Hiccup

Hiccup felt a moment of dread pass him when his father's letter finally arrived in the mailbox, he had written to him two weeks ago when he and Astrid first started taking care of Annbjorg but a lot has changed.

He is friends with a criminal and a wanted thief, Daggur and Alivn are after him, and Astrid has become a constant in his life, he can not go a day without her.

Astrid, Toothless, Camicazi, Ruffnut,Stormfly were meeting him at his house to discuss the plan tonight so he had to make sure everything was perfect he asked Gobber for some money, went to the store and bought a few refreshments,snacks and made sure the house was properly cleaned.

Toothless was already at the house he was on the couch watching Hiccup scramble around the house trying to clean it, he tilted his head with mild interest and said, "What is going on, I thought the others were coming"?

Hiccup looked at him and said, "Sorry Toothless they will not be coming until Tomorrow a lot of them had stuff to do so the meeting was rescheduled for tomorrow".

Toothless gasped and said, "Really, why did you ask me to come over here, then if it is tomorrow this was a complete waste of time." Toothless complained as he crossed his arms over his chest.

Hiccup sighed and said, "You said you wanted to be the entertainer Toothless that means that you have to be here before the others do, you have to think of activities for us to do together."

Hiccup glanced at Toothless relaxing on the couch and then looked at the mess around the living room and kitchen, because his father is always leaving for business trips, and meetings and Hiccup had school the house is always in a out of control mess Hiccup wanted to help clean the house with his dad but Stoick is always so business that he can not spend time with Hiccup.

Hiccup stood in front of Toothless and said, "Oh no do not drop everything and help me, just sit there its totally fine, No, really I insist, make yourself at home."

Toothless crossed his arms over his chest and said, "If you think I'm going to clean up after your mess you are mistaken especially with those laying around". he said as he pointed at the giant pair shoes in the center of the floor.

Hiccup picked up a pair of his dad's shoes that he left laying around the living room while plugging his nose knowing how foul the smell was from trying to wash the odour out but no amount of spray,air freshener or soap could get the disgusting smell out.

Hiccup threw the shoes in the broom closet under the stairs and quickly shut the door trying not to throw up his breakfast, he covered his hands over his mouth and then went to the bathroom.

Toothless looked at the the broom closet and then thought about the shoes he was glad that he volunteered to be the entertainer of the mini party and not housekeeping.

Hiccup came out of the bathroom and then threw himself down on the couch face first, he rolled over on his back and groaned as he rubbed his shoulders and then sat up and said, "What am I going to do Toothless, the house isn't ready yet and they are coming over tomorrow ".

Toothless looked at Hiccup and said, "Let me do the rest you are tired, I felt bad just watching you thankfully you got rid of all the gross stuff first because our senses are stronger than yours".

Hiccup rolled his eyes and said, "Oh great now you want to help, its not like I needed your help three hours ago or anything!"

Everything hurt. Hiccup ached in places he did not even know he had, he needed a nice warm bath and a good night sleep but he knew that in his situation he could not afford to sleep. With two gang leaders calling for head he needed to stay awake.

Toothless snapped his fingers towards the bathroom upstairs and said, "Go take a shower you stink, go on I can't reveal my big surprise with you in the room".

Hiccup smiled and said, "Okay, I'm going Bud this surprise of yours better be good".

Toothless (The Night Fury)

I waited until Hiccup reached the last step and acrossed the hall towards the bathroom upstairs,once he was out of earshot I immediately grabbed the broom and dustpan and began to clean it did not take me long. I used to be one of Freya's helpers in her castle during the warmer months when I needed extra money to pay for clothes, food and electricity.

As I cleaned the room, I kept thinking about Freya she was like the mother figure in my life, was she the best mother in the world? No. Did she have flaws? Yes, but everyone does. At first, I got the job because I ended but, then I got it to make sure to check on Stormfly when we were younger.

Stormfly and I were always seen together when we were younger ever since she spotted me at my mansion where I threw that party that fateful night, mostly to see if anyone would be willing to help me because although I had a home. I was still a child and needed proper guidance.

That is where I learned the art of Trust. Trust was very important if you can not trust others how would you be able make ties with people? How would you be expected to be dependant on someone's help without knowing if you could take their hand if they reached out theirs?

These complicated questions that we ask everyday prevent us from moving forward I should know. I had felt the same way when Freya and Thora brought me back to the Nadder mansion for the first time.

"Hey where are you taking me !" Einar cried out as he thrashed around trying to get out of Freya's muscular arms. She just stared blankly at the him like he was a bug. A pest that was in the way of her livelihood and shelter.

" How did you get on this island, the queen has thousands of scouts patrolling the area"? She asked as she looked at Einar with amazement and a small amount of respect for the young dragon tribe warrior.

Einar smirked and said, "It was easy I went under the island using an underwater cave and went to the surface using a sewer".

The Nadler queen nodded with approval and inspected Einar from head to toe her eyes focused in on his eyes. They were the color of the late queen of the Night fury clan. Delilah Daniels Fury. She was not Norse, she came from roman decent everyone did not know what to think when she arrived in the island with the engagement ring on her finger.

The dragons and vikings might not like each other all that much after all the war between the vikings and dragons have been going on for thousands of years. The romans were a common enemy of vikings and dragons alike they made the vikings look like dragons were welcomed houseguests.

There have been rumors that vikings were no longer around and that now berk was just a small island with common people not warriors. That there was a lot of advancements in medicine, and weapons.

The dragon tribe live off the grid and were left untouched to time, they still skin animals for fur and use the old blacksmith materials to make their weapons. But, Freya was not sure how much of it was true.

Freya sniffled the boy and and pulled him back a bit he smelled like dirt, sweat, blood and sewer water. So, it was true he did go under the island.

" So, you really are Einar Fury then the lost prince that went missing four years ago during that attack that wiped out your clan". Freya said dropping her tough girl act and looked at the boy sadly she was hostile because she too had lost her husband and family to that attack.

Einar nodded slowly he bowed and said, "I will do whatever it takes to earn the right to live in Nadder village m'am. As you can see I have no other place to go, no home to go to. I did my best to rebuild the Night fury mansion here in hopes in marrying one of your Nadder woman to repopulate the clan".

Freya smirked and said, "Repopulate do you even know what you are implying boy"? Freya did like the boy, she just wanted to see how smart he was he seemed sly and clever but that does not mean he was intelligent it just mean he could find his way around tough situations.

Einar turned red and said, "Y-yes but I do not plan on doing that step until I'm older I have read books about them and I know not to take action quite yet".

"Very well, I will put my trust in you to come to the Nadder clan mansion every morning to clean the house and make sure nothing is out of place, I will also make you the bodyguard of my daughter Thora". Freya said

Einar frowned and thought, "From prince to butler, Oh well at least I got a job now, and maybe just maybe it will not be so bad.".. he thought as he looked over at Thora who blushed and turned away when he looked at her wit his big round green eyes.

" Prove to me that I can trust you and when you are ready, I will set up a marriage for you and my daughter Thora when she becomes of age". Freya said with a soft smile as she playfully shoved him in front of Thora making them almost kiss if she did not grab his shirt in the last minute.

"Do you accept Einar"? Thora asked in a hopeful tone of voice with a smile on her looked at her in awe there was something about her that he could not resist. He would not mind being a husband to a wonderful girl who he had no doubt will become a natural beauty.

Einar nodded and said, "I promise I will protect you with my life ".

Freya nodded and said, "Kneel down please Master Fury". she took out a sword, Eniar got down on his knees and bowed.

"I now make thee sir Einar Night Fury, Knight of the Nadder army and princess Thora's personal bodyguard". She said as swayed the sword over both of his shoulders. She then gestured for him to raise, by raising her hand up and then pulled Eniar in a warm embrace.

Eniar looked at her with shock at first but then hugged the Nadder queen she smiled and said, "I hope if anything happens to me, you will always be there for my daughter Einar". she kissed him on the cheek and then pulled back.

Freya nodded and said, "You will go to Monstrous Nightmare Grove where Hookfang will train you to wield a sword and defend yourself against enemy forces good luck".

Eniar nodded and said, "I will not fail you your majesty I promise".

"I'm sorry Freya I promised I would always be there for Thora but then, I got in the fight with Tex. Then, I lost my memory then the shipwreck that sweeped me to berk for six years with no memory of who I was".

I said sadly as I thought about my knighthood a couple years ago. I did not deserve Stormfly I had abandon my duty, I failed to protect her. Now, Thora is a master at knife throwing and sword fighting.

"She does not need her black knight to save her from the tower, she has found her own strength she does not need me anymore. " I thought sadly as much as I wanted to protect her forever I knew I could not, she was born into the Nadder clan the most fierce tribe of warrior women.

I decided now was not the best time to think about the past and focused on the present I started to get the real work, I cleaned the windows, vacuumed the floor and polished the floor. When I'm done Hiccup will be able to recognize his house.

"The plan is working perfectly". I said with pride as I looked around the house with approval four years of cleaning the Nadder mansion were coming back to me, so all that knowledge and experience helped clean the Haddock house within a hour.

Now to Call Astrid.

Astrid

Astrid just came home from the doctor's office with a smile on her face knowing that the cast will come off next week,Her doctor was mute and used pictures to speak for her, her name was Gothi and she had a long list of clients to see so she could not stay long. Since Berk was a small island somewhat untouched by time, they also means that the number of doctors are limited.

It was hard to believe that it has been two weeks since the start of their project and a lot of things happened. The biggest change was Hiccup.

Hiccup's friendship with the odd teenager known as Toothless has gave him a new sense of confidence,understanding and acceptance that anyone else had for him on Berk.

Just like her friendship with Ruffnut and Camicazi had changed her. Astrid and her mother were forced out of their home and her father died in the war years ago to help America fight off terrorists from coming towards Berk.

Even though the diner was doing well, Astrid's mom still did not make enough money to pay off all the bills so they were forced to move in with Ruffnut and Tuffnut family. The twin's father was a friend of Astrid's mother so they were able to stay there.

Astrid, has been juggling two to three jobs with her high school career and has been saving money up for a affordable studio apartment. After years, and years of saving up money since she was ten, Astrid finally has enough money to get her and her mother a apartment.

Astrid knew that because Stormfly was back they had to make room for her,and the Twins did not have enough room in their house for another roommate so, Astrid was also looking for a place for Toothless and Stormfly to make sure they could live separately from her and Hiccup so they could concentrate on their project.

Astrid,Ruffnut, Camicazi and Stormfly were at the bank, Astrid had just been told that she had enough money to buy six apartments because of a savings bond that her father left just before he died in case he did not make it back home. It was close to seven hundred thousand dollars. Astrid's eyes nearly popped outside of her head when she found out she was now rich.

Not super rich like a movie star, but rich. Astrid nearly jumped up in the air with excitement she could finally have her own room, who knows she could get a apartment for her and and Hiccup to share so they could be together without their parents breathing down their necks.

Suddenly Astrid's face turned redder than a hot pepper when she realized what she just thought about. Her and Hiccup sharing an apartment? What was she thinking Hiccup was her friend! They weren't even Dating.

Sure, she had a crush on him since she was little, but she had to face reality Hiccup was a rich heir to a company empire and she was just a plain,ordinary villager that just found out that she had a little bit more money than she used to.

She knew the large amount of money will not last long soon she will spend all the money and become dirt poor again.

"Oh yeah, if he is your friend why did you make out with him at the diner the other day".The voice her a voice in her head said back the voice was the side of her that she hid from everyone.

Her sensitive side, her more girly glamorous side, the side of her that liked making funny sarcastic jokes. The side that liked Hiccup and did not mind crying or showing weakness.

In the past it was easy to ignore the voice, she would be able to push it back and continue her day as she always did with her head held high and her eyes set and focused. But, ever since the project started she found it harder to block out her feelings for Hiccup and her own desires she wanted since she was a small child.

Suddenly Astrid's cellphone rang Astrid pulled out her pocket and then put up to her ear. Strange usually people do not call her this early in the morning. "Hello, Astrid Hofferson who is this"?

" Hi Astrid is me Toothless, listen I want you to come over".

Astrid rolled her eyes .Speaking of the odd best friend.

" Really Toothless I can't. I'm at the bank trying to get a loan so that my mother and I can get apartment and so that maybe you and Thora could get one too".

Toothless gasped with shock Astrid could almost imagine how red Toothless's face must be right now. Astrid giggled and said, "Oh yeah that is right you have a crush on Storm don't you why don't you ask her on a date"?

Toothless blushed and said, "Are you serious we can't get an apartment together she is a girl and I'm well a boy" He finished lamely at the other end of the phone. Astrid smirked and nodded as she stood in the line.

He realized that was a lame excuse, but he just could not imagine sharing a living space with Stormfly now. It was okay when they were younger but, now her body is more... developed. Toothless blushed again thinking about the curves of her body and her big full lips.

It might be tempting do certain things with her. it would be so awkward, "Besides I need you to do me a favor first, and then I might consider asking Thora out who knows we might do a double date".

Astrid gasped and said, "That is great, who will you and Thora be going with on your date"?

Astrid did not remember Stormfly and Toothless saying anything about other friends on Berk. She wondered about their history together it was pretty obvious Stormfly felt the same way when they hung out she would talk about Toothless all the time.

Going on and on about how much of a great guy he was and how dedicated and protective he can be and how save he made her feel. It was touching to hear how much they cared for each other.

" With you and Hiccup if today is a success, are you interested in what I have to say now"? Toothless teased

Astrid blushed and said, "Why is everyone trying to get Hiccup and I together I mean he is just a friend of mine". Astrid stuttered out she was not sure if she was being convincing in her argument, but she was not sure she was ready to have a boyfriend just yet.

" Sure". he said with disbelief making Astrid's face become more red she struggled to find a come back to Toothless's short but simple reply. Truthfully Astrid was not sure what Hiccup was to her yet.

Astrid rolled her eyes and nonchalantly as she crossed her arms over her chest and said, Okay I will try to make it".

Toothless sighed with relief and said, "Thank you Astrid".

Stormfly ( Thora Brave)

Stormfly had heard that Toothless was staying at the Haddock mansion and had decided to leave Astrid at the bank because the line was long and she was tired of standing. She went up the hill to the old fashioned viking like home and knocked on the door.

Stormfly heard a few crashing sounds, and the sound of rushing down stairs before the door finally opened with Hiccup standing by the door with no shirt and baby barf green shorts with black converse. Hiccup was wet and was drying his head with a towel.

Stormfly looked at him " I'm sorry to bother you Hiccup but I was wondering where Einar is I want to hang out with him and catch up on how he has been". she asked awkwardly hoping that she was not blushing at the thought of hanging out with Einar.

" Eniar."?..Hiccup thought with confusion it took him a while to realize what she meant for a second, and then gasped with realization of what she meant.

Hiccup still had to get used to the idea that Toothless was just a nickname and that his best friend's real name was Einar. Hiccup was just so used to calling him Toothless that the idea of somebody calling him something else made him confused.

" Oh you mean Toothless, you just missed him, he is was here a few minutes ago I think he might be upstairs ...Hiccup and Stormfly stood there with in awkward silence for a while before Hiccup spoke again,

"So, uh do - do you want to come in"? Hiccup asked leaning awkwardly against the door frame.

" Oh and do not worry I do not normally walk around the house with a no shirt on I was surprised by the door knocking and I wanted to see who was at the door". Hiccup said sarcastically trying to lighten the mood after dealing with the awkward situation and stepped aside for Stormfly to come in.

Stormfly laughed enjoying the teenagers Sarcastic humor and said, "Sure I could drop in for a while, I will sit on the couch and wait for you to come and get him".

Hiccup smiles and said," Sure sounds like a plan, I will be back so do not go anywhere I will be back before you know it".

Hiccup

Hiccup rushed to his room and pulled out his journal making sure to write down all his theories and ideas, he had not updated his journal since the start of the project and now he has to make sure to document every thought that comes to his head in case he loses his memory or he wants to look back on his high school days with his children.

Hiccup blushed at the thought of children, he really did not know who would be willing to settle down with him if he had to choose, he would pick Astrid without hesitation but he knows she probably would not want to be with him.

Hiccup's journal entry # 3

Wow, sorry I havent wrote in while but things have , Awkward and just plain embarrassing for me. First, off Astrid and I have grown closer together we even kissed for a few times! I mean I have imagined kissing Astrid since I was small..well, smaller. It was Great! Better than I could have ever imagined.

But, I could not help but think, that something does not feel right, sure I got a best friend now, and he seems nice. Not at all like Berk tries to paint him out to be. He was not a dangerous criminal he was just a starving teenager with no money. Its incredible how many crazy theories pop into people's heads when they can not understand something.

When people are afraid, or do not understand something they lose all sense of reason. Believe me when I say, that a person is only as good as their weakest link. And, I hesitate to say this, Berk has to be that link.

So many stubborn people come out of Berk, a lot of them cannot read and think that thinking and ideas are pointless. Which is why they do not like me because I value creative ideas, patterns and thoughts.

With so many dangerous people around its hard to know who you can truly trust. I like Toothless but lately I have been having a bad feeling in my gut, when I look at him my insides turn inside out and my brain scrambles trying to find out the cause but I think I might have figured it out.

I did not know what to think about Stormfly she is very pretty for sure, and intelligent but what is she to Toothless? I had a feeling that they were a item before he lost his memory but even that seems far fetched if they were dating he would have told me right?

Toothless says he was sent to berk for a reason but he can't seem to remember what that was. Freya had told him to run towards the ship just before she died.

Could Toothless be the spy for that evil queen he was talking about and he just does not remember? He says that he wasn't. I do not want to dwell on the past. But, I wish I knew more about him. I want to believe he is telling the truth, but I need to ask someone he knew on Dragon island to confirm his story.

I want to ask Stormfly about his past, but I just met her two days ago, I do not think she would want to talk about Toothless especially about the past. She seemed distant and closed when people even mention the island, let alone Toothless.

I just hope I find the answers soon.

I managed to find an apartment complex not to far from Hiccup's house and school. That way I could visit any time I want without worrying about getting home. My mother and I are moving into the apartment in a few weeks they need to renovate it to make sure that the foundation is good, and nothing is out of place.

It was around 1,000 and I managed to save some of the money I have for something extra, I could not wait to show Hiccup what I got. I cradled the small bundle in my hands and rushed to Hiccup's house making sure that I did not lose it.

I have always wanted a pet, but the thing that stopped me was that the twins were destructive and loved to mess around with everything and everyone it is a bit of a pain. But, if I were honest I would say I would not change the twins much, I just wish that Tuffnut was more intelligent.

" Quiet down Sneaky" I said with a hushed voice trying to sooth the pet down but he could not stop whimpering, by the time I made it to Hiccup's house it was sunset, and the sky was a brilliant shade of orange. I stopped by the front door admiring the view for a bit before knocking on the door.

Sneaky was a husky mix, with big round blue eyes and soft white grey fur, she was trying to sneak out of the tiny little box. I was trying to find stuff for the apartment when sneaky came up to me, I was not planning on adopting her but life works out in strange ways.

Sneaky had managed to find a way out of the shelter she was from, and ran as fast as she could down the streets until she bumped into me. Then she froze and tilted her head whimpering, and barking towards me. It was almost like she wanted me to take her away the life she had.

The puppy peaked its head out of the box, and sniffed around the air, when the door opened she leapt out of the box and attacked Hiccup with kisses Hiccup started laughing and moving around wildly trying to get her off of him.

" Sneaky no what are you doing! Astrid said trying to pull her off of Hiccup but she ran off to the side and continued to lick Hiccup's face. Hiccup managed to grab her before she could run off.

Hiccup smiled lifted her up and said, "Hello, aren't you a cute little girl"? Sneaky barked with excitement accidentally peeing on Hiccup's shirt. Hiccup 's smile fell and he pulled her away from him and sighed, "Really that is how you pay someone a compliment"?

Astrid blushed and said, "Sorry, I just got her so I did not have a chance to train her yet".

Hiccup looked at her as if noticing her for the first time and said, "Astrid, What a nice surprise, how are you doing, what are you doing here"?

Astrid smiled and said, "I just felt like stopping by".

Hiccup and Astrid looked at each other for a while before, they looked away nervously Hiccup was scratching the back of his head and Astrid was petting Sneaky.

"So, uh Astrid I was wondering if you were doing anything on Friday or Saturday"? Hiccup asked nervously as he looked at her. Suddenly he realized that, he had just had asked her on a date, he did not mean to the words just flew out of his mouth before he could stop it.

Astrid blushed and looked at Hiccup and said, "Did-did you just ask me out Hiccup"?

Astrid tried to resist the urge to kiss him, and squeal with delight she has been waiting for this for so long that it almost feels more like a dream. But, she knew it was real, because her heart was beating fast and her hands were getting sweaty.

Hiccup blushed and said," I guess I did, I can't control what I say around you Astrid, You are just so beautiful, smart and talented I would understand if you were not interested, I just thought, that I you know give it a try.".

Hiccup wanted to kiss her, protect her, love her. But, she was not his. No matter how much he wanted her to be there was no way a girl like her would date a guy him.

Astrid cleared her throat and said, " I don't know I have to check my schedule".

Hiccup frowned he knew that old excuse, if they have to check their schedule that means they would never be interested in dating him ever. Hiccup figured Astrid liked him with the amount of times they kissed. But, He was wrong. She did not like him. She never will.

Hiccup forced an awkward smile on his face, and said, "Is there anything you wanted, because I need to help Toothless clean the house for our meeting about Daggur and Alivn tomorrow".

Astrid blushed and said, "Hiccup I thought about it, and I guess I will go on that date with you on Friday".

She said nervously then she gave him a dark look as grabbed him by the shirt and then said, "You better be on time, or else I will not ever date you again got that"! she said sternly

Hiccup leaned in and kissed her lightly on the lips and said, "Do not worry milady I will be there on time". said seriously and then looked at her nervously and said, "I hope, if I don't then I guess I will never get a chance to prove how much you mean to me will I"? he said with sorrow the thought of never being with Astrid hurt, he loved her so much, he just hoped she liked him too.

Astrid blushed and then said, "Nope this is the only chance you get Hiccup so you better not screw this up Hiccup".

Hiccup looked at her and said, "I won't you just have to trust me, do you trust me Astrid"? he asked as he moved the bang away from her face for a few seconds so could place a kiss down her forehead.

Astrid grabbed him by the shirt and then kissed him on the lips, he deepened the kiss and ran his fingers through her hair while she ran her hands down his small,thin chest. She pulled away and said, "With my life, I like you Hiccup, and I want to be with you, because we are in this together".

Hiccup smiled and wrapped his arms around Astrid's waist and then said, "Astrid, you have no idea how long I have waited for you to say something like that, I do not want to lose you, I have failed at many things, but I swear to you Astrid I will be the best boyfriend I can be".

Astrid and Hiccup both blushed when he said Boyfriend, Astrid could not believe this way happening to her, the boy she had secretly liked for so many years had confessed to her.

" Astrid you are amazing". Hiccup said spellbound by her beauty as she shimmered in the sunset, her golden hair and bright blue eyes, forcing him to say his thoughts out loud.

"Hiccup do you want to go on a walk with me, I want to spend some time with you alone, no one else, I have some exciting news to tell you". Astrid said as she took his hand in hers and used her free hand to hold Sneaky because she did not get a leash for her yet.

Hiccup smiled and said, "Yeah, sure I would love that, lets go".

So, Hiccup and Astrid walked towards the park and spent most of the night talking and resting their heads together on a park bench looking at the stars, and playing with Sneaky. Hiccup was having such a great time, he forgot about the letter his father sent explaining he would be coming home the next morning.
