So I realised that I posted the same chapter twice... I honestly, really don't know how that happened! I am totally bemused! But no fret! Here is the correct chapter! So I apologise, profoundly, for the really long wait! I really don't understand how this happened! But please, enjoy the chapter!

Chapter 5

Destiny watched her father step back into the TARDIS slowly.

"Dad?" She asked softly, tears swimming in her eyes. She may not have been too keen on this version of her father when they had first met, but she had grown to love him. She didn't want too loose him so soon.

The Doctor didn't say anything as he took his trench coat off and swung it over the beam.

"Everything okay?" She asked. She silently cursed herself; of course he wasn't! He was dying! She watched him carefully.

He stepped around the TARDIS slowly and started it up. Destiny's watch dinged to let her know they were travelling, but she ignored it. She grabbed hold of the bar to stop herself from falling over. The Doctor continued to walk around the console until he had done an almost full circle. He was facing his daughter. He opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out.

"Dad?" She asked again, letting go of the bar. He looked down to his hand. It was glowing bright and golden.

"It's started Des," He mumbled, trying to sound brave for the young girl, but she could see right through his act.

"It's been there for a while," Destiny told him. "And you know it too – you're just putting it off," She knew he was just trying to reassure her. Destiny's quickly wiped her eyes, but they were quickly filled with more tears. They didn't fall.

"But I can't put it off any longer," He gulped, the tears evident in his voice, even if they weren't falling down his face.

"It's going to be okay," Destiny said as confidently as she could.

"It's going to be a big one," He informed her.

"How big?"

"Massive," He sighed in pain. "I need…" He curled in on himself as pain rocketed through him.

"Dad?" She asked worriedly, taking a step towards him.

"Don't come any closer!" He called out, holding his arm out. His hands still glowing.

"Dad?" She cried. She couldn't stop the tears.

"I need you to take cover!" He said as he raised his head to look at her. Destiny shook her head.

"No," She whispered desperately.

"Destiny! This is no time to argue with me!" He said, trying not to sound angry.

"Okay," She cried. She moved closer to her father only to be stopped again.

"Go Destiny; before it's too late!"

"I love you dad!" She promised, unable to stop the waterfalls from her eyes.

"I love you too, Des," He smiled. She nodded her head and turned, walking away. As she got to the edge of the TARDIS console room, the Doctor forced himself to stand up.

"Oh and Destiny?" He called. She stopped and looked back round.

"Yeah dad?" She asked, the tears still coming.

"You are beautiful."

She smiled, this sentence causing the tears to fall more rapidly.

"Thank you," She whispered before leaving the room.

The Doctor looked down at his hands; he could feel it a second away. He was almost gone. Someone else was going to be in his place.

Destiny had defined her father and had stopped, just outside the console room. She placed her back against the coral beam and placed her head in her hands and cried and cried. She was losing her father. She knew not forever, he would still be there. Just with a different face and a different personality. She couldn't think straight. She was so upset about her father's 10th incarnation regenerating that she couldn't realise that the next face she saw would be her father. However, this version of her father had grown on her quickly and she had a big connection with him. She couldn't just leave him to die by himself – even if that did mean that she could get hurt in the process.

With her mind made up, Destiny used the edge of her scarf to clear her face and turned to ran back into the console room. As she did her father's voice travelled to her.

"I don't wanna go," He mumbled. Destiny looked at him as his arms flew out either side of him and his head titled back in a scream. She raised her arms to cover her face the light too bright to look at. She heard things shatter and beams fall down. Explosions went off left, right and centre and she went flying backwards in the process of it all.

Suddenly the screaming stopped and the golden glow disappeared. There were still fires and a few explosions going off. Destiny opened her eyes. She could feel a few scrapes on her face and arms and felt a gash on her cheek where something sharp had caught her when she fell. But she didn't let any of that bother her as she heard a familiar voice.

"Destiny?!" She sat up. There was the Doctor making his way towards her. "Oh gosh, you're hurt!" He crouched down to her level and took her face in his hand. "I thought I told you to take cover?" He asked softly as he overlooked her injuries.

She couldn't bring herself to say anything. She was speechless. In front of her was the incarnation that she had grown up knowing; the incarnation that actually was her father; the incarnation that she had gotten her hair colour and facial features from; the incarnation that wore the bow tie and had a funny little walk.

"That's deep," He told her as he placed his thumb over the gash and channelled some of his excess regeneration to her mend the wound. She felt it disappear like it was never there and her grazes and scrapes followed.

She looked into her father's eyes; the same eyes she owned. She then flew herself around his neck.

"Dad!" She gushed squeezing him closer to her.

"Hey, come on, everything's okay… I'm still here, aren't I?" He asked as they finished their hug. Destiny just smiled more. "So, how do I look?"

"Great!" She promised him. They both stood up. The Doctor began checking over his new features. She couldn't help but laugh as she watched.

"Legs!" He pulled his knees up and kissed one. "I've still got legs, good!" He moved onto his arms. "Arms," His eyes travelled down to his hands. "Hands. Ooo, fingers! Lots of fingers!" He wiggled his fingers in front of his face. "Ears, yes," He confirmed as he held onto them. "Eyes," He covered his eyes. "Two. Nose," He grabbed his nose before making a face. "I've had worse," He told Destiny. "Chin, blimey," He held his chin. "Hair," He took a hold of the end of his hair, feeling it longer than normal. "I'm a girl!" He cried, high pitched – causing Destiny to curl in on herself laughing. He grabbed his Adams-apple. "No, no! I'm not a girl!" He then pulled his fringe into his eye view. "And still not ginger!" He cursed. "Oh, and there's something else!" He pointed his finger at Destiny. "Something important," Destiny nodded her head towards the console. "I'm... I'm… We're," He paused as a massive explosion came from the console. Both the Doctor and Destiny moved closer to it. The TARDIS gave a lurch and Destiny grabbed hold of the edge of the console at the same time the Doctor did.

"Ha!" He beamed. "Crashing!" The TARDIS made a sharp curve and Destiny knew they were heading towards a gravitational pull. She looked down at her wrist where her watch was. The face was cracked down the middle from one side to the other. The watch was no longer spinning. They were crashing down on Earth, 1996. "Woo!" The Doctor called, he had absolutely no control over the TARDIS and he was enjoying it. Destiny couldn't blame him, she was having fun too. "GERONIMO!"

The Doctor kicked the TARDIS doors open with difficulty. He flung the rope over and it caught something. He pulled on it to make sure it was secure.

"You first," He said politely taking Destiny's hand and helping her climb out of the lop-sided TARDIS. She hoisted one leg over so she was sat with either leg on either side of the TARDIS. She smiled down at her father and then cast a glance at the TARDIS. In this position, she could see everything. It was amazing.

"Great view!" Destiny informed her father.

"Get a move on!" He encouraged. "I want a look!" He smiled. Destiny sighed and moved her wet hair out of her eyes before hopping down. When she straightened back up again, she froze. Stood in front of her was a young red-headed girl who couldn't be any older than 7. She knew this girl too well, but in the future. She recognised her from all of the pictures that she had seen in photo albums around her grandparents' house when she had been younger. This was young Amelia Pond.

She was staring at Destiny weirdly, who in turn was staring back at her in the same fashion. The two kept staring at each other, until the Doctor's cheery voice caught both of their attention and they turned to look at him.

"Can I have an apple? All I can think about is apples! I love apples!" The Doctor was hanging onto the TARDIS, just his hands and head were visible. "Maybe I'm having a craving. That's new, never had cravings before."

"Look at her Des!" The Doctor cried happily, his arms open wide spinning round in circles. He was spinning round the TARDIS console. Destiny smiled. She was sat on the stairs, watching him.

"She's beautiful!" Destiny laughed at her father. He stopped spinning and stoked the middle of the console.

"You hear that old girl!" The Doctor smiled. "She thinks you're beautiful!"

"I never did really like the other one," Destiny shrugged her shoulders. "I always preferred this one…" She froze as she realized what she had said.

"You knew all along?!" The Doctor laughed, bouncing over to her and placing a soft kiss on top of her head.

"Uh… yeah," Destiny had changed out of her wet clothes and now wore a blue, striped hoodie with a pair of skinny jeans. She had her hoodie sleeves rolled up to her elbows and her elbows on her knees, resting her chin in her hands.

"Let's go back and get Amy!" the Doctor cried. "She can come travelling with us; what do you think?" He ran back over to the TARDIS and flicked a switch. Destiny opened her mouth, but was interrupted by the Doctor. "No, wait! Spoilers! You already know, don't you?"

"Yeah," Destiny said, with a knowing smile.

"Well then, here we go… grab hold of something Des, I don't know how well this is going to go!" He said, taking hold of a leaver and pulled it down towards himself. "Geronimo!" He yelled as they jerked to the side.

They landed with a clunk and Destiny stood up. She watched the Doctor run towards the door and smiled slightly. She knew that they were 2 years late – she had been told how long Amy had waited for him… Rory had let it slip during a bedtime story when she had been younger… the Doctor cursed him for it. Destiny smiled at the memory. She walked over to the railing and stood facing the door. The door soon opened suddenly, with no push. Amy looked it to see the warm, welcoming, golden glow. Destiny waved at the red haired woman. Amy raised her hand slowly, before turning to look at the side, where Destiny assumed the Doctor was stood. She laughed slightly.

"Come on in!" Destiny called. "I don't bite!" Amy slowly walked in, the Doctor slipped in after her and dodged round her as Amy stared wide eyed at her new surroundings.

"Well? Anything you want to say? Any passing remarks? I've heard them all," The Doctor said smugly, knowing that there was no way Amy was going to deny the chance to travel with them.

"No, really," Destiny added. "He really has heard them all," She smiled at Amy, who didn't reply… she was still taking in her surroundings as the Doctor walked round Amy and up the steps to the TARDIS console but as he passed Destiny he tapped her nose with his finger, causing her to frown slightly.

"I'm in my nightie," Amy said uncertainly as she looked back over to the Doctor.

"Way to state the obvious!" Destiny smiled again turning to walk over to the console.

"Oh don't worry," The Doctor said cheerfully. "Plenty of clothes in the wardrobe,"

"And possibly a swimming pool," Destiny commented as she went to pull a leaver down, just to see what it did. She found her hand being smacked away by the Doctor.

"Don't touch!" He ordered, pointing a finger in her face. He turned back to Amy who was stood at the bottom of the stairs. "So, all of time, and space…" He began. "Everything that ever happened, or ever will." He smirked. "Where do you want to start?"

"The future," Destiny piped up.

"Not you," The Doctor said, casting his eyes over to Destiny. "You aren't the guest!"

"You two are so sure that I'm coming," Amy sighed walking up the stairs.

"Yeah," The time traveller and his daughter said at the same time.

"Yeah, I am," The Doctor walked towards her and smiled as he walked past her, around the console.

"Why?" Amy asked as she flicked a switch.

"Oh don't smack her hand away then!" Destiny mumbled crossing her arms. The Doctor's eyes glanced over to Destiny again.

"Because you're the Scottish girl in the English village. And I know how that feels," He said, attempting to get Amy on board. Destiny knew her grandmother too well; she would never turn away her raggedy man.
