A/N: Hey guys! So things are going better now, I've made a lot of changes in my life, some that kinda suck and some that are really great. I am happy now though, happier than I was a few weeks ago. It's summer break now so I should be writing more often. It might not be every week like it was before but there will be more chapters up. I just want to say a huge Thank-you to all of you for being supportive of me and being understanding when I had to take a break. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. EPOV

"I don't wanna meet them," Sammy said angrily. I was taken back by the tone of her voice.

"I'm sorry Sammy but the court is going to make you meet them," I told her.

"No! I don't wanna met them, they didn't want me!" She screamed before throwing the blanket off of us, climbing off my lap and running into her room, the door soon slammed closed behind her. I sighed and leaned back in the chair and rubbed my hands over my face, that had gone a lot worse than I thought it would have. I was about to stand up and go talk to Sam when I heard the door to mine and Bella's room open, I saw Bella walk out and over to Sammy's room. She walked in and closed the door behind her. That was my sign to stay away, so I went back to work on the paperwork I had been doing.

It was a few hours later when Bella and Sam emerged from her bedroom. Sam came over to me and I picked her up. She wrapped her arms around my neck.

"I'm sorry I yelled at you Edward," She said into my neck. I started rubbing her back and looked at Bella, her eyes were watery but she had a large smile on her face.

"It's okay sweetie," I told her, she lenaed back and kissed my cheek so I leaned down and kissed her forehead. "I understand that you don't want to meet your parents honey, but we don't have a choice in the matter,".

"I know, Bella talked to me about it and I guess if we have to see them then I guess that's okay," Sam said. "Can I go watch tv now?". I nodded and lifted her off my lap, as soon as she was on the floor she took off towards the living room, Leo and Shoka on her heels. Bella walked over and I grabbed her hips, bring her to rest on my legs.

"How are you taking all this beautiful?" I asked, kissing the side of her head. She sighed and leaned down to rest her head on my shoulder.

"I know we've only had her for a short time, but I already feel like she part of the family, I'm not ready for her to leave yet," Bella whispered.

"We knew this was going to come about eventually love, I care about her just as much as you do, but if the court says her biological parents are safe to go with, she will have to go with them," I said sadly. Bella nodded against my shoulder before getting up and going into the living room with Sammy. I shook my head and went back to doing the paper work.

-THE NEXT DAY-

BPOV

"Alright Sammy, are you ready to meet your parents," Sue Clearwater asked when we arrived at the police station. The drive over here had been quiet, no one knowing what to say, and when we arrived and directed to where Sue was waiting, Sammy had become very nervous and refused to leave Edward's arms.

"I guess," Sam said into Edward's shoulder. Sue smiled at us and told her to follow her. She lead us into a room where a young woman and man were waiting. I was shocked to find that the woman couldn't be any older than 22.

"Madison, Conner, I think I have someone here you want to meet," Sue said walking into the room in front of me and Edward. When the woman, who's name I now knew was Maddison, saw Sam in Edward's arms a sob broke out. Sam stared at her, unsure of what she should do. She looked to me and I could tell the question in her eyes, should I go to them? I nodded at her silent question and she requested that Edward put her down. Once she was on her feet she slowly walked over to Madison, who had now kneeled down to Sam's height, when she was close enough Maddison reached out and pulled Sam to her in a hug. Sam looked scared for a minute before she gently returned the hug. Conner also got down on his knees and hugged the two girls.

"I think we should give them a minute," I said to Edward. He nodded and we turned to walk out of the room.

"Where are you going?" Sam asked when she saw us walking out the door.

"Take a few minutes to talk to them alone Sammy, we'll be right outside okay," I said to her. She seem a little hesitant. "I promise we'll come back in if it becomes to much for you honey,". She seemed okay with that so when she nodded her head slowly we finished walking out of the room, closing the door behind us.

"I hope we didn't just throw her to the lions," Edward said as we walked over to the waiting room. I just nodded and sat down on one of the bench, Edward sat down beside me and I lied my head down on his shoulder while we waited.

SPOV

"Maddy, why don't we let Sammy sit in the chair so we can talk," The man, who I guess was my dad, said. The woman, my mom, had been hugging me since we had walked into the room almost 15 minutes ago. I had hugged her back at first but now I was getting kinda weirded out.

"Oh! oh of course, come come, sit, let's talk," Maddie said, letting go of me, she still had tears running down her face but a giant smile on her face.

"Can Bella and Edward come back in?" I asked the room. Maddy and Connor both nodded so Mrs. Sue went out to the waiting room to get them. When they came back into the room we all sat around the table that was in the room.

"So what should we start with?" Mrs. Sue asked when we were all settled.

"Well I think what I feel is most important is we tell Samantha that she was most definitely wanted," Maddie said looking at me. "Samantha, you weren't actually kidnapped from us personally, my parents, your grandparents, had signed you away when you were born,".

"What does that mean?" I asked Mrs. Sue.

"Well when a child is born, sometimes if the parents feel that they are unable to take care of that child they sign away their rights and the child is sent to a place where people who have the same job as me will find them a new mommy and daddy," Mrs. Sue said. "And sometimes when something goes wrong with the mommy during birth and both the mommy and daddy are not adults, than their parents can sign the baby away,".

"So my grandparents signed me away, what happen to you?" I asked Maddie.

"Well when you were born you were born very early and because you like to move around so much you got your umbilical cord wrap around your neck. I had to have an emergency c-section in order to safely remove you, but I lost a lot more blood than what the doctors thought I would lose and I went unconscious, and while the doctors were working on me Conner wasn't allowed to be in the room, he had been too busy worrying about me that he was unaware that my parents had signed away our rights to you, by time we found out it had been four days after I gave birth to you and because the hospital was told you had no parents at the hospital they took you to a different one, we didn't know where you went, but we search every hospital, but we were all told that no one had you, we searched for so long but we had to eventually give up. A year after you were born I had been cleaning out my father's office when I found the papers for the adoption agency you were given to, I thought that this was it, that I was going to find my baby, but when I called asking if you were there, I was told that you had been kidnapped from their center almost a month before hand, it was then that me and Conner filed for a missing person,"Maddie said. "Samantha trust me when I say that we searched for years looking for you, but there were so many dead ends,".

The room went quiet after that for a few moments, not knowing what to say. Finally Mrs. Sue spoke up.

"So I guess we should discuss what happens now," She said. The adults nodded. "So we have scheduled a court date for two months from today, this gives us time to do our investigation to make sure that Maddy and Conner are able to take care of Sam and if the court deems them fit then Samantha you will be transferred back to the hands of Conner and Maddie. In the mean time you will stay with Bella and Edward. Now Bella and Edward, we have scheduled a therapist appointment for Sam, just to allow her to get some help while she's going through all this, the appointment is for Monday at 9," Mrs. Sue said.

"Alright, if that's all that's needed then I think it's time to go," Bella said.

"Actually Bella, Conner and I were hoping to ask you something," Maddy said. Bella nodded. "Well we were hoping that while all of this is going on for the next few months that maybe you'd be willing to get together so we can get to know Samantha a little more,".

"I think that that's up to Sam," Edward said looking at me. I looked at him and Bella and then back to Conner and Maddie.

"I guess that would be okay," I said. Maddy sighed and smiled at me, relieved that I had said yes.

"So I'll give you my card and we can plan something, maybe we can meet later next week," Bella said grabbing one of her cards from her purse.

The adults all shook hands and Maddie hugged me one last time before Bella, Edward and I all walked out to the car and then started driving home.
