Perry woke up that morning trying to pull Doofenshmirtz close, but ended up pulling a pillow towards him. He sat up confused and made his way out of bed to find the doctor inspecting the time travel machine they had locked away. 'g-g-g-ggrt?'

"Oh good morning Perry the Platypus, I had an idea last night considering the time machine that you told me never to use."

Perry crossed his arms.

"I know but hear me out you see with this baby I could go back in time to my childhood and somehow prevent it from it becoming so bad! Like stopping our lawn gnome being repossessed!"

Perry did some calculations in his head and came up with a horrible conclusion. He shook his head wildly 'No! You can't do that!'

Doofenshmirtz was oblivious to Perry's sudden outburst and continued setting up the machine "see you Perry the Platypus! I'll be back in a second" Perry leapt towards his head grasping onto it

"What on earth are you doing Perry the Platypus?!"

'Saving our future is what I'm doing!'

Perry began to spark and blue smoke waded round his ankles 'you couldn't pick a WORSE time!' the sudden weight of the human Perry on Doofenshmirtz's head made him fall forwards onto a red button. The time machine sparked and fizzled into a purple cloud. Perry changed into his clothes whilst they were hurtling through the space time continuum and Doofenshmirtz was screaming next to him 'Baby…'

They suddenly arrived in a dark alley and they both fell silent.

"Wh-where are we?" Doofenshmirtz stuttered.

Perry heard voices and inspected outside the alley.

'g-g-g-rrrt!!'

"What is it Perry the Platyperson?" Doofenshmirtz asked joining him.

They were both stunned to find over a million people standing around a stage by Phineas's house

"Sorry Phineas my man but if we don't start we're gonna have a serious metal riot on our hands!"

'…Phineas?'

Doofenshmirtz squinted "is that…Love Handel?!" he started jumping up and down "Score! This is the Love Handel reunion earlier this summer!"

Perry had a déjà vu moment from what Phineas had said the last time he had used the time machine 'we must have hit the button that led to the last destination…' he concluded.

Doofenshmirtz took Perry's hand "come on lets take a look!"

Perry pulled him back 'no way. We can't risk causing a paradox'

Doofenshmirtz pulled him close "we weren't even there for the beginning remember? We were half way across town." He smiled holding Perry's cold hands "Pleeeeeeeeease…?"

Perry sighed and led him towards the crowd

"Ok boys let's blow the roof off this place!"

Sherman beat his sticks against the drums and the lights shone out to the crowd. Danny approached the stage striking an ultimate chord on his guitar and continued to play. Doofenshmirtz recognised the song instantly "oh I love this song! It always reminded me of…!" he completely forgot Perry was standing right next to him. He stopped abruptly blushing hard "i-i-i-I like t-this song…hehe"

Danny approached the microphone and Perry held Doofenshmirtz's hand blushing with him.

"Perry the Platyperson…" Doofenshmirtz began blushing and turned to Perry.

Perry looked up at him innocently 'yes?'

Doofenshmirtz gulped "i-i-I have always liked you…e-even though their were times you really annoyed me foiling my schemes all the time…I-i still…'f-felt' something between us"

Perry blinked 'so did i…'

They held eachother close feeling their hearts race against their chests.

"Perry the Platyperson…do you love me?"

Perry hesitated but nodded 'how long have you known…?'

"I've known a while…how long have you known that I…?"

'I've always known…'

The lights flickered off and on and they both looked up at Ferb "well don't just stand there! Kiss her!"

Doofenshmirtz turned a deep scarlet as he leaned in close to Perry "I love you Perry the Platyperson…" he kissed him softly on the lips and the crowd cheered around them. Perry just stood there blushing and kissing back gently. Even when he changed back into a platypus the kiss didn't falter.

A scream and a crash were heard behind them and Doofenshmirtz smiled "that would be me, then."

Perry smiled and pulled him behind a speaker so they couldn't be seen 'you didn't stop.'

Doofenshmirtz scratched his head "s-should I have stopped when you changed cos I just figured...mmppth"

Perry the Platypus pulled him close and their kiss continued.
