Getting to KNOW You

That very next morning they had to suffer going to a Yonko's ship to negotiate. It didn't matter if things on her half would get tricky, both of us knew a lot of contacts on the inside of Big Mom's favorite candy and food factories that could blow it up while we "conveniently" have the last of those brands. Of course she knew this so didn't push her luck because if we were to go to war she wouldn't be able satisfy her hunger. So she complied with all of our newest "adjustments" to our contracts. If we could feel fear than maybe we wouldn't be as cocky and confident as others said we were.

Later that day when we returned to our island we separated. Cero went to socialize with the natives. I on the other hand left to get work done I didn't socialize unless it was absolutely necessary and even then barely. It was just in my nature to stay shut in and work until I was scheduled to something else for example; eating, sleeping, and meetings. That was all that mattered at the moment so when I got an unexpected visitor I wasn't particularly interested in a breach of my personal schedule.

My intruder was none other than my newly found obsession, Trafalgar Law. Of course being an intelligent woman I knew he was not here on for a personal visit. Most likely he would want either information on my meeting or some knowledge about the New World that he does not know…yet. I know he's a resourceful person so he won't rely on just me to gather information. Still I looked up at him with my expressionless face quite curious as to why he was interrupting my work and not come at a time for eating.

"Trafalgar to what do I owe this unexpected and unwanted visit?" I ask immediately. To that he merely smirks and readily replies.

"Miss Zero I am here for a simple conversation nothing more and nothing less." All this without even a hint as to what he really wants. He's a bit of a conniving bastard, but I expect no less from one such as him. Just another person who's ambitions over rules his life. If Luffy were a bit more of an intellectual he would probably be just like Law and I.

"If that is all then Trafalgar you won't mind waiting until lunch time." My tone left no room for an argument of any kind. Since he knows I won't budge he just shrugs and sit's in a chair in front of me.

"Why are you sitting here?" This person doesn't cease to intrigue me. I ponder on whether or not Cero feels this way as well when it comes to thinking about Eustace Kidd.

"You said to wait for lunch so I'm merely waiting for it." He says it so cockily that I'm quite annoyed, but truly not that surprised at his reasoning. So accepting his reason I nod and go back to my work. Later on I'm finishing the paperwork for the next three months doing it all in silence without even a nod to the man in front of me. Then Cero comes to converse with me before lunch.

"Zero it seems you've finished ALL our paperwork for the next three months. Have you been over working yourself or do we have a project coming up?"

"Nothing of the sort, I was merely trying to get ahead of our work. Slacking is inacceptable. So that's why we have to meet up with our 'colleagues'."

"Ugh. I hate meeting all those Pirate King wannabees who have no talent for anything except following orders. Our orders anyways, only we can make a difference to people who dream big but can't achieve."

"Don't be so down, we have better things to do then ponder the usefulness of others. I'm saying we should try connecting with some others from our 'home' to help manipulate the situation to our advantage."

"Good idea. Now let's have lunch. Trafalgar come and join you must want something if you've been waiting here awhile." With that we all leave to the dining room to partake in a scrumptious meal or so our chef says. We take his word for it anyways it's not like we can actually taste it anyways.

Whilst we eat Trafalgar asks us questions that we don't hesitate to answer. This is most likely due to them all being mediocre. Once the questions get a bit more complicated and personal we have to ponder for a moment as to what our answer will be. Never do we give him too much information, but we're not too vague either. He's not at all disappointed when it is time to leave in the end of the meal though it seems I learned a lot about Trafalgar. With the information I have gathered over this afternoon it would seem that I do not, have not, and will not worry about getting to know him in the future. It would seem as though they can be good friends in the future. As good a friendship two ambitious intellectuals can have anyways to be friends. Erring away from the topic at hand I continue my conversation with Cero until it is time to go. Life is getting more complicated with each passing day.

Now that I know more about my obsession I can pay attention to more important things. I can't afford to be dawdling with something as unimportant as this when Cero and I have a dream to fulfill. Until it is accomplished I cannot wander off my designated path or die. Both of us want to make this horrible existence bearable by doing something worthwhile. That is why this is our top priority; we cannot simply just put off the thing that matters most to us. So even if we start to feel a certain way for someone we can't risk feeling or we'll lose that which we hold most dear, our dream.
