"Okay so this is bad" Naruto said observing Sayaka for lack of a better turn becoming nuts! She was diving head long into solo witch hunts. However Naruto managed to catch wind of this little hunt and hid away so he could observe her better. But his blood froze at what he heard next.
"I don't feel any pain anymore!" Sayaka laughed.
"Yeah, not cool" Naruto said jumping in and blasting away at the witch, Soon the labyrinth disappeared. He looked at Sayaka, who's eyes had now clouded over with grief.
"What do you think you were doing?" the blunette asked
"Saving a friend" Naruto barked.
"Like you care; like any of you miserable BASTARDS care about what I think" Sayaka said
"That's not true, you know its not true" Naruto said as Sayaka picked up the grief seed. 'I think I can cleanse her soul gem with my willpower. But first' he said as he watched Sayaka limped away before he powered down. 'I'll need some backup' Then the rain started to pour "A sound soul dwells with a sound mind and a sound body, but if the mind and body is not sound then the soul becomes corrupted" he stated an old proverb his grandfather said.
At the nearest bus stop Madoka was waiting for Sayaka.
"If I don't fight like that then I can't win" Sayaka said
"But if you fight like that, than its bad for you" Madoka said "just because you don't feel any pain doesn't mean it's not hurting you"
"Then what is good for me huh? Who are you to tell me what's good for me, because I'm now a monster, a walking corpse; what's good for me anymore besides hunting witches?" Sayaka asked. "Maybe if you fought instead of me, then you'll be able to help me" Sayaka said. At this point standing in the dark and rainy night was Homura and behind her was Naruto.
'This is bad' the two observers said as Sayaka mention something about Kyubey before taking off.
"We may have to stop her" Homura said leaving "But for now I need to talk with Kyoko about something
"No way, we will have to stop her. But the big question is how to do that without hurting Maddy" Naruto said stepping forward; he watched as Madoka just stood there in the frigid rain. He pulled out an umbrella and covered Madoka who was frozen in shock, he smiled softly
"Hey now let's get you Home. Homura can deal with Sayaka"
Sayaka was running to a place she didn't know, all the while crying for what she had said to her dear friend, the rain didn't hide her tears. The thoughts of what she had experience of the solo witch hunts, the truth behind her 'wish' and the heartache she was feeling was all building up without a way to release it.
"I'm so stupid, how could I have said those things to her" Sayaka wailed, unaware of the woman she was passing her had a light above her making the rain go around her.
"Because when the heart is saddened the mind will not listen. That is one of the things that makes life interesting" the woman said before fading away "I'll see you soon Sayaka Miki" Soon the rain had lessened but it still felt heavy to Sayaka.
"Okay so your time looping have given you insight into this thing" Kyoko said slurping up some Udon noodles. "But I haven't hear of Walpurgisnacht before"
"Some say it's the Entity of Grief, others say it's the punishment for making a wish"
"Okay, but like I said before how do you know this is going to happen again"
"I too would like to know that" Kyubey said "Houmra Akemi"
"Oh boy do you have some of the biggest balls on the planet right now showing yourself here, especially what you did to us" Kyoko snarled pointing her spear at the alien
"And what will happen to us when our soul gems lose their lustre" Homura said pointing a gun at the furry thing. "What are you doing here anyway?"
"I'm here to tell you Sayaka Miki will be causing you trouble before Walpugistnacht, not only has she used tyoo much magic, but a curse is growing inside of her"
"And whose fault is that huh?" Kyoko asked
"Not mine, all I did was give her the power" Kyubey said before disappearing
"We have to help her" Kyoko said raring to help her new friend.
"I'm sorry, but I know how this is going to play out and I'm sorry" Homura said
"But like you've said before things change"
All of the next day Naruto was searching for Sayaka, he had taken down several witches, grabbing their seeds to heal Sayaka's.
"Ring scan for Sayak Miki ASAP" Naruto shouted
"Confirmed order, alert Puella Magi detected" the ring said
"WHERE!" Naruto said
"Below, Puella Magi identified as Homura Akemi and Kyoko Sakura, additional alert Sayaka Miki is in proximity" the ring said
"Trace Sayaka, we don't have time to waste sorting out their grudge" Naruto said before seeing a flash of light "Then again" he said landing near the girls and summon a will wall "WHAT'S GOING ON HERE!" he bellowed making the two stop
"I was going to go after Sayaka, but Homura keeps trying to stop me" Kyoko snarled.
"I told you I know how things are going to play out and this is not going to end so well" Homura said
"Kyoko go after Sayaka. I'll talk with Homura"
"Sure" Kyoko said
"You're wasting my time" Homura said
"Let me tell you something fun about Homura, This jacket I wear that looks like a uniform is basically a limiter jacket; meaning I haven't been using my real power. heck I think I've been barely using half of it" Naruto said making Homura's eyes widen
"Then why haven't you?" she asked.
"Never needed to, until now"
"Warning Witch detected." the Ring said
"It happened." Homura said a tear trickled down her tear
"Sayaka, there you are; what happened?" Kyoko asked tracking her to a multi-level abandoned building.
"I'm sorry for causing so much trouble"
"Th-that doesn't like you"
"Yeah you're right, I guess I just found out this world doesn't give a shit about me" Sayaka said with a far away stare while hold her blackened soul gem, "Hell the world doesn't give a shit about themselves" before looking up with tears in her eyes "I was so stupid."
"That's not true" Kyoko said panicking while getting out a grief seed "HERE use this quickly!"
"I can't it's too late for me." Sayaka said teary eyed "Please kill me" she begged before her soul gem exploded
"NO SAYAKA!" Kyoko shouted transforming into her Puella Magi form and summoned her spear. "I'm sorry I couldn't save you, allow me to apologise by taking away your grief"
Kyoko quickly jumped into the fray slashing at the grotesque Mermaid Knight, who blocked it and sent a cascade of wheels at her. Kyoko jumped back and blocked each wheels. And her familiars just sat there performing a concert distracting Kyoko in throwing off, She knew that it would be hard to defeat her friend
"Sayaka hold on" Kyoko shouted as she heard the witch using Sayaka's voice to scream. She knew then and there she was not in for an easy fight. The witch's two giant swords clashed down on the redhead's spear cracking it a bit before the redhead threw off the wheels. Blood was leaking down her cheek. Looking sadly she cut off the witch's hand and summoned a giant spear. She smiled softly. "Goodbye
"KYOKO!" Naruto shouted entering the labyrinth as she used her final move surrounded by flames of red and gold creating an explosion "NO!" Naruto screamed creating a barrier. However the attack didn't work and Kyoko's soul gem was now shattered. Naruto saw the body of Sayaka and moved Kyoko next to her. "You've had a hard life now have a peace afterlife. Make sure mum and dad are happy as well as your family and Gramps" he cried before looking over to the witch
"Rune translation" Naruto said
"Oktavia" the ring said
"Well then Oktavia congratulations" Naruto said as he focused his power ring making shine brightly as he's jacket and pants faded away to reveal his true Green Lantern uniform, which was ninja like with black on the leg and outer body, green boots, gloves and inner torso with the Green Lantern insigne in the middle, just where the heart would be. "You've just pissed me off" he said before closing his eyes as he started to recite the Green Lantern's oath
"In brightest day In Blackest Night
No evil shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil's might
Beware my power GREEN LANTERN'S LIGHT!"
With those words Naruto charged at Oktavia, once he was close the witch swung at him. Dodging the blade he unleashed a willpower infused punch breaking the blade in half. Next he summoned a Halberd and attacked the tail leaving some heavy damage to it was the witch dived under the concert hall into a pool of water
"Where do you think you're going?" Naruto asked summoning a fist while flying towards the water. He threw the punch which once it hit smashed the witch's head while bringing it up. Naruto summoned a massive katana blade and grabbed the handle.
"THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MESS WITH ME!" Naruto roared as he divided Oktavia into break leaving only the grief seed behind. Which he blasted with a Ring blast destroying it. Soon the labyrinth dissipated back into the abandoned building with Sayaka and Kyoko looking peaceful even though they were gone.
"No life signs detected" The ring said seeming sad.
"Kyubey! It's going to pay for this. I don't care if they did it willingly; It corrupted their wishes. I am going to burn its hide and make sure that its kind gets the hint: Don't mess with Me!" Naruto said leaving the building, but not before lighting a small fire to create a bit of smoke so people could tell where they were.
Once across the street Naruto let out his tears, Every ounce of rage, fear and sorrow. He stood up and looked across the street where he left the two girls. Now he was without family considering Kyoko was the last living member, and he dreaded to tell the news of Sayaka's passing to Mami and Madoka. He hoped that Homura had told them and was with Madoka comforting her. But something caught his eye: a white light. Racing quickly back across the street as he willed a gun into existence, he ran up the stairs two at a time to get there faster; Once he reached the floor where the girls were nothing was there. He was soon down casted again and turned to leave before
"Alert life signs detected" his ring said making Naruto freeze before turning back to the bodies. Upon looking closer he could see their chests raising and falling; and most of Kyoko's injuries were gone. Naruto couldn't believe it. He was sure they were dead, could he have been wrong. Transforming her grabbed the two girls and headed back home with tears still in his eyes, only this time they were tears of joy
'They're alive he thought' Naruto said 'I don't care how or why, by lord thank you' he said unaware that a redheaded woman who observed Sayaka watched as he took the two girls with him. She smiled as the light made and ring on her hand glint in the light.
"Watch over the Naruto, like I am watching over you" the woman said. She kept smiling while she faded away.
