The next morning, everyone was ready to go when the production team asked the girls to stay in the cottage, while the boys had to wait outside.

"So, girls. Just like the song shuffle date, it will still about the guys' choice and also still about personal preference. The guys had prepared this beautiful necklace with different pendants and you just have to choose, which one do you like the best. However, if you like the same pendant, then you have to decide by yourself," Marley informed the girls.

Quinn, Rachel, Santana, and Brittany were paying attention closely as they saw Marley took out four boxes that contain the necklace.

"I'll open this first and you see it for a while, okay?"

There were indeed four different pendants. A wings pendant, a star pendant, an elephant pendant, and a dolphin pendant.

"Wow, as hard as I tried, I could never guess who chose which pendant," Santana said.

"But they did a great job, though. These are pretty," Quinn said, earning an agreement from all the girls.

"Okay. Are you ready to make your choice?" Marley asked them.

When she saw all four girls nodded their head, she said, "On the count of three. One… two… three!"

The four guys stood in front of the girls' cottage, waiting for them to come out. By the look on their face, they looked as nervous as they did during the first date.

"What take them so long?" Puck whined.

"You need to remember that they are girls. Sometimes, they took forever to be ready even when they only went to grocery store," Mike said.

"Guys, someone's coming," Finn suddenly said and his words made the guys turned their attention back to the door of the girls' cottage.

It was Rachel. She was holding the tiny box that contains the necklace. All guys were fidgeting in their place.

"Good morning, boys," she greeted everyone with a wide smile.

The boys mumbled "Morning, Rach," and then Rachel said, "Should I open it now?"

"The faster the better," Finn answered.

"Okay then. Whose the owner of this beautiful necklace with star pendant?" she asked the guys while opening the box.

The guys didn't give their answer right away, instead they looked at each other with a grin plastered on each of their faces. After a while, one guy finally took a step to the front.

"That would be me."

It was Puck.

Rachel totally didn't see that coming cause she looked so surprised. But she said, "Can you put this on me?"

"Sure," he answered as he went behind Rachel and put the necklace on her. "Alright then. Ready to go, Rach?" he asked her as he offered her his hand.

"Yup. See you later, guys!" Rachel said as she took Puck's hand and let the mohawk boy led him outside.

The production crew didn't give the guys a break cause just as Puck and Rachel left, someone's coming out from the girls' cottage again.

"Just keep it fast. Who's the owner of this necklace?"

Only one people could talk to the guys like that. It was Santana Lopez. She opened the box and showed the guys the wings pendant that she chose.

Just like earlier, the guys didn't answer the question right away. But Santana wasn't the patient type of person.

"Come on! It's hot out here. Make it faster!" she demanded.

"Fine, it's me," Finn answered her.

"You? Wow, I don't know you have such a nice taste. Anyway, put it on me."

Finn came to her and put the necklace on her while the Latina girl glanced at the other two guys.

"Well, well, well… Look what we have here. Seems like one of you will have a date with my Quinnie again," she smirked.

"I'll just let Sam have her before he can murder me," Mike chuckled.

Before Sam could reply, Finn said, "Alright. Ready to go, Santana?"

"Yeah, let's go. Bye, guys! See you later!" she said as she grabbed Finn's hand and went outside.

"So… it's down to us and the blonde girls," Mike said after a while.

"I guess so," Sam responded.

"It would be epic if you get partnered with Quinn again, dude!"

"It's a 50/50 chance, Mike. Maybe you'll get partnered with Quinn again."

Mike was about to reply when they saw Quinn and Brittany came out from the girls' cottage. Quinn looked surprise when she saw the two guys who left.

"Wow, good morning…" Quinn said.

"Morning, peanuts!" Brittany chirped.

"Morning, blondies!" Mike greeted them.

"Hey!" Sam, who also had blonde hair protest.

"Sorry."

"Okay, before the two of you kill each other, we're going to open the box, okay?" Quinn said to the boys while opening the box along with Brittany, revealing the necklace with elephant pendant in her hand and the one with dolphin pendant in Brittany's.

You couldn't tell who was the owner of each box cause the guys gave them an unreadable face, or more like, too surprised face.

Suddenly, Mike turned to Sam and shook the blonde guy hand. "Congratulations, dude!"

Sam face turned red while the girls were starring at them, looking very confused.

"Here, Brit. Let me put this on you," Mike said as he approached the taller blonde girl.

At Mike's words, Quinn felt her jaw dropped. "You've got to be kidding me…" she said in disbelief.

"Got a problem, Q?" Sam asked her with a smirked on his face, while he took the necklace from the box.

"No… not at all. It's just…"

"Unbelievable?" he smiled.

"And unpredictable."

"It looks good on you," Sam said as he finished putting the necklace on Quinn's neck.

"Really?" Quinn could feel her cheeks went red.

"Um… Sam and Quinn, are you ready to go cause we're ready…" Mike said. He already held Brittany's hand and ready to leave the resort.

"Oh, yeah. Let's go. Ready, Q?" Sam asked as he offered his hand.

"Sure," she answered as she took his hand.

And with that, the two couples left the resort for their date.

"So, where are we going?" Quinn asked when they already seated in the car.

"I'm thinking about breakfast," Sam answered while he drove them. True that they didn't even know where were they going, but the production crew gave them a set of GPS so that would help a lot.

"No, silly! The date!"

"Well, we're going to meet the guys at the beach later at noon so we're not going too far from the designated beach, I guess."

"Does it have to do with water?"

"Nah, I won't tell you. You need to wait and see," Sam winked.

"You're mean…" Quinn mumbled.

Sam chuckled. "You will change your mind at the end of this day, you know."

They fell into a comfortable silence. Quinn was enjoying the scenery. This place is really pretty, I should go back here someday, she thought. She was still lost in her own thought when she heard Sam talked to her.

"It's pretty cool, you know, that we're partnered again. I mean, having different partner is interesting and the others now have the advantages cause they'll have more people to choose."

"So, you're saying that you're not happy with me?" Quinn asked sounded upset.

"No, I just–"

"Well, why don't you drop me off here or drive me back to the cottage then?"

"Q, what are you saying?"

"It's clear that you don't want to get on another date with me, right? You prefer to go with Santana, Brittany, or Rachel so you can have more people to choose. Well, in that case–"

"Q, come on! That's not what I mean."

"–you should drive me back to the resort. I'll call Mike or Finn or Puck and asked to change partners. Easy, right?"

Sam was too stunned to speak. He just kept driving with a blank mind.

"Sam," Quinn called him. Her voice sounded threatening.

Sam gulped. "Yeah?"

"Turn the car around!"

"Nope. Not doing that."

"Why was that? You're the one who didn't want to go on a date with me," Quinn said not looking at him.

Sam was frustrated. He parked the car on the side road but not opening the lock.

"Why you still lock it?" Quinn asked.

Sam sighed. "You think I'm really gonna drop you off here, Q? A gentleman won't do that."

"A gentleman shouldn't say what you said earlier…" she mumbled.

But Sam definitely could hear that. So he said, "Hey, Q? I'm sorry if what I said hurt you or something but I didn't really mean it that way."

"Then what do you mean?" she asked and turned her head around, finally facing him.

"What I mean is… yeah, that part of having more people to choose is such an advantage but I don't mind spending the rest of the week only with you," he smiled.

"You do?"

"Yup."

"Okay."

"Okay?" asked Sam confused.

"I'm starving. Can we eat breakfast now?"

"Well, of course we can. We're about to reach the place. But tell me, you're still mad or no?"

Quinn grinned. "I never mad at you, Samuel."

"What do you mean?" This time, it was Sam who got confuse.

"I just wanna see you frustrated and it's damn funny!" Then Quinn burst out laughing.

If Sam was frustrated before, now he was dumbfounded. Quinn continued laughing.

"I'm totally going to get a payback for you, Fabray! It's on!" Sam finally said.

"Wait, what? What payback?" Quinn asked, still laughing.

"Nope. Not telling you."

"Oh, come on!"

"I'll give you a hint then."

"What's that?"

"It has something to do with water," Sam said with a smirked on his face.

"No. I'm not doing this."

Sam and Quinn finally managed to arrive at the pancake place where they had their breakfast. It was located near the beach, so they could enjoy the scenery while munching their pancakes. While eating, they shared some conversations, mostly about their family back in the States. Sure they told each other about their siblings but they still wanted to know each other better.

Both were relatively new in the industry so it wasn't that weird that not many people recognize them. The staffs of the pancake place recognized them though and they requested for a picture. Sam and Quinn loved to take pictures but the production crew said no, so they ended up not taking any picture. Both felt guilty and kept apologizing afterwards.

But eventually they moved forward. Sam took both of them to the date he's been thinking. Quinn kept asking but Sam didn't give any hint to her. He just let her kept guessing. And once they arrived, Quinn just stood next to the car, not moving even an inch.

"Oh, come on, Quinn! This is fun!" Sam said while he walked to Quinn's side.

"What's so fun about bungee jumping?" Quinn asked frustrated. She hated heights. She was fine with flying around on planes but when it came to a high platform or something like that, she's terrified.

"You got to fly high in the sky. Come on!" he said as he took her hand in his and intertwined their fingers.

He began to pull her but she didn't even move an inch. He turned around to see the blonde girl then he realized something. She was scared.

Quinn was still terrified but she was confused when she saw Sam grinned at her. "What?"

"You scared?"

"Scared of what?"

"I don't know… maybe heights?" he said as he went closer to her and played with their fingers.

"It's scary, you know…" Quinn mumbled as she brought her gaze down.

Sam lifted her chin up. "Hey, don't be scared. You're going to be up there with me," he smiled at her.

"Still not doing it…"

"So, you're going to wait down here while I jumped from up there?"

Quinn nodded.

"Okay then…"

Sam smirked then he went to Quinn. Quinn was confused but then Sam just lifted her over his shoulder as if she weights nothing.

"Sam! What are you doing? Put me down!" she protested.

But Sam didn't say anything. He went towards the main building to get both of them signed up for bungee jumping. Sam finally put Quinn down but he wrapped his arm around her waist so she couldn't run away.

"You're mean…"

"You know, you've gotta stop saying that. It's not as bad as it looks and you gotta thank me later," Sam said calmly.

"There's no way I'm going to thank you for this. I'm terrified of heights and you're forcing me to bungee jump!"

"Hey, it's not like you're doing it alone."

"What do you mean?"

"We're going to jump… together," Sam grinned.

"Really?" Quinn felt her eyes went wide.

"Only if you want-"

"Well, of course that would be easier. Thank you."

"Ha! Now you thank me."

Quinn smacked his arm. "Don't make me change my mind."

"No, you won't. Let's go!"

Minutes later, they were up at the platform, ready to jump. Well, Sam was, not Quinn. Even with all the safety gear attached to her body, she was still terrified.

Quinn was standing there, frozen, looking completely scared.

"Hey Q, you alright?" Sam came to her. He started to feel guilty. He didn't expect Quinn to be this scared.

Quinn nodded. "Yeah…" She tried to convince herself that she was fine but her voice came out really shaky.

"I'm sorry. I didn't expect that you're going to be this scared. We can just cancel this and head straight to meet the others at the beach if you want," he said taking her small hands in his.

"No, it's fine. We're already up here so we're going to jump. Just… never let go of me, okay?"

"You sure about that?"

Quinn just nodded and grabbed Sam's arm tightly. Sam noticed that the blonde girl was shaking so he pulled her close to him and wrapped an arm around her small shoulder, then he took both of them to the edge of the jumping platform.

Then Sam felt something. Quinn was burying her head on his chest and he could felt her tears.

"Hey Q? Are you sure you wanna jump? We can totally cancel this, you know?" he asked concernly.

Quinn couldn't answer. She just let out some tears, still burying her head on Sam's chest. She was convincing herself that she could do this but now she just couldn't.

"Quinn?"

"I'm sorry… I just can't do it."

"It's okay," Sam hugged her and rubbed her back, trying to calm her down. "Let's go down now."

"No… no. I'll just go down by myself; you can continue to do the jump. I know you want to do it."

"Nah, not gonna happen. I want to do it with you. But it's okay. Come on, let's go down."

Once Quinn and Sam were back, the production crew decided that they needed to take some break. Both celebrities just agreed and they settled themselves in the nearby café. They were joined by Tina and Artie.

"Hey, guys! So, what happened up there?" Artie asked the blondes. Tina and Artie didn't follow them up to the jumping platform, only the cameramen so they didn't have any idea what was going on.

"Nothing…" Quinn mumbled. She was a bit embarrassed.

Sam could totally feel the blonde girl discomfort so he answered for her. "I didn't know that she was actually that scared of heights."

"Sorry for crying though. I'm such a cry baby and that's embarrassing."

"I don't mind actually. I gotta see the human side of Quinn Fabray."

Quinn furrowed her eyebrows. "What do you mean?"

"That's the real you, not the actress Quinn Fabray we've all known and seen."

"So you're saying that now you're seeing the fake Quinn?" There's slight hurt in her voice.

"Not that way. What I mean, we usually see the actress side of Quinn Fabray and today we've got to see what Quinn Fabray looks like if she's being herself, not being the actress-self."

Quinn furrowed her eyebrows again. "I'm confused…"

Sam chuckled at Quinn's cute confused face. "To make it simple, this is the real you." He ended it with a smile.

"Okay…" Quinn nodded.

"Art, Tee, do we have more time before we hit the beach?" Sam asked their writer team.

"Well, it's only 10:30. We're going to meet the guys after lunch actually. Why you ask?" said Tina while flipping the schedule book.

"Actually, I still have one more place to visit. We still have time for that, right?"

"Surely do. If you wanna go now, I'll call the rest of the production team," said Artie.

"Sure. Thanks guys."

After Tina and Artie left, Sam turned to Quinn. "Up for the next date place?"

"If it involves heights again I'm going back to the cottage," Quinn threatened.

"How could I do that if I already know that you're that scared of height?" he said as he nudged Quinn's shoulder playfully.

"Well… I don't know."

"Believe me, you'll love it."

Quinn smiled. "I trust you."
