Jane's P.O.V.

I woke up in the arms of a serial killer. I smiled up at him and nuzzled closer.

"Good morning." I yawned.
"'Morning." He kissed my forehead and held me closer.

Wasn't this great? I had been crushing hard on Jeff since he had first moved and started going to my school back in those old days. I would never admit it but the feeling was always there lingering and fluttering gently like a butterfly passing me by.

Suddenly, I came back to reality and remembered last night. I quickly pushed Jeff away and groaned. I stood up, placed both hands on my hips, and glared at him.

"I'm still mad at you." With that, I walked out of the room.

Jeff's P.O.V.

Man, I really screwed myself this time. I didn't see Jane at all for the rest of the day. I didn't see her at all for a week. Yeah, I did my killing as usual but... For some reason, that little girl kept appearing. Every. Single. Time. I tried to shake it off but something was strange about her. Why did I feel like I knew her? It all was some crazy puzzle that I was determined to put together. No booger-eating little shit was gonna win against me in some damn mind games. No, no.

Jane's P.O.V.

It had been a week. I slumped on the black leather couch next to Nina and frowned.

"I don't know what to think about Jeff..." I glanced over at her and sighed.
"Tell him how you feel." She shrugged.
"How pathetic!" I scoffed.
Nina rolled her eyes.
"Look, what are your feelings for this prince?"
"I love- I mean I hate- I mean-..."
Nina shook her head before placing both hands on my shoulders.
"Jane. Be real for once."
I bit my lip and stared at the ground. I brought my head up and stared back at Nina.
"The thing is, I don't know... I don't know what to feel."
"That's completely normal in your situation."
"It is?"
"Of course it is."
"Alright..."
Just then, Ben was heard screaming upstairs...

"HELP! HELP! OH SHIT, HELP!"

"Ben!" Nina and I both yelled as we raced up the stairs.

I threw open Ben's bedroom door swiftly and we both ran in.

"I ASKED FOR PEPPERONI, NOT ANCHOVIES! DAMN IT!"

I breathed a sigh of relief when I noticed Ben had only the wrong pizza order. He grumbled a bunch of gibberish at the pizza and went back to his game.

"Ben you scared the living poop out of us!" Nina yelled.

"Sorry bro."

"I'M A GIRL."

"...sis?"

"Ugh!"

Nina stormed out of the room.
I went to follow after her but she went out of sight.

"Nina?" I called.

As soon as I turned the corner, I knocked into Jeff.

"Sorry I-..."

The distance between us was zero. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me so very sweetly.

It seemed neither of us had to even speak to know we both felt the same.

He picked me up into the kiss and held me. My arms wrapped around his neck as he spun me around.

Suddenly, my head began to ache horribly. I pulled back, screaming in pain. My whole world from there went black...

?'s P.O.V.

I had been watching mommy rest now for hours. I could see daddy pacing around the room and waiting by her bedside with her hand in his. Why couldn't they know I existed? It hurt so much. I threw open the window and climbed in. This was something that came natural to me.
Daddy drew the knife out from his hoodie and pointed it at me on alert.
"Stay back..."
He clenched his teeth together.
"I just wanna see mommy."
"''Mommy'?"
"Yes."
"Look, kid. Go back to your home with your parents."
"But you are my parents."
"No, we are not!"
"I was adopted! You both died and I was adopted!"
"Bullshit."
"Look!"
I reached into the pocket of my nightgown and pulled out an old newspaper article and my adoption papers. Daddy read them right away.
He dropped them to the ground after he was done reading. He fell to his knees.

"... You-..."

Mommy sat up and held her head.

"Jeff? Who is that little girl?"

Daddy approached mommy and held both of her hands in his.
Softly, he spoke,
"That is our daughter, Jayna..."
