Chapter 7:

"Squad Battle part1"

"I will commence the strategy.", Akashi stepped up, full of dignity which all of them could detect. "First of all, I would want ten volunteers to step up here. They will be our front and our center of attack and move to the southeast in search of enemy base. I need ten who are skilled and riled up to confront the enemy."

Kise, Aomine, Murasakibara and Midorima raised their hands without any hesitation.

" We need six more. I will warn you that this will be a dangerous job and we need those who aren't afraid and ready to fight these strongest combat in Teikou.", Akashi firmly stated, like a commander was. Even Tanaka was impressed by the way he talked.

" I want to do it.", Kagami stepped up and raised his hand. Two pairs of red eyes met each other in silent. " Then I'm joining too!", Maguchi who had been looking at Kagami since he raised his hand, raised his hand highly and smiled at Kagami.

" Me too.", Hans and Reino raised their hands.

" Me too.", two voices could be heard following by two hands shot up to the sky. Maragi Kita, a 26 years old man with black-long hair that was combed backward, stepped up. The other man was Gran, a nineteen years lean boy who had curly dark hair.

" Alright, it's decided. The ten of you will move in pair and your targets are the enemy's flag. You are free to fight the enemies you encounter and if you were in danger, sound your horn. We'll send off reinforcement.", the ten people chosen nodded in understand.

" You can start deciding your team and moved to the southeast."

" Kagami, we're in a team yeah?", Maguchi approached Kagami liked he had planned it since the start. " O-Oh, okay." The others had also decided their partner and moved into the forest through the different routes.

Akashi looked back at the remaining 35 persons, with him 36. " Now I need 3 volunteers." Three men slowly stepped up. " The three of you, together with me and Tetsuya will be the one to protect our leader.", Tanaka was slightly stuttered when he was mentioned.

" Our first priority is protect our leader, everything goes second. Clear?", the three of them also Kuroko nodded.

" Now for the rest of you, you must be prepared to reinforce our forward squads also prepare to confront the enemy here.", most of them nodded.

" So we're doing nothing until they come for us?", one of them asked the question that Akashi had expected.

" Of course no.", Akashi smirked. "While we're waiting, we will prepare some welcoming for them. " All of them looked at their strategist in confusion.

'H-He really isn't ordinary. No wonder the King give them the title 'Generation of Miracles'.', Tanaka thought silently.

" I don't know much about them, but I heard that they are exceptionally good, until people call them prodigy. Even the King acknowledge their talents and decided to give the six of them a title of 'Generation of Miracles' and put down the range required for soldier test this year just for them.", Maguchi looked up from his opened lunchbox to his partner who had been eating his lunchbox on a tree's large root.

" Are you listening, Kagami?", Maguchi frowned in disapproval. Just now, the kid was the one who asked him what was Generation of Miracles meant for and decided suddenly by himself to take a stop here in between trees and to have their lunches before continuing forward.

'Are you sure it's okay for us to have our lunch here? I mean are we free enough to do so?', Maguchi had asked before and the kid simply answered, ' It won't take long. Why would they give us a lunchbox if we don't eat it?'

Maguchi was going to tell him that their captain might want each of us decide whether to take it or not. It has its own risk by the way. If we eat it and our enemy attack us while we're doing so? But if we don't eat it, then there's a possibility that we won't hold up 'till evening.

' Well I don't know but since he had said so, he must has some confidence in it. I don't think he didn't think about the things I just thought on.', Maguchi took one more spoon and ate it.

"Uhm? Y-Yeah.", Kagami put his just-emptied lunchbox down . 'H-He's fast.', Maguchi was surprised and quicken his eating pace too.

Kagami pressed the empty lunchbox until it was flat and put it back inside the small bag he was given. He took his sword in his hand and hopped down from his seat, " So the six of them are that amazing.", his eyes sparkled with admiration, remembering those six faces in his mind. " I don't know they are that amazing.", he grinned excitedly.

Maguchi finished his last spoon and put the lunchbox back inside his bag like what Kagami did, but he just directly put it back. " Yeah, it's just a rumor that I heard. But in the test also the spar before, I could see how strong they really are and I'm certain that that aren't their full power yet."

" You can also see just now how Akashi-sama talked. Even if he is youngest in age here but he spoke like a leader!", Maguchi was awed suddenly when he thought about it again. He hopped down from the other trees he had been sitting on and looked at Kagami who grinned at his words.

" Yeah, he speak like an adult just now. He really is amazing, that Akashi.", they continued their walk without saying anything anymore.

Not too far from them, they saw a steep stone-hill and they climbed onto it slowly.

"Kagami, are you sure we must go through this?", Maguchi asked while his hand trying to grab another stone above.

" I don't know. I'm just following my instincts.", Kagami answered from above. Maguchi looked up at Kagami thoughtfully, 'He said that without hesitation. Does he ever think that his instinct might be wrong?'

Kagami finally arrived on the top, but he didn't have time to relax and immediately jumped to his right to dodge an attack. The wooden sword hit the empty ground and some little stones fell down because of the impact.

" W-What? K-Kagami? ", Maguchi shouted in worry from below. He couldn't see what happened at the top.

" Hmm, not bad kid.", the young boy who had just attacked Kagami smirked at him. Kagami glared at his attacker and attacked him without waiting anymore.

PAK PAK TAK PAK

Maguchi could hear a clashing sound between swords and tried to hurry up. Meanwhile Kagami kept attacking his enemy from the front, his enemy held every attack of his but slowly stepping back.

" Don't underestimate a soldier, kid.", the boy raised his sword high and slashed it diagonally right. Kagami ducked down to dodge it and hit the boy's left leg hardly. The boy silently hissed in pain but didn't step down, he raised his sword and attacked Kagami again.

Maguchi finally reached the top, 'Well~ I never climbed before so don't blame me. But more important…', he looked up and saw a boy swung his sword at Kagami but Kagami dodged it from his ducking position and moved to the boy's right side and hit his arm hardly.

Maguchi could see that it was hurt from the boy's expression but the boy didn't let out any voice. He didn't even have time to make his next move because Kagami hit him in the stomach until he bended down and hit him right at his back, making him fell to the ground unconscious.

Maguchi blinked his eyes slowly, all of that happened in just a mere few seconds. He could feel something squirred inside his stomach just now.

" Ah, Hiroma.", Kagami glanced at him shortly then back at the unconscious boy. " He suddenly attacked me.", he simply said.

" I can see that.", Maguchi climbed up from his position and stood up. " You just beat down one of them."

" Hmm. He's strong, no wonder he is from the strongest squad.", Kagami took the boy's wooden sword and tucked it on his bag.

'Yeah but you still can beat him down.', Maguchi grumbled in his mind. "Why are you tugging it in your bag?"

" Just in case he wake up. It'll be bad if he continue forward.", Kagami looked around and started to walk in the forest, of course followed by Maguchi behind.

" Hehh~ You are not bad at this kind of thing heh, Kagami?", Maguchi kept his gaze on the smaller boy's back. At first, he thought Kagami was an easy minded kid but actually he was a thoughtful one. He saw the boy rubbed his neck in nervous and murmured, "N-Not really." 'And also a shy one.', Maguchi added in his mind.

Kagami then looked up to the sky and turned to take the route to the right, following the path. Actually Maguchi have more things he wanted to ask to Kagami, the more he stayed with him he became more and more curious about this kid in front of him.

" Ohoho, look at what we got here.", both Kagami and Maguchi stopped and saw four boys stepped out from the trees. Maguchi immediately ran to Kagami's side and grabbed his own sword tightly.

"I'm so lucky. I've been wishing to face you, kid.", Atobe Sasaki smirked and leaned his wooden sword on his shoulder.

"Kid?", Kagami looked up at Maguchi. " Uh? Not me, they're talking about you, Kagami.", Maguchi whispered slowly, Kagami answered him with a 'Oh.'

" Hey, you aren't seriously thinking that they were talking about me, right?", Kagami smiled nervously and Maguchi sighed. " What? I'm nineteen, not a kid anymore okay?"

" Hmm… Such a kid, fighting over that silly thing.", Atobe chuckled. The other three smirked, "Well, one of them is a kid though.", one of them stated and they laughed more.

Kagami glared at them and raised his wooden sword to the front, " Hiroma, I'll take down those two who spoke just now. You took the other two okay?"

" Hmm, alright then. ", Maguchi readied his stance too. " Kagami, you have called me my small name twice.", he added without moving his gaze from the enemies in front.

" Uh? Really?", Kagami looked up at the taller man surprised. " I'm sorry, I'm kind of bad at remembering names. Hiroma is just easy to remember for me."

" Hah? So you called me Hiroma because it's easier to remember? I thought you do it because you regard me as a friend.", Maguchi murmured the last part really slowly.

Kagami was still looking up at him and it indirectly angered Atobe, he dashed forward in attempt to give Kagami a surprised attack.

CLANG

" Don't talk leisurely in front of me, kid.", Atobe pushed Kagami back, farther from Maguchi.

Maguchi shared a glance back at Kagami, then focused back on his own opponents. Meanwhile, Atobe pushed away Kagami's sword, Kagami stumbled a bit and planned to counterattack but then he felt someone's presence behind and managed to raise his sword backward to block another wooden sword.

He pushed away the wooden sword and immediately jumped away, to make a distance between him and his two opponents. Atobe leaned his sword on his shoulder confidently, " Just now you said you will take both of us, right? Or are you afraid right now?"

Kagami gritted his teeth and bended his body down a bit then dashed forward. He aimed right for Atobe's surprised face, Atobe managed to block it clumsily but he was caught off guard by Kagami's power and stumbled backward. Kagami didn't wait anymore and attacked Atobe's companion in a very fast pace.

The second man was only defending from Kagami's continuous attack, hadn't found any chance to make a counter. Atobe joined the fight and it became a two versus one fight. Kagami just focused on attacking the second man and only dodging and defending attacks directed from Atobe.

'Shit! I can't find any chances to attack him, even we're two versus one!', the second one grumbled in his mind as he blocked another attack from the red-haired boy. While the second man was defending from the younger boy, Atobe felt anger filled up his mind as his another attack was dodged without a glance from the red-haired boy.

" KUSOOO!", Atobe used more force in this attack and directed it right down at Kagami's head. Once again, Kagami dodge it to the side without even glancing at him. Atobe growled and immediately swing his sword following Kagami's direction.

Kagami was surprised and immediately dodged down and jumped away, right for Atobe's sword to hit another man's arm hardly. " Ack! What are you doing, Atobe?!", the man held his left arm tightly.

" Y-Yuuga. I-I'm sorry.", Atobe was guilty at first and instantly glared at Kagami. " KUSOO, YOU KID!", he dashed forward with his sword backward.

Kagami bent down a bit and waited until Atobe was close and when the man moved his sword upward, Kagami made his move. Atobe was caught off guard when he saw Kagami gone away from his vision and the next moment he felt a hard impact from his stomach.

He looked down and saw the red-haired kid was there with his wooden sword's hilt right on his stomach. 'F-Fast… And damn it- it's h- hurt…', Atobe coughed out an empty air and kneeled down. He held his stomach and bended down until his head touched the ground.

' D-Damn it, I-I can't lose to a kid. I'm much older than him, I'm already in this army longer than him.', Atobe weakly turned his head to where Kagami and Yuuga were and saw that Yuuga already lied on the ground with his wooden sword parted in half beside him 'N-No way…'

Kagami looked down on the unconscious man in front of him in silent worry. He didn't use too much force in attacking any of them. Kagami looked back at Atobe who was still bending on the ground, 'W-Well. I did indeed hit him a little too hard but he's still conscious though.'

" A-Are you okay?", Kagami approached the still conscious Atobe.

" W-Who are you exactly?", Atobe managed the question out from his mouth. If this kid in front of him was the rumoured Generation of Miracles that even the King acknowledge them, then he could accept the fact that he was strong. But this kid wasn't, he was only a simple another kid that joined at the same time as the six Kiseki.

" Hah? Did you say something?", Kagami squatted down just in time when Atobe fell unconscious. " Ah, h-hey.", Kagami shook the limp body twice and got no answer. Kagami slowly raised his finger below the man's nose and sighed in relief when he felt air blowing out from it. " I thought I really hit him too hard."

He had been trying to aim for the spot on their back, to knock them unconscious without leaving any harm to their body. But he was clouded by his emotion and ended up hurting the other man. 'I really need to train more', Kagami turned and took Atobe's wooden sword and tugged it in his bag too. Two wooden swords now showed up from inside his small bag.

He turned to Maguchi who was still fighting, he seemed to be managing well with the situation two on one. The three of them were equally matched and exhausted. Kagami shifted the wooden sword in his hand and was ready to butt in and help his companion before the sound of bushes got into his ear.

Kagami stiffen and looked to the forest and his eyes widen. Seven persons came out from there, seven which Kagami certain were all his enemies. 'This is bad.' Kagami hurriedly ran to Maguchi and was in time to block an attack to Maguchi that came from the third unexpected person.

" K-Kagami.", Maguchi didn't expect that attack coming from behind and also did Kagami's assist to him.

" Wohhh, nice one.", the third person, who wanted to attack Maguchi, smirked.

Kagami immediately pushed Maguchi back with him away from his opponents, his crimson eyes never leaving their enemies.

The seven persons stepped out and walked to the two unconscious bodies. " Hey, Atobe is unconscious and Yuuga too.", one of them checked on the bodies. " Hm?", his attention turned to the broken wooden sword and raised it up. " Woah, it actually split into two."

" Who done this?", another man with a calm expression asked firmly and all eyes were looking at Kagami and Maguchi while Maguchi glanced at Kagami, completely aware of who done that.

'Seven over there.', Kagami glanced at the group who just came out and back to the trio in front of him. 'And three over here. This is bad.'

' I would like to try to take them all together, but I couldn't forget about Hiroma. And…', Kagami wondered his gaze around all the enemies there. 'They don't have the flags, so we don't need to fight them. '

" N-No way, Atobe and Yuuga lost to him?!", the two that had been fighting Maguchi before looked at the red-haired boy in front of them unbelieveably.

" Ohh, so it's you?", the third man there looked at Kagami and rubbed his chin slowly. " Well, even if you're this short but you managed to block my attack just now." He lowered his hand and raised his left one which holding his sword and pointed it at Kagami. " Fight me, kid!"

" Haahhh~?! It's not fair, Shoma !", the one who checked the bodies before ,pointed his sword at the one he called Shoma. " Just now you already took down that curly hair and long-haired one!"

Both Kagami and Maguchi flinched on their place, they knew exactly who were they talking about. Are they taking the two of them together? But from what he said, this man Shoma was the one who take care of their two comrades.

" I don't care. This kid interested me. You can take the other one, Luka.", the man named Shoma never let his eyes off from Kagami. " Hey, kid. Fight me!"

" I'll be gladly to.", Kagami's answer made Shoma's smirk wider but "But not this time. Let's go, Hiroma.", Kagami took Maguchi's hand and immediately ran into the forest.

" Hey!", the two men that were with Atobe before shouted loudly.

" Nope, it's okay.", Shoma raised his right hand, his eyes never leaving to where Kagami had run off to. " I've already declared my challenge and he has accepted it, I won't let him run away.", Shoma departed off to chase after his target.

" Shoma~!", Luka shouted so childishly. " I won't let him take the fun alone!"

" What are you highing up about, Luka? You want to fight Kiseki no Sedai, right? That kid isn't one of them. He is just the seventh kid that coincidentally joined this year army too.", the calm man just now looked at Luka coldly.

" W-Well, b-but…"

" Well, fine at you. From the start, we don't use any strategy. We're free to decide what we want to do here. Our only target is to win. ", the man stated calmly . " But since they are new, they must be using some sort of strategy and leaving many peoples to protect the flag, so the real fun will be at their base. "

He turned around, followed by the others. Luka looked at where Shoma just ran off to and back to where the others were walking to. He let out a frustrated shout and followed the group, the two left immediately took care of his two companions.

Meanwhile Kagami had since long released Maguchi's hand but both of them were still running in the forest. " Why did we run, Kagami?", Maguchi asked Kagami loudly.

" Hahh?! They are ten and we are only two, Hiroma!", Kagami shouted from the front.

" What?! So you ran because we're outnumbered? Just when I thought you were cool.", Maguchi mumbled the last sentence to himself.

" If I were alone, then I wouldn't run from them.", Kagami answered in a lowlier voice but it managed to get into Maguchi's hearing. Maguchi almost slowed down his pace when he heard that, 'So you are telling me you would take on the ten of them if I wasn't there? So he didn't run away from them, he is thinking about my safety.'

Maguchi clenched his fists, " Hey, Kagami! I've been wanting to ask you this question!", Maguchi equated his position with Kagami's.

" What is it?", Kagami asked louder.

" Why aren't you panic at all?", Kagami looked up at the taller boy in confusion. "I've been watching you ever since Captain Hyuuga announced this squad battle. You look ready for that. When someone attacked you on the top of the hill, also those two men that you have beaten and the group just now! You looked really determined when you were facing them. How could you do that?! Even I who have been readying myself for today is a little anxious to face them."

Kagami blinked, " I…", he looked back to the front. " Of course I'm anxious about this. They are the strongest combat squad.", the crimson eyes glinted. " But that's why it makes me excited."

" Excited?", Maguchi repeated confusedly. He was expecting a more gallant answer not such a simple answer.

Kagami nodded and grinned, "Yeahh. The stronger they are, the more excited I will be."

Kagami's answer made Maguchi speechless, he was thinking of saying something back but his ears caught the sounds of sword clashing, " Kagami, did you hear it?", both of them nodded and changed their route to where the sound came from.

They could hear the sounds clearer as they ran and then they were out from the forest, to where the fighting was taking place in a large green field. Kagami's crimson eyes first landed on a navy blue locks and blonde one, after that to nine enemies there and two who laid on the ground.

" Kagami, look! That's Tanaguchi-san and Reino!", Kagami moved his gaze to where Maguchi was pointing. Hans was leaning against one of the tree holding his bleeding left arm while Reino used his ripped shirt to bandage Hans's wound in attempt to prevent more bloods flowing down.

" Hans!", Kagami shouted and ran to where his two comrades were, indirectly attracting the attentions of those who were there. Maguchi looked back and forth at Kagami and where the fighting was taking place, he nervously smiled and chased after his partner.

" What happened to your arm?", Kagami asked directly after he arrived at their place, looking over the red-tainted bandage.

Hans glared at Kagami but said nothing, it was Reino who explained what happened to them. It was such a misfortune for him because when they were exploring around, Reino suddenly fell into a trap that had been set there. He ended up injured his right leg and after that, Hans needed to lend him a shoulder and they continued because Reino didn't want to step down.

Not long after that, they encountered two enemies. Reino managed to hold down his pain and took down one of them, the other one was taken down by Hans. Then when they arrived at where they were now, they encountered three of them.

" Because of my injury, I lost from one of them. Tanaguchi was taking the three of them, and…", Reino looked at the red-tainted bandage. 'If only I didn't fall into that silly trap, we wouldn't lose to them.'

" But how come Aomine-sama and Kise-sama here? And you said there are three of them, right? But there's more than three right there!", Maguchi glanced back at where the fight continuing.

"They heard the sound of sword clashing and ran here, those eight appeared later after their arrival.", Reino followed Maguchi's gaze and looked at two young kid that had come to aid them. 'I can't believe they could fight with the nine of them in the same time.'

" How about your injury?", Kagami's question earned Reino's attention and the boy looked down on his leg. " Ah, I think I must wait until this battle finished."

" Alright then.", Kagami turned to where the sound of the sword clashing could be heard. " Hiroma, take care of them."

" Uh? Kagami?", Maguchi asked surprisedly.

Kagami walked to where the battle was, the fight suddenly stopped and all the nine opponents also Kise and Aomine turned to look at him. " Kagamicchi…", Kise mumbled slowly.

" Huuuhh~? You look so young. Can it be you are one of the Generation of Miracles?", one of them asked arrogantly. " You're wrong, Shun. He is the rumored seventh kid. He isn't one of the Generation of Miracles.", his other companion answered it for him. They continued to talk by themselves.

SLASH

Kagami slashed his wooden sword to his side, making an audible 'slash' sound which stopped his enemies' little discussion. " Why don't you try me on if you want to know?", Kagami smirked.

" Oi, Kagami! This is our fight, just stay at the side and watch or find your own targets!", Aomine remarked calmly.

" He's right, kid.", Kagami widen his eyes at the familiar voice and immediately turned in time to block an attack. " Your opponent is me.", Kagami wasn't that ready for the force and ended up being sent flying three steps behind.

Kagami looked up at his attacker " Uh? You are the one just now, right?", Kagami asked in pure confusion. " You chase after me?"

The tall dark-brown haired man nodded and swing his hands repeatedly, " I won't let you run away after agreeing to my challenge.", he glanced at both Aomine and Kise who became cautious under the man's gaze. " After I finished with him, you will be the next."

Both Aomine and Kise were alerted by the words, they could feel the difference between that man and the nine they were fighting with.

Shoma flashed a last smirk before turning back to the one he proclaimed as 'target', " Tell me your name, kid."

" Kagami Taiga.", Kagami kept his stance ready, his eyes firmly looking at his opponent.

The man looked amused, " Taiga, hm?", Kagami didn't like the way he said that, he knew the man was making fun of his name. " I am Kanade Shoma, as you know I'm from Squad 11. But I'm different from those you've seen just now. Isn't it, my comrades?", Shoma turned to his nine comrades and smiled.

"Tch, don't be too proud on yourself Shoma! You just being promoted two months ago.", one of them grumbled.

' Promoted? ', Kagami, Aomine and Kise thought in the same time. " Can it be…"

" Heh?", Shoma looked back at Kagami and his smiled widen. " Yes. I'm not just a regular in Squad 11. I'm one of the knights there."

Every freshmen from Squad 12 present there was surprised, " So it means in between your team, there's a knight in it?", Aomine asked in surprise.

" No. Not only one. There are total three knights in this team, along with 47 soldiers. ", Shoma looked back at the surprised Kagami. "You have met the other one before, little Taiga."

Kagami raised one of his split eyebrows and Shoma continued, "Remember when you ran off just now?", Kagami tensed upon the mention, so he just unknowingly facing two knights at that time?

" From the group of seven, the one who asked you 'Who done this?' ", Shoma tried to recall the conversation correctly. Kagami didn't remember it entirely since he didn't focus on their faces at all at that time. But it did seem like someone said that to him, even though he couldn't remember what kind of guy this knight was.

" And the last one…", Shoma smirked widely.

-Somewhere in the forest-

A young man in his twenty was sitting on a huge stone with one of his right foot bent up and his right hand on his foot as he leaned his head on his right palm. The sound of river flowing accompanied him from the side, as he looked through the forest in front of him.

His pointed dark eyes looked bored to the front, the wind blew up some of his short light-brown hair. He wore a white shirt and a knee-length black pants like what all soldiers had, a black fabric tied onto his upper left arm and a medium-sized flag tied in front of his chest.

He simply sat there, as he hoped for the impossible enemy to appear but at the

same time, he hoped someone did appear because…

" I'm bored…", the man proclaimed lifelessly.

TSSH TSSH

" Hm?", the man boredly glanced to his left and he was met with a green-hair boy that was quite tall despite his young appearance and a purple-haired boy who was exceptionally tall, taller than the boy beside him.

" Shintarou-chin, he had the flag~", the purple one stated simply, his violet eyes staring at the flag on the man's chest.

The green-haired boy pushed up his black-framed glasses in a elegant move, " Hm, you aren't wrong Atsushi. He is our target."

The man straighten himself and smiled amusedly, " Finally someone come, even though I didn't expect it at all. Seems like the freshmen this time weren't that bad. The route to the forest isn't that easy to walk, you know?"

" Put aside all the talk. Let us settle this already.", Midorima readied his stance calmly.

The man smiled and ignored Midorima's words, " You look young, can it be you are the rumored Generation of Miracles? The youngest generation ever to join the army in age of twelve, the six prodigy."

Murasakibara dashed forward, followed by Midorima behind. The man sighed, " Don't the noble teach their kids about politeness?", the man grabbed his sword that he put beside him and hopped down from the stone. " Then I, as the senpai, will teach you two about it.", his dark eyes glinted dangerously.

Shoma chuckled after he told them the last knight on his side was none other their leader, the one who held their signature flag. " Even though you are a bunch of freshmen but Captain Imayoshi don't want to lose this battle you know, so he blended some knights in the team, well even though Riko-san was the one who requested him to prepare a strong enough team."

Aomine and Kise looked at each other and nodded, they planned to charge to this knight when suddenly Kagami halted their way, " I give your word back to you, Aomine. This is my battle, just focus on your own battle.", Kagami smirked when he saw a flash of anger on the tanned boy's face.

" Don't joke around, Kagami. He is a knight, you can't handle him alone.", Aomine said in a real serious tone.

" That's right, Kagamicchi. Let me and Daiki-cchi take care of him, you can take the nine of them if you want.", Kise said in the same serious tone even though his honey brown eyes glinted in worry.

" No, I'm real serious.", Kagami replied with the same serious tone before he grinned and raised his wooden sword, " I'm having the advantages though because we're using wooden sword now." If it was a real sword, he wouldn't know what the outcome would be. Don't need to talk about the knight, he didn't even sure he could beat down those he had beaten before if it was a battle using a real sword.

" You're free to take my place if I lose to him.", Kagami turned back at Shoma who was waiting for his discussion to end already. " But that's if I lose.", after saying that, Kagami dashed forward to the now smiling Shoma.

" Have been waiting for long, little Taiga.", Shoma proclaimed and raised his own sword.

The sound of sword clashing could be heard, Kise was looking at them in silent worry. " Daikicchi, what should we do?"

Aomine looked at them intensely, "Let him be, he had said it himself. We're just going to take after him if he lost, that's all. Besides…", Aomine darted his dark-blue eyes to the remaining nine opponents there. " We still have our own fight."

Kise nodded, " Let's stop playing around, Daikicchi. I want to watch closely how Kagamicchi fight.", Aomine nodded and the two of them ran forward.
