Training
Eve's POV
So now we're all at a training camp at a beach, but it doesn't seem like any of us are training that much.
I'm relaxing in the water peacefully with Snow until the idiots Gray and Natsu race into the water and start having contests for everything that is possible on a beach. Then they decide to go back to the hotel to take a nap or something. Snow and I sweat-drop from our place in the water at their carefree attitude about our training.
Now everyone goes off on their own to do their own training since we all have different magic except for Gray and myself.
I am standing at the peak of a cliff and relaxing my stiff muscles. My eyes are closed and I'm breathing in and out slowly, "I need to improve my power to the point where I will never have to unseal my true power again." I murmur. I form my hands in the ice creation position, "First I'll work on getting my magic to reach a farther distance from me while attacking." I open my eyes, "Ice Make: Heaven's Spear!" I shout and a huge spear forms and stretches out away from me while the end is in my hands. I push myself to make it go farther and farther until I can no longer see the tip along the horizon.
I continue training on various things that need even the lightest bit of improvement with my ice magic. I decide to go back to the hotel when it starts to get dark.
All of the other girls, Lucy, Erza, Snow, Wendy, Levy, Juvia, Carla, and I are all wearing the traditional wear provided by the hotel as we walk along the porch outside and stare up at the stars. "Look at the stars, they're so beautiful!" Lucy exclaims in awe and I grin and gaze up at them as well as the others.
"I wonder if everyone else is training hard too…" Levy trails off.
Wendy adds cheerfully, "Maybe they're looking up at the stars right now, just like us!"
Lucy is standing next to me and says with a bright smile: "I have to train harder as well!"
~The Next Day~
Luke, Zee, and I decide to go off into the forest to train with each other for today, leaving the others behind to do their own thing on the beach. Snow told me that she knows that she won't be picked to participate in the Games, so she decided to take another day to relax at the beach by herself.
"All right guys, this is gonna be the best three-way fight we've had!" Luke pumps his fist in the air enthusiastically and wears a haughty smirk, already.
But, actually, for once, I'm on board with him. "Definitely! And I don't plan on going easy on you guys either, you're gonna get it all!" I grin.
Zee shouts, "Let's go!" The three of us race at each other and start our battle.
~Three Months Later~
"It's strange, we still haven't seen any of the others except for Jet and Droy that we were the beach since the second day of training." I muse as I take a sip from my glass of wine at a bar we're sitting at in the hotel.
Zee shrugs, "Maybe they decided they wanted to go away for their training to make sure nobody bothers them. Isn't that what we're going to do in that abandoned forest not far from here?" He glances at Luke for verification.
Luke nods in agreement, "Yeah, the plan is for the three of us to go there for a day or two. It's supposed to be an all-out fight until only one of us is still left conscious." He explains and then grins evilly as taking a long drink of his beer.
"Oh, that's just fantastic." I grumble and finish the rest of my drink in one gulp.
"Oh, and I heard that in Lamia Scale Lyon and the famous Wizard Saint Jura are going to be participating this year." Zee comments and shoves a ton of food into his mouth.
Luke laughs, and his new drink he just received from the young bartender sloshes in his glass, "Oh yeah? I heard that apparently Blue Pegasus has a secret weapon, too!"
I laugh loudly with Luke, "Can't wait to see what Blue Pegasus has up their sleeve!"
~At the Forest~
I create a bridge of ice to get to the abandoned forest across the ravine. Once I'm over and on the other side, I break the ice. The three of us split up a little while ago to meet on whatever parts of the forest we find each other. We will attack as soon as we see another and like Luke said before, it's all out and whomever is left standing wins.
I quickly sprint into the forest in search of either one of them.
"Come out, little boys!" I cackle in a high-pitched voice.
Suddenly a huge gust of wind blasts me up into the air, but I quickly right myself by swiftly landing on the tip of one of the trees. "How's the weather, up there?" Luke calls up cheerfully and then launches himself up with his own air to attack me head-on.
"It'll be pretty cold for you soon!" I laugh and form my hands in a ice creation position, "Ice Make: Bow and Arrows!" I load an arrow into the bow and aim it at Luke, whom is hovering a few feet above me in the air. "A bow and arrows is the perfect weapon to shoot down a little birdie!" I cackle again and let an arrow fly to him.
"Nice try, but that won't do anything to me!" Luke laughs and puts up a wall of wind as a shield. It easily deflects my arrow, but I smirk despite my first failure.
"Well then, how about my advanced attack with the bow and arrows?" Luke raises a curious eyebrow. "Ice Make: Infinite Ice Arrows Attack!" More than one hundred arrows appear in the sky above Luke's head, and I notice his face turn a papery-pale white.
"Oh crap," He mutters then speeds off before the arrows begin their decent down towards him.
Fights like this continue between the three of us for the next few hours.
I pop up suddenly when I hear the missing group from three months ago voices'. I appear next to Natsu who is writhing in agony on the ground with glowing red magic lines all over his body. "That looks painful." I say bluntly and Gray and Lucy jump up almost ten feet into the air out of surprise at my sudden appearance.
"Eve?! How did you get here?" Lucy exclaims once she recovers from the heart attack I gave her and my brother.
"Well, it all started when my mother and father decided they wanted children," I start in a know-it-all voice and then a body crashes into me from behind. The body knocks me to the ground, but I get up with my aura seeping out pure fury. "Who was that?!" I shout.
Luke strolls out of the treeline with a haughty smirk. "Now Zee's out for the count. Really, the little electric eel wasn't that hard to knock out!" I laugh in amusement and shake my head with a wide smile spread across my face.
"I won't argue with you on that one." I reduce my laughter to chuckles.
I notice Gray open his mouth to speak out of the corner of my eye. "What are you three doing?" He questions, with a little curiosity in his voice.
Luke sends a blast of wind to collide with me full on, but I put up a large wall of ice to block the general impact. It pushes me back a little, but no damage is done to my body by any means whatsoever.
Luke answers my younger brother for me, "We're training! Unlike you slackers, we don't need our Second Origin unlocked to catch up with this time's magic!" He boasts then lunges for me again to send a roundhouse kick powered with his wind to send me further through the air when it collides with my body.
Although it doesn't send me flying. That is only because I dodge it at the last second and jump up to have my feet balanced on the top of Luke's head. Then I jump up again and smash my heels into his skull which sends his face to kiss the hot sand.
I end it with picking him up by his hair and sending a hard punch into his stomach. He's knocked out cold when I drop him.
Then I stand up straight again and stretch my arms above my head, "I won!" I grin and yawn tiredly. I glance at the writhing Natsu again, "So, you guys gonna experience that lovely excruciating pain, as well?" I glance at Gray with amused eyes and he sweat-drops nervously because I just reminded him of it.
"We have to, because of our seven year blank." Lucy replies for him, a little wary of me because of the beating I just gave her elder brother.
I make a face, "So, how are you guys doing that anyway?" I glance around until my gaze rests on a certain woman whom is not in our guild. "Oh, it's UItear, that explains it then." I step over to greet her, "How are you and the other two you've been hunting Zeref and dark guilds with?" I ask causally as she hesaintly shakes my hand.
Then her eyes turn startled at my bluntness, "Wait, you're-"
I interrupt her with an impatient sigh. "Yes, I'm the woman who has been secretly helping your guild out throughout the time you have banded." I say in exasperation and yawn again and sleepily blink my eyes. "I am also one of your late mother's pupils, and Gray's older sister."
A groan comes from by my feet on the ground. I look down to see Zee's face scrunched up in pain. "Ugh…. I feel like I got hit by a train, then beat up by Luke, and then the train came back again for a missing passenger." I laugh lightly and help him up.
After a few seconds, we both glance down at the unconscious Luke with matching evil grins adoring our devilish faces. "Let's drown him in the water."
Lucy starts to protest in surprise, "Um, wait a minute!" She steps towards us when we lift Luke up by his arms and legs.
We look at her with wide innocent eyes, "He deserves it for what he did to us!" Gray and Lucy both blanch and I roll my eyes.
"Oh come on, we weren't really going to do it." I drop my end of Luke, which is his arms, so he face-plants for the second time today. By the way, we picked him up upside down. Zee laughs and drops his end as well and now the lifeless Luke is in a similar position to what he was a few minutes ago.
I fall fat down on my back onto the sand and stare up at the beautiful orange sky. Natsu's shrieks and gargles of pain reach my ears again and I grimace, "Okay, that's starting to get to me." My eyes dart over to UItear, who is now drawing the circles on the rest of the girls and Gray, "So how long does the pain last?" Now Gray and the three other girls are writhing and crying on the ground along with the first participant.
"Well, it depends on the mage." UItear starts to explain and I listen in interest, but one of my eyebrows start to twitch at the sound of Gray's pain-filled grunts and shrieks not far from where I am laying. "If the mage has a large amount of magic power, then the process is much longer because the same amount from the Second Origin needs to unlocked as well."
I grin while heaving myself up to my feet. I stretch my arms above my head again, "Maybe I should try it. To get a bit of a boost for the Games." Zee spits out water from the water bottle he got out of his backpack and then chokes on it too at that statement.
Once he recovers, he splutters out, "You don't need that, you crazy ice queen!" He stares at me with eyes widened in bewilderment.
I shrug, "Why not? I might need the power up if there are some powerful mages there." I grin and cross my arms over my chest.
Zee sighs and waves a hand in the air in dismissal, "Fine, whatever, do what you want, but I sure as hell ain't doin' that." He glances at the girls and two guys writhing and shuddering in pain on the sand and shivers in horror. I roll my eyes at him.
Suddenly, I sense an enormous amount of magic power headed in our direction and immediately my head snaps over to meet Zee's eyes. He nods and knows who it is as well as I do. I turn to UItear with a fake smile, "Well, it was nice seeing you, but we feel a little tired from our battle, so we're going back to the inn. Could you tell this to whoever is available?" My eyes dart over to our friends who are still on the ground.
"Of course." UItear replies, "And we will be rooting for Fairy Tail from the sidelines, so do your best." I nod respectfully and walk off with Zee following close behind me with Luke hoisted over his shoulder.
