Sharon felt silly going around with a big smile on her face, but she couldn't help it. For the first time after what felt ages, she was relaxed and happy and undeniably in love. She really had enjoyed spending her free day with Andy and Tyler. It had been perfect, the only one missing was Rusty, but she really hoped they could repeat the experience with the young teenager. After they had laid on the beach for half an hour, they all went for a walk until they reached a snack bar where they had lunch. The weather was getting hotter and Tyler also was in need of a nap, so they had gone back to the car and drove to Sharon's place. Andy had stayed and watched a film while the toddler slept peacefully on his chest. When it had been nearly five o'clock, the two had left. Andy had said goodbye to her with a lingering kiss on the cheek. He said they were going to take things slow and apparently, he was committed to it. They still hadn't shared their first kiss, but to Sharon it didn't matter, she was already completely smitten.

Her daydreaming was interrupted by a knock on the door. "Come in" she called out.

Rusty walked in with Kris, the teenager girl he was studying with. "Hey Sharon"

"Hey, you're back from school" She had spent all morning in her office with paper work. Luckily, they hadn't been called on a case yet, but she knew it was only a matter of time.

"Yeah," the boy sighed. "We've got to work on a history project, so we'd better get to work. I just wanted to let you know I was here."

Sharon got up, needing to stretch her legs, and walked with them to the Murder Room. "Okay, I'm here if you need anything" she smiled at the two of them, then she heard the door of the murder room open and she soon recognized the toddler's incomprehensible rambling. She turned around to see Andy pushing a stroller with Tyler strapped inside it.

"Hi everyone" the Lieutenant said while waving. His eyes landed on Sharon. He smiled and winked at her.

The rest of the team soon got up and got closer to see the new arrivals.

Tyler was curious to see all the people and squirmed in his seat "Down" he exclaimed, waiting for his father to let him free.

"Oh my God, it speaks" Provenza grumbled from his chair.

"Yes, I'm coming, buddy" he rolled his eyes and after putting the brakes on the stroller, he kneeled in front of it to unfasten the straps. "Here you go" he lifted him and put him down on his feet "Free to explore."

Tyler rushed towards the Captain. "Saon!" he exclaimed happily.

"Hey there, sweetie" Sharon kneeled down and accepted the toddler's hug. She then lifted him up in her arms.

"How did you manage to already bring him to your side?" Provenza asked looking up from his crossword.

"I am that good" she smirked. "And I see that he is already wearing Uncle Provenza's gift" she teased him as she ran a hand over the LAPD t-shirt that Tyler was wearing.

He puffed "Better start putting him on the right direction at a young age"

"Oh no, my son is not going to be a cop. Not if I can help it, long hours and low pay. Who would want that?" Andy protested and the others laughed.

"He is so cute, Lieutenant" Kris said peeking at Tyler from behind Sharon's shoulder. "Congrats on being a parent again, Rusty told me about it."

Andy eyed the teenager. "Hey" Rusty defended himself "It's not like anything else interesting happens around here. You'll be happy to know she has already offered us to babysit"

"Oh yes" the girl exclaimed. "I have a younger sister and I know all about taking care of babies, so if you need someone, I'll be glad to do it"

"Thanks" Andy replied politely, not sure if he wanted to leave his son with two unsupervised teenagers, but if he wanted to go out on a date with Sharon in the future, just the two of them, that might be his only option. "I'm not only here for a social visit" he turned towards Sharon and waved some documents "Captain, I've got some papers to discuss with you."

She nodded, put Tyler back down and turned towards her office.

"I can leave him with you, right?" Andy asked the room. "I will find my son still alive and not corrupted by you people"

"Don't worry, Lieutenant" Sykes grinned. "We'll keep an eye on him"

"And Provenza" Sanchez added joking.

Andy and Sharon walked inside her office and closed the door. The blinds were already down, so they could talk in privacy.

"Hey" he smiled at her goofily while sitting down.

"Hey" she smiled back. "So, what can I do for you?"

"Oh, that's a loaded question" he teased and she rolled her eyes at him playfully.

"Ok, seriously. How did it go with the lawyer?"

He sighed. "It went well. She really didn't have anybody else, so she left everything to us. I get the apartment, which I've already seen and all her money she had saved go to a college fund for Tyler and other money he can access to when he is 18"

"That's good"

"Yeah, I mean" he shrugged "I would have paid for everything, money is not a problem, but now Tyler can go to whatever college he wants"

"And the apartment?"

"It's in a nice neighborhood, just a couple of blocks from where you live, actually. Everything is already paid for. Tyler has got his own room and well, the place is more modern than mine and bigger. I don't know. I might move there, it's just… it still feels like I'm invading someone else's privacy"

"I understand."

"I had only been at her apartment a couple of times when we were going out, but Tyler recognized his home. I could see the difference. I guess moving is the best option"

"If you need any help with your things…"

"I'm more worried about going through Claire's stuff. I wouldn't know where to start."

"I can do that." she offered.

"Sure?"

"Yeah, we can do it together one of these evenings"

"That would be great." He looked at her in thanks "I need to give you this." He passed her a copy of a document. "which states that I'm now in care of Tyler, so if anything should happen to me while he's a minor, he is entitled of my pension and all the benefits"

"Okay, I will put it in your file" She swallowed hard. She was going to make sure that nothing was going to happen to him. Tyler wasn't going to lose both his parents "Have you decided about paternity leave?"

"I'm taking this week off" he gave her another piece of paper. "Giving my request to my immediate superior and…"

"… and I will deal with Taylor" she finished for him.

"I still need to talk to day care." He sighed. "So many things still to do" he rubbed his forehead in exhaustion.

"Andy, you don't have to do everything in one day" she reached across her desk to pat his hand. "You've already done so much for one morning. Relax, take Tyler somewhere and spend more time with your son, because once you start working again…"

"I know, I know. I've called Nicole. I'm meeting her for coffee when she gets out of work. I'm hoping that bringing the squirt will mean no yelling."

"I'm sure she will understand after the initial shock."

"I'm just thinking about what my ex-wife will say when she finds out about it. Sandra will certainly have her enlightening opinions." He said sarcastically.

"Ignore her. Just concentrate on your kids and showing them that you can do this"

There was a small knock on the door and the door opened.

"Captain, we've got a body" Provenza informed her poking his head inside.

Out of habit, Andy got up and was making his way to follow the team and then he suddenly stopped, realizing what he was doing. "Wow, it's strange not being involved"

"Lucky you" Provenza replied sarcastically. "We're going out so you'd better get to that child of yours; he's being crawling all over the place."

"Do you need me at the crime scene?" Sharon asked.

"No, we can manage. I'll call you when we get there and know more" Provenza looked at Flynn. Since Tyler arrived in their lives, he hasn't seriously talked to his partner and he was worried that the sudden pressure and new responsibility were too much for him. Luckily, he seemed to be relying on Sharon, even though it made him slightly jealous. His friend used to confide in him, but now he has someone else to turn to.

"Hey, Provenza" Andy stopped before he could leave. "How about you come to my place later this evening? You can bring your own beer and I'll cook something"

Provenza raised his eyebrow in question "Meatloaf?"

Flynn smirked. "Yeah, I'll make the meatloaf"

"Okay" he nodded and left.

"Meatloaf?" Sharon frowned. "Aren't you a vegetarian?"

He smiled "It's with tofu, but Provenza still thinks it's the real thing, let's not shatter his illusion."

Sharon laughed and followed him outside to the murder room. Tyler was leaning against his stroller trying to reach his diaper bag. Andy Flynn scooped him and threw him over his shoulder, making him squeal.

"What are you looking for, buddy?" he brought him back down.

"Bibi" he pointed at the bag.

In the last day Tyler had become less shy and started talking more. Andy had picked up some of the words and want they meant. "Are you thirsty?" he put him back on the floor and went to get his baby bottle filled with water. "Here you are" he helped him drink from the nipple. Once he was finished, Andy packed everything up. "Okay, time to go. Let's get you enrolled at day care and we'll go and meet your sister."

He was about to pick him up to put him back in the stroller, when Tyler squirmed and moved away "No" he went to hide behind Sharon's legs.

Andy sighed in frustration and Sharon giggled. "He takes it from you, you know?"

"I know. All of my children were stubborn as toddlers. Come on Tyler, I promise I won't put you in the stroller if you want to walk, but we need to go. Say goodbye to Sharon"

The toddler looked up at the woman sadly with his deep brown eyes. "Bye-bye?"

She crouched down. "I'm afraid so" she kissed his head. "But I'll see you very soon, I promise" she took his hand and got back up so she could guide him to Andy. The man took his son's hand while brushing his fingers with Sharon's, and she blushed, just a small touch gave her shivers.

"I'll text you the new address then, tomorrow?"

"Sure, we'll see how long it will take us to close this case, but there shouldn't be any problems."

"Okay, then, bye" he nervously said goodbye to her and walked away, one hand pushing the stroller and the other one holding Tyler's hand.

Sharon watched father and son slowly leaving with a big smile on her face. She didn't notice the two young teenagers spying on them from behind the cubicle.

"Those two definitely have a thing for each other." Kris whispered smiling.

"Sharon and Lt. Flynn?" Rusty hissed back in disbelieve. "No way, Sharon is married and… she's Sharon!"

"I'm telling you." She said with a knowing look as she walked back to the table. "Let's go back to study."

But Rusty kept looking at Sharon with a worried expression.
