To Colonel Robert Hogan,

I'm glad that Newkirk is getting better. Your little snow job sounds interesting - and that's an American expression, too, isn't it? Fun. Sometimes Peter sends me the most interesting expressions he's learned. The best are the French ones, I think, if only because he's can never figure entirely what they mean and always writes them with smashed-together English words. My favorite so far has got to be "Coot-air-less-you-day-la-tet". I've no idea what it means. I tried it once on a friend from work who speaks French and she said that either one of them had some serious issues or he couldn't pronounce French words for jack.

Take care,

Mavis N
