get it, I'm a clutz. That's nothing new," I huff, still averting eye contact. "Let's just get to class okay,"
I pick up my satchel and start walking again, letting them follow behind if they want.
So embarrassing...
Damn... My knee really stings now too.
Looking down I see a patch of red thats slowly inching down my leg in semi straight lines of scarlet.
Oh fuck oh God oh fuck oh God oh fuck oh God. Fuck!
Pushing back the oncoming queasy feeling from the sight of blood I pick up the pace despite the stinging.
At one point I think I hear Tohru calling out to me but by then I can already see the school building not too far away.
I call out a quick "I'll see you in class," before continuing on my way, anxious to get rid of the claret stains of color on my skin.
###
"Brielle?"
Looking up from where I sat at my desk I saw Tohru looking down at me with a somewhat worried expression. As usual Hana and Uo were just behind her.
"Oh, hey Tohru, sorry, I must've been spacing out just now," I admit with a sheepish smile.
"Are you alright?"
Am I alright? What is she talking about...?
The tips of my fingers then lightly brush over the coarse strips of fabric covering my left knee and I'm reminded of my fall this morning.
Oh, so thats what she's worrying over...
"Oh I'm fine, I was just bleeding a little from the fall," I say. "I just have a... problem... with blood, so I went to the nurses office," I admit with what I hope is a reassuring smile.
"Oh no! Why didn't you tell us?"
Uh oh, mom mode Tohru's back.
"Well it was nothing big, I just got a bit of tunnel vision after seeing the blood, the sight of even the smallest amount makes me nauseous is all, I didn't want to worry you guys over a simple little scrape anyway," I admit.
"Man, are you sure you two aren't long lost sisters or somethin'?" Uo asks, leaning over towards us with an arm slung over Tohru. "I swear, the more I'm around the two of you the more alike you seem,"
Tohru and I both glance over to the taller girl in surprise and before either of us can say anything Hana pipes in as well.
"Their electric signals are quite similar,"
Somehow hearing Hana's input makes it seem even more concrete, but still.
Theres no way I could ever be like Tohru. She's just so kind and selfless, she's such a genuine person, I feel lucky just to know her.
It's so easy for her to make people happy just by being herself, when she walks into a room it doesn't just brighten, it glows.
A lot of times, even before I found myself in this world, I wished I had the ability to make people as happy as Tohru could.
Its a nice thought, but we could never be the same.
"So, will you be joining us for lunch again today?" I'm drawn from my thoughts by the quiet voice of Hana.
Brushing my daydreaming aside I pick up the bento Tohru'd helped me make this morning and stand, giving the girl a small smile.
"Yeah, that sounds nice,"
#
Finally classes were over for the day, though we still had almost another hour to spend here. Technically the last hour was to be used as a kind of study hall or makeup period and then at the end the students would clean the classroom and go home.
Though for some reason most of them stuck around just to hang out and play games instead of going home or going to see a movie with friends like I would've done had we had something like this back home.
Though, it was kind of nice to have a free hour to hang out instead of going straight home to study or do homework.
"Hey, why don't we play Rich Man Poor Man?" Tohru asks, holding up a deck of cards with a bright smile on her face.
Hana Uo and I stood at her side, she was trying to convince Kyo to play with us, he sat at his desk looking very much like he did not want to be here right now.
"Aw play it with that damn Yuki, I don't wanna," Kyo mumbles.
"Running away from a challenge, what are you? Some kinda sissy?" Uo asks, staring down at him with an accosting gaze. It could just be my imagination but I could've sworn I felt an ominous aura surround the two.
"Fine! I'll play your stupid game!" Kyo shouts, jumping up from his seat. "Just don't cry when you lose yankee," He says with a smirk, getting right in her face.
The tension and competitive drive in the air was almost palpable and I wondered to myself if Hana and I weren't the only ones seeing sparks...
"How about this, the loser cleans the entire classroom by himself," Uo suggests.
I find myself sidestepping away just a bit as the bursts of electricity increased. I must be seeing things... Damn I really need some coffee right now...
"Ah, aren't those the most wonderful signals?" Hana comments, suddenly appearing next to the two, her hair literally standing on end.
Yup... Looooots of coffee...
"Let's ask Yuki if he wants to play too!" Tohru says innocently. "Yuki! Wanna play Rich Man Poor Ma... you're not here..." She trails off.
#
By now a bit of a crowd had gathered around our little game. I was still a bit unsure of some of the rules so Tohru and occasionally Hana were helping me as we played.
"Revolution," Kyo says after dropping some cards on top of the pile, leaning over the desk and sending a smug look toward Uo.
"You cheater, what kind of cheep ass tricks are you trying to pull?" Uo says, sending a glare Kyo's way.
Kyo is instantly on the definsive, pounding a fist on the table as he leans forward further. "What'dya mean tricks? Those are the rules!"
"Let's see, revolution makes all high cards low right?" Tohru asks, keeping her eyes on her own deck.
Hana looks over her shoulder from where she sits on her desk with a serious expression. "Wait, reverse revolution," She says, turning fully to face us, four cards in hand.
There is a moment of silence from both our group and the surrounding audience.
And then we're surrounded, its mostly our classmates teasing Kyo about how the round went.
"Now you've had it Kyo,"
"Go for it Hana!"
"You don't even know how to play this game," Someone teases.
"Beat by a girl,"
"Aw stick it! Come'on, let's play again," Kyo says, eager to redeem himself in the next round.
As the jeering and teasing continues I can't help but laugh a little myself for once finding myself at least a little bit comfortable even with so many people crowded around.
My laughter falters though when I feel a set of eyes glancing our way, looking up I somehow manage to meet Yuki's gaze through the crowd.
I just catch it for a second, that envious glare he's shooting Kyo's way, before his expression changes to one of surprise at being spotted. Not a moment later he turns and slips out of view past the door.
Now instead of laughter curving my lips into a smile, they tug downwards in a frown, my gaze locked onto where the boy with the amethyst eyes had just been standing.
"C'mon Ellie, we're starting a new round," Uo calls, bringing my attention back to the game.
I give a small chuckle at the nickname she'd given me before reaching over and picking up the cards I'd been dealt.
"Alright alright," I say with a grin, I then lean over to Tohru and whisper not so quietly to her, "Tohru, we should team up this round and take them all down,"
"Well, um, I don't know..." The girl starts timidly.
"Hey! There's no teaming up in this game!" Kyo shouts.
"There is now!" I argue back, sending a challenging grin his way.
"Says who?" He yells back, slamming a hand onto the desk.
"Say the future winners of this round, Red,"
"You can't do that, you didn't even know how to play this game until today!"
"Neither did you," I counter, having to bite the inside of my cheek to keep from laughing at his reactions.
It could be really fun messing with Kyo sometimes.
"Aw, whats wrong Kyo kyo? Afraid of losing to a pair of girls?" Uo mocks.
"What the hell gave you that idea yankee?!"
"Looks like we have a game then, Tohru and Ellie against me you and Hana," She says, "Got a problem with that orange top?"
"I'm just waiting on you to make your move punk,"
"Alright then, lets get started shall we?"
##
I glance over at the clock on the wall for the time, 3:40, we were the last ones left in the classroom, Tohru, Yuki, Kyo, and I. Everyone else had already gone home.
And while Tohru, Yuki, and I stood off to the side by the desks, Kyo was running back and forth across the floor with broom in hand.
Yes, just as in the anime he'd lost the bet with Uo.
Surprisingly enough though, Tohru and I had managed to win our round together, though that'd also meant more teasing thrown at Kyo. I can't say that winning didn't feel good though, I did always have just the tiniest bit of a competitive streak in me.
I come back to reality just when Tohru is telling Yuki that he should play with us next time we have a round of Rich Man Poor Man.
His answering smile though is a little cold, almost menacing, sending a shiver down my spine. I don't think Tohru noticed though.
"So, it looks like Kyo was the loser today,"
At that Kyo pauses in his cleaning an irritated growl slipping past gritted teeth.
"Yes, but I'll still help him clean up," Tohru says, turning her gaze to the aforementioned cat.
"No a loss is a loss," Kyo counters.
"You sure?" Tohru asks quietly.
"Don't worry about it, I'll win next time," He says, his grip on the broom handle tightening just a bit. "Just like I'll win against you!" He shouts, turning to face Yuki, pointing a finger right in his face.
"Wait, wait, I think I've heard this one before," Yuki says looking very unimpressed.
"No joke asshole I am going to beat you, thats a promise," Kyo says, determination flaring in his eyes.
"I wish you'd stop making your inferiority complex my problem," Yuki almost emotionlessly counters, riling up the cat some more.
"I swear every time you open your mouth it pisses me off," Kyo growls.
"And every time you open yours you sound like an idiot," Yuki states icily.
And on and on the insults flow as Tohru and I stand by and watch, unsure if there was even anything we could do.
Said brunette had already started spacing out next to me, I can just imagine the inner monologue going on in her head right now... Literally.
I've seen this scene play out enough times now to at least have a pretty accurate idea of her train of thought at them moment, somehow it almost felt wrong though to be so privy to what she was thinking most of the time.
Quickly I shake off the thought and refocus on the scene in front of us.
"I'm gonna break your pretty boy face," Kyo threatens, broom now hoisted over his shoulder while his other hand is raised in a fist.
"Um, you guys?" Tohru puts in, trying to get their attention.
"Thats it, lets go!" Kyo shouts, tossing the broom aside and throwing a fast punch at where Yuki's face had just been.
Wow... they're both so fast...
Only a few seconds later though and Kyo's on the ground. I'd barely even seen Yuki's kick, it was unbelievable...
And it must have hurt a lot coming in that fast... My heart goes out to Kyo.
He may've went picking a fight but that just seemed like overkill...
Again I get that strange shiver down my spine, feeling just the tiniest trickle of fear towards Yuki right now.
Remind me never to get on his bad side...
"Ugh, I can't even stand to look at you," The rat zodiac says bitterly as he turns to leave.
Tohru still stands in shock with a hand covering her mouth while I set my school bag on top of one of the desks and start rummaging around in it.
"Yuki," She murmurs as she turns to look at the door he'd left through.
"Damn it," Kyo curses, drawing the girls attention. "Why can't I ever kick him in the head for a change?"
"But he really did try to lay me out today, he must be in a bad mood or somethin'" He says with a sigh.
By now I'd found what I was looking for and thankfully it was still cold.
With a soft sigh I walk over to Kyo and kneel next to him.
"Here," I say, holding out a thin plastic ice pack for him to take.
He glances up to meet my gaze before looking down at the offered ice pack. "I don't need it,"
"Oh right, and I suppose next you're gonna tell me that what just happened was just him giving you a little tap on the head with his foot?" I counter, raising an eyebrow at him.
"I said it's fine," He grumbles.
"Alright then," I sigh, pretending to give up.
I see his shoulders visibly relax as he thinks he's safe but I take that moment when he's off his guard to place the cold pack on top of the spot he'd been holding just a few seconds ago.
I can't help but shake my head when I hear the low hiss of pain when it makes contact.
"Ah ha, just what I thought," I say to myself, putting a bit more pressure to the pack until he gives a small yelp and tries to swat my hand away.
"Alright alright, fine. It hurts okay, you happy?" He growls, taking the cold pack from me and holding it there himself.
"How could I be when you're hurt? What kind of sick person would that make me Kyo?" I ask.
"I have a hard time believing that," He mumbles under his breath.
"Just trying to prove a point," I say, resting my cheek in my hand. "Just don't try to hide it when you're hurting okay? It makes me worry," I say, flicking his ear before I stand and go to gather my things.
"Oh, Tohru you have work today don't you?" I ask as I'm repacking some things I'd taken out of my bag while searching for the ice pack.
"Yeah, that's right," She says, seeming to finally come back to reality.
"I'll walk there with you if you'd like," I offer.
"Oh, I don't wanna be any trouble," She says, waving her arms in front of her.
"Oh, no trouble at all," I say with a smile. "Kyo'll come too, right Kyo?" I add, grinning toward the cat.
After a few minutes putting desks back in their places we're on our way to drop Tohru off before heading home ourselves.
"Why did you have this anyway," Kyo suddenly asks of me, referring to the cold pack I'd magically made appear out of my bag.
"Lets just say I'm always prepared for just about anything," I say with a little grin to myself.
##
After dropping Tohru off and making it back home Kyo and I split up, I to go look for Shigure and Kyo was most likely headed for the roof.
After not much searching at all I find Shigure in his study.
"Ah Brielle, did you have a good day at school today?" He asks cheerily.
"Yeah, it was... eventful," I say with a small smile.
"Ah good, did you need something?" He asks.
"Actually, I wanted to ask if I could borrow your kitchen for a bit," I admit.
"I don't see why not, it hardly gets any use anyway seeing as anything Yuki or I try to make turns to ash," He says with a sheepish chuckle. "Help yourself,"
"Thanks Shigure,"
"What is it you plan on making anyway?" He asks curiously.
"It's a secret," I say with a grin before giving my thanks again and leaving for the kitchen.
#
I'm just putting the finishing touches on my creation when I hear soft footsteps walk by.
Looking up at the clock I notice its close to time for Tohru to be getting off work.
Brushing the powdered sugar off my hands I walk out into the living area, spotting Yuki just about to leave, as I'd expected.
"Yuki," I call, getting his attention.
He pauses with his hand on the door and turns to look at me with a curious expression.
"Yes Ms. Williams?"
I make my way towards him, grabbing an umbrella from the holder by the foyer on the way.
"Here, take this with you," I say, holding out the umbrella to him.
"An umbrella?" He questions. "They didn't say anything on the news today about rain," He ponders to himself.
"I know, but take it just in case okay?" I say, still holding it out to him.
"Alright, thank you Ms. Williams," He says, still looking a bit confused by my insistence but accepting the umbrella nonetheless.
Just as he closes the door I turn and see Kyo headed for the kitchen.
Crap!
Running over I place myself between him and the kitchen, arms held out preventing him from moving any farther. "You can't go in there,"
"What? Why not?" He asks, looking a bit irritated.
"Because...? Because I said so," I reply, not really having a better excuse ready.
"What kind of reason is that!" He questions.
"Just tell me what you want and I'll get it for you," I say, ignoring his question.
He seems to just give in to my weird behavior this time and just asks for croquettes.
"Is that all?" I ask.
"Yeah, thats it," He says, still seeming not to know what to make of my actions.
"Alright, just a second,"I say, turning to head back into the kitchen, pausing for a moment to address him again. "No peaking,"
"Alright geeze, I won't look okay?"
"Good," I say with a satisfied smile, reentering the kitchen.
I set the microwave to reheat some of the croquette that'd been in the fridge while I go back to finishing my decorating.
Just as I finish the chocolate writing on top the microwave goes off, letting me know the food is done.
I place the lid overtop of my creation and search for an empty, high up cabinet shelf to hide it on.
Once thats out of the way I take two plates from the pantry, placing a croquette on one for myself and leaving the rest for Kyo.
I'd made a little extra for him knowing tonight was leek night.
I walk out to find Kyo sitting at the dining table seeming deep in thought.
"The croquettes are ready," I say, breaking him from his daydreaming as I set his plate in front of him and the other across from it. "The kitchen is open again too," I add.
"Thanks," I hear him say, its only just loud enough for me to catch.
A small smile tugs at my lips, "You're welcome,"
I leave to retrieve two cups and a kettle filled with hot water, setting them down between the two plates before pulling a tea tin from my apron pocket and sitting down across from Kyo.
The first thing I do is brew my tea, taking a small sip while its still hot, nearly scalding my tongue.
"How's your head?" I ask before taking another sip.
"Fine," He mumbles, a small frown shaping his lips.
"Fine as in 'this hurst like a motherfucker?' or fine as in 'its a lot better now'?" I ask.
He looks a bit amused at my choice of words but gives me an answer before taking a bite of his croquette. "The second one,"
"Good," I reply, "and at least so far no signs of concussion," I add
At this he grumbles a bit under his breath and I can't help but laugh.
"Seriously though, all kidding aside I'm glad your feeling better," I say, giving him a small smile before taking another sip of my tea.
Damn this was one good cup of tea. Would I ever tire of this hot leaf juice? I think not.
"Thanks,"
I can tell he isn't just thanking me for my concern just now and it makes me smile just a bit brighter though its hidden behind the rim of my tea cup.
#
"Eat up everyone!" Tohru says cheerily.
The table was set and everyone was seated for dinner, the main course, a leek dish.
"Are you crazy? I hate leeks!" Kyo shouts, standing from his seat, poor Tohru didn't look like she knew what to do with Kyo shouting down on her like that.
From his place where he sat reading the paper Shigure put in, "And onions and miso, and, am I leaving anything out?"
"Hey, miso's okay as long as its soup," Kyo corrects.
"I'm sorry, I guess I didn't know. I can make something else for you if you want just tell me what you like," Tohru says, trying to come up with a solution.
Glancing over to Yuki I see he'd already taken up his chopsticks, giving them a quick twirl before grabbing Kyo by the nose and shoveling leeks into his mouth.
"Just eat," The silver haired teen says, eyes narrowed at the cat as he starts turning blue.
Okay then... I can almost envision the comedic anime sweat drops on the side Tohru and Shigure's heads, heck, I'm fairly sure I'd of had one too.
"Um, Yuki? Kyo's already passed out," Shigure points out after a moment.
Seeing as everyone else is off in their own world I give a quick thanks for the meal and try some myself.
It takes a lot of effort to keep from making a face at the taste.
Turns out Kyo's not the only one who's not so fond of leeks... Even Tohru's wonderful cooking couldn't save them.
I should have made more croquettes earlier...
Though not wanting to waste food I ate as much as I could stand of what was on my plate.
"Brielle? Are you alright? You're very quiet," Tohru asks.
Quickly I swallow the small glob of leek in my mouth and turn to face her, plastering a smile on my face.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just thinking," I reply before taking a few long sips of tea.
"Oh, alright then," She says with a smile.
That was close...
Soon enough everyones' done with their meal and Tohru starts gathering plates together.
Everyone's but Kyo's still with leftover leek on them...
"I can take the dishes," I say to Tohru.
"Oh really? Thank you," She smiles.
"No problem," I say, with a smile of my own. "Would someone mind waking Kyo? I have something to bring out for all of you," I add as I accept the dishes from the brunette.
"Oh sure," She replies.
"Would this have anything to do with that surprise you were talking about earlier Brielle?" Shigure asks with a knowing grin.
"It just might," I say, before disappearing into the kitchen.
I drop the dishes off by the sink before retrieving my surprise from the cabinet, carefully balancing the glass dish and cover as I reenter the dining area.
And what is it that I hear as I step into the room?
If you guessed bickering, arguing, or fighting, you would be correct!
I can't help but let out a sigh as I walk toward the table, snippets of an argument assaulting my ears.
"Maybe if you had any sense of manors-"
"What are you tryin' ta say sissy boy-"
"Maybe dicipline is exactly what you need-"
"I outta-"
There is a loud clang as I set the cake tray down onto the table with a bit more force than necessary, and then all is silent.
The first to break it is Tohru, just after I remove the lid and set it aside. "Wow, that looks amazing! Did you bake it Brielle?"
"Mhm, I started on it right after school, I didn't finish till just a bit before you got home," I say, allowing myself just a moment to feel proud of my handiwork.
Sat on the stand was a three layer cake frosted with light buttercream icing and embellished with strawberries and fluffy whipped icing piping, decorated on top with the words 'Thanks so much' in katakana, a little chocolate heart stuck into the edge of the cake reading in white lettering 'I'm so glad to have met you'. That last bit I'd been a little unsure about but it was the truth and so I'd went with it, even if it was a little sappy and embarrassing.
"This is for us?" Shigure asks, a bit surprised after reading the writing.
I feel my cheeks heat up a bit in embarassment but answer him nonetheless.
"Yeah, I mean I know its not much, but I wanted to thank you all somehow. I know I haven't known you all long but I'm still glad to know you, and honestly, I haven't been this happy in a long time, so, um... yeah, thanks," It ends up a quiet murmur in the end but I'm sure they've all heard me, though I can't find the nerve to look up and see their reactions.
Not a moment later theres a pair of arms around me and I don't have to take a guess to know who it is.
"Thats so nice!"Tohru says sounding teary. "I'm glad I met you too Brielle!"
I find myself getting a little teary too but fight it off, hugging the girl back with a smile. "Thanks Tohru,"
Finding myself finally able to look up at everyone once Tohru'd freed me from the hug I'm surprised to see Yuki with a small smile on his face, that same genuine one I'd seen my first day here.
Shigure too is smiling as he stands from the table, telling everyone he'll get the plates and utensils.
And finally I turn my gaze to Kyo, spotting a bit of a grin on his face as he watches Tohru and I as she babbles on to me.
"Even when you leave we have to keep in touch okay? Promise," She says with a bright smile.
My smile on the other hand is a bit more melancholy as I'm reminded that I won't always be here with these people who so easily can make me so happy, just by mere proximity to them.
"Of course Tohru, of course," I reply back softly.
For now I'll enjoy this for as long as it lasts...
